Bee was relieved that Jack had stepped forward to help her. She would have liked it better if they were all going to do it together, but Bee respected that Mack wasn't up to going towards it. She put her hands on the cabnet and then nodded at Jack. Together, they pulled the cabnet away from the corner and looked in. She felt like she had gone blind. She could see the corner, hear the noises, but she couldn't see anything. Nothing was there.

Jack grabbed the cabnet and pulled it back with the help of Bee. He looked at the corner and saw a thick layer of dust and some scratches on the wall, but nothing else. He could still hear the noises, but he could see nothing. He looked at Bee and saw the same bemused expression that was on his own face. This was weird. Too weird for Jack's liking.
"There's nothing there." Jack told Mack with a glance over his shoulder. He could hear the noises get louder and louder, but nothing proved that the thing that was making the noises exsisted. Jack had a sudden crazy thought, 'What if he was the only one that could hear the noise?! Was he going mad?!' Jack looked at the other two and then said, louder than normal, "Can you hear it too?"

Mack looked up "Nothing? Zilch? Nada?!" She asked, walking up to them. She peered into the corner where the cabinet once stood. She twirled her ponytail around her index finger and tilted her head, "That's impossible! Where's that sound coming from?!" She stopped twirling her hair and put her hands on her hips. Mack looked at Jack with a raised eyebrow, "Yeah, I can hear it. I don't like the sound of it." She told him, she then looked at Bee; "Please, tell us, we aren't mad. Can you hear it as well?" Mack crossed her arms and shifted uncomfortably.

Bee gave Mack a half smile. "I can, I just wish I couldn't." Bee said quietly as she inspected the wall. There were scratch marks on the walls, but no hole was visible. "It must be coming from inside the wall," She informed the other two even though they probably noticed this already. The noise was starting to get more distant. Whatever it was was moving away from their voices. Bee looked at the others, wondering if they would like to pursue this adventure any farther, or just leave it rest.

Jack was relieved that he and Mack wasn't going mad. After all, the very thought of hearing noises and seeing nothing that could explain them was strange. Jack almost smacked himself when Bee suggested the most reasonable explaination. The thing was in the wall! It seemed to be moving away from them and Jack wasn't up to ending the adventure right now. Bee seemed to be thinking the same thing. But Mack might not want to, and if Mack wasn't going to, Jack wasn't.
"So, should we follow this thing or should we go back outside?" Jack asked innocently but a smile on his face.

Mack sighed and flicked some bangs out of her eyes, she looked at Jack with a look that said are you crazy? "Stay in here, and get scared, or go back outside and be bored? Such a hard choice." Mack giggled and continued in further, she turned left and ended up going up a flight of stairs. They creaked and before she stepped onto the next stair it collapsed, "Oh!" She said in surprise, "Alternate route?" She asked them, trying hard not to laugh.

Bee was glad Mack had decided to stay in. This was getting intreresting. Bee followed Mack as they headed up the stairs. She stopped though, since the wood that held the stairs looked decay. "Lets be--" The stairs had collapsed. Bee giggled and asked: "You're alright, right?" Mack looked fine, so Bee looked around for a different passage. There was one, except it looked as if it was a tunnel going underground. Bee wasn't to crazy about going underground, but she pointed it out, anyway. "There's a way." She said, pointing her finger at it. A peice of dirt fell from the ceiling of the tunnel. It was very small, so they would have to crouch if they wanted to go through it. Also, who knew where they would end up?

She followed Bee to the tunnel, and looked it. Claustrophobic fears came back to Mack and she tried to breathe in deeply, but she only cuaght dust in her lungs. She coughed and wiped at her mouth as she looked into the tunnel again. It was small, and they would probably have to crawl through it in order to get to the other side, Mack wasn't sure she wanted to but she didn't want to put a damper on this investigation. She stood up and flicked her bangs out of her eyes, holding back another cough, she said: "I'll go in, if it collapses don't come in, if it doesn't....I'll give you the go ahead." Mack blinked and coughed again before crouching down. She just wanted to get this over with.
Her arms went into the tunnel, getting dusty and arousing another cough from the little Slytherin third year. She heard a click but didn't bother to look at what dropped. Her clothes were now all dusty and looked horrible, but she didn't care. She continued to crawl through, her blonde hair getting rather dirty, it felt matted and stingy, and Mack hated how she felt when she finsihed crawling through the little tunnel. The other side didn't look any different then the one before, and Mack was quite disappointed. She was disappointed, that is, until she heard that sound again. Mack looked over her shoulder and screamed: "YOU GUYS HURRY!" SHe shrank to the floor, quite frightened.

Jack watched as Mack crawled through the small tunnel. He was surprised that she had decided to go first, but he didn't say anything. He heard her cough a couple times and then nothing.
He was just about to shout out to her when her heard a terrified scream. Jack jumped and looked at Bee, very scared. His eyes wide, Jack looked down at the tunnel and then down at his hands, which were shaking.
"I'll go through," Jack told Bee and without any farther hestation, Jack started crawling through the tunnel. He was about half-way when he heard the noise. He stopped and looked around. He saw nothing near him, but how could the thing be crawling in the dirt? He frowned and continued on his way, until her heard it again, even louder. He stopped and then heard a terrible crunching noise. He looked up and saw the roof was caving in. It was cracked and some of it was falling onto Jack. He coughed and blinked; it was getting in his eyes. He crawled even faster, trying to get away from the cracked part of the roof.
It caved in about five seconds after Jack had crawled out of the tunnel. He saw Mack's scared face and heard the noises. His face turned paper as he looked back in the tunnel. The whole thing had almost collapsed; there was no way in or out.
"Bee!" He shouted. He looked at Mack and then called again. "Bee!"

Bee heard Mack scream and thought that her heart had skipped a beat. She looked at Jack who said that he would go in the tunnel next and see what happened. He took a while, and Bee stood there, waiting, feeling ultimatly stupid. She thought she heard some coughing and then something else. She peered into the tunnel and then found that they way had collapsed. She was trapped on the other side.
It took a few moments for this horrific thing to make it's way to Bee's brain. She heard Jack calling her name. "I'm alright!" Bee yelled, feeling nervous. She moved around, not sure what to do. Should she go in the tunnel and see if she could move the rocks? Or should she stay out here and look for another way? She scuffed her feet against the floor, making dust swirl around her.
"What should I do?" Bee said desperatly.

Mack coughed and sat up to see the tunnel completely blocked off, "Bloody hell..." She said as she stood and dusted herself off. The sound came again and she jumped, around looking all around her, making sure nothing was there. She looked at Jack and said, "Wand? Where's your wand?" She would take hers out, if she hadn't dropped it in the tunnel.
"We can use your wand, with Bee's, to press the rocks in two different directions so they shatter. It mightn't work, but it's worth a try." She told him, coughing again and trying to stay standing. But the dust was getting to her.

Bee sighed in relief as Mack suggested a reasonable solution. "Great idea, Mack!" Bee shouted. "I'm going to go on in. Jack you better be in there soon!" She entered the tunnel, tying to stiffle a bout of coughs. Unable to control them, she burst out in a coughing fit and had to lean against the wall. She couldn't stop until she covered her mouth so she could breath fresher air than without her mouth being covered. She crawled towards the barrior in her way and took out her wand.
"Ready!" She called before breaking out in coughing again.

((I am going to write a bit differently. It'll sort of be in first person, but not really.))
'Great Idea, Mack!' I heard. Me? Have great ideas? Is that possible?Mack thought as she watched them begin, There is a million ways this could go wrong, and Bee thinks it's a good idea?! For all we know, this could make things worse and not better. It could make the shacks collapse totally on us. wouldn't that be a treat? What spell would they use anyway? Is there a spell for compressing two things together? Oh, yes, brilliant idea, Mack. Jeopardise your friends even more. That's the way to go! She kicked herself mentally.
She looked to Jack and sighed, "You better go in," she told him. And this is just like a movie, she thought, the heroes going in to save the day, oh yes. That's gonna end perfectly. There will of course be a happy ending, won't there? I'm not positive anymore, I don't think I want any happy endings. I jsut want one that's relatively good. One that doesn't involve my friends or parents or the drama in between. My entire life I have had to deal with sad endings, depressing middles, and horrible beginnings. A series of unfortunate events, and now I think I have given up all my hope just because my entire life there has been nothing to hope for. Not even love.
"Be careful, ok?" She whispered into the dark as they began the process of operation break out, What if this all goes wrong? What if something worse happens? What if the shack does collapse on us? Oh, God, what have I done? She reached for her wand, but it wasn't there. Damn! "Jack! My wand! It's in the tunnel! See if you can find it...please!" What will I do without my wand? It's my power. It's the only thing I have control over! Mack closed her eyes and whispered a quick prayer, hoping everything turned out alright.

Jack looked at Mack carefully, uncertain what was going on with her. He took a step forward and then glanced back at Mack. "I'll be there!" Jack called to Bee. "Everything will be fine," Jack said calmly, attempting to sooth Mack as much as himself. Everything will be fine! Jack stepped forward again and entered the tunnel.
The dust didn't bother Jack as much as it did Bee. He could hear her coughing in the distance. He thought he heard a small voice saying "Ready!" Jack pulled out his wand and gripped it tightly. Everything was going to be fine...... He took a deep breath and muttered a random spell that could put pressure on an object.
"GO!" He screamed at Bee, who wasn't doing anything, or her wand wasn't working for some reason. What is happening? I don't like this! "Go Bee, GO!" Something was happening. A terrible sound was coming from the tunnel. Jack looked around wildly, looking for the source. It seemed to be coming from the...roof! The tunnel was in danger of collapsing all over again!
It took a moment for this horror to take place in Jack's mind. He stumbled backward and fell to the ground. He had run into something on the ground. He groped blindly for the thing he had stumbled upon and found a wand. Mack's wand! He struggled to get up and looked at the ceiling of the tunnel. At least Mack was out of danger. He would just have to worry about Bee and himself. The crack in the roof widened and finally gave in.
Jack tried to pull himself away from the collapse and found that he couldn't. His leg erupted in pain and he yelled out. A huge rock had landed on his leg. Tears sprang to his eyes as Jack attempted to push the rock off. It turned out to be hopeless, so he abandoned all attempts. He remembered Bee and started shaking in fear, for himself and his friend.
"Bee!" He screamed into the muffled silence. All rocks had stopped falling. "Bee!" What have I done?!

No! No! Stop don't fall! Damn it! I knew it would go wrong! I knew it wasn't safe, why did I let them do it?! WHY?! Mack blinked back hot tears and tried to get adjusted to the new darkness. She could hear Jack screaming for Bee, and Mack found herself crying despite her restraints. She knelt on the ground and thought, her mind working like gears. She could do this...
Hit that high note, and you can cause an avalanche.. Mack's eyes popped open, and her blurry vision returned. This could make everything better, or everything worse. She tried to remember which way the shack was slanted and she realised it was slanted the way she wanted it to be. Mack smiled through her tears and stood up, "You guys, if you can hear me, cover your ears if possible. I don't want to shatter your eardrums. I am going to sing a really high note, causing all the debri to roll off you or away from you towards the exit of the shack. Then we're getting the hell out of here!" She called to them.
Mack breathed in as much air as she could without coating her lungs in dust, and began. She started low and worked her way up to the highest note, her eyes clenched shut. She didn't know if it worked, or if it made everything worse. She didn't want to know...

Bee used a random spell to push the rocks together. At first nothing was happening. She heard Jack say something that she couldn't quite understand. Bee started coughing again. Even more dust was in the air. It was falling onto her head, into her mouth. She coughed harder until she almost couldn't' breath. Where was this stuff coming from? Bee heard a sudden noise that made her eyes open wide in fear, the cave was going to collapse!
Bee saw a huge crack in the roof and noticed that it was widening and lengthening. Fear entered her mind and passed through her body quickly. She sat there, paralyzed, until she realized that if she didn't move quick, she would be stuck on the other side again. She wasn't going to let that happen. She made a jump for the other side where she knew Jack would be. Mack hadn't entered the tunnel, but Mack would be on the same side to. The same time Bee had jumped, the rocks started to fall. She felt rocks hitting her and then everything was black.

Jack searched around on hands and knees for his lost friend. He hadn't heard her cry out in pain or say a distant, "I'm alright!" Everything was dead silence, which made Jack feel uneasy. He had Mack's wand clenched tightly in his hand, his wand in his other. He moved around until he ran into something soft. It was Bee's head, at least he thought it was. He could feel her hair, so he knew it must be her. Jack shook Bee gently, wanting her to get up so they could leave this place. She made no sign of movement.
Now, Jack started to panic. This isn't good; it's awful. If she was dead..... He gave himself a mental shake. He would find out once he pulled her out of this tunnel. This was going to be harder doing then he had thought. Bee seemed like a dead weight, and he couldn't lift her in his arms since he couldn't stand up. He would have to drag her and the rock was still on his leg. He was stuck.
He heard Mack say something that he couldn't quite make out, and then the strangest sound he had ever heard filled the shacks. It was almost eerie and as it picked up to a high note, Jack felt his eardrums throbbing horribly. He covered his ears quickly, which only deafened the sound by a little. He felt sorry for Bee, but he couldn't do anything about that. He suddenly noticed that the rocks were...moving! The rock on his leg was tumbling forward and soon it was gone. All of the rocks were.
Jack tried to resume his crouching position but found that he couldn't. His leg must have been broken. He hesitated and then called out faintly to Mack: "Mack! Help needed!"

Had it worked? She didn't have time to find out, she heard Jack calling for help, and she hoped to God; if there was one, that he had her wand. Because she wasn't much of a help without it. She jumped over a fallen beam from the ceiling and made her way over to them. Bee was unconscious and Jack looked to have broken a leg, Mack seemed to be the only one who wasn't extremely hurt. Except for her heart. Which was being pierced with a dagger, one thousand times. But despite the ping, she knelt down beside Jack and took her wand back, "Are you not a wizard, Rendel?" She asked him nastily. She pointed the wand at Bee and muttered, "Wingardium Leviosa." Bee floated up in the air, Mack kept her wand pointed in her hand that way, she wouldn't drop the Gryffindor.
"Get up Rendel, lean on me, it seems like I'm the only person worth surviving something like this." She snapped at him, her anger showing rather profusely now. Mack held out her hand for him to grasp, her eyebrows raised, but her eyes never leaving the floating Bee.

Jack was getting hurt even worse from Mack's words. What the hell did she think she was doing? Trying to make him feel even worse? He already had the pain of his leg, but hurting inside was even worse than anything else. He dragged his leg so he was closer to Mack.
"It's too bad I'm hurt otherwise I wouldn't need your help, Holden!" He spat the word Holden as if it was something nasty. He saw Mack lift Bee in the air. His leg was really starting to hurt now. He grimaced but didn't want to show his pain to Mack.
"You're the only one who's not suffered because you wouldn't come in the tunnel!" Jack sneered at her. "To afraid? You could have found your wand and then could have helped, but instead you stood outside, prancing around. You and your great idea helped us a lot!" His voice was wavering uncontrollably; the pain was unbearable. He grasped Mack's hand and pulled himself up the best he could. He leaned against her, his face set. "Let's get out of here."

"Fine! You don't want my help, that's alright with me Jack! I wasn't afraid to go into the tunnel! I just figured you would want to save your precious Bee! Besides that do you think the tunnel would hold all three of us?! You're thick if you think it would! It's physics Jack, PHYSICS! I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING! DON'T CONTRADICT ME!" She snarled back at him, her blue eyes turned to ice. She aimed Bee towards the door, when the last of the Gryffindor was out, she clasped onto Jack and pulled him out as well. Glad to see sunshine and breathe fresh air. Bee was lain gently on a patch of grass, and Mack helped Jack over there as well. When she set him down she said, "I'm glad you're okay, Jack, but when I give ideas, don't bash them. I bash myself enough already. Heal yourself, it's clear my help isn't wanted here." She sighed and turned to leave.
