The joys of almost being insane (Annabella)

It was only the second day back at school and Danny was already pushing back homework to do something that he thought was more important. Even if that thing was just to walk around the castle with nowhere better to go. Danny smiled as he just kept walking around empty hallways and corridors. It was great to finally back, to use magic, to see people he had missed and to meet even more new people. Danny was so happy he couldn’t help but laugh this had become his home and it would be weird to leave this place and know he could never come back. He kept laughing out of the pure joy of being at Hogwarts till he started to walk passed a pair of girls talking then looking at him as they passed each other.

As soon as the pair of girls passed he want back to his huge smile. “Note to self, stop being so weird… and start with not talking to myself.” Danny said to himself laughing again. “I should really get back to the common room and finish that work.” Danny thought deciding to turn down another hallway. “Nah, it’s nothing hard yet. Just another one of those how was your summer things.” He thought as he looked a portrait of a skinny lady and a man in a suit of armor both waving at him and Danny waved back because he was just in that kind of mood. “Have a nice day you to. I’m going to go nice to meet you.” Danny laughed as he said goodbye to the portrait. Danny really started to think he needed mental help as he walked away.

Danny kept walking and still smiling overcome with the joy of finally being back at Hogwarts. Danny didn’t think he had ever been so happy to be somewhere in his whole life. Danny kept walking till he made another turn down another hallway. A girl with red hair was the first thing he noticed when he made the turn down the hallway, she was walking about ten feet ahead of him. Danny smiled thinking to himself that today was going way to good and he should atlest meet someone new and possible make a new friend. He started walking a little faster till he was almost right beside her. “Hello there, I’m Danny. You wouldn’t happen to know where with hallway is going?” He said smiling as he looked over to her just trying to start a conversation.

Annabella couldn't believe it, it was only the second day back to school, and she had gotten lost, on her way to the common room. Even though she had been at Hogwarts for three years, she still had problems with remebering where things were. She would have to work, on fixing that. Hogwarts was a huge place with lots, of rooms and corridors.

It was one of those corridors, where she was currently lost. She had no clue where it was, or where it was going. So she just decided to follow it and see where it, would take her. And if she was lucky it would take her back to where her common room was. She was walking quietly when she heard somebody walking behind her, and then very suddenly that person appeared almost beside her.

She turned around to see a boy who introduced himself as Danny, he seemed to be a little older then her and was in Gryffindor by the looks of his robes. He had asked if she knew where this corridor lead to. She shook her head and said "No I'm sorry I don't, I'm just a little lost." she said sheepishy "Oh my name is Annabella, It's nice to meet you Danny." she said as she extended her hand towards him. Hm maybe he can help me get, back to my common room? she thought to herself.

Danny smiled as she answered back that she didn’t know where it led and said she was lost. Then she held her hand out and Danny shook it then let go. Danny had got lucky when he saw that she was a Hufflepuff by her uniform. Danny in the back of his head thought that she might have been a Slytherin which probably would have ruined this great day he was having. “It’s nice to meet you too Annabelle.” He said smiling still as he looked down the corridor. “Not to worry I can probably help you.” He said smiling. “With a small chance that I might just get you more lost then you were before.” Danny added laughing. Danny knew where he was kind of but he just wished that these corridors would be different but they all looked the same expect for the portraits on the walls.

“So where are you looking to go?" Danny said hoping that he knew where she was going to say. Danny knew a lot of the castle but with a castle always changing you could never know where everything was in this castle and that was always weird. Doors that led to nowhere walls that looked like it had a door on it but was really just the wall and changing staircases would make getting lost so easy and Danny had gotten lost plenty of times in Hogwarts.

Annabella smiled as Danny had taken her hand, and shook it saying it was nice to meet her. Her smile widened when he said that he could probably help her, and when he said there would probably be a chance of him getting her, more lost then she was, she laughed along with him. She felt a bit better and a little more relaxed now that another student was with her, and even if they did get more lost there would be two of, them to figure things out.

She blushed a bit and grew a little embarrassed when, he asked where it was she was going. She took a few moments before she answered him. "Well my common room actually....you would think that after three years, I would know where to go. But this castle is forever changing so nothing stays the same." she looked around the hallway as she said this, and saw a painting of a young girl, sitting on a rock combing her hair. The girl in the picture smiled at her and waved, Annabella smiled back and waved to her before turning, her attention back to Danny.

"So what were you doing in this particular corridor?" she asked

Danny smiled thinking about where the Hufflepuff common room was and he wasn’t really sure about that. He knew it was somewhere by the great hall and figured if he got her there she would know where to go from there. “The Hufflepuff common room… lets see.” he said smiling and pretended to think. “Nope your lost can’t help you.” He said laughing it was always like him to make some joke like that, that was only really funny to himself. “No I’m just kidding I can help you.” He said smiling down at her. Then she started waving to someone behind him so he looked behind him and just saw a portrait waving back at her. “I see I’m not the only one who waves at the portraits.” He said laughing and joined in by waving back at the portrait too.

Danny turned back to Annabelle as she started asking him what he was doing in this corridor and Danny smiled again. “Just the usual things I do. Walk around, find new places and look for beautiful damsels in distress. The usual.” He said laughing. “And so far I’ve done all three of those so today is going great.” Danny added laughing. Looking around the corridor Danny knew where he was going now the great hall was a few corridors and stairs away. “Well let’s keep going this way for now. There should be some stairs up ahead soon. That is unless you want to stay lost.” He said laughing looking down at Annabelle again.

Annabella smiled and waited while Danny, looked like he was thinking about where the Hufflepuff common room was. A few moments later he had said, that she was lost and he couldn’t help her laughing afterwards. She couldn’t help but laugh with him and after, he had said he was kidding and he could help she laughed again and said “You’re a real funny guy Danny.” Danny had turned around when he had seen her waving, and saw only the portrait and made a comment, about him not being the only one to wave at portraits. As he waved to the portrait himself Annabella said “Well I see no reason not to, I mean if they are kind enough to wave or talk to you, in the first place why not do it back. I mean there is nothing wrong with it.”

He turned back to her and answered her question, about why he was in this corridor. She smiled and nodded as he, had further said that he had done all three of the things he mentioned so the day was going great. Annabella had blushed a little bit when she heard the part about the beautiful damsel in distress, and thought to herself Hm he can’t be talking about me, maybe he helped some other girl out today and was talking about her?

She noticed that he began to look around the corridor, most likely trying to figure out the way they should go. So she took this time to study him a bit, he had brown hair that came just below his ears, and hazel eyes a great match to her, he was a little taller then her, she figured about 5’9, and he had an average build to his body. She also figured by the looks of him that, he was either in fifth year or sixth year. Too bad I wasn’t three years older, or he was three years younger. She thought to herself. She was brought out her thoughts when Danny had said, that they should keep going in the direction that they, were already walking and that some stairs should be coming up soon. She nodded just as he made a remark about unless she wanted to stay lost.

She laughed again with him and then said without thinking, “Well if it’s with you why not.” A few seconds later she covered her mouth and, looked up at him a little horrified and embarrassed and said “Did I say that out loud? Oh boy. Let’s…just keep going.” She turned around and began to walk, and hoped that he didn’t think she was weird or something.

Danny smiled as he looked at her when she said that he was funny. “Well thank you very much. I hear that all time.” He said laughing then listened to her explain why she waves to the portraits and Danny agreed. “Ya I know what you mean I don’t know why other people find it so weird.” Danny said still laughing then laughed even more as he remembered one time when he was at some muggles house. “Then again when you talk to a muggle portrait and keep asking it why it isn’t moving then that is pretty weird.” Danny kept laughing remember how he had done that and the few muggles that were around him were staring at him and asking him if he toke any kind of special medicine.

Danny smiled then laughed after she answered him about staying lost then asked if she said it out loud. Then she started walking down the corridor and Danny followed her lead. “By all means you can get lost with me if you want. I‘d probably in enjoy it ten times more then when I get lost by myself.” He said laughing still following her only about a foot behind her. “I normally start talking to myself when that happens. Like if I ask myself where to go I’ll answer back with the answer.” Danny started laughing knowing that sadly that was true. He kept looking forward but still no stairs just the corridor and a girl with very long red hair.

“So how did you get lost in the first place young damsel?” Danny asked still smiling and still walking a foot behind her. As Danny wait for her replied he started to wonder way he always seemed to talk like some knight, using words like a damsel in distress and things like that. It just felt natural to use words like that then Danny laughed out loud as the next thought went into his head. “Maybe I was a knight in a past life or something like that.” He muttered out loud still kind of laughing.

Annabella smiled and said “You’re very welcome; it’s very rare to come across somebody who knows what, humor is and stuff….well at least to me anyways.” She muttered the last part to herself kind of. She nodded in agreement as Danny had agreed with her about waving to portraits and, not understanding why people find it weird. “I don’t know myself.” She said as she listened to him laughing, He has a nice laugh she thought to herself, as he was silent for a minute before laughing even more. She couldn’t help but to burst out laughing, herself when he had explained about talking to muggle portraits, and asking them why they didn’t move. “Oh my, did you really do that? I hope no muggles were around at that time?”

Annabella blushed even more when Danny, had replied to her statement about getting lost with him. He had begun to follow her and was about, a foot behind her. He then began to explain that when he was lost, by himself he would talk to himself and answer about where to go. She smiled and let out a little laugh and said “Well yeah I do that sometimes my self….I don’t know it makes me feel better about being lost in the first place. That probably sounds weird to you huh?” she asked as she looked around, and noticed that they had not come to any stairs or anything. It was still just the two of them and one long corridor.

Danny was still about a foot behind her, when he asked her how she had gotten lost in the first place. She had stopped walking to allow him to catch up to her, and sighed and replied “Well actually I was on the second floor, and peeves was flying by and I asked him, and he said to come up to the fifth floor and turn right, and then left and to come down this hall, I should have known better then to trust him, and I should have caught on when he flew away cackling like he did.” She blushed in embarrassment as she waited for him to catch up.

As he had gotten closer, she heard him mutter loudly about being a knight in a past life, while laughing. She smiled a bit and asked “Danny? Do you believe in everybody having a past life? I do myself. I believe everybody has a past life, like you for instance, maybe you were a knight in a past life that could explain why you always talk like one, or maybe that is simply because you are a charming boy.” She smiled and looked down the corridor and then back to him. “Myself. I think I have the typical past life every girl dreams about, the princess who like to help and save people.”

Danny laughed as she asked if there was any muggles around. “Well just a few and they were all staring at me but my parents were around so they just said I was very special.” Danny continued laughing as he said that. “I guess it was very easy to believe because then they just went on with there day.” He added now just smiling. Danny then laughed again listening to what she said next and he was still follow and a foot behind her. “It’s doesn’t sound weird at all, Sometime I just talk to myself for no reason at all.” He said laughing. “But that doesn’t mean you’re crazy at all. Now when you hear yourself answering you back then your crazy.” He added laughing remembering that, that was something his mom said once and it was funny how he had just remembered it now.

Danny watched up ahead and noticed she stopped walking when he had asked her why she was lost. At first Danny though he had said something wrong or something but after she started talking again he just guessed she was letting him catch up to her. Danny stopped right where she did and smiled as she finished explaining way she was lost. Danny couldn’t help but laugh, he hoped it didn’t seem mean in anyway but he had learned after his second run in with peeves to never trust him. “I think you would have had better luck asking a Slytherin for directions then peeves.” Now Danny was just smiling down at her as she started asking him if he did believe in past life’s and kept listening as she was talking.

“I’m not really sure if I believe in past lives completely but its just nice to think that in some past I was a knight fighting to protect people or something noble like that.” He said laughing. “And I’m sure you were a very great and beautiful princess.” He added smiling down at her then looked down the corridor then looked back at Annabella smiling. “Well after you my princess.” He said bowing and smiling. “I’ll make sure to protect you from all dragons, evil knights and most evil of all that annoying cat of Filch’s.” He said laughing at the very end when he got to the part of the cat. Standing up straight now Danny looked down the corridor and started to think he was wrong about where he was going but if was then he guessed she was going to get lost with him anyway.

Annabella’s eyes widened a bit and then she laughed, as Danny said that there were indeed muggles around when he had spoken to the portrait. But his parents who were with him just said, that he was very special, and that they must have believed them because they went on, with their day after that. “Oh wow that must have been a pretty close call; did your parents get you in trouble afterwards? I know if I had have been in that situation, my dad would have sat me down afterwards, and given me a very long lecture.” She laughed a bit. Boy his laughing all the time is contagious….but it’s also fun she thought to herself. She smiled and listened as he said that talking to yourself is not crazy at all, but when you start to answer then you’re crazy. Annabella smiled and then smirked saying “Well then, I guess we are both crazy seeing as at one point, we had both answered ourselves.” She laughed out.

Annabella smiled and watched as Danny, caught up to her as she was explaining how she had gotten lost. After she had finished Danny began to laugh, and at first Annabella thought he was laughing at her, but after he had said that she would have had better luck, asking a Slytherin she knew that he wasn’t. “Hm I think if it came down to Peeves or a Slytherin, I would take my chances with Peeves. I think the Slytherin whoever it may be, would want something in return.” She then sighed and decided to lean up against the wall for a moment, and watched as Danny had smiled at her, and then began to answer her about the past life thing she had, asked about.

She nodded as he said that he didn’t completely believe in past lives, but it was nice to think about. She blushed a little again when he had said, he was sure she was a great and beautiful princess. “And I’m sure you were a very brave and noble knight, who protected everybody from harm.” She replied as she pushed herself gently off the wall, as Danny looked down the corridor once more and then back to her. She smiled and shook her head slightly, when Danny had bowed and said after you my princess, and that he would protect her from all dragons and evil knights, and even Filch’s cat. He had laughed again after saying that, and Annabella couldn’t help but let out a little giggle as well. She bowed back to him and said “Why thank you my brave Knight. And should you get me to my destination unharmed, I shall see to it that you are rewarded.” She giggled and then turned and started, walking down the hallway again. She wondered if they were going the right way, or if they were even close to where they had to go. But for a moment she didn’t really care, as she was having way too much fun with Danny. “So Danny, anybody special in your life right now?” was the only question she could come up with, as it was way too silent for a while.

Danny smiled as she asked him if his parents talked to him after what happened with the portrait. “Well my mom did a little but just told me to be more careful in the end and my step dad…well.” He said as he kind of started laughing. “Well he told me that did that once but not in front of muggles. He thought the portrait was being cold to him and just ignoring him.” Danny said remember how nice William was and regretted being so mean he used to be to him when he was little. Danny listened to her talk then smiled again when she made a comment about them both being insane. “Well together we make one sane person so it all works out in the end.”

Danny then laughed again when she said she would rather have trusted peeves. “Maybe your right but I probably wouldn’t have ask neither of them and just stayed lost.” He said smiling. “You meet some of the nicest people.” He said laughing looking over at her. Danny laughed again as she bowed in return when he bowed and started talking like she was a princess. “A reward you say?” He said smiling as he started walking with her again. “Then I’ll have to make sure I get you back to your common room.” Danny laughed a little as she said that then looked back down to her as she started talking again.

“Anyone special hmm… not right now, I guess I haven‘t found someone who can deal with me yet.” Danny replied smiling. Danny thought about it for a second, he had a few in his past but nothing that good. Most of them just ended terrible for him and got him depressed. And he was rarely ever sad unless it was for something really bad. Danny smiled again snapping out of his thoughts knowing he didn’t want to remember any of that right now. “So how about you then, anyone special in your life right now?” He asked looking down at her then looked forward and thought he could see some stairs. “I guess I was right.” He thought to himself.

Annabella smiled and nodded as Danny, explained how his parents handled the situation of him talking to the portraits, in front of muggles. She laughed a bit with him when he explained that his step-dad had done the same thing, except not in front of muggles and his mother had just told him to be, more careful in the end. She smiled once again when Danny had made a comment; in reply to her comment about them both being insane. She giggled a bit and nodded her head and said “I guess your right. So it does work out in the end.”

She laughed again as Danny had said, that he would have not asked either of them and stayed lost. That she could understand as it made more sense, to avoid both Peeves and any Slytherin as both would steer wrong anyways. She smiled and continued walking as he, said that he better make sure he got her, to her common room since there was a reward involved. She bit her lip and looked forward searching for any sign of stairs. Hm I’ll have to think of something nice or do something for him in return for being kind enough to help me. She thought to herself.

She listened with interest as he answered her, question about weather he had anybody in his life at the moment. He didn’t saying he guessed he hasn’t found anyone to deal with him yet. Any girl would be lucky to go out with Danny. He is kind, funny and very considerate and charming. If I was three years older or he was three years younger, I’d snatch him up in a second. She smiled to herself. She looked over at him afterwards and saw that he looked a little in, thought about something so she turned her head forward and kept walking, until he asked her the same question back. She smiled and shook her head, blushing a bit. “No.. No one in my life at the moment, although it would be nice.” She turned to look at him and saw he, was looking forward so she turned her attention forward as well. She thought she could see what looked like a staircase.

Annabella felt happy and yet felt sad, happy because she would be getting to her common room, but sad because her time with Danny would be coming to a close, and she didn’t really want it to end. She was having a good time, and she enjoyed his company. She wondered if she should ask him if they could hang out a bit more.

Danny smiled down at her after she was done answering him back. “Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll find the perfect guy for you.” He said still smiling looking down at her then looking forward to what he was sure now was stairs. “I thought I was lost for a second.” he thought to himself as the stairs got closer and closer. Danny started to think to himself what the reward could be. He wasn’t helping her out for any reward but it’s just annoying to him a little to keep wondering about what something could be. Danny just got his mind off of that by trying to think of something else.

“So what do you like to do? Besides getting lost and meeting weird people like me.” Danny said laughing looking down at her and waited for her reply. Then before he knew it they were very close to the stairs and Danny smiled and looked over to her when they reached the stairs. “Now we just go down a few flights of stairs. That is unless you changed your mind and want to stay lost.” Danny said smiling and looked down at the stairs remembering what she said before.


(I'm Sorry it's so short but I'm moving tomorrow and I have to have my computer packed up and get everything ready. I'll be back in a week or so. I'm really sorry again.)

Annabella smiled at his comment about, her finding the perfect guy. She was sure he was right, and she would just have to patient. “Yeah your probably right…My Mr. Perfect or Mr. Right is probably just around the corner.” Smiling up at him. She was still trying to figure in the back of, her mind what she could give him for a reward. Offer to do his homework? Treat him to lunch? She wasn’t sure but she was sure she had a little more, time to think about it. She was brought from her thoughts when he asked her a question, laughing and looking down at her,

“Hmm well do homework; hang at the lake or gardens.um hang with friends, read.” She said laughing. Her laughing stopped abruptly as soon, as they had reached the stairs and he said all they do now is go, down a few flights of stairs. She laughed a bit when he also asked unless she changed her mind, and wanted to stay lost. “I think I’d rather stay lost with you.” She muttered under her breath, hoping it wasn’t too loud and that he had heard her.

She smiled up at him and said “Actually I was kind of wondering if you weren’t doing, any….” She was cut off in mid sentence as; she had accidentally stepped on the bottom of her robes, which were a little too big for her, and tripped. Heading for the floor, she put her hands in front of her to brace her fall.

Danny started laughing a little as she said Mr. Right could be right behind the next corner. “Well I wouldn’t say right around the next corner. You might turn a corner and see Mr. Filch.” He said laughing looking down at her. He only said that because there had been a time or two that when he turned a corning or something Mr. Filch was there. He stopped laughing as he listened to her talk about what she liked to do as they reached the stairs and he smiled. “I wish I could be more like you. Even when I try to do my homework I just never seem to get it done.” He said as he looked down the stairs thinking about how far up they seemed.

Danny looked back at her when he thought she said something but he guessed he was just hearing things which didn’t seem that odd to Danny, it sounded like something that would happen to him. He started looking down the stairs again and saw a few people on the stairs all the way at the bottom and saw another stairs move. Then Danny smiled as he looked over to Annabella as she started to ask him something. Then as she was talking she seemed to have tripped on something and started to fall. Danny with out thing about it managed to grab on to her before she hit the floor.

“Whoa there, watch it now. I planned on bring you back in one piece for that reward.” He said smiling down at her as he pulled her back on to her feet. “Even if I have to hold your hand or carry you there.” Danny said smiling down at her. “Anyway I don’t want to see you get hurt or anything. You’re far too cute for any of that.” Danny said laughing. “Sometimes I wish I would just keep my big mouth shut.” He thought to himself as he looked down at her.

Annabella shivered and then made a face, after Danny had said that she could turn a corner and see Filch. “Oh god I didn’t think about that, ewww that’s going to give me nightmares now.” She smiled and listened as he said, he wished he could be more like her, when it came to homework as he could never get it done. She laughed a bit and turned to him and said “Maybe you get to many distractions, all the pretty Gryffindor girls running around the common room?” She then noticed that he had looked down the stairs, so she did as well. They seemed to be very far up.

Annabella breathed a little sigh of relief, when she saw that Danny had not heard what she had muttered. It looked like he had for a second but he hadn’t said anything and continued to look down the stairs. She glanced briefly back to the stairs herself, and saw a few people at the bottom, and she watched as another set of stairs moved. It was then that she had tripped before she could ask him about hanging out some more. She had her hands out, bracing for the impact but it never came. She discovered that Danny had grabbed onto her and stopped her from falling. Saying that he planned to bring her, back in one piece for that reward. Pulling her back to her feet, and adding that even if he had to carry her or hold her hand.

She blushed a bit and nodded and said “Thanks Danny, I can be clumbsey sometimes. I really should get this robe tailored a bit; it is slightly big on me.” She smiled up at him and then blushed at his next statement. She looked everywhere but him, and replied “T..Thanks.” And then to get some of the awkwardness and silence gone she looked at him and smiled and said “Well then I guess I will have to be, more careful and try not to get hurt, to preserve this cuteness for you huh?” she giggled afterwards and then went down a few steps and, looked back at him. “Come on let’s go.” And she smiled

Danny laughed as he looked down at her when she said she was going to have nightmares now because of what he said. “Well I’m sorry about that I guess he would give anyone nightmares.” Danny said laughing again and kept laughing till she commented about why he couldn’t get any of his homework done. “I wish and then I would have an excuse to why it’s never done. I just seem to zone out when I try to do it. I’m just lucky I do well in the classes for the most part or I would be failing.” Danny said smiling down at her.

Then he could tell she was blushing a little after he helped he stop from falling then seemed to blush even more after he said she was cute which Danny had to admit to himself it was very true he just wished he kept his mouth shut. After she thanked him again there was a moment of silence. After that she started talking again about him calling her cute and how she was going to have to be more careful now then started down the stairs. Danny was embarrassed and blushed a little when she said that. “Yes please do be more careful but I guess I did forget to add gravity to the things I would protect you from. “ He said laughing as he watched her go down a few steps then she turned around and told him to start going down the stairs and he laughed a little as he snapped out of his embarrassment.

“O yea sorry.” Danny said as he went down the steps following her. Then there was another quite moment as they went down the stairs and then Danny remembered something about when she was falling. “Hey, right before your most graceful fall weren’t you saying something?” Danny said smiling down at her.

Danny had begun to laugh and looked down at her, after she had said that she would be having nightmares about Filch. He also apologized and commented that Filch would give anybody nightmares for that matter. She nodded and laughed along with him, until he answered her comment about why he could get his homework done. She laughed a little and nodded. “Maybe you need a study buddy, you know someone to keep you interested or give you a nudge when you’re slacking off?” She smiled and looked up to him when he, mentioned that he did well in classes. She nodded “Well that’s good at least you have that going for you.” She said

She noticed that after she had made her, comment about preserving her cuteness, he seemed to blush and get a little embarrassed, telling her to please do be careful, and that gravity was the one thing, he forgot to add to the list of things he would protect her from. She laughed with him and nodded, as she waited for him to follow her down the steps, when he did noticed, he apologized again and began to follow her.

There was silence for a while before Danny broke it, asking her what she was going to say before she had her graceful fall. She blushed and then laughed as she continued to go down, and replied “well….I was going to ask if you weren’t doing anything, if you wanted to hang out a bit longer? But you don’t have to I’m sure you have other things to do, I just…umm wanted to enjoy your company a bit longer.” She bit her lip and continued to walk down, stopping after a little while and waited for Danny to catch up with her. I know he is going to say he had other things to do, why would he want to hang around a third year…a clumsy third year at that. He probably thinks he is just babysitting or something…He does think I’m cute though…but then again he could have just been saying that, to be nice…. She battled with herself silently.

As Danny walked he thought about what she said about getting a study buddy. “Well that might work I’ll have to try that sometime and I'll have to find someone to help me too.” He said smiling at her as they walked. “But I don’t think anyone can stop me from slacking off. Well beside my mom but that just because she’s really scary when she’s mad.” Danny said then laughed and looked forward. He was starting to miss being at home now. Before school started he couldn’t wait to get back to Hogwarts but now he kind of missed seeing his mom and William but still he loved being at Hogwarts.

Danny then listened as they went down the stairs to what she was asking before and smiled as she asked it. After she asked she stopped Danny guess it was to let him catch up to her. He waited till he caught up to answer her. “Well even if I had something else to do I’d be fine with pushing it off till later.” Danny said standing next to her and smiling. “But I don’t so sure.” He said still smiling. “Maybe we could go get something to eat at the great hall or something, that is if there’s anything left. Unless you had something better in mind?” Danny said still smiling and looking down at her.

“Well anyway let’s keep going we can figure it out on the way there.” Danny started walking slowly as she said that and smiled back at Annabella.

Annabella smiled when Danny said he would have to try, getting a study buddy and that he would have to find somebody to help him. She laughed when he said that nobody would be able, to stop him from slacking off besides his mom. As she was scary when she was mad. “I think everybody’s mom is scary when they are mad. I know I felt like running and hiding, this one time my mom got mad at me.” She shivered a bit as she remembered that one incident, she was young when it happened, but still the face on her mom was enough to scare her into not doing it, again. She smiled and then looked up to him, and saw he had a thoughtful look on his face, after they were done talking about moms and their anger. She smiled softly and asked “You miss your family don’t you?”

Danny had waited till he caught up to her, to answer her question. She smiled brightly as he said that even if he did have something to do; he would mind pushing it off till later, then saying that he didn’t have anything to do, so he would like to hang out some more. Annabella nodded and listened as he suggested, going to the great hall and getting something to eat, unless she had something better in mind. He then smiled and said to keep going and they could figure it out, on the way down. She nodded and began to walk down the steps once more, keeping beside him.

“Well the great hall sounds good, I was sort of thinking maybe we could go out to the gardens, or down to the lake but if your hungry we can go to the great hall, instead.” She said and smiled. She looked around at the paintings as they neared the bottom. She figured they must be around, floor three as some of the paintings looked familiar to her, and she knew that the charms classroom was also on this floor. All of a sudden the staircase that they had stepped on began to move. “Oh great…what else can go wrong now?” she said as steadied herself.
