The joys of almost being insane (Annabella)

Danny smiled down at her as she said he was right and it was better to be safe then sorry. “Yea and plus it gives me an excuse to hold your hand as we walk.” He said laughing as they walked out of the great hall. Danny was really enjoying hanging out with Annabella and he was sure he didn’t want it to end anytime soon. That’s why he was more then happy to go to the garden with her. Danny smiled as she said it was fine that he talked that much and she didn’t think he was talking too much. Danny laughed a little as she said she was taking mythology, he wasn’t laughing at her but when he was picking a class he had narrowed down his chooses to that or divination and he picked divination.

“Wow I was thing about taking that but I decided on divination because seeing the future sounded like so much fun.” He said laughing. “But now I kind of regret not taking Mythology now.” He said smiling down at her. Then she said she could see the garden and told him to hurry up and she started to run a little and pulled on his hand. He laughed a little and started to run with her. “Anything you say princess,” He said as they ran then slowed down as they were finally in the garden. It was nice as he looked around at the plants to be there with Annabella. “Welcome to the garden princess after you.” He said as he bowed to Annabella. He could see the sun was still out but it was going to set very soon.

She smiled and blushed a little when he said; that it also gave him an excuse to hold her hand while they walked. He then laughed as they left the great hall, she glanced at him and smiled and looked forward again. She had to admit at first, she thought he was only going to hold her hand while she got up, but that opinion changed when he said it was to, prevent her from getting lost again. And now because he just wanted to. This was all new to her, as she had never had a boy pay this much, attention to her, much less flirt. And a boy three years older then her as well. Most boys his age, around the school wouldn’t have been bothered with her, and would have just led her to her common room and left. Or laugh and not help her at all, so she was really happy that it was Danny, that came across her.

She was a little surprised when Danny had mentioned, that he thought about taking Mythology, but took Divination instead because it sounded like fun. He then added that he now regretted not taking it. He smiled after wards; she smiled up at him as well and said “Really? That’s interesting, not a lot of people are interested in that subject, hence there only being 5 people in the class, as of now. It was funny, the last class the Professor spent almost the entire class, ranting about how the students need to broaden their horizons, and do new things. And not just stick to the old and familiar. He is disappointed that not many people are showing interest, and blah blah blah, one boy actually fell asleep, during the speech.” She then laughed and looked at him.

Annabella laughed as Danny began to run with her, saying anything you say princess. They had slowed down and pretty munched stopped when they had enter the gardens. Annabella looked around at all the plants, and trees and flowers as she heard, Danny say welcome to the garden princess, she smiled and turned her just as he was bowing. She giggled and did a curtsy and then walked up to a rosebush that was nearby, and leaned down to smell it. “I just love all the different smells, around here, all of the mingling with each other. What about you?”

Danny laughed a little as he looked down at her. “It’s interesting I agreed with those other people that thought it wasn’t.” He said laughing. “I was just thinking that I would have a class with you. Then we could hang out and maybe copy your work when you’re not looking.” He said laughing. Then laughed again as she said that one boy even fell asleep during his speech. “And that person would have probably been me if I toke that class.” He said smiling down at her. “But then again I was falling asleep almost in my first class today but that’s how the first class of the day is, just me trying to go back to sleep.” He said laughing down at her as they walked and him holding her hand.

He laughed as she did a curtsy then walked over to a rose bush with Danny following behind her. Danny listened to her about why she liked the garden so much and Danny just smiled down at her. “Well The smells are nice but I normally just come here for the scenery.” He said smiling down at her. “Also I like coming here when it’s quite just because it’s so peaceful here.” He said as he leaned down and smelled the roses with her which he thought smelled ok but he never really cared about the smell of roses. He looked up over at the sky and it was starting to turn orange and red. “I also come here when I’m bored to watch the sun set, sounds weird but its just fun to watch the sky change colors.” He said laughing knowing for sure that he was crazy now.

Danny smiled as he looked over at the rosebush and laughed a little not able to help what he did next. He grabbed one of the roses which he was sure no one was going to miss and pulled it off and made sure to get one that had the least thorns and handed to Annabella. “There you go now you got your own little garden you can smell all day.” He said laughing. “Just make sure not to get lost as you do it.” He said smiling down at her.

She laughed as Danny had said he agreed with most of the people, who though it wasn’t, and then said that he would just have a class with her. They could hang out and he could even copy her homework when she, wasn’t looking. She laughed at that and then listened as he said, that if he had been in that class then the person, who fell asleep during the speech, would have been him. He then told her that his first class that day, he almost fell asleep. She laughed as they continued to walk.

Danny had followed her to the rosebush, and agreed with her about the smells, and said that he likes to come here, normally for the scenery and also because it’s peaceful. “Well I do have to agree with you on that one, as well. It is nice and peaceful, and the scenery is quite beautiful.” She said and smiled as he leant down as well, to smell the roses. He then commented that he liked to come, when he was bored to watch the sunsets. Annabella smiled and turned her gaze towards the sky, as he said this and saw that, the sun was starting to set, painting the sky with oranges and reds. “Yeah, I watch sunsets all the time when I’m at home, they are so beautiful to watch, and it’s almost like watching a painting being painted.” She said and smiled afterwards and looking up at him.

Danny then reached over, and plucked one of the roses from the bush and handed it to her, she smiled and reached out and took it, as he said that now she had her own little garden, that she could smell all day. He then added for her not, to get lost as she did so. She laughed and then smiled and looked up at him and said “Thank you, I shall take very good care of it.” She paused to smell it before continuing. “Maybe I’ll even name it Danny, that way it will remind me of this day.” She smiled and the laughed, and then turned around and began, to walk along one of the many paths. “You coming?” she asked over her shoulder.

Danny smiled down at her as he listened to her agree with what he said about being at the garden. “Well to bad I didn’t say it like that I might have seemed wise again.” He said laughing then smiled down at her. Danny smiled as later on he handed her a rose and she thanked him and said she would take good care of it. Then after that she smelled it and said she might even name it Danny so she could remember this day. “So you’re having a great day too?” He asked her smiling down at her. “Well I’m sure you could think up a better name if you wanted too.” He said laughing.

Then Annabella started walking one of the paths of the garden then over her shoulder asked him if he was coming. “My dear an army of Slytherins couldn’t stop me.” He said laughing as he followed her down the path. He just looked forward to see her walking then plants all around them. Danny started wondering if Mr. filch did all of this or if it was the elves that kept this place in shape. Danny really didn’t know and deep down didn’t care he was having too much fun to be annoyed by small weird questions that went through his head. Danny kept following her and then watched her as she walked and he just smiled thinking about how great of a time he was having with her.

“Hey Annabella.” He said following her. “I’m really glad I ran into you today.” He said smiling. “I just wanted to say that before I forgot too.” He added laughing a little.

Annabella smiled a bit, when Danny said that too bad he didn’t say it, in a way he would have seemed wise again. She then laughed a little and said “To be honest I don’t think you could have worded that to sound wise, or maybe you could for all I know. But the way you said it seemed perfect to me anyways.” She then smiled and looked up at him. After he had given her the rose, and she made her comment about, taking care and naming it, he smiled and said or rather asked, was she having a great day as well. “Yeah I’m having a great, wonderful and fun day.” She smiled and smelled her rose again, as he said that she could probably think up a better name for it, if she wanted to. She smiled and then laughed a bit “ Mm I could. But I think it’s got an awesome name already.” She said and then winked at him, and smiled.

Annabella laughed as she heard, Danny say that an army of Slytherins couldn’t stop him, from following her. She turned around and walked backwards, as she said “Plow right through them, would you? That…would be interesting to see.” She then smiled and turned back around. There was silence for a little while, as they walked. But Annabella didn’t mind, she knew Danny was behind her, and was most likely either thinking about something, or taking in the scenery. She began to look around herself; she really liked the way it was set up. But she began to wonder who did this, and took care of it. Filch? The house elves? Or even Hagrid. She smiled and turned her head slightly and was about to ask Danny, if he was still alive, when he began to speak.

She smiled and blushed as he said, that he was really glad he had run into her today, and that he just wanted to say that before he forgot to. She smiled again and turned around and stopped walking, so that he could catch up. “Yeah me to. I’m glad it was you that came along that corridor, I don’t know how you feel, but I feel like we have known each other for ages. We seem to relate pretty well to each other, the conversations are nice and smooth. And you’re a really nice guy; I can’t imagine being with anybody at right now.” She then smiled and watched him, as she waited for him to catch up to her. She didn’t mention anything about them, flirting back and forth with each other though. She wasn’t sure if he was aware he was doing it, and didn’t want to make him feel embarrassed or anything. She smiled to herself as she waited.

“I guess but it would have been nice to seem wise one more time.” He said laughing then smiling down at her. Danny smiled even more as he listened to her say that she was having a great and wonderful time too. Danny was sure she was too but he was happy to hear her say it. He then listened to her talk about that she could think of a better name if she wanted to but the rose had an awesome name already. “Well thank you.” He said laughing. “You can call it Danny then if you want to. “He said laughing and he looked down at her. Danny laughed again as they were walking and she turned around walking backwards and told him that it would be interesting to see when he said an army of Slytherins couldn’t stop him.

“I know but knights go through things like that just to protect the princess.” He said laughing as he followed her and thought about who planted all of these plants and toke care of them. Then after he said he was really happy he ran into her she stopped then turned around and starting saying the same thing but in a lot more words. She stood there he guessed to let him catch up. “Well I don’t know about the knowing each other for age’s thing but yes I agree with everything else.” He said as he caught up with her then stood next to her. “You’re also nice and just great to be around.” He said smiling down at her. "Also beautful don't forget that one." He said laughing a little.

Danny then grabbed her hand again. “Ok that’s better now, let’s go.” He said smiling down at her. “Where to next princess?” He said and couldn’t help but laugh a little.

She smiled when he said, he guessed but he would have liked to seem wise one more time. She laughed a bit and then smiled, when he said that it was alright if she wanted, to call the flower Danny after she had made her comment, about the flower already having an awesome name. Before she went to turn around again, and after she had made the comment about, how it would be interesting to see, how a whole army of Slytherins wouldn’t stop him from following her. She smiled and listened to his reply, about why. Saying that knights go through those types of things, to protect the princess. “Wow I never realized knights had it so tough, having to protect, serve and whatever else they do…man it must be a tough life.” She said and smiled at him.

She smiled when Danny had said, that he agreed with her on everything but the knowing each, other for ages thing. And then he added that she was nice and just great to hang out with. He smiled down at her and then said not to forget, she was beautiful as well. She blushed and then smiled at him as he caught up and stood beside her. He laughed a little afterwards and then, grabbed her hand and said, for them to go and where to go next. She thought about it for a moment before answering. She looked around and saw that, it was almost dark. She turned to him and said “Mm maybe we should get back to our, common rooms. Its getting pretty late. Besides I’m feeling a tad bit tired, so I thought I’d catch a nap before we meet up later.” She smiled and looked up at him, and waited to see what he would say.

She didn’t really want to go back, but they were going to be seeing each other later. So she made the suggestion to go back for now. As she waited for him, she began to think about what was going to happen, when they did meet up. She didn’t know but, she did know that they were going to have fun.

Danny laughed a little as she comments about how knights had it hard in life. “Well that’s just down side of the job. There’s a bright side too.” He said smiling following right behind her. “They get to spent time with the princesses and go places with them.” He added laughing. “And if there lucky like me they get to be around the beautiful and great ones.” He said still laughing a little as he followed her. After Danny was standing next to her and held her hand she answered him about what to do next. Danny didn’t really want to but she was right they were going to meet up later and she said she was tired so it was alright with him.

“Sounds fine with me. I’ll walk you there.” He said laughing. “Because I don’t want to find you on 5 floors away from your common room when I’m on the way to mine.” He added laughing knowing that’s how she got lost in the first place, looking for her common room. Danny smiled down at her then started walking a little back to the exit of the garden and waited for her to follow. “You sure you want to meet up later today?” He said smiling down at her as they walked. “We could always meet up some other day if you’re too tired.” He added remembering that she said she was tired before.

Annabella smiled as Danny said, those were just the downside of the job, but there was a bright side to the job as well, she nodded as he listed off the bright sides laughing afterwards. He then added that if they were lucky like him they get to spend time, with beautiful and great princesses. She smiled and laughed a little, and said “Well thank you for that wonderful, comment. And I’m sure any princess would love to have you, as their knight. They would get to have, the bravest, strongest, loyalist and cutest knight.” She smiled up at him as he walked and caught up with her.

Even though Danny had said, that it sounded fine to him when she had mentioned, that she should go back to her common room, she could tell that he didn’t want that to happen. She smiled at him and then laughed, as he added that he would walk her there, because he didn’t want to find her five floors, from where she was suppose to be, when he was on his way to his. She blushed a bit and then smiled saying “Very funny, I’m sure that wouldn’t have happened, but yeah I would like it if, you walked me back. She watched as he began to walk, towards the exit and turned around waiting for her to follow him. She smiled once again and started to follow after him.

When she had reached where he was standing, she heard him ask her a question. She smiled slightly and said “Yeah I’m sure, besides I’m not that tired. A little relaxing and a quick nap should be good. Unless you don’t want to? In that case, we can always makes plans for another day?” she really hoped that he still wanted to, meet up later and show her this place, but she would understand if he wasn’t up to it.

Danny blushed a little as she complimented him as being the bravest, strongest, loyalist and cutest knight. “Well that you princess but I'm sure I'm not all of those.” He said smiling down at her when he reached where she was waiting. Later on Danny smiled as he waited for her to follow him back to her common room. “Good because I probably would have walked you there even if you didn’t want me to walk you.” He said smiling down at her as they both walked to the exit of the garden. As they walked Danny listened to her tell him that she did want to meet up later but if he was tired it was alright if they met up some other day.

“Yea but then there would be a small problem.” He said laughing then looked down at her. “I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep I’d be looking forward to it to much.” He said laughing again and looked forward to see that they were at the exit of the garden already walking back into the castle. Danny thought it was odd that it seemed longer walking into the garden then walking about it but he just shrugged it off and kept looking forward.

They kept walking and pretty soon they were in front of the stairs that lead down to the Hufflepuff common room and Danny stopped. “Well I’ll drop you off here. I’m 99 percent sure that you can’t get lost from here.” He said laughing down at her. “Well if you still want to meet up later I’ll meet you here at twelve if that’s alright with you.” He said smiling down at her waiting for her reply.

Annabella smiled as Danny blushed a little, after she had made the compliment about him being the, bravest, strongest, loyalist and cutest knight. She then smiled again as he said, that he didn’t think he was, all those. “Hmm okay let’s see, you wouldn’t let an army of Slytherins get in your way, of following me. That makes you brave right there, umm that would count as strongest as well, because well you’d have to be strong to plow through Slytherins.” She paused and laughed at that before, continuing. “You stayed with me, and didn’t leave the entire time we were lost, you even carried me around for a while, even sat at my table while we ate. That would be loyalty and well you’re cute, so that would obviously fall under the cute part.” She smiled and looked up at him and then forward again, before she added one last thing. “Hmm So I guess your right then, you are not any of those.” she said smiling.

As she caught up to him, and they began to stroll towards the exit, they were talking about weather they were going to meet up, or not. Annabella smiled and looked up at him, as he began to reply to her reply, of his question earlier. She nodded and said “Me too, I’m already looking forward to it, as it is. So I think putting it off for another day, is only going to make us insane.” She laughed and then smiled, looking forward she saw that they had, reach they exit. They began to make their way towards the castle, and pretty soon they were standing in front of the staircase, that lead down to her common room. She smiled and looked up at him.

She listened as he said that he would, drop her off here and that he was 99 percent sure that she wouldn’t get lost from here. “Hmm I don’t know…there is that 1% though.” She then laughed and began to walk down the steps, as she heard him say that, if she still wanted to meet up to meet him at that spot around twelve. She smiled and nodded and said “That’s fine…I’ll be here.” She then gave a small wave, and reached the bottom, she then stopped and said “Oh yeah.” She then turned around and jogged back up the stairs. “I almost forgot.” She said as smiled and leaned up on her tippy toes, and softly kissed his cheek. “I had a great time today Danny, and can’t wait for tonight. That was your reward; sorry it was so…boring it was the only thing I could think off.” She then smiled and jogged back down the stairs.

Stopping in front of the portrait she gave another wave, and went in.

Danny blushed a little every now and then as she told him why he was the bravest, strongest, loyalist and cutest knight. Danny just smiled still blushing a little and looked down at her. “Well I’ll just take your word on all of that princess.” He said laughing a little as he looked down at her. Danny laughed as they walked out of the garden and into the castle with her agreeing to him about what would happen if they waited for another day and she said it would make them both insane and Danny just laughed again.

“Sorry my dear but I think I already beat you there.” He said smiling down at her. Danny laughed again as they were in front of her common room steps and he said she would probably not get lost from here and she said there was that 1 percent which he laughed again. “Well if you get lost again from here then next time I bring you back here I’ll just have to tuck you into you bed to make sure you can’t get lost.” He said smiling down at her. Then she said she would meet him here and it was fine with her then she gave a small wave which he waved back then she walked down the stairs to her common room.

Danny was about to head back up to his common room when she started going back up the stairs. “What did you get lost already?” He asked her as she then kissed him on his cheek which made him blush a lot this time. Then said she had a great time today that was his reward. “Trust me that wasn’t boring at all.” He said laughing as he watched her go back down her steps then waved again at her and finally when he was sure she wasn’t going to come back out he started walking up the stairs to his common room with a big smile.
