The joys of almost being insane (Annabella)

Danny laughed as she stuck out her tongue then smiled. “I thought we agreed that wasn’t very princess like.” He said laughing. “You might have to go back to manners school or where ever princesses go to learn manners and how to be a princess.” He added still laughing then looking forward to make sure he wasn’t going to trip or hit anyone or thing. He looked back down at her smiling as she started talking again. “Ok well if the rewards on the line then I won’t drop you or anything.” he said smiling down at her now remembering about the reward and he still wondered what it would be but a little less then he had before when he wondered about it he was paying more attention to not being clumsy.

As she started to whisper about her dream he started to blush again and then headed down the charms stairs and these ones didn’t move on them so he made his way down. As she kept explaining about her dream Danny blushed even more then laughed a little when she was done. “Well… That sounds like a wonderful dream.” He said smiling down at her still blushing a little. “Are you psychic or something?” He said smiling down at her then looking up. “Just so I can know in advance.” Still looking up making sure where he was going then smiling down at her. Now they were finally on the second floor. "Well we've made it to the second floor lets see how long it takes to get to the bottom now." He said smilling down at her.

Annabella laughed as Danny commented that, he thinks she needs to go back to, manner school or wherever it is princesses go to learn, manner or how to be a princess. She smiled and said “I know I know, I just couldn’t resist I wont do it again, I promise.” She smiled up at him. She laughed again when he said, that if the reward was on the line he wouldn’t drop her. She resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at him. She began to think as she watched him looking around, as to what she could give him for a reward. She had mentioned it so many times, and had made it out to be something good, so she would have to make sure it was. The only thing now was what?

Danny had blushed several times as she relayed her dream to him. Well her fake dream but she didn’t need to tell him that. He said that it sounded like a wonderful dream, still blushing. She smiled back and got a look of surprise on her face, when he asked her if she was psychic. She shook her head and said “No why do you ask?” a little confused as to why he would ask that. She smiled up at him when he said, that they had made it to the second floor, and to see how long it takes them, to reach the bottom. She nodded and looked forward as he went down. She silently hoped that they wouldn’t run into anybody, as she didn’t know what they would think, if they saw Danny carrying her. She laughed a bit to herself and turned to him and said, “So. Danny tell me, what was your reaction when you got, your letter to come here?”

“Ok well then I won’t tell anyone that you did that.” He said smiling down at her then he stuck out his tongue at her. “But I can do it all I want.” He added laughing as he kept walking getting very close to the bottom floor maybe just a few more minutes and they would be there unless something else moved on them again. Now his mind was on that reward again he hated not knowing what something was but he didn’t want to ruin in any surprised she wanted for when he got it so he kept his mouth shut about asking her what it was.

Danny smiled when she asked him why she asked if she was psychic. “I just wanted to know if I could look forward to that sometime in my life.” He said laughing down at he then looked forward to make sure everything was alright. Danny finally started down the last group of stairs and they would be at the bottom soon finally but he had to admit this had been one of the greatest detours he had ever taken and it was all because he was with Annabella. Danny was a little confused at what she asked till he realized she was talking about the letter for Hogwarts, He felt like an idiot for a second after that. “Well my mom already knew I was going to Hogwarts for a long time.” He said smiling down at her. “I found her wand when I was 3 and started waving it and running around with it. I somehow shrunk the chair we had.” He said laughing and looked down at her wishing he could remember that but he only remembered what his mom told him about it.

“I didn’t even know babies could use magic but I looked it up and in some cases babies can do it but only simple spells.” He said as he could now see the bottom of the flight of stairs and in a few steps they would finally be at the ground floor. "how was it when you got your letter?" He asked as he was almost to the bottom “Well my dear this is where you get off.” He said smiling down at her when he got off the stairs Danny then softly put her down on her feet.

She smiled when Danny said that he wouldn’t tell anyone, that she had stuck her tongue out, and then proceeded to stick his out saying that, he could do it all he wanted. She laughed along with him and then said “Yeah yeah rub it in why don’t you.” She then glanced in front of them, and saw that they were almost to the bottom floor. She had some thinking to do, For one thing, what they were going to do after they reached the bottom floor and two his reward. She was still stuck on that. She was pretty sure that she could come up with something, quick though before they reached their destination.

When she asked Danny why he asked if she was psychic, the answer he gave her she was not expecting, and she didn’t know what to think of it. Does that mean he actually wants that dream to happen? She thought to herself as she blushed a bit, and looked forward as he did. She bit her lip and then finally spoke and said “Really? Well I’m sorry I can’t help you out there, I guess you will just have to wait and see. Trust Mother Nature….or is it fate? Or destiny?” she frowned and then scratched her head and laughed a bit. For sure she must have sounded stupid there, she didn’t even know what she just said, she laid her head down again and listened, as he spoke about getting his letter, and incidents he had had, when he was a baby.

He then asked her the same thing, she smiled and said “Well I was utterly shocked, because believe it or not, I never found out about magic or my heritage, until the day I received my letter, I never had any unexplained incidents either. My dad told me that him and my mom were not sure, if I would inherit from him or not, and they decided that, instead of telling me and then having me get disappointed if nothing happened, that they would just wait and see.” She looked up at him and smiled. After she had finished telling him, she looked around to discover that they had reached the bottom floor, he then said that this is where she got off now, and he put her down softly. She kept her arms around his neck for a few moments, before finally letting go. “Well thank you my brave knight, now what adventure shall we go on now? How about we grab a bit to eat, I’m kind of hungry?” she smiled up at him

“I’ll make sure to do that.” he said laughing when she commented about him stick out his tongue then he stuck out his tongue again at her. “You wouldn’t believe how much fun this is. O sorry princesses can’t do this.” He said sticking his tongue out one last time. “Ok I’ll stop but it is fun you don’t know what your missing.” He added laughing and looking down at her. Danny smiled down at her as she watched her blush a little then told him he she couldn’t help him and he would have to trust Mother Nature, fate of destiny. He laughed looking down at her. “Well do I have to trust all three of them or just one?” He said smiling down at her meaning it as a joke.

Danny listened to how she got her letter and was a little surprised that her dad was able to keep that fact that he was a wizard hidden from her but he was just probably extremely careful about using magic not like his step dad. He used magic for pretty much anything and Danny liked to watch him do it around the house even if he didn’t really like him back then. Danny smiled down at her after he put her down when she talked about being hungry and maybe going to go get something to eat. “That sounds great. I haven’t eaten anything since… lunch.” He said laughing down meaning it to sound funny even if it sounded more stupid.

“They probably have the food already out in the Great hall so I'll sit at the Hufflepuff table with you.” He said laughing. “My next adventure is to try and blend in with all the Hufflepuff and not get caught.” He said laughing as he started walking for the great hall then turned over to look to her. “Well you coming or do I still have to carry you?” He said laughing.

She pretended to pout when Danny said, he would make sure to rub in the fact that princesses could not stick out their tongues, where as knights could. He then said that she wouldn’t believe how much fun it was, and then proceeded to stick his tongue out again. Laughing afterwards, she then pretended to cry and said “Oh you’re so mean to me…I think I’m going to get myself a new knight. One who won’t make fun of me.” She then laughed and looked up at him, reached her hand up and ruffled his hair a bit. “This shall be my new thing, where I would stick out my tongue I will just ruffle your hair.”

She laughed as he asked if he had to trust Mother Nature, Fate and Destiny all at the same time, she knew he was just making a joke about it, and she smiled and shook her head and said “Up to you which one you trust.” She smiled again and looked forward. She watched his reaction to her story about how her parents kept, her heritage a secret from her, he seemed a little surprised. She loved to compare reactions as each person she had told, reacted differently. So far his was the best reaction out of them all, no shouts of your must be nuts, or no your lying and no, hey lets gang up on the parents and disrespect them. She smiled to herself.

After she had made the suggestion, to go get something to eat Danny agreed and said that he had, not eaten anything since lunch. She laughed and said “Really? What a coincidence, neither have I. Wow we have something in common.” She laughed again and looked over to him and listened as he said that food was probably, already out in the great hall, and that he sit at the Hufflepuff table with her, she laughed at that as did he, and then he added that his next adventure would be to try and blend in with the Hufflepuffs without being caught. He then turned around and asked her if she was coming, or did he have to carry her again.

She smiled and jogged over to him. This was going to be interesting, to see how long he could last at the table, without being caught. She laughed quietly to herself as they entered.

Danny smiled down at her as he could tell she was pretending to cry about him being so mean and her getting a new knight. “Well I doubt your going to find another knight like me.” He said smiling. “I’m the only knight who can double as a chariot if the princess wants it.” He added laughing looking down at her as she ruffled his hair and said instead of sticking her tongue out she would do that from now on. “Well you know what?” He said right before he stuck his tongue out at her. “That.” He added still smiling down at her. "Well I'll just keep stinking my tongue out. You want to know why?" He said smiling down at her then whispered in her ear. "Because its so much fun." He whispered laughing as he pulled away.

Danny laughed at her comment about him not having to trust all three of them he could trust whatever one he wanted to. Then laughed again as she said she hadn’t eaten since lunch and they had something in common now. Then Danny smiled as he watched her run to him to catch up to him and before he knew it he was already at the great hall. He knew it was close but not that close. He thought laughing as he stood at the entrance but on his way here he already thought of something to say if he caught but he doubted anyone would mind to being with.

“So let’s see how long I last.” He said winking down at her and walking over to the emptiest part of the Hufflepuff table and sat down and waited for Annabella to follow or sit a crossed from him whatever she was going to do. “So far so good.” He thought to himself. No one really seemed to care that someone had even sat down at the table they were all to busy talking and eating to notice him sit down.

Annabella listened as Danny said that he doubted she could find another knight like him, that he was the only one who could double as a chariot if the princess wanted. She smiled and laughed at this. She watched his reaction as she said that inside of sticking her tongue out, she would ruffle his hair instead. He then said you know what, and stuck his tongue out at her and said that. She raised her eyebrow and then smirked and said “That’s so childish.” She then smiled up at him, as he smiled down at her. She kept her eyebrow raised as he said that he would keep sticking his tongue out, and asked her if she wanted to know why. But before she could reply, he had smiled and leaned down to her ear, and whispered because it was fun. He laughed as he pulled away. She blushed and was speechless.

When she had told him, that he could decide which of the three, to trust he never said which one? She smiled to herself and thought that he was probably going to keep it a secret. He was smiling at her as she caught up to him, before they entered the great hall. She really hoped that, he wouldn’t get caught. Or that anyone would say anything.

He had said let’s see how long he lasted before, he winked at her and walked over to an empty part of the Hufflepuff table and sat down. Well so far so good she thought as she made her way over to where he was, and sat down beside him. She then glanced around her table, and saw that everyone who was there, were either to busy eating or talking among each other. So maybe he wouldn’t get caught at all. She smiled and picked up two plates, and handed one to him. “So far so good…you should glance over to your table, and see if anyone has noticed you over here.” She whispered and then proceeded to put some food on her plate.

Danny laughed when she told him that he was so childish which Danny completely agreed with. “Well that’s just how I am.” He said smiling down at her. “I don’t have a say in growing older but I can choose if I want to grow up.” He said looking forward smiling. He remembered that from somewhere but he couldn’t remember from where and he only remembered it because he liked how it sounded and what it ment. He probably first saw it in a book or something like that or maybe he just thought it up. He had completely no idea where it came from now. Danny started laughing as he looked down at her he could tell she was blushing from went he whispered.

Danny toke the plate Annabella handed him and started putting some food on it and listened to her at the sometime. He smiled as he listened to her whisper he knew that if anyone saw him from his table they probably wouldn’t say anything. They would just think he was up to something again. Something popped into his head which he could help but whisper back to her. “I would love to but there’s one small problem.” He paused for a second. ‘I can’t take my eyes off of you.” Danny said smiling a little as he waited to see the response it would have on her. Danny didn’t know why that popped into his head but it just did and there was no way he was going to hold off saying that. “Anyway I’m sure nobody over there would say anything so lets just eat.” he said smiling as he started eating.

Annabella smiled and nodded when Danny said that being childish, was just the way he was, and he didn’t have a say in growing older, but he could choose if he wanted to grow up. Annabella tilted her head a bit and thought about what he just said. “Hm wise words Danny.” She then smiled up at him. She never knew someone so young could be so wise. She smiled to herself and wondered how he got to be so wise. She would have to remember to ask him sometime.

She began to eat a little of her food as, she waited for Danny to either look or say something about, her telling him to look over to his house table. She leaned into him as he began to whisper in her ear, his response. That he would love to, but there is one small problem. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She blushed brightly when he had said that, and looked back down to her plate. She didn’t know how to response to that. So she did the only thing that came to, her mind at that time.

She grabbed another plate, and placed it in front of her face and said “Is that better? Can you do it now?” she then put the plate down and laughed as he said that everybody, over there probably wouldn’t say anything, so they should just eat. And then proceeded to do so. She smiled and nodded and did the same thing.

Danny smiled down at her when she told him that those were wise words. “Yea sometimes those things just pop into my head.” He said laughing. “I never know where I pick those kinds of things up but when there’s a chance to say them they pop up in my head.” Danny said laughing and looking down at her. Later on as they were sitting down Danny couldn't help put laugh as he watched blush and noticed how cute it was when she blushed. Then she put her plate up to block her face and asked if it was better now and if he could look over now. “Well I could but now I’m sad.” He said smiling looking at the plate.

After he explained that he was sure no one in his table would say anything and that they should start eating she started eating along with him. Danny smiled looking over at her. “Hey Annabella you ever seen anything like that?” He said as he pointed to the corner of the roof. As she looked up Danny started to take food off her plate just to mess with her and put it on his plate. He also made sure not to get caught. Danny really was a kid at heart and hoped she wouldn’t get mad at him for probably being so annoying.

“So what do you want to do after this? You’re probably bored of me so you can go to your common room if you want I won’t mind.” He said smiling know she probably wasn’t bored but maybe she just wanted to rest or be alone or something.

Annabella nodded as Danny said that sometimes, those things just pop into his head, and when he has a chance to say them he does. After she had put the plate up to her face, she heard Danny laugh and say that he could look over now, but he was sad now. Annabella smiled behind the plate, and peeked out from behind it. She then laughed and put the plate down and continued to eat. She often glanced around at her housemates, to see if any of them had noticed, they gained a new dinner mate. But they were all still chatting amongst themselves. She smiled and continued to eat.

After a little bit Danny has asked her if she ever saw, anything like that and pointed up towards the roof. She looked up but didn’t see anything. “See what Danny? I don’t see anything.” She said as she looked back at him, and saw that he was eating. She smiled and shook her head, and returned her gaze to her own plate. But something was different; she was missing food she was sure she hadn’t eaten yet. She turned to ask Danny about it, when she glanced at his plate and noticed he had a lot more, then he did before. She narrowed her eyes and said “Danny? Did you take food off of my plate by any chance?”

After a little while he had asked her what, she wanted to do after this, he then added that she was probably bored of him and if she wanted to go, back to her common room she could and he wouldn’t get mad. She smiled and finished chewing and swallowed before, she answered. “I’m not bored of you Danny, I was thinking that maybe we could take a quick stroll, through the gardens. And them maybe after that, I’ll go back to my common room, and we can make plans for later? On where to meet up and stuff.” She said and smiled at him.

Danny smiled trying to hold back laughing when she asked him what he saw because she didn’t see anything. “It was up there it was this huge thing with big….things.” He said smiling over at her thinking about how terrible he was at making up something on the spot if he had a few extra seconds he would probably have had something better and probably a lot more believable. Danny kept eating till she looked over and him and he looked over at her and he could tell she knew what was going on. Danny laughed as she asked him if he had taken food off her plate and he just smiled.

“Me no never.” He said laughing a little. “Now where do you get an idea like that. Maybe you were just so hungry you forgot that you ate that stuff.” he added laughing then went back to smiling at her and listened to her explain what she wanted to do next and he was glad that she wasn’t to hang out more before he dropped her off at her common room. “That sounds great to me. I haven’t been then since last year.” he said smiling and looked over at her then around and still no one seemed to notice him sitting here. Danny started thinking there wasn’t even a rule to which table you had to sit at. It might was just have a tradition that people have followed for so long it might have seemed like a rule.

“Well I guess I make a pretty good Hufflepuff now don’t I?” he asked smiling looking over at her.

Annabella raised her eyebrow at his explanation, of what he had seen on the roof. She laughed a bit and then said "A huge thing with big things? Danny I'm sorry to inform you of this, but you suck at making things up on the spot...no offence." she then smiled and began to stick out her tongue, and then pulled it back in quickly and ruffled his hair. She then laughed and continued eating.

She listened as he tried to convince her that she had, just forgotten she had eaten it because she was so hungry. He would never do something like that. She laughed and then looked at him and smiled and said "Okay. whatever you say. I really wasn't going to eat, those particular pieces anyways it looked like they had, green mold on them or something." She then smirked and resumed eating. Glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, to see what he was going to do or say, after she had said that.

Danny had said strolling through the gardens afterwards, sounded great and that he hadn't been there since last year. Annabella smiled and nodded, glad that he wanted to go there. They were going to have fun. When Danny had commented that he made a pretty good Hufflepuff, because nobody had noticed him up, until this point. Annabella nodded and said "Yeah you also make a pretty cute one as well." She had said that and took a sip of her drink, like it was a normal thing for her to do or say. She smiled behind her glass.

“Yea I know that’s why I normally have my lies planned out for when I need them. They sound even worse when I try to think of something to excuse me for not doing my homework to a teacher.” He said laughing and then eating a little bit more of her food. He laughed as she said she wasn’t going to eat those pieces anyways because they looked liked that had mold on them. “They look fine to me but if I do get sick I’ll just blame it on the most beautiful girl in all the school.” He said laughing. “Then they’ll all know to come after you.” He said still laughing and looking over at her.

Danny smiled as he listened to her say that he also made a cute Hufflepuff when he said that he was making a good one by not getting caught. “Well thank you very much my princess coming from you that means a lot.” He said smiling and looked over at her sip from her drink. Danny kept on eating till he started to fill full then smiled over at her to see if she was done yet. He wouldn't have minded waiting or anything he just didn’t want her to be waiting on him to be done already. “You ready to go princess or are you still hungry?” He said he smiling.

She smiled and nodded as Danny, explained that usually he had better planned out excuses or lies for when he needed them. He then said it’s even worse when he has to do it in front of a teacher, for unfinished homework. She gave a little laugh as an image popped into her head, of Danny making that excuse he had given her giving it to McGonagall or even worse Snape. She ate a bit more of her food, and turned to him when he replied to her comment she made, about the food he had taken from her plate. She smiled and then blushed when he said, that if he got sick he would blame the most, beautiful girl in the whole school. He laughed and looked at her, as he added that they would know to come after her.

“Hm I don’t think so; they will probably think you meant someone else. I don’t even compare to most of the girls, in this school.” She then smiled and continued to eat. Annabelle smiled when Danny said that it meant a lot, coming from her when she made the comment about him being a cute Hufflepuff. “You’re very welcome, it’s very true though.” She smiled up at him and then turned back to her dinner. When Danny had asked her, a little while later if she was done or if she was still hungry, she looked at her plate and then up, to him and nodded “Yeah I’m full now, We can go now if you like?” their next stop would be the gardens, she couldn’t wait.

Danny smiled down at her as she watched her blush when he called her beautiful which made him laugh a little. Then he just smiled as she told him that she didn’t think she was and they would probably go look for someone else and not her. Danny just smiled. “Well it’s normally not the place for a knight to disagree with the princess but in this case I believe you’re completely wrong in everyway.” He said smiling down at her and started eating a little. “Well thank you again.” He said as she said it was very true about him making a cute Hufflepuff.

He smiled as she said she was full and they could go to the garden now if he liked. “Sounds fine with me.” He said still smiling over at her. “I’m just not going to carry you in front of all these people just so you know.” He said laughing a little. “My whole table things I’m crazy already I don’t need three more tables thinking I’m crazy.” He added laughing as he started to get up and stood beside her as she was sitting down. Danny lowered his hand to help her up. Which he doubted she would need any help but it was just something Danny felt like doing. “Let’s go my princess.” He said smiling down at her this hand down to her.

(Well I was thinking about you starting it after he dropped her off at her common and they meet up later on but if you want to start it now that’s fine with me.)

She smiled at his comment about, it wasn’t the place of knights to disagree with the princess, but in this case he believed she was wrong in everyway. He smiled at her and began to eat again. She kept the smile and continued to eat as well, she began to think about how they were throwing, flirts back and forth at each other, like it was something they did everyday. And to her it seemed as though they were getting more, frequent. She didn’t mind though, she thought it was nice. She smiled to her self as she heard him say, thank you again for the cute Hufflepuff comment. She smiled and nodded to him.

She smiled when he, said that going to gardens sounded fine with him. He smiled and then commented that he wasn’t going to carry her because, his table already thinks he is crazy, and he doesn’t need three other tables thinking he was crazy either. She laughed and nodded and watched as he stood up, and stood beside her, as she was still sitting down. He then lowered his hand, to help her up while saying lets go my princess. She smiled and nodded, taking his hand and standing up. “Lead the way my brave knight.” She smiled up at him.

“Well if you say so.” He said smiling down at her and then grabbed and held her hand. “Just so you don’t get lost or something because it seems pretty common for you.” He said smiling down at her. Then they started walking slow out of the great hall. Danny couldn’t believe that no one noticed him but then again he himself never pays attention to anything when his eating. Sometimes he wouldn’t even notice if someone sat next to or around him when he was eating which he knew was weird but that was just how he was. When he gets really hungry he just zones out and eats which he knew made him seem even crazier.

As they were out of the Great hall Danny smiled down at her as they kept walking to the garden. “So what classes are you taking besides all the normal ones?” He asked her smiling down at her. “I picked division just because it seemed so easy compared to others.” He added laughing know that it was true. “All I got to do is look at dried tea leaves and crystal balls. I do hope to see something cool in my future tho.” He kept laughing a little and then smiled feeling a little embarrassed. “O sorry I didn’t even give you a chance to answer. I guess I talk too much sometimes.” He said smiling down at her then looked forward knowing they would be at the garden anytime soon.

She smiled as he made his comment, and then grabbed and held on to her hand, saying that it was just in case she got lost, which seemed pretty common for her. She laughed and nodded and said “Well you got me there, better to be safe then sorry.” She smiled and then looked forward as they slowly made their way out of the great hall. Well he had successfully passed as a Hufflepuff, now all he needed was the right colors and he would be all set. Personally she thought, nobody wouldn’t have said anything, as the headmaster and mistress had always encouraged the houses to get along, and get to know each other. And telling somebody to go back to their, own table would only; void what they had been saying.

They had now exited the great hall, and made their way through the entrance hall and outside; Danny had asked her what other classes she was taking besides, all the required ones. He then proceeded to tell her what he had chosen, and why. Then laughing. He then seemed to get embarrassed a bit, and said he was sorry he didn’t give her a chance to speak, and that sometimes he talked to much. He smiled down at her and then looked forward. “That’s alright…I don’t think you talk to much, you just have a lot to say about things, and if you say them all at once, well that’s not a bad thing, anyways I am taking Mythology I have always been fascinated with Myths, and all the mythical creatures. So I thought that by taking that, I can further my knowledge.” She said and then smiled.

After she had told him, about her class she saw that they were approaching the garden, she smiled and looked at him and said “Look Danny, we’re here come on.” And she pulled on his hand a little, and started to run a bit.
