Dylan surveyed the pitch carefully. It seemed that Ephraim was stepping his game up. He successfully deflected Dylan's Bludger, but Steven had managed to dodge it. Then, he took a page out of Dylan's book, and hit a free Bludger at Stephen. Clearly, Dylan himself needed to step up and be a bit more aggressive than he had been so far.

"Dang!!!" Wynd had manged to get the quaffle before Williard did, so now Slytherin was in possession and had the chance to score. Williard turned around pulled back into the game. He needed to try and get the quaffle.

Pyro has not posted. Therefore it must be assumed that he is attempting a ‘power play’ and each of the Ravenclaw Chasers will get a chance to steal. Pyro will not get his stat points. I’ll start with Theo since he posted attempting to steal first.
Theo attempts to steal the Quaffle from Pyro. Theo = Steal (D4 + Str) = 3 + 5 = 8 Pyro = Defend (D8 + Str) = 8 + 0 = 8 Tie! Re-roll.
Theo = Steal (D4 + Str) = 2 + 5 = 7 Pyro = Defend (D8 + Str) = 4 + 0 = 4 Theo steals the Quaffle! Theo has the Quaffle.
Ruth searches for the Snitch. She must get a search roll of 5 or more in order to search successfully. Ruth = Search (D6 + Con) = 2 + 2 = 4 Ruth is not able to search successfully, but she still gets 1 roll as per additional Snitch rules.
Ruth = Search = 12 12 is not the Snitch number. Ruth does not see the Snitch.
Stephen searches for the Snitch. He must get a search roll of 5 or more in order to search successfully. Stephen = Search (D6 + Con) = 6 + 3 = 9 Stephen is able to search.
Stephen = Search = 4 Stephen = Search = 14 4 is not the Snitch number and neither is 14! Stephen does not see the Snitch.))

Theo snatched the Quaffle successfully out of Pyro's arms and swooped away from the hoops where Edward continued to look nervous and hesitant. Holding the ball close to his body so the Slytherin Chasers could not steal from him, Theo tried to race as fast as possible towards the other goals, where Drake was. He was soon accosted by the opposing team, though, and seeing August to his side, he yelled the boy's name and flung the Quaffle at him in the desperate hope August would catch it and score.

Pyro frowned as he watched the game unfold, slowly starting to deteriorate for the Slytherin side. He growled at Madame Hooch, "Oh come on! That wasn't a foul! It was a tactical physical block!" He protested as the Ravenclaw team recieved a penalty shot, which they made. A bit preocupied with Hooch's call he almost dropped the Quaffle when Wynd passed it to him. "Huh?" He said looking down at the red ball, hardly remembering that he was still in the game. That hesitation cost him as Theo swooped in and nimbly took the Quaffle from his arms. "oh no you don't!" Pyro shouted as he spun around and gave chase.

Wynd watched in horror as Pyro almost missed the pass and then practically gave the Quaffle to Theo. That seemed to snap him back to real life as he quickly gave chase to Theo. With Theo being distracted maybe he wouldn't notice if a certain Slytherin Chaser got in between him and the other Ravenclaw Chaser. Wynd positioned himself so that he was between August and Theo and waited to see if Pyro would be successful. If all went according to plan, he would be and then Pyro could attempt to score on the scared Ravenclaw Keeper. It was just sad that Ravenclaw was beating them by twenty points. Wynd vaguely wondered what Mary thought of the whole situation. If they lost their second game of the season, the team would never hear the end of it.

Celia hadn't had much of a chance to get to the bludgers recently. E had taken care of them mostly, hitting them at Stephen, which seemed to be a good plan. The bludgers hadn't been hitting Stephen, but she hoped that the Slytherin would've been distracted away from the snitch by these bludgers heading towards him. However, with the last bludger hit, Dylan had gotten in the way (once again) and deflected not to Ruth, as was his usual tactic, but to Theo. But then again he had just got the quaffle at the time. Anyway, he needed to be defended, and Celia got over there as quickly as possible, and attempted to deflect that bludger away from him, deflecting it towards...Wynd, she thought, who was trying to intercept Theo's pass to August. She also considered hitting it at Pyro, but she thought it'd be more likely for Wynd to get the quaffle, hence she hit it towards him.
But her main aim was simply to protect Theo. Pyro hadn't caught Drake's pass, though Wynd had managed to beat Williard to the loose quaffle and subsequently passed to Pyro, from whom Theo stole the quaffle, leading them to the present situation. Theo was planning to pass to August if Pyro didn't steal the quaffle back.

Finally one of his teammates had actually been successful in blocking the bludger attack. That meant that Stephen had plenty of time to look for the snitch before the next one headed his way. He flipped through the sky, his eyes scouring over every possible niche and cranny. The snitch was going to be his...he wasn't going to allow Ravenclaw to beat him...no he would not let that happen.

The mood seemed to lift - and the reason was evident. For once, for one glorifying moment, Dylan had aimed his daft Bludgers at someone other than Ruth. She smirked, her eyes flashing. "Finally!" The muttered word came out louder than she had hoped; she was more exhilarated than she cared to show. The match was a test, she supposed. A test of endurance and not just of Quidditch skills. Ravenclaw were up in the scores but certainly not by 150 points - Ruth had to get that Snitch. She scowled as she spotted Celia out of the corner of her eye, aiming for someone that was not Donahue. Was that really the best thing her captain could do right now? If Donahue was distracted, even for a moment, it could change the game. Whereas if one of the Slytherin seekers were distracted, how much difference could it really make to the overall score? At the end of the day it was that figure that mattered - not the current one. To Ruth, it was silly to shoot their only weapon at the chasers and not the Slytherin seeker. But she was in no position to argue, and especially not with the captain.

Another loop around the pitch...hopefully this one would be more successful than the last one hundred laps or whatever it was. The game was definitely in need of ending. It was dragging on and on, and really his job as a seeker wasn't too exciting...at least not yet. He just hoped that this snitch would make an appearance soon...very soon.

Bloody 'ell! Theo seemed to be on top of his game and he avoided Pyro after a short struggle and was able to pass the Quaffle into August's awaiting arms without the notice of the Slytherin Chaser. Wynd didn't know how he could have missed it but somehow or another he had. August was zooming down the pitch, taking the Quaffle once again toward Drake. Keeper was Wynd's second position but he sometimes wondered if it would bore him. Drake seemed to be getting plenty of exercise this game though. Drake had already let several shots go past him and Wynd was not going to give him the chance to let another one slide by. He had to get that ball.

Once the Quaffle was in his possession, August turned and took off like a hex. He wanted to get the Quaffle past Drake once again. If he could do that and if Ruth caught the Snitch then that would mean that Ravenclaw had a good chance at winning the Quidditch cup. They won the House Cup last year but that was only because Ravens are the only ones who actually do their classwork when told. August wasn't paying attention to any of the other players. All he saw were the three hoops waiting for him at the end of the pitch. There, Drake waited for him. August flew low and to the right because he was going to shoot for that one but at the last minute he pulled up and to the left. He went for the middle hoop hopefully this would throw off the Keeper.

Mary craned her neck as she saw one of the Ravenclaw chasers make his way towards the goals with the quaffle. She couldn't have that, could she? No, there wasn't anyway she could let the other team score again. A stray bludger came her way, and she aimed it towards August.

Once again the Ravens were nearing his end of the pitch. Drake growled in annoyance. He wished that the Slytherin Chasers would turn this game around. They looked like a crazed group of amateurs. Either way, he prepared for what seemed to be an inevitable attempted goal from the Ravenclaw Chasers.

Well, for once, Ephraim was surprised to see the Slytherins defend his attack. It was only a matter of time though before he would stop having such good luck. Mary was quite capable, and perhaps now he'd have a harder time that she figured out how to defend his attacks. Perhaps it meant changing his approach. For now though he just needed to defend August. Ephraim flew forward to do so.

Yay, Theo managed to dodge Dylan's bludger, and held the quaffle! Then after a struggle with Pyro, he was still holding it. But not for very long, as he passed to August, who was now preparing to shoot. Mary was trying to hit one of the stray bludgers towards the younger Ravenclaw, and E raced over there to defend him - they couldn't miss this oppurtunity. The other bludger was also free, and it looked like Wynd was going to try and steal the quaffle from August, which couldn't be allowed to happen, so Celia quickly flew over to the other bludger, and hit it with all her strength towards that Slytherin boy. She hoped August would survive these attacks and hopefully shoot and score, once again!

Theo was pleased with himself as he managed to dodge that bludger while holding the quaffle. Celia hadn't managed to deflect it, but nevermind. he threw the quaffle over to August, managing to keep it away from Pyro and pass it over Wynd's head, so the younger boy managed to catch it. He was now heading towards the goal hoops, preparing to shoot, and Theo cheered him on as he released the quaffle, hoping Drake wouldn't catch it, keeping his eye out for any bludgers that may be around, but they seemed to be elsewhere anyway.

Before he was able to catch up to the Ravenclaw Chaser, a Bludger hit but their very own Mary made contact with August causing him to drop the Quaffle. Now was his chance. With the Quaffle free and Wynd being in the best position to do so, the Quaffle would surely be his. Most likely August would chase after the loose ball but by the time he realised what was going on it would be too late. Wynd was going full speed toward the ball whereas August was in midair a little dazed by the Bludger. Wynd could imagine what Bludger sent by Mary must feel like. She was the best Beater at the school and she knew how to make it hurt.
