Harmony grabbed the Quaffle out of the sky, just before Payton's hands clung to them, and quickly veered off in another direction to escape more prying hands. "Gotcha," Harmony murmured under her breath as though the red ball could listen and hear her talking, and would reply. Her eyes darted around as she flew away from the Slytherin Chasers, desperately outrunning them. Harmony searched for Ivy and Kael, who had been subbed in, and saw neither of them. So Harmony continued to fly onwards, her arm grasping the Quaffle tightly. She was aware of Bludgers and other Chasers about to try to steal from her. Finally, she saw Ivy emerge on her left, and immediately called out to her in a loud voice, "Ivy! Heads up!" Harmony threw the Quaffle with as much strength as she could muster, but not before she saw Slytherins appear out of nowhere to try to take it off her first.

Another turn over...dang the Hufflepuffs were playing good today and they...they were playing like idiots. He growled a little to himself at the misfortune as he took off after Chan before Laslie flanked her other side and tried to steal the quaffle. His focus was on Tunstall who seemed to be the one waiting for the pass. He bolted off in that direction attempting to intercept the pass.

No Bludgers had been hit at her so far in the game, Ivy thought as she heeded Harmony's prudent warning and swerved away from the one that had been tracking her down. She supposed that maybe one of the Slytherins hadn't liked her team leadership. It would have been a perfectly fair tactical move anyway - it was demoralising for a team's Beaters to let their Captain down, even though Ivy wasn't by any means the most important member of the team. That was indisputably the Seeker - Charlie. But, whether it was tactical or not, Ivy was glad that she'd avoided the Bludger because she was still quite sore enough from the foul. Ivy would have thanked Harmony for her warning, but she was busy trying to steal the Quaffle from Mary. At one point she thought it was coming loose, but not loose enough. The only use that Ivy might have contributed was in forcing Mary to pass a little earlier than she might have done - at any rate, there was weakness enough to allow Harmony to intercept the pass, the younger Hufflepuff demonstrating her quick reflexes as usual.
Ivy's lips performed a half-smile at the younger girl's success, and a half-grimace of concentration. Harmony could manoeuvre herself well enough towards the Slytherin goals, but she couldn't get the Quaffle the whole way there all by herself. Ivy could see a Slytherin Chaser about to block her way ahead, so she dived downwards and sped unimpeded a little more than halfway down the pitch. Eventually she rejoined the gameplay and almost immediately, Harmony advertised that the Quaffle was going Ivy's way. Ivy would have to research what more subtle methods of communication professional players used, she reflected as she smiled at the fourth year and moved to receive the red ball, hoping that she would feel its rough leather in her hands without a Slytherin intercepting the pass first.

((Making some line-up changes…
Putting in Pyro as chaser in Payton’s spot. Putting in Payton in as seeker for Drake. Putting in Drake as keeper for Asteria. And switching Mary in as beater for Wynd and Wynd as chaser for Mary))
Typical Hufflepuffs spoiling Mary’s plan and taking out Bryce. Of course it brought to attention that maybe it was time to move more people around. And take back her bat. Chaser was decent and Wynd was doing well as beater but… that was where Mary belonged and Mary knew not everyone was playing where they ought to be, where they were best.
Catching up with Wynd Mary took the bat from him. “You go get the quaffle, I’ll take this back. But next time tell me if you need it rather than the Hufflepuffs.” She told him. Well that was one thing dealt with. Looking around Mary noticed a bludger right near that seemed to be headed toward Drake. Mary swung at it as she passed by on over to Hooch to let her know of all the changes.

The whistle blew and Drake looked up to see Madam Hooch and Evans looking his way. He was confused for a split second, before he realised his Captain was making some changes on the team. Nodding, Drake flew towards her to receive his instructions. Evans directed him to the goals to be Keeper instead of Asteria, so Drake flew over casually, taking his time as the other players sorted out their positions. A lot of switching around was done, but Hufflepuff had been doing just the same amount. Drake was pleased about being changed to Keeper, though he wasn't overjoyed. He was glad to get away from the monotony of the Seeker role, but Keeper wasn't much more interesting. There was even less to do. At least he didn't have to be on edge all the time and could watch the game without distracting himself. The game came back into play and Drake tensed himself as Harmony passed the Quaffle to Ivy, who came tearing up towards him. Assuming she would attempt to shoot if no one stopped her in time, Drake felt his reflexes tingle in preparation. Hehad barely been Keeper for more than a minute, and already he was receiving a threat in the form of the Hufflepuff Captain. Just great. At least this meant he could get some action. He didn't envy the Laslie kid, stuck up there with no Snitch in sight. ((Defending goals and avoiding Randy's Bludger (someone protect me! I am very important! ).))

Harmony's pass was competent and Caleb Donnelly's attempt to intercept second rate (in her opinion), so Ivy caught the Quaffle comfortably. She savoured having it in her hands again and looked around her warily for any Slytherin Chasers who might be wanting it off her as she found a gap through which to speed towards the goals. The Slytherin Seeker was waiting for her there! She presumed that he wasn't the Seeker anymore though, considering that he was quite clearly defending the hoops and the mysteriously good girl had disappeared. Ivy couldn't remember having seen him play as Keeper before either, but she did know his name, since he was extremely notorious. She expected that he was the kind of person she wouldn't get on with - though that probably went for most Slytherins.
Another player she wasn't at all fond of was Pyro Blackfire, who'd just been substituted in as a Chaser. While she was a little acquainted with his cousin, Cassandra Blackfire, she didn't much like the Gryffindor and she liked the Slytherin even less from her experience of him in his time on the Quidditch pitch and as the Captain of an opposing team. Ivy preferred Mary as a Quidditch Captain - she seemed quite serious about her game and as such played more or less within the rules. Mary had never given Ivy any personal reason to dislike her either, apart from perhaps a slight unease stemming from (although Ivy would never have admitted it, and quite frankly wouldn't have been able to pinpoint what made her uncomfortable anyway) the way that she and Charlie sometimes glanced at one another. Ivy wasn't enormously prone to jealousy but... in this case, she was probably jumping at shadows. It was just as well that she didn't realise why she felt a little unease - otherwise she'd probably be causing herself a lot of moral disquiet.
Anyway - the reader will no doubt be more interested in what Ivy did actually realise she was thinking. Her thoughts were concentrated on how she was going to keep hold of the Quaffle and approach the goals to score. In the end, she decided to go for speed again. It had worked last time, and this was a new Keeper so he wouldn't be aware of quite how fast she could throw the red ball if she tried hard. He might not be prepared for it, as Asteria would be had Ivy tried the same trick again. This time she'd aim for the right hoop, and try to put a bit of spin on it too. 'Please, please, go in please,' Ivy thought, willing the Quaffle past Drake.

Hmmm, that irksome young Slytherin was now Seeker. Losing to Drake was one thing but losing to this bloke was another thing entirely - Charles couldn't stand the thought of that. He was flying at a steady pace, his eyes covering every inch of the pitch he could, searching zealously for the Snitch. He was ready to put on that extra bit of speed the minute he saw it - if only he did!

He had almost got it. He had felt the wind rush by his outstretched hands, but once again he'd failed to intercept the quaffle which now lay in Tunstall's grasp and she was streaking off toward the goal. So not good. He took off after her, streaking across the sky as his hand went out in an attempt to knock the quaffle from her hands and regain possession.

“Yes.” Randy said silently. She had managed to keep the bludger away from Charlie for the moment. But that could only last for so long. He was a major target as usually, the seekers determined the fate of the game. It was only a matter of time before a Slytherin beater felt the need to send another bludger at him. Randy kept flying and didn’t look back when she heard her bludger hit Drake. She kept on flying toward the other bludger. She wouldn’t have known that Hufflepuff scored had it not been for the crowd erupting. Yes! Randy wanted to cheer but she didn’t have the time. She had to keep going. She eyed the Slytherin Chaser as to determine which one to hit the bludger at. She nodded as she spotted an open one and then made her move.

Pyro watched the game in anticipation. He was a bit disapointed that he still had not regained his starting position. So now he was stuck on the bench forced to watch as the team fell apart and the Hufflepuffs were starting to pull ahead. Pyro groaned and was forced to control himself before he snapped his broom in half as Hufflepuff scored another goal bringing the score up to 20 to 0.
Finally, Mary motioned at Pyro and enter the game. Grinning Pyro twirled his broom and leapt ontop of it and soared off into the air. Immediatly Pyro entered his game mode as his eyes quickly scanned the field. The Keeper had the quaffle, so Pyro drifted over toward the Slytherin side to lend any support and also kept an eye out for the dangerous Hufflepuff Beaters.

It was almost as if time was standing still for the Slytherins and only the Hufflepuffs could move the way they were flying circles around the other team. Ivy had just made another goal. Chace thought that Mary probably was regretting switching Asteria out now. Chace had never seen Drake play as the Seeker much less the Keeper and thought it humorous that he was not doing either very well. Drake had the Quaffle now and was deciding what to do with it. Chace wanted to wait and see what his decision was going to be but a Bludger passed close by him and he had to use the opportunity. Drake had three capable Chasers to pass the ball to so Chace only had a one in three chance of picking the correct one. A shadow fell on Chace's face and he looked up and saw a boy on a broom. Decision made.

Ivy was on a roll, and Charles felt extremely proud of her, knowing that she had earned it after all the long hours of practice she put in, not to mention her duties to the team like planning tactics and keeping spirits up. At times like this it seemed she had an unbreakable spirit. Hufflepuff had long yearned for success and the little taste of it only made him more determined to find the Snitch. He was lucky to have avoided the Bludgers so far but he wished his search would prove more fruitful. Where was that Snitch?

With Ivy Tunstall levelling up to his protected goals for the nth time in the game, Drake narrowed his eyes, tensed his muscles, and waited to save the shot. He watched as the sixth year girl approached him at a rapid speed, before launching the Quaffle. His reflexes immediately caused his body to be thrown to the left, where the red ball was hurtling towards one of the goals. However, in a few seconds, much happened; out of nowhere, Evans appeared by his side a few metres away with her bat, having switched back to the Beater position, which Drake knew she was best at. Drake noticed a smudge of black heading their way and realised one of the Hufflepuff Beaters had sought him out again. He growled low in his throat, expecting that Mary would save his backside, only she didn't, and moments later, Drake found his reflexes trying to deftly avoid the strong Bludger. However, Drake didn't manage to make it, the black ball smashing into his broomstick and causing him to hurdle away from his original position. Damnit! Drake cursed loudly in his head, his scowl angry and frustrated. He watched as the Quaffle continued to sail forwards towards the goal, and hurried to rush back to it and try to grasp it. The ball slipped through his fingers as he leaned forward in desperation, and Drake looked on as the Quaffle fell through the goal to signal another set of ten points for Hufflepuff. Damnit," Drake thought bitterly in his head, casting Tunstall an irritated, displeased look, before wasting no time in delving for the falling Quaffle.
Snatching the red ball back into his arms, Drake resurfaced in front of his goals, his eyes flashing in annoyed intent to prevent anymore Hufflepuff goals. No more were going past him, he decided. Gripping the Quaffle harder in restrained anger, Drake's eyes sought out the best Chaser to pass to. Seeing Wynd not so far away, Drake immediately shouted to him, the first word he had spoken aloud throughout the game. "Lehane!" With that single word, Drake threw the Quaffle to the fifth year, expecting the kid to catch it, otherwise he would be very displeased indeed.

Harmony cheered triumphantly when Ivy scored for the second time. She had done a brilliantly powerful shot, though the result was also attributed to Randy's Bludger on Drake, which Mary had failed to deflect. Delighted at their fast extending lead, Harmony watched as Drake composed himself and dropped down to retrieve the Quaffle. Once he was back in his original position, Harmont readied herself for an intercept. She had not contributed enough, she felt, so far as Chaser, and she wished to be more involved. Furrowing her brow in thought and contemplation, Harmony watched with keen eyes as Drake's own gaze settled from one Slytherin Chaser to another, as well as falling on herself and her fellow Chasers to ensure the highest possibility of a successful pass. Drake was quick in selecting though, and he had thrown the Quaffle at Wynd before Harmony could react properly. Immediately, her reflexes caused her hands to grip her broom tighter and make her surge forwards towards the space in between Drake and Wynd; she had to intercept the pass!

Agh, she just about missed intercepting Drake's pass to Wynd! Harmony's fingers had missed it by a breath, having grazed her fingertips before landing safely in Wynd's arms. Harmony swivelled around to see the Slytherin's triumphant expression, mocking and arrogant, before he moved to pass to either Caleb or Pyro. "Oh no you don't," Harmony though in annoyance. She couldn't believe this boy had had the nerve to insult Bryce so openly on the Quidditch pitch. He was such a sore loser. Harmony didn't appreciate sore losers. Losing was not a nice feeling, no, but if you held your head high with dignity and grace, then no one was the real loser at the end of the day. Only, with Slytherin, if they lost, they would most certainly not 'hold their head up high'. They would jeer and protest that they should have won. Hufflepuff would be delighted, but modest winners, as well as graceful losers, but if Slytherin won, they would never let Hufflepuff live it down. Determined to ensure victory, and to halt Slytherin's progress towards the goal in order to level the scores so far, Harmony shot after Wynd, attempting to intercept his pass to either one of his teammates.
