Payton had an intercepter but he caught it, this was his chance, he thought he might as well try to shoot, so he flew all the way down feild doging the chasers coming towards him and waited for a while to trick the keeper, he was floating by the right goal, but chucked the quaffle at the far left goal, it was an onld trick, but who says an old trick isn't tricky enough to pass a Hufflepuff, this was going to be easy.

Dylan circled the pitch, and spotting Mary, he saw her hitting a Bludger at Bryce, and Dylan knew what she was thinking. Bryce had definitely brought his A game today, and he needed to be taken out. Looking over he saw Randy Kerr, Hufflepuff chaser flying up to Asteria Greengrass, Slytherin's new keeper. ''Come on, block the damn thing,'' Dylan said to himself. And sure enough, Asteria caught Randy's shot. ''Yes,'' Dylan said tightening his arm. She hesitated, but then passed the Quaffle to Payton Leslie, who shot to the other end of the pitch to try and make a goal. ''Oh Merlin,'' Dylan said flying around looking for a Bludger. Bryce would surely wipe him out in a heartbeat. Spotting a Bludger, Dylan swung with all his might, and sent it flying towards Bryce.

Well for 3 seconds at least the beater was busy, he missed swinging at Mary’s bludger though he did manage to get out of the way in time. Mary was about to go again when she saw Dylan doing the same thing, sending a bludger right at Bryce. Taking a moment to watch the chasers Mary noticed Payton going in for a shot on goal. The kid sure had enthusiasm and that would certainly help him, but everyone could use a little more help… Mary chased after the bludger that had nearly caught Bryce and sent it flying toward the Hufflepuff keeper.

The game seemed to be running smoothly. No one had scored yet and the seekers were still searching for the snitch. Keeping an eye on Harmony, Ashley watched as bludgers went from right to left. Bryce was doing most of the hitting, but he was most certainly in the zone tonight. He already hit that Lehane boy. Though the youngest Slytherin dodged again. It was then when Ivy changed the starting line up, subbing herself out. "Come on, guys!" she shouted toward her team mates as she watched the chasers try to get the quaffle. One of the Slytherin beaters was sending a bludger in Bryce's way. They were surely trying to take him out. "Watch out, Bryce!" Prepping her bat Ashley took notice to Mary hitting a bludger toward Sophia. Racing toward the younger girl, Ashley jeered to the side shouting loudly, "Sophia!" as she swung her bat at the oncoming bludger keeping an eye out in the direction she wanted to send it in.

Darn it! Asteria blocked Randy’s shot on the goal. Randy shook her head. She tried her best but obviously that just wasn’t good enough. Jeez. She really wanted for Hufflepuff to score right at the beginning, but Randy wasn’t about to give up. It could still happen. She kept thinking about what Ivy had said. 4 goals. She kept telling herself that over and over again. Ivy substituted herself out and Sophia to Keeper. Now the two chasers with Randy were Chace and Seth. Randy had confidence in the new players. They were best-friends so she knew they worked well together, but Randy knew it would be easy to play with them. Randy eyed a Slytherin chaser. She was hoping to steal the quaffle from him before he got to Sophia. Then, it was all up to her. But Randy could stop him before he got close enough and she would try her best to do just that. Randy sped up on her broom and headed over to Payton.

Drake was thoroughly irritated; he couldn't believe he had been sucked in Harmony's feint so easily. He had to be more careful. Running a hand through his messed up hair, he decided to put some space between him and the small girl; she was ruining his concentration too much. Soaring upwards and away, Drake began to scan the skies again for any sign of the golden Snitch. Where are you, where are you? he chanted in his mind, tethering on desperation to find it and end the game. He wanted to return to his room and mourn his thoughts, because try as he might, whatever he did, whether it was Quidditch, or homework, or being with Brianna, he still couldn't forget his largest dilemma in the form of India. Whatever he did, he couldn't forget her. Oh damn, Drake cursed suddenly as he noticed Ashley Hill heading towards a Bludger that Mary had hit at Sophia Hallington, and her gaze was looking up to be wanting to deflect it to him. If she succeeded, it would be the first Bludger attack aimed at him of the game. Preparing to avoid it, Drake kept his other eye on continually searching his surroundings.

Yes! Randy caught the quaffle from Sophia's pass and then flew over to the goal hoops and attempted to shoot. Unfortunately for the Hufflepuffs Asteria managed to save the goal and so the score remained at 0-0. She noticed Ivy fly down to Hooch, wondering what was happening-she guessed that some substitutions were being made, and soon enough she was informed that she would be playing as Keeper for the next part of the game at least. She flew over to the goal hoops just as Kael flew down to the bench as he was subbed out of the game. Ivy had also subbed herself out, being replaced by Seth, and Chase and Seth were now going to be the other chasers.

She could vagely see to the other end of the pitch, where she unfortunately noticed the quaffle being passed to one of the Slytherin chasers, despite Chase trying to intercept the pass. She could tell who the chaser was from that distance, but as they flew closer she noticed that it was none other than Payton. He was new to the team she believed, but he wasvery much a Slytherin-he had qualities she didn't much like, but then so did the majority of the Slytherins in school. He was obviously going to try to shoot, and did the old trick of staying by the right hoop then throwing towards the left. Being the oldest trick in the book she could see it coming and hoped to save it. He had a very confident look on his face and obviously underestimated her, but she could show him that she was a much better keeper than he expected.

However, before he got the chance to shoot she saw Randy try to steal the quaffle from Payton-it was good to see her, as a new member, getting very involved in the game. She hoped that she'd be able to steal, but even if she didn't Sophia was confident that she'd be able to pass back to Randy anyway, who could then try and shoot, or maybe pass to one of the others (she just hoped Chase and Seth wouldn't then try and keep the quaffle between them...), who could then try and shoot. But before she could prepare to save the goal, she saw Mary try and hit another bludger towards her, but then Ashley would hopefully be able to deflect it away.

Seth was nervous as hell. Trying to maintain his breathing as he stepped onto the grassy pitch and began to mount his broomstick, he felt his heart rate increase by at least two times. Blood rushing to his head and adrenaline coursing through his body, he turned to look to Chace for some comfort. He found it in the form of a nod and a smile, which helped to calm Seth somewhat. He was desperate - desperate - to prove to not only his team and friends, but also everyone else in the school, that he not a worthless brat; Seth Wright was much more than that. Gritting his teeth together in firm determination, Seth shot up into the air to join his other teammates. As Ivy paralleled him, coming off the game, he gave a swift smile, which she returned. Seth knew, besides Chace, letting Ivy down would be the hugest blow to his confidence and honour. Taking his position as Chaser besides Chace (hah, Seth thought of the play on words), Seth watched as Payton received the Quaffle with dexterity a kid his age certainly wasn't meant to have, before deciding he should make his move. Taking a big breath to keep his flying steady, Seth flew at Payton, hoping to delay him at least a little even if he couldn't steal the Quaffle. To be honest, the guy was a third year kid - Seth knew he shouldn't lose to him. However, he was weakest at stealing, and he knew it. But, like Chace said, he couldn't just give up.

Bryce was all too aware that, over to his left, Dylan was about to hit a Bludger at it. It seemed Mary and him deemed him too dangerous, so they had to keep him busy. Feeling irritated but also flattered, Bryce grit his concentration between his teeth and weighed up the situation. He could also see, out of the corner of his other eye, that Payton, seemingly unstoppable, was reaching the goals where Sophia was waiting. Bryce had to stop her. He barely noticed the other substitutions in his team going on around him as he made up his choice; he was definitely too far away, nor was there a Bludger available, for him to attack Payton so late now. Sophia would just have to handle the kid alone. Feeling a bit sorry for her, Bryce turned round with a determined expression, and tried to hit Dylan's Bludger away from him. Payton was too far away, but he could see Wynd just below him; he'd have to do as the deflection, Bryce thought with little sympathy.

It didn't work! None of it worked. Bryce defended himself, the Hufflepuff keeper was defended, and she made the save. Mary watched the two bludgers fly in different directions, one towar her chasers and the other toward Drake. Well, hopefully Dylan would protect the chasers because the whole team would be lost if their seeker was hit hard enough or often enough to be taken out of commission. Mary chaser after the bludger and heard the screams of the Hufflpuff fans reacting to the save. The groan Mary knew the Slytherins were making was completly drowned out by the other three quarters of the school. It didn't matter though, it would be all the more fun to see three quarters of the school miserable to see Slytherin take the cup that year...

Left. Right. Left. Right again. Drake's neck muscles were beginning to ache. Growling in frustration under his breath, he flew in another circle around the pitch, surveying the 'wreckage' below. The Chasers were going all out... Payton was trying to score, but Sophia had saved it. Shaking his head, Drake also kept an eye out for Bludgers heading his way. That Bryce was being severely dangerous this game, he thought; better look out for him. It was then he noticed Ashley flying up to Sophia and blasting a Bludger away from the Keeper and lo and behold... up to him. Cursing, Drake tried to swerve as the nasty black ball came his way.

Everything seemed to be going in Hufflepuff favor so far. Ashley had defended Sophia from the possible bludger. Her brown eyes followed the iron ball to the Slytherin chaser with a small grin on her face. There were two bludgers heading toward the opposing team, which meant the Slytherin beaters would be stalled for a while. Hearing a roar coming from Hufflepuff, Ashley turned her head noticing Sophia had caught the quaffle. Cheering along, Ashley then flew over toward Madam glancing down at the reserve bench. "I would like to make some substitutions, Madam Hooch!" she began keeping an eye out on the field as she waited for her team mates to quickly come off and on the field. "Charles will be replacing Harmony as seeker and she will be taking Randy's spot. Also, Weetzie will be taking Seth's spot"

[Sophia Hallington H7]

Sophia noticed Payton frown as she caught the quaffle from his attemt at goal. She knew the game too well to be fooled by these tricks and hence was glad to have saved that goal. She now had the quaffle, but saw again that some substitutions were being made, so the chasers were now Harmony, Chase and Weetzie, so she had to decide who to pass to. Harmony had proved herself to be an excellent chaser in the previous game, and so she decided to pass to her-hopefully she could then fly to the other and and score a goal for Hufflepuff-in that respect at least she'd been instrumental in the last game. She threw the quaffle in her direction, hoping that the younger girl would catch it and that it wouldn't fall into Slytherin's hands.

The seekers looked busy from where she was hovering, though they looked like blurs of Green and Yellow from this height. The beaters were also busy-Bryce was deflecting the bludger from himself towards Wynd, Ashley was deflecting the bludger that was had been heading towards Sophia away from her towards Drake, and Mary looked as if she was trying to defend him, deflecting the bludger elsewhere. Her attention turned back to the quaffle, which was still flying towards Harmony, and once again she hoped that none of the Slytherin chasers would intercept, so Harony could then catch it.

Bryce's bat made contact with Dylan's Bludger, sending it flying at Wynd. Barely able to cast his eye over the fifth year's condition whilst Sophia readied herself to throw the Quaffle at the Chasers (but not before a couple more substitutions occured, which Bryce paid little heed to; not because he didn't care, but defending oneself from a Bludger wasn't easy as an item of multi-tasking; and weren't men supposed to be stereotypically terrible at that anyway?), Bryce noted another Bludger some distance away, which, if he hit correctly, he could direct easily at the Payton kid again. Feeling somewhat guilty for targeting such a young child, Bryce tried to make himself feel better by telling himself this was a game that had to be played in all fairness, where each player was treated the same, with equal respect; he wouldn't be respecting Payton if he didn't play against him with his all. Feeling his confusing logic shifting in his brain, Bryce flew at the Bludger nonetheless without question; at the end of the day, he knew his loyalties lied with his house and team. Upon catching up to it, he took a good swing at the Bludger, causing it to careen towards the third year.

Payton sneered and cursed at the Hufflepuffs loudly, wishing he had a bat in his hand as he chased after them, sophia had passed the quaffle to harmony, then he switched corses to follow the quaffle to get it back, he could see the hating looks of his teamates they shot at him for missing "What? I'm third year!" he shouted at them trying to both doge a bludger and get the quaffle, he thought smashing into her first would help her get the idea so he did so

Mary heard the hiss from the Slytherin crowd and turned in time to see Wynd get hit hard by a bludger and Hufflepuff in possession again. She let out a groan of her own but was thankful at least their seeker was safe and working for the team. Payton went on to try steal the quaffle from the Hufflepuff chaser; the boy really did have enthusiasm. That was good, that would help the team. Especially if they could keep him for later years when he would have more experience and the like. More size too, when you saw the team together he always stuck out as the little guy, maybe she should try him as seeker some time next year... That wouldn't really be fair though, Mary knew what it was like being a beater playing seeker, it wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't the game she wanted to play... 'And that game was exactly what I intended to play' Mary thought as she went after another bludger to hit at the little Hufflepuff girl.

Thankfully, Sophia had saved the Quaffle. Breathing a sigh of relief, Harmony circled the pitch again, hoping to find the Snitch. Suddenly, Madam Hooch's whistle went, and play was halted as Ivy did some more substitutions. Unsurprisingly, Charlie was replacing her as Seeker, and she was moving to the Chaser position instead. Grateful for the change, Harmony flew past Charlie and sent him a large smile. "Good luck," she said, before flying towards Sophia. The game was in play again, and Harmony immediately flew towards their Keeper, yelling, "Sophia, over here!" Her fellow teammate heard her call, and the Quaffle came her way. Luckily, no Slytherin Chaser was around to intercept, and Harmony caught the red ball tightly in her arms. Biting her lip in triumph, Harmony immediately pelted down the pitch towards the other goal. There was little opposition, and her speed outmatched anyone elses. Moments later, she was in front of Asteria; gritting her teeth, Harmony was about to aim and shoot, when Payton, the new third year Chaser, appeard out of nowhere. Eyes widening in alarm for she knew he would try to steal the Quaffle from her, Harmony immediately tightened her hold on it.
