Hah! Just when he thought he was safe. Another Bludger was heading straight toward him. This Stewart bloke was persistent. But if the other two shots had not hit Rex, what made Stewart think that this one would? If only there was a way to avoid the Bludger and make it seem as though he had found the Snitch. Jasmine had stepped up her game and was searching for the golden ball just as hard as he was. He had hoped that she would lay in the shadows and let Rex find the golden ball without her interference. But that was no longer the case. Rex was still confident though. He would find the Snitch before her. He just knew it.

Wind ruffling his dark blonde locks and blowing his fringe across his narrowed blue eyes, Theo skirted past Scott's outstretched hands with an infectious grin on his face. "Sorry, Scott!" He yelled back teasingly, before launching the Quaffle at Celia. However, Lenora was intercepting the pass before he knew it, and cursed when the red ball landed in her arms. Grimacing, he flew forwards to try to steal it back from her, desperate not to let Gryffindor score another point.

Another Bludger was heading towards Jasmine and Stewart didn't know whether she'd heard him when he warned her to dodge. He'd managed to hit the other Bludger in Rex's direction and so he flew to try and defend Jasmine from yet another Bludger hit.

Melody felt a slight jar in her arms as her Beater's bat made good contact, and she smiled as she saw that she'd successfully defended Scott from the Bludger, which was now heading towards Jasmine. That should keep at least one Ravenclaw Beater busy. She scanned the pitch for the other Bludger and found that she and AJ obviously hadn't been keeping the Ravenclaws busy enough, as someone had sent the other Bludger flying at Rex, yet again. He was already taking evasive action, but she hastened to defend him against it, not wanting to leave the matter down to chance (or rather his ability to dodge the Bludger) this time. As she went she calculated whose direction she wanted to deflect it in. A blonde-haired Ravenclaw Chaser was trying to steal the Quaffle off Scott, and she had a fairly straight line to him, so she decided that he would make a reasonable target.

Nothing. There wasn't even a hint of gold. Sighing, Jasmine looked over her shoulder at the other seeker noticing that he wasn't having any luck in finding the snitch. Hearing her name being called, Jasmine turned her attention on Stewart noticing him flying toward her way. Another bludger?! Jasmine gritted her teeth as she ducked doward keeping her eyes open for the snitch, but yet trying to keep out of the bludgers way.

She caught it! Finally, back in the game. Lenora had caught the quaffle just as Theo tried to pass it along to another figure in blue. She was too busy to see who or where it was, she needed to get back toward the Ravenclaw keeper; keep Gryffindor up, keep Ravenclaw on the defensive.
Lenora sped along as blue and red blurs swayed this way and that. Soon Theo was back, though – riding right beside her. Lenora held the quaffle as tight as possible but could feel it slipping. Knowing it wouldn’t be hers much longer at this rate Lenora found another figure in red, it was Zara. “Heads up, Zara!” She called and released the ball to it’s fate.

Elaine watched as Celia and Theo went into action. Both of the chasers were on the ball, which made Elaine feel horrible that she wasn't doing anything already. Bludgers were flying back and forth from both teams, two of them already hitting Jasmine. The older Ravenclaw seemed to be in pain, but she kept on going. Taking a deep breath, Elaine urged her broom forward as she saw an opportunity open. Zipping past some of the chasers, Elaine held her hands up into the air hoping to snatch the quaffle out of thin air from Lenora's hands.

The game was passing quickly. Before Jamison knew it, Gryffindor had possession of the quaffle. Jamison knew the Gryffindor Chasers were fast, but so were the Ravens. He sped around a group of players and over to a group of Ravenclaw Players. Jamison knew that this would most likely be his last Quidditch match ever. It wasn't like he was going to play it professionally or anything. That had always been a dream of his, but he knew it wasn't very practical. Jamison shook his head and gained speed on his broom. He had to at least make the most of his last match. He owed that to himself and the Ravenclaw players. Celia would probably take over the team the next year and Jamison knew that she would do a great job, but they could never get this team back. It was their last game together and Jamison wanted to win. Jamison quickly saw the bludger headed toward Theo and he flew over as to defend his teammate.

Jasmine turned her head as she heard the familiar clank of the bat hitting a hard surface. Letting out a sigh of relief, Jasmine thanked Stewart as she continued to glide on through the air. She had to get her mind back in the game. Looking up she noticed that Gryffindor still had possession of the quaffle, but the chasers were trying their hardest to get it back. Turning her attention back on the search, Jasmine zoomed downward searching along the edges of the pitch.

Elaine felt her heart sink as she felt the surface of the quaffle slip past her fingers. It flew right over her head into the arms of the other Gryffindor chaser. Sighing, Elaine looked over toward Theo before glancing at Celia. They both were trying their hardest to get the quaffle back in Ravenclaw hands. Zooming forward, Elaine drew closer to the red haired girl finally making it to her side. Lifting her hand and forming a fist in mid air, Elaine drew her arm froward punching the red quaffle that was tucked under Zara's arm.

For the second time this game, Melody had saved Rex from being hit by a Bludger. He smiled at her and thought to himself If only she was a third year... Then he could flirt with her. She was a little young for his tastes. These thoughts were swiftly stolen from his mind as he saw the Quaffle trade hands from Lenora to Zara. The Gryffindor Chasers were really on their game today. It seemed as though the Ravenclaw team could not do anything right. As Rex watched Zara fly around the pitch, he thought he spotted something golden near the end of her broom.

Once again, Gryffindor had stolen the Quaffle. It was almost like the Quaffle had an aversion to the Ravenclaw Chasers. Whenever they got the red ball, it seemed to hop from their hands into the waiting hands of the opposing players. Once again, Zara had the Quaffle. Would she try to score again? Or would she pass to another one of the Chasers? Either way, August would be ready. He was tired of letting his team and his captain down. No, this time, he would save it. August flew in front of the center hoop and shifted his weight from side to side ready to take off in either direction. He wouldn't let his team down this time.

Zara shouted her approval when Lenora intercepted the Quaffle from Theo, the crowd echoing her cry. She had been somewhat concerned when Scott had failed to steal it, but her fellow seventh year had saved them from a pickle. Zara smiled triumphantly as she shot forwards so her teammate would have someone to pass to, eyes glancing across at Theo, who looked like he was about to try to steal back from Lenora. Determined she wouldn't let that happen, Zara spurred her broom forwards faster, yelling at the top of her voice, "Over here, Lenora!" Her teammate saw her clearly and proceeded to chuck the Quaffle across, and Zara leapt up with arms outstretched. Only, the other fifth year Ravenclaw Chaser, Elaine, who had as of yet had little action, flew from out of nowhere to try to intercept the pass. Thankfully, Lenora's pass went wide of Elaine's hands, and thus the Quaffle landed in Zara's arms. She wasted no time in flying towards the goal, where August was once again waiting. Zara grinned to herself as she prepared to shoot again; hopefully this would make it thirty-nil. But, with Elaine coming up towards her, Zara needed to defend the ball first. Wrapping her arms around the Quaffle tighter, Zara attempted to out-fly Elaine and throw the ball at the goal.

Melody smiled as she saw that the danger to Rex had been averted, and she smiled back at the Gryffindor Seeker as this time he did acknowledge her efforts. She was pretty sure that her aim at Theo was good, although she could see that Jamison Parson was already moving to intercept the Bludger. Melody flew off to find the other Bludger, the one that she'd been trying to hit Jasmine with before. She spotted it fairly quickly; it was moving fast but not actually heading for anyone at the moment. She whacked it towards the Ravenclaw Keeper. It looked like Zara was going to make an attempt on goal, so she wanted to give her a bit of help. August probably wouldn't be distracted from actually defending the goals, but it would hopefully cause him problems when he was trying to pass the Quaffle to a Ravenclaw Chaser afterwards, whether by knocking the Quaffle out of his hands or just by causing him to make a bad pass that Zara, Lenora or Scott could intercept easily. She watched the Bludger as it whirred on its way, and then resumed hovering slightly higher up as she looked out for any teammates who needed defending.

Cass grimaced as she watched the game. Making a quick decision, she soared towards Hooch. " I'm sorry, but I need to make another line-up change. I'm going to sub Casey in as keeper, and I'm going to go back to beater." Cass waved down her current beater and motioned Casey over to the keepers position. Cass sighed as she rocketed off into play. As she watched, one of the Ravenclaw players sent a bludger at Zara. With a push, she put herself in the way of Zara and the bludger.

Zara felt s surge of relief sweep through her veins as she managed to avoid Elaine's attack, swooping past the smaller girl's attempt to snatch the Quaffle. However, her job wasn't complete yet; she had to score. If she succeeded, it would be her third goal of the game, and she would be the only scorer out of all the Chasers on the pitch! The thought gave Zara some comfort and pride, but she knew it wasn't enough with just her and Scott and Lenora working hard; Rex had to catch the Snitch soon for Gryffindor to prevail. Inwardly wishing the fourth year luck (but knowing Rex in the short time he had been on the team, as well as his reputable character, he wouldn't think he needed it, plus his skills were pretty good), Zara threw the Quaffle for the third time at the goals. She watched with bated breath as the red ball sailed towards August, waiting to try to save again. However, out of the corner of her eye, Zara noticed a splurge of black heading the Keeper's way. It was Melody on the offence again, Zara thought with satisfaction. She felt sympathetic towards August, but it was a game her team needed to win. If they won this match, then Gryffindor had won this season's Quidditch, and therefore earned the cup.
As Zara had anticipated, the Bludger hit August, even though he tried to swerve. The poor thing, he couldn't concentrate at the same time on the Quaffle flying towards his goals, and left them wide open. Zara whooped as the ball dropped through the middle hoop for the third time, delighted to up the score to thirty-nil. "Yes!" She cried, bobbing up and down on her broomstick. It was another ten points closer to victory; Zara could almost taste it. Still riding on a high, she waited until August had the Quaffle in his hands again, and raced forward to intercept the pass he would soon make. She knew it was harsh of her, but Zara was on fire today, and she didn't plan on losing her winning streak anytime soon.
