Tristan made his way down the busy street. hogsmede weekends were always busy. students ran through the streets, carrying candy from honeydukes and merchendise from Zonkos. The morning had brought a white frost to the village which was slowly melting as the sun warmed the earth again.
He could feel a rumbling in his stomach, he had skipped breakfast to get in some more time for study. Right now a cup of tea and some crumpets seemed like a great possibility so Tristan entered madam puddifoot's tea shop on the end of the street. It was full of students in scarfs to combat the early morning frost, but many were taking their scarfs off now, especially the ones closest to the burning log fire on the far wall.
Taking a seat at a spare table by the window Tristan watched the street outside as an unexpected shower of rain began to cover the cobblestones with fresh spring water. a few students ran inside the tea shop greatfully accepting the warm shelter it provided them. A some walked by his table, seeking a seat when a girl approached him...

Walking into the tea shop, Cassandra flipped her hair back over her shoulder. Letting the smells off the tea shop overcome her senses, she sniffed the air. Noticing Tristan in the corner, she walked over to the table.
" Mind if I join you?" She sat down before he could answer. " Funny seeing you here. This time I'm apparently following you." Raising her hand to get the attention of the waitress, she ordered some tea. " I saw you leave Zonko's. What did you get?"

Tristan gave the girl a friendly smile as she slid into the chair opposite him. She was in his year, He had difinatly seen her before.
Cass, he thought her friends called her. She asked him what he had bought at Zonkos and he was pleased to show her his newly aquired items. He rummaged in his bag to find what he was looking for,
"Well first I got a bag of pink lollipops. They look normal but when you try to eat them they actually pop on your mouth and leave you unconscious for ten minutes ..." more rummaging, "... Then i got this packet of tea bags. They seem normal, but they are so spicy that when you drink them your whole body goes red for several days-"
"Tea's ready" Said Madam Puddifoot warmly, placing a tray on the table. Upon the tray was a full, steaming teapot, two cups and saucers and finally a large plate of crumpets, about ten alltogether.
"Thank you" said Tristan, greatfully acception the tea. As Madam Puddifoot left Tristan leand over to Cass, "I don't know about you, but i was only going to have two crumpets. there are enough for five peopl here!"

Cass smiled taking a crumpet. " I know. I could never eat this much, unless I'm with the girls. You always know when girls are hanging out together. There is more food than you know what to do with." She took a sip of tea and a bite of crumpet. " Yum, its wonderful."
"Are you a regular at Zonko's? I only go every once in awhile to get some fireworks. I love fireworks. A bunch of us got together one night and shot them off all night. I thought I was going to get into alot of trouble. But, you know me, my middle name is trouble."

"I love fireworks too!" Tristan exclaimed. "Well iI love fire in gerneral, I'm a leo, a fire sign. What star sign are you?"
Tristan finished his crumpet and cup of tea. He asked, "Would you like to come to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop with me? Then I have to post a letter at the post office. You can come with me there if you'd like. I would be nice to have the compan-" BOOM The thunder struck violently outside. It was a terrible shame as the day had been so pleasent to begin with. Gazing outside Tristan noticed that old winter leaves that had not rotted into th earth yet were swirling around the village, despite being pelted with the rain.
"Well I do still have to go to those places. Are you up for it?"

Desiray had been walking down the street, minding her own buissness! (other than looking at all the students she walked by distastfully) Suddenly a rather large BOOM resounded through the small village of Hogsmead and Desiray found herself screaming slightly as the lightning hit. Her heart eccelerated and she looked around in surprise. Suddenly as if suddenly a veil had let go of the clouds, rain pelted down on her head. It didn't start slowly and work its way up to hard rain... no it started hard and was getting harder. Desiray glared as she white shirt soaked through to show her black tank top that she always wore under her white shirt and her bare legs got suddenly very cold. She sighed as she hair turned form brilliant blonde with red roots to dark, almost brown with black looking roots. She tried to make her cloak wrap frimly about her but the sudden gusts of wind had made grabbing her cloak almost impossible. She finally got hold of it and wrapped the wet cloth around her.
Well she was still extremely cold. Shivering, Desiray searched for a warm looking place to get shelter in. She noticed Madam Puddifoot's and sighed very heavily. Though she despised the place, Desiray Cestbon, the daughter of a Death Eater, walked into the small tea shop a glare on her face. She glanced around the shop, the twinkling of the bell from the door making her eye twitch in annoyance and the decorations making her whole body want to run out of the place. She took a deep breath and decided to sit somewhere and have some coffee. There was one empty table, sitting in a corner beside a boy and girl chatting friendly at the table next to it. With great loathing she noticed it was a Ravenclaw and worse... a Gryffindor. Both were third years which made Desiray hate them even more. She decided to put on a sexy smile and started to walk toward the empty table, the usual sensual sway in her hips. She let her arm slowly rise and hit a boy in the back of his head causing him to bonk into the girl he was snogging. She shrieked in pain and he apologized over and over. Desiray turned suddenly a fake look of apology on her face.
"OH MY! I'm sooo sorry..." she then smile again, "Not really... Oh if only I cared..." she laughed horribly and turned, starting to walk toward the table again. She sat and screamed for Madam Puddifoot. She scurried over in shock and took Desiray's order for some black coffee. Desiray ordered the woman to bring it straight away, she said in such a tone that she didn't even need to say 'or else'. She finally got her coffee and she leaned back, placing her muddy black boots on the table and sipping her coffee. She glared at anyone who looked at her and even told someone to shut their face and stop looking or she was going to kick them very hard in the face with her menacing looking boots. When whoever it was finally turned around Desiray would giggle happily and continue to sip her coffee.

The rain pelted down outside and the sky darked as more dark clouds covered the sun. It was amazing how the day had started so fine and had taken a definite turn for the worse. Although the weather was a niusance Trista did love watching a storm from a warm spot inside. It was a great way to relax and forget about the worries of the day. The problem was that Tristan would have to leave the tea shop soon and face this ghastly weather.
Tristan had just finished asking cassie a question when a girl entered the coffee shop. She was farely tall with long, blonde hair which was more of a brown colour now as she was soaking wet. She wore a black cloak which was completely watterlogged and clung to her body. Her bare legs were white and her white shirt had gone seethrough from the sudden downpour. The girls face was pretty and smoothe but at the moment her expression was sour. She was definantly attractive, Tristan thought. Despite how wet she was.
The girl walked across the shop to a table right, next to Tristan and Cass' where she sat in the comfy chair and placed her muddy boots on the table. Tristans couldn't help but stare at the girl. something about her drew him towards her. her beauty was uncommon amongst humans. Tristan wandered if she was part Veela. He finally plucked up the courage to speak to her;
"H-h-hi th-there." He said tentatively. He hoped she would respond.

Cass flinched as she heard the weather take a turn for the worse. " Goodness, the weather just went from wonderful to really bad. But sure, I'm more than willing to go to those other shops. However, I don't think I've....brought....an....unbrella." Cass said this last part very haltingly as she realized that Tristan wasn't listening to her. His attention was elsewhere.
Cass looked in the direction that Tristan's attention was now focused on. The girl that had just entered the shop was very pretty, but she recognized her. Trying to place where she knew her, she placed her hand on Tristan's shoulder to get his attention back. Then it came to her.
OH, no. She's a Slytherin, Cass thought to herself.
She leaned over and whispered in his ear. " Tristan, Slytherin's are bad news man. Trust me, they will do nothing but break your heart. I know from personal experience."
He continued to stare absent mindedly at the girl. He wasn't going to listen. However, when people warned her about Slytherin's she didn't listen either. If she had, she wouldn't be in this convoluded mess with Pyro. Now realizing her advice would go unheard, Cass sat back to watch the ensuing fireworks.

Desiray had just sipped her coffee when suddenly she felt eyes on her. She glanced through the corner of her eyes and smiled inwardly. A boy when seemed to be goggling her. She loved it when boys goggled her. t a second glance however her thoughts changed. It was a Ravenclaw. She hated Ravenclaws... but she decided to flirt a bit even though he was younger and in a horrible house. She didn't respond to his watching until he, somwhat nervously, said hello. She turned slowly, the smile on her lips meant to draw him in. She put on a sweet expression and sipped her coffee, locking eyes with his.
"Yes?" she asked setting down her coffee. He seemed to have ignored the Gryffindor girl he was sitting with. She recognized her as Cassandra, the poor wittle girl who got her wittle heart broken! Desiray had broken many hearts and didn't feel bad at all, but then again she never let anyone get that close to her so her heart had never been broken and she liked it that way. She focused on the boy again and blinked once, waiting for his reply.

"I w-was just wondering... would youl-like to join us?" Tristan stammered He looked back at cass to see if she minded before pulling a chair out from the table for desiray to sit in.
At that moment Tristan wandered if there was magic at work. He had never felt this way about a girl. Sure he had loved before, but ne had never felt like this. like he was beaing eaten from the inside out, by this girl, Desiray. Perhaps their was somthing in the tea or somthing, but Tristan was head over heels for this girl. She was a slytherin. A minor drawback. Tristan wanted to get to know her. He had seen her break somones heart before, but he didn't care. perhaps she would be different with him.

Desiray, whos smile was sweetly torturing him (and she loved it), stood, took hold of her coffee mug and sat down next to Tristan, letting her hand travel over his shoulder. She didn't glance at Cassandra, but continued to keep her bluish green eyes locked with his. She smiled more and let her head tilt to one side.
"Well... here I am. What would you like to talk about?" she asked in a wonerfully smooth tone. She moved her knee so that it was just barely touching his and put a questioning expression upon her face so that she seemed to really want to know the answer of her question. She sipped her coffee, her eyes still continually locked with his.

Tristan was catching on to Desirays game. she was going to hook him in and drop him. Well two could play at that game, "What ever you like..." He gazed into Desirays eyes and smiling he stole a wink at Cass. Tristan wasn't sure of the outcome of this little interlude would be, but whether Desiray dumped him or not he didn't care. he was enjoying her company too much. This could turn out to be interesting. Tristan would make sure he did not get attached to Desiray and perhaps today she would get her comuppance

She didn't glance down at his hand on her leg, her insides jumped with joy as her mind screamed, SUCCESS!. She fluttered her eye lids ever so slightly and smiled more sweetly. She shrugged ever so slightly.
"Oh I know what I want to talk about...but I'm not sure that wittle cassandra back there is up to the sort of conversation I have in mind, she seems to like you a bit..." she turned to Cassandra and smiled, then glared, looking her up and down in a disapproved way, then winked wickedly and turned back to Tristan with a wip of her blonde hair and a flash of her bluish green eyes.

How appalling, all the students milling about with nothing better to do. And what's worse is Millicent knew they had been looking forward to this trip since it had been announced. Millie usually avoided venturing out Hogsmead weekends for just this reason, but alas today it was unavoidable. So Millicent stomped down the streets with the crowds of little kids giving her pass; knowing her to be a sixth year Slytherin and not somebody to mess with. True she was best known for her head locking The Boy Who Would Not Die’s mudblood friend in duelling club in second year… but from her time as an Inquisitorial Squad member last year the children also feared her wand. Millicent smirked realising her greatest weapon wasn’t even registering with these little kids, parting like the red sea, her tongue could make even the best of the mudblood filth go running home to Mommy.
So it was that in this rotten mood Millicent stopped in to meet an “acquaintance” of hers in a revolting little teashop in Hogsmead. He was going to provide her with some potions ingredients that were… less than smiled upon by the ministry. In a back room the pair meet and made the exchange, two-hundred galleons for three ingredients; worth every knut.
As if the fluffiness of it wasn’t enough to make Millie’s stomach lurch but the sight she walked in on after her meeting made her think she really was going to hurl. It was grotesque pedophilia is what it was; and worse it was from within her own house. Unable to allow such a display Millicent came over to a group of three students; a little Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and much older than them but still younger than seventeen year old Millicent Slytherin. As if keeping such company wasn’t bad enough for the Slytherin girl but the Raven filth had his hand on her leg; can you imagine? The pair seemed quite lovey dovey and though Millicent knew that particular Slyth was known as being a shameful disgrace this was just too much and Millicent couldn’t let her dishonour Salazar in this way.
Without preamble Millicent grabbed the girl’s hair and yanked as hard as she could to get the filth to stand up and look at her. “Just what do you think you are doing? Associating with such trash and publicly humiliating our house! Not only that but you are throwing yourself at a child several years your junior. I knew you had no pride but are you really that desperate for attention?” Millicent spat at the dishonourable swine.

"There's nothing wrong with Cass" Tristan said, "She's as intelligent as anyone." Just then a slytherin sixth year ran up to Desiray and yanked at her hair. Tristan was shocked. He couldn't believe what was happening. He had seen this girl before. Millicent Bullstrode. A notorius bully. Tristan fished around in his robes to find his wand. He wouldn't take it out yet but he wanted to know that it was ready if need be. Tristan sat up in his chair and waited to see what would happen next.

Cass was getting very irritated at the way Desiray was behaving. After Desiray placed her hand on Tristan's leg, Cass nearly heaved. It was disgusting! She was really too old for him, and to be frank, she wasn't even that great looking. " Um Desiray, do you have to really throw yourself at guys to get their attention. I mean, I've never had to act this desperate to get a guy to look at me. Oh, and by the way, Pyro Blackfire didn't break my heart. It's only because of uninformed, backward, and imbecilic moron pure bloods like yourself who think they are better than everybody that have kept us apart. I do really hope you know what imbecilic means Desiray. Flirts have never been known for the brains."
Suddenly, Tristan took up for her. Shocked, her mouth closed very quickly. No one, other than Pyro, had really taken up for her like that. Still in utter disbelief, Millicent Bulstrode, a 6th year Slytherin, came up and pulled the back of Desiray's hair. Chuckling, she watched as she pulled wailed on Desiray. Cass couldn't help but snicker under her breath. It was nice to see a Slytherin pick on somebody under than herself for once.
Suddenly, Tristan stood up to defend Desiray. Oh, bloody hell, Cass thought to herself. She couldn't let Tristan face this older girl, nor was she going to let him up. Placing her right hand on her wand, which was placed discretely under her cloak, she sat up. Getting on her hands while still sitting on her chair, she placed her left hand on Tristan's shoulder. " Tristan, you don't need to do this. It's not worth getting into a duel in public with a Slytherin to prove your point. Desiray and I can handle ourselves."
She knew her pleads would go unanswered, because she could tell Tristan was one of those chivalrous types who would protect the maidens in his presence. Cass hated that. She was a Gryffindor, she could take care of her self. She continued to stay there on her knees, which were starting to slowly go numb because of the hard chair beneath her, ready to defend Tristan if Millicent decided to attack.

Tristan smiled at Cass. She was most definitly a Gryffindor at heart. She was on her knees on her chair was ready to attack. Cas was a true friend. Tristan decided. Ready to stick up for her Pals nomatter what, but Tristan couldn't stand to see someone get hurt. especially a woman. In one swift movement he grabbed Desiray by the cloak and pulled her trying to get her behind him as he stood by Cass, brandishing his wand ferociously, a few new hexes fresh in his mind.

Post by Perseus Feynman on Apr 25, 2005 2:39:42 GMT
Perseus slipped through the raucous, tumultuous crowds of Hogsmeade as he exited the apothecary. He had spotted Bulstrode, a Slytherin 6th year, enter Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. After stuffing potion ingredients into his magically enlarged pouch, Perseus barged through the crowds, looking to see what his fellow Slytherin was up to. Just then, a resounding BOOM, caused several faint-hearted people nearby to scream. It was caused by thunder just as Cimmerian, choleric clouds roled in. In a second, the streets layed derilect as swarms of milling witches and wizards ran for cover. Multitudinous rainsdrops fell at once in the opening downpour. Perseus merely casted a repelling charm, which essentially created an invisible umbrella. Passing several shops packed with loqaciously conversing students, Perseus finally reached the tea shop. He wondered why his fellow Slytherin had picked this shop in particular. Deciding that following would not hurt, Perseus entered the shop to see Desiray try to get the attention of a non-pureblood. "How convenient...." Perseus thought. Desiray was supposed to be a proud pureblood, not someone to sink to such a low level. He hid his evil laughter with a cough.
Sidling through the crowds, Perseus got closer for a better look. Evidently, Milicent Bulstrode had gotten a hold of Desiray's hair. Just as Perseus had said before, she had indeed gotten in trouble with an older Slytherin. He sneered with disgust at her weakness, being put to shame by someone who seemed to be obsessed with violence. Perseus then saw a Ravenclaw boy, probably only in his third year, take a defensive position, apparently ready for some sort of a duel. However, Perseus did not want to ruin the name of Slytherin with incessant violence. After contemplating for a split second on what to do, Perseus decided to step in before any violent actions were taken. He strode foward, towering over the other students (except for Milicent) and looked toward the boy with flaming green eyes. "Now, now. I do not think that violence is the answer. I thought that you Ravenclaws were a bit less belligerent. So, Desiray.... tell me why you are associating yourself with these.... people?" Perseus chuckled as he stood next to Milicent.

Tristan rose up to his full height. not very tall compared to this sixth year newcomer. He had not started this fight and he would certainly do anything he could to prevent it, but he would not back down. He knew slytherins could be sneaky and he wasn't going to leave himself defenceless.
"I have no intention of fighting and I do not appreciate violence in any form but I wont put may wand down until I am satisfied that I am safe. I'll not allow her" Tristan flicked his head in Millicent's direction, "To attack me or my friend or anyone for that matter while we are defenceless."

Post by Aden McGrogan on Apr 25, 2005 6:24:46 GMT
It had been a quiet and uneventful day for Aden. Which was a shock since he couldn’t stand not doing anything. Today though he had gone into Madame Puddifoot’s Tea Shop. He had been sitting at a table reordering himself a drink whenever he ran low. He wore a dark cloak with the hood pulled low over his eyes. He didn’t want anyone to recognize him and approach him today. He just wanted some piece and quiet. During the day many people came and went. Some where students of Hogwarts, most of them weren’t.
Aden did notice as a Ravenclaw boy, third year, entered the shop. Followed closely by a Gryffindor girl, also a third year, who approached him. They took a table together and began to talk in their own little conversation. Aden paid them no heed. The pair talked for a time and than somebody else entered the shop. Aden knew this character quite well. Desiray Cestbon, a Slytherin 5th year. Aden had had a meeting with her once before. She approached the pair and after a short time joined them. She seemed to be talking more to the boy than the girl. Aden couldn’t help but smile as he watched Desiray play her little game. She was no doubt seducing the boy. Making him feel special that a 5th year Slytherin was paying attention and showing interest in him. Aden wondered how long she would keep the charade up.
Aden never found out though. For just at that moment another character Aden knew very well entered. Millicent Bulstrode, a 6th year, and to make matters worse, a Queen of Slytherin. Aden had no quarrel with the queens. His sister was a member herself, but a fight would not be pretty. Aden had no trouble hearing Millicent’s words and could tell this wasn’t going to be good. Aden was just about to try and get in himself when another Slytherin appeared. Perseus Feynmen joined the group and seemed to be backing up Millicent. Aden had to sigh. He didn’t particularly favor Desiray, and if he had to pick sides based on power, he would go with Millicent hands down.
There was something about this sight, Slytherins quarreling with Slytherins that did not sit well with Aden. Many Slytherins sat in the common room and complained loudly about how the quality of the Slytherin house was dropping. Well, right here was one of the reasons. The Slytherin house would not be able to get very far if it was fighting internally. Aden stood up and smoothly moved over to the group, removing his hood he stepped up to them. “I hardly see how the Slytherin name is effected by all this?” He had to choose his words carefully and not be to insulting to Millicent. If it looked like he was trying to insult the queens not only would he receive hell from the queens, but he would receive double the hell from his sister.
“In fact, the only thing I see being disgraced here is her own name. For the only people that can truly hurt the name of Slytherin, are the important players.” He said nodded towards Desiray. He looked around, Perseus was towering over everyone to look intimidating. Aden was shorter than him, but only by a few inches. He also wasn’t to intimidated by Perseus’s height. Aden was about to say something when the young boy broke in again. Aden remained silent for a moment and than couldn’t help but laugh. He looked at the boy, eyebrow arched. “Do you seriously believe that she had any sort of friendly feelings for you? If you did you do not deserve to have you intelligence ranked among humans.”<br>
