Kris couldn’t sleep, so he slipped out of bad and pulled on a pair of black silk-pants a Slytherin-green silk-blouse, although he left the blouse unbuttoned. Silently Kris pulled out his invisibility cloak from his trunk and slipping it on, left the dormitory and the common room.
Avoiding Filch easily, Kris got himself a cup of cappuccino from the kitchen and went for a stroll in the castle. Kris turned into a rarely used hallway and glanced at the pictures and doors there. Opening one randomly, Kris let out a quiet whistle. The room was huge and filled with all kinds of musical instruments – a grand piano, guitars, drums, flutes, harps. Anything one could think about. The room was rather dusty though, showing that no-one had been there for quite some time. Months at least, if not even years.
Leaving the door slightly open Kris through his invisibility cloak on the piano and cleared a chair from the dust with a wave of his wand. He repeated the action on a guitar and picking the instrument up, sat in the chair. Quickly dimming the tones, Kris started to play slowly. At first just some random accords and notes, then slipping into a certain song.
Kris played the guitar, feeling quite surprised that all the instruments seemed to be in that good of a state, when he heard a noise from the doorway. Glancing up Kris saw someone standing there and staring at him. Without stopping playing Kris merely raised an eye-brow in question and took in the persons appearance. He didn’t utter a sound, but his eyes challenged the person in the doorway to say something.

(Mind me joining? My days seem rather empty these hours.)
Vanessa had been roaming aimlessly. Her mind on her music, her lips moving slightly to the songs she was to perform. Her eyes resting on pieces of parchement with words that seemed to flow just so elegantly against the written works. She couldn't sleep; too much to do. Too much to think about. Too much to say. She wasn't weary, just oblivious to the world around her at certain moments.
As she padded around the school with a sort of dazed expression pulled over her face that was usually smiling brightly, she started to wonder what would happen if she did get caught. Her perfect record would be broken, and she would more than likely get a detention. Considering she didn't have an invisibility cloak or anything of that sort, did she know that if she didn't watch herself carefully she might as well just scream and lead Filch right to her.
As she rounded a corner that wasn't familiar to her at all, she heard a faint sound of music. It was playing softly, as though it didn't want to be heard. Vanessa had good hearing, many years of piano and note matching would do that to you and she knew the sound of a guitar from a mile away. She closed her mouth and held her breath, listening for the source of the music, when she traced it to a door she opened it gently. But, it banged against something and she fell in.
"Damn.." She muttered before standing up again, and brushing herself off. Vanessa looked up and saw someone she didn't recognize. Nervously, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and stuck her hands in her pockets. Her feet shifted and she opened her mouth to say something. But, actually nothing really came out. Finally, she closed her eyes and tried again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize anyone was in here..I'll just...go." She said, she grabbed the door but didn't leave just yet. She wanted to see what he would say. Would he tell her to leave? Or invite her to stay? Maybe then she could get to know him better, but something told her maybe she didn't want to.

Lily was wandering down the hallways when she heard a beautiful sound. She followed the sound and it led her to a door marked "Music Room". Slowly, she turned the doorknob. She saw a Slytherin boy at a guitar, strumming. She stared at him, intently. He looked up at her with a raised eyebrow, as if challenging her to say something. "H-Hi. Sorry to bother you, but when I heard the beautiful music coming from in here, I had to peek in."

Kris watched as a girl, about his age stumbled in. She seemed rather nervous under his gaze, that didn’t falter for a moment. The older girl had just about turned to leave, when one more barged in. A first year, Kris decided giving her a quick glance-over as well.
Kris was about to answer something, when his fingers halted on the guitar and he heard Filch. “Yes, I hear it. Come on, they must be close!”
“Well, I wouldn’t really suggest leaving now,” Kris added, his voice a little raspy, but still smooth and deep. Placing the guitar down so it leaned next to the piano and grabbed his invisibility cloak.
“Get here,” Kris said, grabbing both girls wrist and pulling them farther away from the door. Kris pulled both of them close and with one swift motion put his invisibility cloak over the three of them. He didn’t want to be especially brave or heroic while doing this – he just didn’t fancy a detention and he was quite sure the girls would say something if they had been caught. Both girls had stiffened under his touch, but kept silent as Filch looked into the room for a couple of moments and after seeing no-one went on, muttering something about Peeves.
Filch closed the door behind him and after the echo of his footsteps had gone off, Kris pulled the cloak off and stepped away from the girls, taking his previous position and picking up the guitar again, although not starting to play. For a moment he played with the idea of ordering them both out, but then the conversation he had had just a little time ago about him trying to be more friendly, flashed through his mind, so he shrugged: “I just discovered the room, so I can’t really throw you out now. It’s your own call, if you want to stay win my company or not, as I’m leaving this place for a bit.”
It might seem a little rash to the girls, but Kris was a Slytherin after all. And he hadn’t really insulted them. And if they chose to stay, he would be polite Kris decided reaching over to his cappuccino cup and sipping it while his green eyes observed the girls reactins curiously.

Grace was in the llibrary working on some Anuient Runes home work. It was her strongest subject and she rather enjoyed it. Moving her runes around she formed a T shape and took out her wand. "Kel Yem" Grace said to the bag that lay just a few feet from her. Nothing happen it just laid there not responding. Taking a deep breathe she tried again, "Kal Yem" Grace said but still nothing happen. Placing her wand down she looked at her Runes notes. She was doing it all right and she sighed and tried again. "KAL YEM!" Grace said and saw the bag budge a bit. Smiling she tried again hoping this time it would fly over to her. "KAL YEM!" she caled out again and saw the bag lift into the air but dropped after flying a feet away from her. Felling rather furstarded she tried again, "KAY YEM" She called out and the bag than moved over towards her. Smiling as she held her bag she took out her note book and wrote more stuff about what happen. "After attempting once the bag did not move. Not trying to loose it I tried again but it still didnt move. Still not breaking out in furry It ried again and it budge. Once satifed I tried again and it flew over towards me but stoped half way. Until now I felt rather furstared and tried again it came right towards me. Grace wrote down in her Runes progress note book.
A couple hours later she had finshed with her home work and was done. Resting her head on the table she closed her eyes feeling rather tried. It was good when Grace was tried she was also snappy and grumpy. Yawning she put her note book back in her shoulder bag and swung it across her shoulder. Walking down a long line of books she noticed that Madam Prince had left. Wondering where she had gone she heard a clock stucked 12:00 and she panic. She was out after bed hours and Flich was out at this time. Trying to calm her nereves she walked out of the lirary and peeked her out down the corridor. Once it was safe she walked down it close in the shadows and up against the wall. Wallking down the corridor she noticed Mrs. Norris come up to her. The rather filfthy looking cat sat down and looked at her with those red eyes. Grace panic and ran down the corridor with the cat meowing towards Flich.
Her heart started to beat wildly and she slipped on the Prefects bath room and hide near the sinks. Taking deep breaths she looked at the door as no one came in. Sighing she got up and admired the bath room. It was so much better than the students and cleaner. Marble lay acorss the flour and a moutain with a merimaid lay on a rock. Grace brown eyes lit up and admired the room. She wished she could be a prefect but at that moment she had to try to reach the Ravenclaw tower without geting caught. Gulping she opened the door and pecked her head out the door. No one was in the hall and she ran down a long coriddor. Breathing hard a band of sweat gathered on her face. Wiping it away she turned down a corridor aimsly.
Walking down the corridor she noticed Flich again and opened a door to the nearest room where people had already gathered. "Quike hide hes coming!" Grace said and hide herself in a dark corner. After a while she noticed no one came into the room and she sighed. "Oy.... never mind my imagainatoin playing tricks on me. What you three doing out this late?" Grace asked placing her hands on her hips and looking at the younger students. Smiling she tucked hair behind her ear and serached for candy in her bag. Once taking out some chocolate she offered it to the people. "Want chocolate?" Grace asked still smiling.

Kris raised a sardonical eye-brow towards a girl who rushed into the room and hid in a corner. Well at least tried to – she didn’t seem to not notice that she was still rather visible there.
Kris was a very proud guy, so the fact that she seemed to patronize them a bit as younger students, didn’t suit him at all. Besides Kris could only take that much politeness at once, especially to strangers he didn’t care about and who weren’t in his own house.
“No,” he answered at the girl’s question sharply, with a flash in his eyes, but deciding oto stick with the polite-police for just a bit shorter, so he bit off the sharp comment that would usually follow the no.

Lily smiled at the newcomer. "Sure, I would like a piece, if you don't mind. As for my my being out so late, I awoke from a nightmare and couldn't get myself back to sleep. When I came in here, I heard this guy", she said, gesturing toward Kris and smiling, "playing the guitar. He is quite good."

Vanessa had been silent, which she was quite good at. She looked around the room, instruments were all over. A piano stood in the corner, which she rushed to when she first spotted it. She touched the white key and pressed it down, the soft soothing sound a low C rang out and riverbeated through the room. She snapped her hand back and put it to her mouth, restraining herself from actually playing. She didnt' want to attract Filch in here.
She crossed her arms and leaned up against the wall as another person joined them. Vanessa recognized her as Grace Willows, and she nodded in greeting to the Ravenclaw. Her arms still crossed, Vanessa looked around some more. Drums, guitars, pianos, maracas. There really was everything in here, it was like a music haven for music-maniacs. Some place Vanessa would definitily love to be every day.
Vanessa sighed, still silent. But, now debating whether to say something or to keep her mouth shut and not talk at all. She concurred that the last one would be best. She licked her lips, and looked around the room at the collection of people. There was one person from each house in this room and Vanessa found it quite, exhilirating. Vanessa stepped up and laughed lightly.
"Do you realize, we are all interacting? Me, a Hufflepuff, you, a Slytherin, you, a Gryffindor, and you, a Ravenclaw? Don't you find that, weird? One person from each house? At the exact same time?" She asked with a slight voice of mild amusement. Vanessa raised an eyebrow and waited for them to say somethng worth while.

Kris smirked as Vanessa jumped a little after playing a note on the piano. “This place isn’t a music room for nothing. The walls are sound-proof, so don’t worry about Filch here,” Kris said amusedly, guessing the most obvious reason for Vanessa’s nervousness, “The only reason why you heard me before is because I had left the door a little open. It’s closed now, though.”
Kris stood up and placed his invisibility cloak on the back of the chair he had sat on, observing the other girls from the corner of his eyes and their reflection on the window. “And you can’t really say we are interacting just yet, as we have rarely exchanged a couple of words by now, but I understand your point,” Kris answered silkily.

Vanessa lowered her head as he said that it was a sound proof room. She could think of a few pretty good words to exchange with him about cat's and their sensitive hearing, especially Mrs. Norris. But, she held her voice and just looked down at her feet. She wasn't exactly frightened, just...not very talkative when people were like that towards her.
"Interacting means to act on each other. If we are talking, we're interacting." Vanessa replied after his last comment about them not really interacting. She raised an eyebrow up at him. She was great with words. Words, grammar, and definitions. She was placed in Hufflepuff though, because of her loyalty towards friends...if she wasn't as loyal as she was; she would be in Ravenclaw.
"What were you doing in here anyway? Besides, the obvious of playing the guitar; which you did quite well, like Lily had said. I play the guitar as well, but not like I play the piano. The piano has always been part of me. Ever since I was a little girl, I suppose." Vanessa ran her finger along a music stand that was quite dusty, and it left a trail of cleanness behind it. She smiled and turned her attention back to them.

“Felt like a walk, so I got a cup of cappuccino and discovered this room here by accident,” Kris said nodding towards the cappuccino cup as he picked up the guitar again and started playing a muglge song, adding words to it. Kris didn’t have a schooled voice, but it was deep and silky and her legal guardian had once compared it to honey, who it would surround and embrace you.
“A breathless drive on a downtown street, A motor-bike ride in the midday heat, The dust that hung from the desert skies, Run though we'd run it still burned our eyes,
Oh yes we may walk on the wild wild side of life, And our movements traced by a stranger close by your side, And in the shadows of a promise you can take my hand, And show me a way to understand.
So if you think you know how to love me, And you think you know what I need, And if you really really want me to stay, You've got to lead the way, Yes if you think you know how to love me, And you think you can stand by me, And if you really really want me to stay, You've got to lead the way.”
Kris sung quietly, half closing his eyes while watching the girls. He had his own guitar in his dormitory, but this one here would work nicely as well. Kris let his fingers to continue the soft tune of the song, as she answer: “Then we are interacting obviously. Late hours and new places can cause that to people, who never wouldn’t be starting much conversations. This school is extremely prejudged.”

Lily leaned back against a wall, listening to the coo of Kris' voice. It reminded her somewhat of her brother, Johnny's voice. He used to sing her to sleep every night as a child. After her mother and sister were in the "accident", though, their father had forbidden him to see her, placing their death on his shoulders undeservedly. A small tear escaped her eye as her mind sifted through those many nights.

"Prejudged is an undersatement.God," Vanessa closed her eyes and shook her head sadly, "I'm even starting to talk like her. Weird." She shivered at the thought and sat down, her back against the wall, her eyes fixated on the piano. She narrowed her eyebrows, thinking of all the songs she could play on that piano but, didn't. Because, she didn't feel like playing in front of people she had just met. Vanessa was self-conscious that way, and her friends usually made fun of her for it..but, she brushed it aside and continued on doing it the way she was used to.
"You have a good voice? Training? Or no?" Vanessa asked him after a moment, she closed her eyes, her head leaned against the wall so when she opened her eyes she was looking up at the dull ceiling. So much to think of and so many things she didn't want to think of. There was the upcoming birthday of her Aunt and then the upcoming birthday of Jordan which she was being forced to go to, even though so many years before Jordan never had a birthday. Vanessa groaned softly at the thought of going and lowered her head into her hands. Then there was the whole thing with Chad, and it was all too much for her.
"Most people who sing, aren't classically trained, and the percent that was classically trained seemed to do so much worse then the un-classically trained." She mumbled so she could forget and move onto the present instead of the future. She raised her head and shrugged at the useless information she had just given out.

“No, my voice hasn’t gotten any schooling. Too much schooling makes ones voice sound like tin-cans, without no life nor character in it. I won’t have it for myself,” Kris answered to Vanessa, as his eyes settled on Lily and observed the young girl curiously, having seen the tear slip down her cheek, “And since you brought it up – you are starting to sound like who?”
Kris let his hands leave the guitar strings suddenly and placed the instrument down next to his chair and reached over once again to pick up the cappuccino cup, which was still steaming, thanks to a charm placed on it. Even though Kris had spoken to Vanessa his thoughtful eyes hadn’t left Lily, although the first year Gryffindor didn’t seem to notice it.

"Jordan. Evil little prat she is. Thinks she deserves all the attention because of something that happened that she can't even bother to tell me. Well, if she thinks I'm gonna stand by her side for whatever she did, she has another thought coming." Vanessa answered with a tone that stated she was mad. More than mad, Jordan had done things in her life and Vanessa had no clue what those things were. Though, the 13 year old didn't have a problem telling her other friends she did have a problem with telling Vanessa, her oldest friend.
"Heed this warning, all of you, stay away from her. You see her, run. Because, she isn't someone I would say to talk to. All she speaks are lies, and I'll be damned if she has spoken the truth to anyone." She said after a moment, she then stood up and made her way to the piano and sat down. Her fingers starting to play, at the right beat she came in...
"Oh, I've been taking what you're givin' now I'm thinkin' I've been livin' the fantasy of your sweet smile. Sad as blue and blue as only, you can cast the color on me. Can you see my fire, red? Cest La Vie, cest la vie, here in my lonely, cest la vie, cest la vie, here in my only, without him. Without him. Boy you swallow truth like honey, as you spew your lies upon me, sweet and smooth as it goes...down. Cest la vie, cest la vie, here in my lonely cest la vie, cest la vie, here in my only without him. Without him. Oh, say you, say me Say always and forever more I'll be your perfect little sugar bride But, oh if you could see The truth within our perfect harmony Your melody is bringing me down." She sang, then she ended the song with a complicated piano piece before she twirled around and faced the others in the room.

“Jordan. I think I’ve already run into her already,” Kris mused as Vanessa turned around after playing the piano and singing, “We argued in the Astronomy Tower some time ago, where she threatened me a bit, which intrigued me. Not many people dare to threaten a Slytherin on a roof-top, especially if he is bigger and older than they. Then talked one evening at the lake and also argued a bit. And then danced tango the other day and amused both of us. Also it didn’t go past without a little bit of arguing.” Kris raised a self-ironical eye-brow: “We seem to argue a lot and about a lot of things. We only agreed that pink was a horrid color.”
Kris took in the appearance of Vanessa: “Nice singing and piano-solo by the way.”
Lily was little aware of what was going on around her. She was too busy sifting through memories. Vaguely, Vanessa's and Kris' conversation reminded her of a rant that she had gotten into with her own brother, which only made her miss him more. Of course, Johhny was about 10 years older than herself. And, considering the fact that she was four at the time, it was more of a temper tantrum on her part.

((Hey sorry I dropped Grace becuase I wasnt geting any vibe but I wont ot continue on with Jasmine))
Jasmine ran down a long a corridor. Breathing hard she looked around franticly and turned towards the girls bathroom. Opening the door she locked it and caught her breath while leaning up against it. She had been running from Mrs. Norris for a long time and she felt her legs ake. Taking deep breaths she looked at her shoulder to make sure her potions were alright. Jasmine had been working late in a class room on her potion to make sure she had it alright. Her breath caught as she saw that the potion was alright. Sighing with relief she opened the door to see Mrs. Norris sit on the other side of the wall. The messy cat looked at her with its red eyes and mewoed. "Don't you ever give up!" Jasmine said to the cat and ran down the hall again.
Her legs aked with each steep she took. Stopping dead in the center she looked bother ways and saw a room next to her. Lurching forward she opened the door and closed it shut behind her. Walking back wards she tripped over something and went tumble towards the wall. Rubbing her head she got up and looked around the room. Some people were in there as well and Jasmine muscels tensed. Looking from each person she saw Vanessa and relaxed a bit. "Umm Sorry I was just trying to get away from Mrs. Norris. Man dose she ever give up?" Jasmine said puting her hands on her hips. Glancing around the room. Her hazel eyes lit up as she saw the panio in the corner. A smile crept on her face as she walked over towards it.
Touching the keys with her fingers she played a G# and smiled. Taking a set in the stool she started to play some keys. Closing her eyes she continued to play her favorite song. Humming lightly and ready to sing she tired not too. Continuing to hum light she played with her eyes closed. It was as if the music was taking of the girl and she was in her own little world.
"Some people live for the fortune Some people live just for the fame Some people live for the power yeah Some people live just to play the game Some people think that the physical things Define what's within I've been there before But that life's a bore So full of the superficial
Some people want it all But I don't want nothing at all If it ain't you baby If I ain't got you baby Some people want diamond rings Some just want everything But everything means nothing If I ain't got you" she sang lightly and turned red as she messed up.

"Oh? So you've had the pleasure of her lies? Jordan dances tango? Since when?" Vanessa looked at Kris, quite amused with this bit of information. Jordan never confided in Vanessa the way she used to, and all she knew about Jordan and dancing was that she knew Salsa. She also took gymnastics which added to her balance. But, tango was another thing entirely; Vanessa knew Mrs. Cortes used to tango once a week and Vanessa would have to watch Jordan, but she never knew Jordan had picked up on that hobby as well.
"Thanks, lots of practice." Vanessa said to his compliment, she then tapped her foot as she stood up and leaned against the wall. She was about to say something more when Jasmine Anderson walked in, Vanessa smiled and shook her head at her best friend.
"No, that cat has a 6th sense." She answered her question, Vanessa walked to the piano and leaned against it. Jasmine started to play and Vanessa listened, when she made a mistake Vanessa winced slightly and then gave her an encouraging smile. She then sat down next to her best friend and played the second part while singing;
"Some people search for a fountain Promises forever young Some people need three dozen roses And that's the only way to prove you love them
Hand me the world on a silver platter And what good would it be with no one to share, with no one who truly cares for me."

-Nessa, I really always loved you talking bad about me behind my back, and considering I am in a horrid mood at the moment, you are gonna get a wrath that I don't dare unleash to most people, but darling you are special aren't you?-
"Confringo!" Jordan pointed her wand at the window in her dorm, the glass shattered and she shielded her face from the flying pieces of glass that jetted at her. She uncovered herself slowly and looked at the now broken window, "Reparo!" The window fixed itself, only to get broken once again. Jordan sighed, fixed the window once more and then grabbed her shoulderbag. She threw it over her right shoulder and left the Hufflepuff girl's dormitories in a huff, her anger overflowing. She was seeing red as she walked out of the common room and down the stairs, past a corridor.
Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, and Ravenclaws all stopped to try and talk to her. But, one glare from her and they hurried away. Jordan rounded another corridor when she spotted Filch, most people would hide from him, but she kept walking. He stopped her and demanded her to return to her common room, and all Jordan did was tell him to bugger off and continue on her way. She found a door and pulled out her wand, not wanting to use the doorknob, "Dehisco." She muttered, the door swung open and she entered. Noticing she hadn't found a room that was empty.
"Bloody hell." Jordan cursed as she threw her shoulderbag at the wall, it hit the wall and then slid down and landed in a heep near the wall. Jordan sat down next to it, and kicked something out of the way; not really caring what it was and not caring that she had broken it. She then looked around to see who else was in the room. People, everyone she knew no less. Lily Ward, a Gryffindor First Year that she had briefly met in the hallways. Jasmine Anderson, a Fifth year Ravenclaw that had confronted her about her cutting problem after Katie's coma. Vanessa Nicholson, a Fifth year Hufflepuff that used to be one of her best-friends until she made the mistake of blowing up dear Nessa's piano. And Kris Graas, a fifth year Slytherin who she enjoyed arguing with, and wasn't a bad dancer at all.
"Bloody hell, again. Quis abyssus est per non res validus ut reperio a locus unus?" Jordan pursed her lips together tightly after saying her sentence and then looked away, completely aware that she should leave but, didn't. Actually, she was in the mood to argue. And arguing she did best, now to pick who to argue with. Kris? No, she didn't have anything to argue with him about, but Vanessa. Oh, so many things to say and so many things that needed to be said. She turned her brown eyes to look at Vanessa, glaring intently.
-Told you I was in a horrid mood...-
