First Hogesmead weekend away from the school was always an event to look forward too-- Especially when you lived the muggle life when away from Hogwarts. These trips, along with his one day at Diagon Alley just before school started, were his only trips to the outside wizard world.
He had been trying to keep up with Dillion that morning, but his brother was too excited with the thought of Zonko’s for there to be any hope of understanding him. It was Sethia who had finally come to the rescue when he ran into her after leaving the common room. After giving their normal hello’s and the simple pleasantries, they had sort of mutually decided to meet at Three Broomsticks in an hour. He decided that Dillion was fine on his own, he would probably just go find Jordan anyway, so he headed off to meet her.
He stepped into Three Broomsticks a few minutes early and after a quick glance around, noticed that Sethia wasn’t here here. He went to the bar and told Madam Rosmerta he wanted two butterbeers, but not to bring them until a girl joined him. After that, he made his way to a table off to the side and took a seat to wait for her.

Today was the first Hogsmeade weekend of the year, and Sethia was looking forward to it. She had planned on going on her own and just taking in the sights, but after she ran into Payton Moore earlier that day, she had decided to meet him in The Three Broomsticks. She and payton seemed to be running into each other a lot, not that Sethia minded, in fact she didn’t mind at all. Payton was very nice, fun to be with and they had they greatest talks, so she was looking forward to meeting him. She put on a pair of black jeans and little shirt and then head out of her dorm for the coach to Hogsmeade; she had just cleared the last flight of stairs when “IT” happened.
A while later, just over half an hour, Sethia was now reaching Hogsmeade, she hoped Payton hadn’t been waiting long, it would be really bad manners to make him wait after they both agreed to meet. She walked quickly through the crowd of Hogwarts’ students who were all on the trip as well, and made her way to her destination. She pushed the door open and walked in, her eyes looking for Payton. She spotted the redhead over by the bar and came up behind him, “Hey,” she said and she sat next to him, “Sorry I’m late, had an accident. Did I make you wait long?” now if Payton had seen her earlier, he would have known she wasn’t wearing what she had originally left her dorm in, now she was wearing a pale yellow sweater and blue jeans and her hair was open and a little wet and stringy.

He looked up and smile when she entered. Once she sat down eye eyed her lightly suspiciously. Somehow he didn't think she meant to come to Hogsmeade with her hair dripping wet. When she meantioned the actident he nodded slightly. He didn't care if her hair was wet, for some reason, it was as if however she looked, it just....suited her.
"Don't worry about..."
He flashed her a bright smile, just before a tray was brought over with two butterbeers, just as he planned.
"Something to warm you up?"

Sethia smiled and tucked a strand of wet hair behind her ear, she was glad that he was annoyed by her tardiness, “Thank, I really didn’t want to be late.” He flashed her a smile that instantly made her feel ten times better, and then offered her a butterbeer. She took the mug and took a long sip, it was just perfect, “Thanks, I needed that.”
She turned on her stool and backed the bar, but kept her head towards Payton, “I would have been on time, if not early, if it hadn’t been for Peeves. I was just leaving the castle when he decided that I needed another bath, and doused me with a bucket of cold water; he got a few others too, but I got the majority of it. I had to go dry off and change before coming. As you can see I didn’t exactly take my time,” she said pulling a strand of her hair for emphasis. “So again, I’m sorry,” she laughed, “but not as sorry as Peeves; he got the Bloody Baron in the crossfire, and when I last saw him he was disappearing through a wall, the Baron right behind him, screaming in rage.”

He grinned slight at her sprot. Sounded like Peeves. That was one ghost who might even like pranks more than Dillion, and that was saying something. Though he did wish that Sethia didn't have to get in the middle of it.
"Ah Peeves is the center of ever stress....but you know..."
He stretched a hand out a lifted a clump of her still damp hair.
"I think you pull of this reluctantly wet look rather well"

Sethia nodded as Payton spoke about Peeves, “Yup, that poltergeist.” She gave him another smile and sipped her butterbeer but stopped as he moved a hand towards her. Her eyes followed his hand as it neared her face and then took hold of her hair, her eyes then flashed back to him as he told her she pulled off the look well. “Thank you. I was trying to make a fashion statement,” she joked, her eyes still on Payton, “You look good,” she told him.

He laughed slightly at her final comment. He let his hands slide down the front of his sweater, one of those 'this old thing' actions. It was a deepy green, that only set off his rather brilliantly colored hair, and it had a think orange stripe across his chest. Very few of his clothes didn't have organe in them. Besides that, he wore a pair of tan pants, which did make him looked well dressed, even if he did wear them simply because they were on top in his chest.
"Thank you, thank you...I couldn't have you show me up, now could I?"
His eyes were on her again, and he coudln't help but think abou thow she had watched his hand when he brought it to her face. He wished the time he spent with his sisters taught him to speak girl a little better so he could translate its meaning.

“Me show you up? The way I look? You win hands down, anytime,” she said smiling, you could hear the laughter in her voice. He was looking at her again and she found herself wondering exactly what he was thinking, but she knew he wouldn’t tell her. She could not understand guys at all, they were completely the opposite of girls, from their behaviour to the way they dressed. Sethia wish she could read Payton, understand what his little eyebrow raises meant and what he was thinking when he looked at her, but alas she couldn’t.
She sipped her butterbeer again, it was smooth, “So did your brother come to Hogsmeade?” she asked him after she had swallowed. She put her hand through her hair again to pull apart some of the stinginess.

He laughed at her comment on his looks, then flashed her a rather charming, though obviously fake, smile and lifted his head in the air slightly to add to his look of arrogance.
"Well, I guess you do have a point there, but you are an extremely close second"
He grinned at his comment thinking that she was probably the one who would win hands down, but his ego never refused a little positive encouragement.
"Dillion? He would rather part with Ribet than miss a trip to Zonkos"

Sethia laughed, “Oh thank you. It is nice to know I wouldn’t fall too low on the list.” She was laughing at a combination of what he had said and the arrogant, highfalutin look he was trying to pull off. Sethia meant what she’d said, Payton did look very handsome, but he always did, and he must get told that so often.
Sethia laughed, “He is that much of a prankster? He would give up his familiar fore a trip to Zonkos. How about you, would you give up your pet for anything?”

He grinned as she called Dillion a prankster. That was a rather fitting description for his brother. Dillion caused more trouble than anyone else he knew....not that he was innocent though...he managed to get dragged into things more often than not...
Then she brought up Squeak. He was rather fond of his rat, but he wasn't above parting with him for the right rewards. He flashed her a bright smile, his eyebrows raised.
"I can think of a few things....."

Sethia was sipping her butterbeer when Payton told her he could think of a few things he would give up his rat for. The mug was still up to her mouth as her eyes looked up at him. She wiped the till trickle of butterbeer that was running down her chin at his comment, “Excuse me?” Sethia said innocently. “What?” she said with a curious look on her face, she thought that he liked his rat.

He watched her expression in respose, then smiled slightly at her question. He shrugged and took a big sip of his own butterbeer.
"Well, it can't be just anything, I am rather fond of Squeak after all"
Setting his mug back on the counter, he raised his eyebrows slightly before leaning in.
"Just promise me none of this conversation leaks to the ears of any rats....can't have Squeak thinking he can be replaced after all"

“I know you are,” Sethia said, as Payton told her he was fond of his rat. She laughed when he told her not to tell any other rats, “Oh, I swear, not a peep from me,” she said crossing her heart. “But what would you? You told me not just anything, but not what you would.” He had given her that look; that raised eyebrow look that was very cute on him. She wanted to know this time, she knew the look usually mean that he wouldn’t tell, but she would see.

He couldn't help but smile at her reaction. She did manage to always say the right thing, or at least it seemed that way. He wasn't sure how she managed it. He tended to speak before he thought, and it tended to get hm into trouble...but things were so different with her.
"Well...I don't know. I'm not one to share my secrets, but then you did promise to keep quiet with the rats. Well, how about this. I will just give you an idea. Lets just say if someone didn't want Squeak to stay around, I might have to consider giving him to my brother."

Sethia wanted to say something when Payton said he was not one to share his secrets, but she didn’t. She smiled at him, “Yes, I did promise, and I always keep my promises.” Her eyes grew wide as he told her that if ‘a certain someone’ didn’t want Squeak around he would give him up. “That someone would have to mean a great deal to you, to give up Squeak. Wouldn’t they?” she asked, an innocent look on her face.
Again her thought went to something she rather not say, just as they had that night in the common room, but in that instance she had been right in her thinking.

He nodded, a seriously look, made slightly exagerated for comical effect. He then grinned and nodded. Now if only he knew if she was thinking what he was thinking. He almost had to shake his head to try and clear his thoughts enough to reply with something other than a question about what was on her mind.
"Yes, you are right there..."

Sethia waited for an answer, “I thought I was right.” She sipped her butterbeer. She jumped down off of the barstool. “Let’s get out of here,” she said with a smile. “There is a new wizard arcade just opened down the street. Why don’t we go down there and check it out?”
Sethia had asked this so she wouldn’t ask what she really wanted to… “Who?” she swept her bedraggled hair behind her ears and looked at Payton with a smile.

He flashed her a bright smiled as she brought up the sugestion, and after a moment of looking as if he was debating he drained his butterbeer one one gulp and jumped off his own stool.
"If thats what you want, who am I to tell you no"
He then gave a slightly bow, as if to say that her wish was his command, before he held her arm out of her as he did when they wre at the ball.

Sethia watched Payton, he seemed to be thinking on her suggestion, but soon he was draining his butterbeer and standing before her. “You most definitely could tell me no,” Sethia said with a smile, “but I’m glad you didn’t.” he bowed to her and she nodded her head once, and then took the arm he offered her.
As they walked out of the pub, they took a right and walked up the street towards the arcade. “It’s a nice day we are having, isn’t it?”
