His mind seemed still too jumbled to think for a moment, and he stood there, just looking at her for what seemed like forever and an instant all at the sme time finally, he forced himselt to turn around, so he faced the door instead of her, and tried to regain his focus. He probably couldn't last one round if they tried to play the game again now.
He took a deep breath, tryign to be subtle about this. He need to just act natural. He finally turned to face her again, and after a moments hesitation, held his hand out ot her.
"We're off then?"

Payton’s eyes burned into Sethia’s and she would not have stopped staring if he had not broken the look. She turned away just after he did; her mind whirling, almost unable to understand her own thoughts. Why was she acting like this? She never acted like this before. ‘Get a grip on yourself Sethia,’ she told herself and then turned back to Payton who was now looking at her.
Sethia looked at Payton’s hand for a second and then smiled, taking it. “We’re off.”

He was a mix of tension and relaxation when he when he closed his fingers around her hand and started off towards the door. He was relieved that to some extent whatever it was about the hug had not really changed anything, but at the same time, it was hard to forget.
Once they stepped out to te street again, the chrisp air helped to clear his head, and he glanced over and smiled at her.
"I forgot how much I like Hogsmead"
It was nice to be in the wizarding world again. He loved his home and his family, but he hated the fact he always had to keep the sizard part of himself quiet, it was nice to just be a wizard in a magical world.

Sethia followed behind Payton all the way to the door. Had the hug meant something that was why she couldn’t forget it? If it did, then what? Did it mean something to Payton? There were too many questions, but as soon as the fresh, crisp air hit her face she almost forgot it all…almost.
He looked at her and she looked back at him, she smiled, “I like it too, especially like this.” Winter was absolutely Sethia’s most favourite time of year. “You know what I like most? Being me. Being a witch and not having to pretend I’m ‘normal.’ I like it that if I wanted to cast a charm right now, I could. I could make flowers grow if I wanted, or make your teeth grow big,” she teased playfully, “but I wouldn’t do that to you.”

He laughed at the latter of her charm sugestions, eyeing her suspicously before giving into a rather happy grin, the remaineder of his tension slowly slipping way. She felt the exact same way he did.
"I think you just read my mind. That is why I like it too. My family is fine with me being a wizard, but its still in the middle of the muggle world. I pend so much time here, sometimes my first reaction is magical, and when I'm home I have to fight that, and it seems so unatural to hide that part of me"

She listened to him as he spoke, their thoughts were identical. “I know what you mean. When I go to clean up, or feed the animals I want use magic, it would go so much faster, but I can’t. Hanging decorations on the tree and around the house at Christmas, I want to use magic. It feels so strange, so unnatural to not use it; to have to stop using charms when someone comes round or my aunt is home, though she knows. With the ministry, even though she knows who I am, I still think they would say I am breaking a rule, using magic before a muggle. I don’t know, she just thought I safer if I didn’t do it for her to see, though she has seen magic in Diagon Alley. We maybe wrong but she would rather be safe than sorry, and I want to finish school.”
"Magic is so natural to me, that it seems a crime not to use it...to be me."

he nodded, his own feelings the same. Being old enough to use magic outside of school was one of the happiest days of his life, but he still had to be careful. Even tough his family knew and understod, they lived in London and there was no escaping muggles.
"I know...It seems more unnatural not to use magic than to use it now--but then it didn't take me long to adjust to it in the first place. When I was little I use to hae a bit of an obsession with science fiction and the like. My favorite book when I was in the third grade was the Hobbit."

Sethia listened to Payton, “When I first knew I was a witch I was totally comfortable with it. My aunt is a Wicca, they are muggles who practice what they call magic. I was raised around it and from the day I came to live with her it was like she knew what I was even though I didn’t. I used to do little things, things I couldn’t control, but she used to watch me and then when I got my letter it was the happiest day for her, and me. Then I knew I had to hide. Her friends never saw real magic like us, so I couldn’t share it thought over the years I would seen them try things and know they would never work, or they would if they added this or took out that, if they had it in them. I stopped hanging around them, it was like being tortured; feeling you could share your secret, but knowing you never could.”
“There aren’t that many muggles near where I live; there aren’t many people,” she said with a little laugh. “But because of our secluded area, people are more superstitious and watchful. I probably have to be more careful than you do.”
He watched the ground before them as they walked, moving slowly down the street, the foreign feeling of her hand in his own having faded away, and now it all felt natural again.
"Its great that your Aunt was accepting about you being a Wizard. Once Pop's decided that the letters were real, he was thrilled that Dillion and I had found 'something of our own.' He is always encouaging us to find what we are good at and then persue it. I think he had more fun that first trip to Diagon Alley than we did."

It was a bit strange to Sethia, walking down the street holding hands with Payton, she never held hands with anyone, but soon that faded and she hardly noticed it, except for the slight flutter in her stomach, as his or her hand squeezed for some reason. “I know what you mean. My aunt didn’t go my first year, a Ministry worker did, but after that she would come. Every time she goes she’s like a kid in a candy store; her eyes grow wide and she wants to see and touch everything. I think she likes me being a witch more than I do myself; though I love it. For her I think it is like the culmination of a life long dream for her, a world she believed existed but had not proof till I came along.” She flashed a smile, “Unfortunately she can’t share it.”

He laughed softly as she described her Aunt. The woman sounded like a truly intresting person, and he could understand why she woud enjoy Sethia being a witch so much by the way she was described.
"I am having the feeling that Pops and your Aunt might get along rather well. As long as she doesn't mind the fact he is a bit excentrant. Pops never did anything at a normal level..."
He laughed again, looking up to see Honeydukes closing in on them, dispite the fact they were walking nearly half the speed of everyone else.

“I think they would,” Sethia said with a shimmer of a smile. “Oh my aunt might give your dad a run for his money in the eccentric department. I doubt he knows many Wicca or someone so into magic that was not a witch or wizard themselves. She also loves to talk about things on the farm. I think we would both bore your family with that,” she said joking. “In my life I don’t know I have ever known ‘normal’ really.”
She followed Payton’s glance, Honeydukes was approaching slowly as everyone whizzed by them. “We’re almost there. We got here fast don’t you think?”

He smiled at her comment, she wasn't the only one who had managed to escape anything even remotely close to normal. To some extent though, he would rather have it that way. He had no complaints about his raising, even if it wasn't the least bit ordinary.
"Who wants to be normal anyway. If we were normal, we wouldn't be walking to Honeydukes with wands in our pockets. We would be sitting in our muggle homes watching the tele and doing our biology homework instead of avoding potions."
When the topic turned to Honeydukes, she nearly read his mind and he nodded in agreement.
"Yes..It feels like we just left the arcade"

“I don’t. I like being extraordinary,” Sethia said smiling. “No we wouldn’t be here would we.” She thought a second, “That’s where do you think we’d be now, if we hadn’t found out we were wizards? You know I never thought of it. I think I would be on the farm, doing my studies and raising lambs,” she said joking.
Sethia really never had thought about life if she was not Hogwarts; if she were not a witch. She didn’t want to either, she liked who she was and would not have changed a thing…well something she would have changed but not that.
“Exactly. We just stepped out the arcade door and now we are almost to Honeyduke’s door.”

He thought for a moment on the question, thinkinga bout exactly what he would be doing if he hadn't gotten that letter int he mail.
"I would be in muggle school...and probably spending much more time in the clubs of London..."
He laughed, thinking about when he had otld her that he tended to go to clubs a lot when he was home.
"But luckily, we never have to actually know..."
Finally reaching Honeydukes he reache dout and pulled the door open.
"Well, even if we did get here in record time, no reason not to go in and give in to my sweet tooth"

Sethia smiled, “I bet you would be dancing the night away with some pretty girl,” she teased. “Or several,” she said with a grin. Sethia wanted to try a club, at least once in her life to see if she liked them at all.
Her hair had dried by that time and was blowing gentle across her cheek as she walked, she took her fine fingers and brushed them back, “No, we don’t…thank goodness. I do not think I would have been very happy in muggle school,” she said.
They reached Honeydukes and the gentleman that Payton was, he opened the door for her, “Thank you,” she said as she walked passed him inside. Inside there was the aroma of fresh chocolate and other delicious treats. “Mmm…something smells good,” she said looking back at Payton. “What do you want?”
He laughed at her comment about him dancing with one, or several, pretty girls. If only she had seen him over the summer, there were many grils at clubs, and he never was very good at turning them down.
Once they stepped inside the shop he paused for a moment. There was something about Honeydukes that managed to lift every spirit. Must have been all the sugar in the air.
"Do you even have to ask?"

Sethia looked around her, there were so many chocolaty, sugary, sweet things to eat, that she got dizzy just thinking about them. She smiled as Payton replied to her question, “How silly of me, of course I know what you want…Berty Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. Right?” she said and walked towards the stack with some chocolate trains and frogs.
She looked over the array of tasty treats and pulled a out a plain stick for making your own chocolate lollies and two chocolate frogs. “Should I get myself a box of beans too?” she asked, “Or are you feeling generous still?” she said referring to the first night they had talked and shared a box of rather tasty beans.

He laughed at her question, heading immeditly over to a display against the wall that hd bosex of beans stacked. He picked up two boxes and walked back over, admiring a few other candies along the way. He did have a rather big sweet tooth.
"I will always feel generous when you are involved"
Grinning he reached over and grabbed a pack of Fizzing Whizbees and a Chocolate Frog.
"I think this is a dangerous place to come into. I would be perfectly happy to eat everything in this entire store."

Sethia watched as Payton grabbed two boxes of bean from the shelf, “Thank you,” she said as he told her he always felt generous where she was involved. “Have you tried these?” she asked picking up a bag of Uncle Fred’s Frigid Fingers and showed him. The bag read “Uncle Fred’s Frigid Fingers are the best sweet treat you can find; this frosty treat will freeze your fingers and your tongue with its fantastic flavour."
Sethia smiled, “If it’s so dangerous I better get you out of her quick before you turn into some kind of sugar maniac and buy out the store. Though I am sure the owner wouldn’t mind too much,” she joked. “I, on the other hand could not manage this entire store, maybe just the chocolate frogs and trains.”
