He stopped for a momet, regaining himself, not sure what had come over him, well he knew what had come over him, but he normally managed to control any uncertinty he might feel and manage to act as if nothing was wrong.
"Oh, sorry about that, I don't know what hit me. I just wanted to tell you that if you wanted to talk, I am always here."
He looked over at her, stopping his eating for a moment to see how she reacted to his offer.

Sethia stared at Payton, his mind seemed to have left him in mid-sentence. “Hmm…” she said encouraging him to finish what he was saying. Sethia smiled when Payton eventually got out what he meant, “Oh, thank you,” she told him gentle, it was really nice of him to offer to be there if she needed someone. “The same for me Payton,” she told him, “you are really kind to offer.”
Sethia was glad he had made such a proposition, sometimes, late at night she wanted someone to talk to, at those times when her mind wandered to the past. It would be nice to know that there would be someone there just in case.

He smiled at her words, still thinking how odd of him it was to let his mind run away with him like that. Normally his words had no trouble keeping up with this thoughts, and he easily hid any concerns by simpl acting even more confident.
"I really do mean it. We seem to have hit it off perfectly, so we might as well stop pretending these offers don't already stand."
He flashed her a grin fter his words, his eyebrows raised slightly before he lifted up his sanwitch and took large bite.
