((Edward hits a Bludger at Zoey. Zoey attempts to avoid. Edward = Bludger (D6 + Str) = 6 + 5 = 11 Zoey = Avoid (D8 + Dex) = 1 + 6 = 7 Edward's Bludger hits Zoey!
Zoey must concentrate to maintain her actions. Edward = Bludger (D6 + Str) = 2 + 5 = 7 Zoey = Concentrate (D4 + Con) = 1 + 2 = 3 Zoey cannot concentrate and cannot attempt to catch the Quaffle.
August attempts to catch the Quaffle. Because no Gryffindor Chaser is trying to catch the Quaffle too, August has the Quaffle.
Trinity attempts to catch the Snitch. Trinity = Catch (D12 + Dex) = 10 + 3 = 13 Snitch = Avoid (D10 + D4) = 7 + 3 = 10 Trinity catches the Snitch! Gryffindor win!
Gryffindor 150 Ravenclaw 20

Zoey winced and closed her eyes at the impact of the Bludger on her shoulder. Her shoulder automatically went into a soaring pain. She opened her eyes and frowned when August caught the Quaffle, but she looked at the crowd and saw the Gryffindor flags and fans cheering wildly. She turned around and saw that Trinity had caught the Snitch and they had won. "Whooo! Go Trinity!" she cheered despite the pain in her shoulder and the dull throbbing of her ribs. She flew to Trinity one handed, not daring to move her shoulder to cause anymore pain. "Congrats Trinity, winning the House Cup on your first game!" she yelled to her above the crowd's cheers. She smiled and lifted her sleeve to peek at her shoulder. It was very red and a little swollen. She looked at Scott, wonder how he felt from being it not once, but twice. She returned her focus back to Trinity and high-fived her.

Ravenclaw's Beaters were on fire today. Theo was delighted to see a Bludger from Edward catch Zoey, distracting her attention, leaving the Quaffle for August. However, the happiness of the Chasers' success was short-lived when the whole pitch's attention focused on a red figure zipping across the sky. It was Trinity, having switched from Chaser to Beater to Seeker. Theo frowned as he watched her lithe body following what he could only assume from this distance was the Snitch. Where is Sandy? Theo thought worriedly. The Snitch had been seen! the Snitch had been seen and their Seeker was nowhere to be seen!
Before Theo could even scan the rest of the air for Sandy, a huge roar erupted as Trinity's hand closed around the Snitch. "Damn," Theo murmured, as though a punch had been given to his gut. He caught the eyes of Celia and knew she was disappointed. Damn, Theo was disappointed for her. He flew up to her immediately and patted her consolingly on the arm. He was disappointed himself, but he imagined it was worse for Celia. "Well done, Captain. You did a great job," he said with a grin.
All players had soon descended back to earth. The Ravenclaws quickly congregated, all bearing disappointed faces. Theo watched them with a heavy heart; this was their last match of the season and they'd wanted to win. "You all did Ravenclaw proud," he told them with a brightly brave smile. "You should all be proud of yourselves. Edward, you were exceptional today. Celia and I put you in an awkward position that you didn't want to be in, but you proved to be a brilliant Beater. You should feel really pleased with yourself. Well done and thank you. August, you and I had some great teamwork going on, great effort. We really tore the Gryffindor Chasers up." Theo allowed himself to revel in the twenty points Ravenclaw had managed to earn with the Quaffle before losing. "Most of all, a huge thank you and cheer for Celia, our Captain!" After whooping and clapping, the Ravenclaws dispersed to leave and change.
Theo walked in the direction of the Gryffindors. He knew they were celebrating, which was quite a sore spot for him, but he had good friends on the opposing team and he was pleased for them and their efforts. Trinity was going to be a right little star now, just like Scott had been the first time he had debuted as the winning Seeker. Theo grabbed Scott's attention briefly, congratulating him and then apologising in a joking manner about their Chaser scuffles during the match. Finally, Theo was able to see Oscar alone for a moment and quickly caught up to him. "Hey," he said breathily with a small smile. "Well done. You guys did good today." There was always next year for the both of them; that was when the real competition between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and Theo and Oscar, began for Quidditch.

Trinity chased after the Snitch as though her life depended on it. She was aware that she seemed to not have any competition, even though the last time she'd checked, there had been a small, blonde Ravenclaw girl tailing her by the name of Sandy Hart. However, this did not distract or deter Trinity; she focused on nothing but the Snitch, inching closer and closing to its flickering, golden shell. "C'mon, c'mon!" she muttered determinedly, and finally, her fingers closed around it, trapping its fragile wings in her palm. "YES!" she screamed, feeling the air knocked out of her from the sheer exhileration that she'd just caught the Snitch and Gryffindor had won! As though on cue, her teammates and supporters of Gryffindor burst into loud cheering. "Woo! WE won!" Trinity yelled delightedly, holding the Snitch up for the world to see and flying around the pitch. "That's how you catch a Snitch!" Yes. Trinity's competition spirit had truly been sated for now.
It took a while for her to reach the ground (in her head, never mind her body), but when she did she had calmed down considerably, though a huge grin still lingered as people grabbed her and congratulated her. The Snitch was still struggling weakly in her hand, but she gripped in tightly. Today was a good day. Today she had won the match for Gryffindor, her first time on the pitch. She found Scott's eyes and grinned, remembering the time she'd spoken to him about his own experience winning the first time he'd touched the pitch. Deja vu.

August was mad. Not just mad. Mad is not a strong enough word. Furious. August was furious. Not only had he worked so hard to catch the damn Quaffle and prevent Scott from scoring but when he looked up he found the Snitch in Gryffindor's possession. Making his effort fruitless. Where the hell was Sandy? August scanned the sky for her and could not find her anywhere. This just fueled his anger. Why would Celia and Theo put in such an unreliable Seeker? The Seeker was the most important position on the team and yet the captains had chosen to put in someone so irresponsible. The last time August had seen her see was going on and on about her plant army. That... THAT was the girl his captains had put the balance of the game on? Why didn't Celia and Theo just hand the Snitch over to Cass and stop the pretense of a game?
August let the Quaffle drop from his hands. He was several hundred feet in the air and watched the ball gather speed and it fell to the ground. It landed with a thump. He slowly descended himself. The Gryffindor team was gathering on one spot of the pitch and the Ravenclaws on another. August had no desire to be chummy chummy with his teammates right now. He blamed the loss on Sandy but mostly on Theo and Celia for making such a horrible decision. Once his feet touched the Earth he turned in the direction of the locker rooms. He could hear Theo giving a speech to try and console his fellow teammates but August would not be consoled. It was Theo's fault that they lost the game. All of August's hard work to gain some extra points were in vain. Before he disappeared into the locker room he overheard Theo mention his name. "August, you and I had some great teamwork going on, great effort." Doesn't even realise I'm not there. "Twit," August growled under his breath before leaving the pitch behind him.
((Izy: Counted this one too.))
