((In light of what's happened to Katy (see vacation list post), I'm subbing Jasmine out, moving Adriahna to seeker and subbing August in as Keeper, seeing as Jasmine won't be able to post.))

Celia smiled again as for at least the second time that game she'd managed to catch a loose quaffle. As it was Theo that had dropped it, and the quaffle hadn't gone too far away from him (and he hadn't moved too much himself, probably due to the injury), she decided to give ghim another chance and threw the quaffle over to him, hoping that none of the Gryffindor chasers would try to (and moreover succeed in) catch the quaffle or intercept the pass. By the looks of things the game was far from being over and she needed to keep the quaffle among the Ravenclaws. Also, that bludger was still heading her way, and she wanted to be sure of dodging it as she didn't want to be hit again, and she didn't want to let the team down, as the bludger hits surely couldn't be good for her ability as a chaser.

Thinking of this, she realised how unsuccessful the seekers had been. Jazz had been playing throughout the whole game, and had sustained some rather painful bludger hits, whereas the Gryffs had changed their seeker not so long ago, so they had a fresh eye looking for the snitch, which was probably advantageous for them. She decided that the best thing to do was to have Jazz subbed out, for now at least, so she could rest and recover, and make a couple of other changes too. She once again flew down to Madam Hooch and announced "I'd like to substitute Jasmine out of the game for a while, and so I'd also like to make Adriahna the seeker in her place and substitute August back in as keeper. Thanks a lot," and returned back to the game.

Some major changes were happening on the team. Stewart hoped they were for the best of the team. He flew to defend Celia hoping she wouldn't sustain another Bludger hit, and whacked the Bludger in Scott's direction.

Not so bad, not so bad at all... she hadn't even needed her Beater's bat to avoid that one. It must have been badly aimed, because Melody was no Chaser - she wasn't used to performing any special moves at all. She didn't feel particularly quick moving today at any rate... but when she did hit a Bludger, she did at least have plenty of 'oomph' to put into it. She'd successfully managed to defend Scott, but Celia had possession of the Quaffle yet again. Melody grimaced at this, but she didn't have far to go to get to a Bludger, since Stewart had sent one at her just before. But she wasn't going to take the bait... she always hated it when the game descended into Beater-to-Beater attacks. She would continue to play tactically, and target that Ravenclaw Chaser again.

Theo cursed to himself as he let go of the quaffle. Argh, he couldn't let himself be hit by another bludger! He didn't want to let his team down, no way! But luckily Celia was heading his way, trying to get to the quaffle before any of the Gryffs did (it looked as if Lenora was trying to get the quaffle for the Gryffs this time). He was in pain from the bludger hit still, but smiled as Celia grabbed the quaffle before the older Gryffindor girl did. Celia was now giving him another chance with the quaffle by the looks of it, and he flew to a more convenient place for him to catch it.

However, he saw Melody hit a bludger, and it was heading in his direction this time-and so soon after the last hit too! He really idn't want to do the same thing again, so while he attempted to catch the quaffle, he tried to swerve out of the path of the bludger, hoping that this time he'd catch the quaffle more successfully.

She missed! Celia got the quaffle before Lenora could reach it and was soon moving away from the spot. Lenora chased after her, reaching out to punch the quaffle. If this game was going to run long Lenora was going to make the best of it and try to score as much as possible.

Cass continued to watch the fast and furious action of the game. She could hardly tell who had the quaffle anymore. Cass readied herself in front of the goals.

Casey swerved around other players as she tried to catch up with the quaffle. The quaffle had gone loose for a few times during the game, but it was still kept in play and didn't hit the ground. Casey breathed heavily. She was pretty tired from all the quaffle chasing, but she was trying her best. She knew that Gryffindor could win this and she was make darn sure that they had a chance. Celia had the quaffle and then passed it to Theo. Casey sped up to chase after him and hopefully steal the quaffle.

Stewart hadn't seemed such an obstacle at the beginning of the game, but now, as Melody was beginning to tire, he was annoyingly good when she had to keep on mustering up more energy to defend against Bludgers that he'd sent at people; her Bludgers that he'd managed to deflect and send at members of her team, in fact. She hoped that he would let a few through his defence soon, because a little lull in play would not have gone amiss. Melody would be glad when she had a chance to flop at the end of the game.

For now though, she had to keep going and defend Scott against the Bludger that was now (yet again) heading his way. Melody intended to finally stop the pass-the-parcel game of the Bludger heading incessantly towards either Scott, or Celia; Stewart and Melody's favourite targets respectively. She felt that she might have been getting too caught up in the Chaser-play - she couldn't spend her entire time trying to help the annoyingly ineffective Gryffindor Chasers. She was a Beater, so she had to consider the wider picture, and the tactics of the whole game. The Ravenclaw Keeper had just switched to playing Seeker, according to the commentator's loudspeaker, so she would provide a fresh target for Melody, who was quite grateful for it because she had absolutely hated needing to attack Sapphire's best friend.

Yes! He had the quaffle, and was free to try and shoot. The pain from the bludger hit was still there, but it wasn't too bad anymore, so he clutched the quaffle under his arm and flew over to the goal hoops. He could see Casey out of the corner of his eye coming up behind him, probably to try and steal the quaffle from him, so he flew forward as quickly as he could, hoping to avoid her so she couldn't steal the quaffle from him.

Once he was within range of the goalhoops Theo didn't wate time trying to think of where to shoot. He just threw the quaffle straignt at the right goal hoop with all of his strength hoping that by the time Cassandra had a chance to do much about it it was too late for her. He just wanted to score, and really didn't want to let the team down.

Then he realised that the bludger that had been heading his way when he was receiving the pass from Celia was still coming towards him, so once he threw the quaffle he dived, hoping to avoid the bludger. He didn't want to be hit again as he hoped to play at his full potential throughout the game and another bludger hit would make that a lot harder.

Theo was going to try and shoot, but there so many obstacles in his way and Stewart wasn't sure who to deflect the Bludger that was heading for Theo at - Casey, or Cassandra? He decided to go with Cassandra and hope that Theo would manage to keep possession of the Quaffle He aimed stronger than he had during the entire game.

YES!! Celia cheered as Theo scored a third goal for their team. She grinned at him as he flew past, pleased that the shot at goal had been successful. She was really glad that the bludger hit hadn't affected him too much and he'd managed to avoid Casey on the way to the goal hoops. Cassandra, who hadn't really attempted to defend the goals that time (well, Theo's shot had been rather sneaky) it seemed, now had the quaffle, and had to pass to someone, so Celia decided that she could only try and intercept the pass to make sure the game stayed in Ravenclaw's favour. At the moment they were on a roll, and she didn't want that to slip. The game hadn't started well at all, but they were picking up, and she knew that they could win. As long as Adriahna did her best as a seeker to find, and catch, the snitch before Scott did. The Ravenclaws, although she was probably very baised, deserved to win in her opinion, as they'd lost their match against Slytherin when the game had barely got underway, yet Gryffindor had won against Hufflepuff all those weeks ago.

Melody grimaced at the consecutive series of dire events for the Gryffindor team. She'd let a Bludger through her defence yet again, and on top of that Scott had then been hit by the same Bludger ("Sorry!" she shouted to him in the hope that the loud noise would help him forget the pain and just get back to Snitch searching). Stewart, on the other hand, had managed to defend Theo (everything was going his way at the moment, it seemed), and that had allowed Ravenclaw to score. Well. How wonderful. It seemed that Rex was being about as much help as AJ had been now that he'd been put in the Beater position - despite how good he'd been as Seeker (at least in Melody's opinion), so she had no choice but to go and defend Cassandra. Melody hoped that her Captain had some strategy up her sleeve to turn the game around again. She herself tried to deflect this Bludger towards Adriahna, as repayment for the hit that Scott had sustained.

He was finally managing to tire the Gryffindor team a bit however the his last hit while successful hadn't exactly accomplished much since Scott hadn't been trying to look for the Snitch. Scott flew for that Bludger and aimed it straight at Lenora.

Cassie's stomach rumbled as the tide of the game suddenly turned. What was going on? Not two minutes ago they had this game in the bag, but now their fortunes seemed to be waining. Cass steadied herself on her broom and then pulled her keeper's gloves higher up on her arm. She looked up in time to see a bludger heading in her direction. Why had she suddenly become a bludger magnet?

Finally! The game was going Ravenclaw’s way. They were still down by 10 points, but they were in possession of the quaffle. Jasmine came down from the pitch and Adriahna made her way up into the air. It was now her job to find the little golden ball…

The Beaters needed to make sure the Seeker stayed focused for whatever was left of the game, which had been going on long enough for Stewart to think it wasn't far from over. He flew to defend Adriahna and deflect the Bludger towards Scott. he gave her a hout to make sure she knew she was under attack.
