Melody was happy that she'd defended Casey properly, and that the fourth year had managed to pick up the Quaffle (with very little opposition) as a result. She was less happy that AJ had failed to do his duty! She wasn't sure whether he'd even tried to defend Scott - she didn't know because she'd been busy defending Casey at the time. But, while Scott had made an attempt to dodge the Bludger - which was reasonably well aimed but not impossible to dodge in Melody's opinion - the poor guy had still gone and got himself hit. Melody shook her head slightly... there hadn't been anything that she could do about it - it was utterly not possible to be in two places at once.
Melody flinched slightly as she heard cussing coming from the direction she'd just deflected the Bludger in and couldn't disguise looking a bit shocked as she located its source. Melody had been quite shielded from bad language in her family where it generally wasn't tolerated - and she had hardly ever experienced it coming from any older figure she looked up to: Dana and Hebe were both given to swearing occasionally, but she couldn't think of an instance when they hadn't suppressed themselves after realising someone younger (such as herself) was within hearing distance. Melody didn't really think it was very appropriate in the middle of a Quidditch pitch. Perhaps it could be condoned if someone was in pain, but that wasn't likely to be the reason because as far as she knew Stewart himself hadn't sustained any Bludger hits.
Melody shook her head again, suddenly feeling very small and unsure. She was close to a Bludger, and really she should launch another Bludger attack, but she didn't have any idea of who would be best as a target. She supposed she'd have to send another one at Jasmine, in case Stewart managed to defend against this one - the Gryffindor Seeker had just been hit so the threat of revenge had to be there to deter the Ravenclaw Beaters from doing that again. She sighed heavily as she decided this and sent the iron ball off on another malicious course.

Argh, no!! Celia had had the quaffle, but the bludger that had been heading her way was just too fast for her, and just before she was going to shoot it hit her and the same thing that happened last time happened again-she dropped the quaffle. She cursed at herself for letting herself drop it again, so it was now loose. However, before she managed to get over the pain enough to go after it again, or let Theo know about the loose quaffle, Casey managed to get in and grab it for the Ravens. It looked as if the younger chaser was going to pass to Lenora judging from the way she was facing, so she positioned herself between the 2 chasers so she could hopefully intercept.
None of the bludgers were heading her way right now, but she saw that they both seemed to be heading for Jazz, so she called "Watch out for the bludgers Jazz" over in the direction of the captain, as she didn't want her to get hit again for several reasons (well, she was the captain, the seeker and she had been hit several times before) before returning to her main mission of getting the quaffle back for the Ravens. She just wanted the game to be over ASAP and didn't want to be hit again, or want any of her other teammates to be hit.

She got it! Lenora felt the little red ball fall into her arms with some satisfaction. Lenora sped off towards the gold hoops with all the speed her broom could muster, knowing in moments someone would be there trying to take the ball somehow. It was funny, how the six of them scrambled for this one ball, sports, go figure. But now she had it, the crowd were following her. When the hoops were right near her Lenora reached out and threw the ball with all her strength.

Aww, not again! The quaffle slipped past her fingers as she reached up to try and intercept Casey's pass to Lenora. The older girl was now heading towards the other end of the pitch where August had been waiting quite patiently for a while, but due to his lack of success defending against the goals earleir in the game Celia flew down to Madam Hooch as quickly as she could, saying that she was subbing Adriahna in as Ravenclaw keeper in place of August-hopefully she would be more successful at defending. Normally Jazz, being the captain, would tell Hooch about lineup changes, but Jazz was preoccupied with finding the snitch, so Celia took the initiative to tell Hooch herself.
Once that had been sorted she flew back up to rejoin the game, glad to see that Lenora hadn't attempting to shoot yet. However it looked as if she was about to, so Celia decided to try and steal the quaffle from Lenora, so that they had less chance of scoring yet another goal. So she flew up behind the older Gryffindor goal, and attempted to take the quaffle right out of her hands before she got the chance to shoot.

Adriahna watched the game from the sidelines, Ravenclaw were not doing too well. As she watched Celia called her in to play keeper and the Gryffindors got the quaffle. Lenora was raching towards the goal posts as Adriahna got there and dove for the quaffle she anticipated any moment now...

Melody pondered what to do with the Bludger that she was flying towards. She'd already sent two of them towards Jasmine very recently, and there was one heading at the Head Girl right now, so she didn't want to attack her again right now. She scratched her head (literally, which wasn't necessarily the wisest thing to do when wielding a Beater's bat as it meant that you had to fly without a steadying hand on your broomstick) over the problem until her eyes fell on the Quaffle-play. That was getting exciting, as Lenora was getting ready to shoot against a newly substituted Ravenclaw Keeper. Melody didn't actually know who the new Keeper was, but she did know that the older girl would be getting the Quaffle sooner or later, so she decided to hit the free Bludger in her direction.

Jamison eyed the chasers which was a quite difficult task. They were flying so fast it was hard to tell who had the quaffle and who was trying to steal it. Jamison couldn't deny that the Gryffindor players were talented, especially the chasers. But he still retained hope that the Ravenclaws could bounce back. He was determined to remain optimistic. Jamison watched the players as a Gryffindor player tried to score. He then saw the bludger that was heading toward the Jasmine. Jamison sped over as she needed to keep her concentration.

Cassie groaned. Ravenclaw had the quaffle again. She did realize that her team couldn't keep it all the time since that would make for a pretty dull game, but it always meant that the other team might have the chance at scoring. Cass braced herself for the run on her goals.

Casey shook her head. They were so close to scoring, but Celia stole the quaffle before Lenora had a chance. Casey sighed and looked up to Scott. No one had spotted the snitch yet. Jeez, how would this game go on for? Casey loved quidditch, but she was growing quite restless. Casey took off after Celia. She didn't want Ravenclaw to score again. She wanted to keep up the lead that Gryffindor already had. They could win this game. Casey knew it.

Jamison tried to gain as much speed as he could. It was hard to watch over all his team mates. Luckily, there were two beaters on a team. Having just one would make the game nearly impossible. Jamison looked to the seekers who still hadn't located that little golden ball. Jamison couldn't imagine being a seeker. It took too much time and effort. Jamison would rather just hit the bludger and that be that. Being a seeker, you had to search for hours maybe for the snitch. Nope, Jamison couldn't do that. Jamison shook his head and began to chase the next bludger.

So much had been happening in the game, and Gryffindor had seemed to be still doing alright though they weren't scoring as quickly as they had been in the beginning. Scott was starting to get quite flustered in the mix of confusion that seemed to center around the Quaffle, and he wondered more and more if Chaser really was the position best suited for him. Around that time, Cass called a timeout and decided to rearrange the whole lineup. Seeker, he thought, a wave of ambivalence washing over him. It was definitley a more secluded postion than Chaser, which fit with his personality and style of play. But then again, it brought with it such a huge bit of responsibility. Noentheless, Scott did as Cass ordered, and he took the place as Gryffindor Seeker. Now he was even more nervous than before though, since this would prove if his original Snitch cathing experience was a fluke or truly an act of skill. Zooming around the pitch, Scott worked to change his whole mindset of play as he blocked out the rest of the commotion and set his mind on one thing: the Golden Snitch. \ ((Snitch searching... sorry I have been so inactive for a while ))

Stewart tried to block out all the events of the game and concentrate on just hitting Bludgers. The Bludger Jasmine had managed to dodge wasn'to to far away, so he flew to it and hit it with all his might at Lenora.

Perhaps she'd been a little hasty in judging Stewart. He looked gloomy enough now that she almost preferred the swearing. She would feel bad now doing anything to make him slip further into despondency - even if it wasn't her own responsibility to keep his spirits up over something that was, after all, only a game. But it would be no wonder if he hated seeing the Ravenclaws he should be defending get hit... Melody hated seeing anyone get hurt (even when it was occasionally mixed with the grim satisfaction of a good tactical Bludger) and it was even worse if it was someone from your own team. Melody sighed - without orders from her captain or a suggestion of a common target from AJ (who still seemed to be as ineffective as before), she really didn't know who to hit the nearest Bludger at and she didn't put a lot of effort into racing to get there first.
Stewart sorted out her problem for her (momentarily) by hitting it himself in Lenora's direction - now at least she had something to do. But the problem, of course, came in who to try to deflect it to. Not everyone was within reach... the Quaffle was already being taken away from the Ravenclaw goalposts back down to Cassandra's end of the pitch, and Melody really was sick and tired of targeting Jasmine and she didn't want to do that again yet. Hitting it at anyone, really, seemed assured of increasing Stewart's misery (which, judging by the look on his face, would be just as cruel as inflicting physical pain on the actual person), so she decided to go for the only option she could think of that might not do that (although perhaps he was of the temperament that it still would). Much as she hated it when Beaters started attacking each other, she wheeled round to face the Bludger that she'd put herself ahead of so that she could defend against it, and tried to whack it back in the direction that it had come from.

Celia reached out to grab the quaffle out of Lenora's hands and grinned as she successfully stole it. She had the quaffle again, and hopefully it'd stay that way for a while. Or at least until she got the chance to shoot again. She couldn't take the chance of passing again-it would leave the quaffle open for the Gryffindors and she couldn't allow that to happen at this stage in the game. No, she would keep the quaffle to herself for now-however selfish that seemed-and hoped that none of the Gryffs would try and steal from her (but that was wishful thinking!). She flew to the other end of the pitch, trying to avoid Gryffindor chasers and any stray bludgers as she went.
She reached the other end, and once again faced Cassandra. She was on the ball again, so it would be hard to shoot against her. So she decided this time to fly downwards and shoot upwards from below. It would be tricky, especially as gravity was acting against her, but hopefully it'd be possible. She took aim and shot, hoping it would go past Cassandra and into one of the goal hoops.

Stewart was almost surprised when his Bludger managed to hit Lenora. She hadn't been doing anything of importance though so he hadn't helped his team much - but hey, Celia had just scored another goal. She was doing great, if only Jasmine was looking as alive as she was.... but Stewart couldn;t worry about that, it wasn't his job. He joined in the cheers coming from the Ravenclaw side of the pitch then flew towards that Bludger he'd just hit and whammed it in the direction of Cassandra.

Melody had evidently not been concentrating hard enough - while making her mind up where on earth she could hit the Bludger, she'd allowed it to go past her and it had even hit Lenora since the seventh year hadn't been able to dodge the Bludger. Melody bit her lip, disappointed with herself, and apologised briefly to Lenora. Then, with a dubious glance at her captain who had just let the Quaffle through her defence, possibly even worse than Melody letting the Bludger go through her defence since it meant that the Ravenclaws had taken back some of Gryffindor's lead, she flew off to defend Scott. She was uneasy about what Stewart would do with the chance she was leaving him with this Bludger, but there was no denying that the Seeker was the most important part of the team, especially after the game had been going on for so long and the Chasers were tiring, so she focused simply on defending Scott, and took up her old tactic of counter-attack again... if the Ravenclaws were going to attack the Gryffindor Seeker, she was going to attack the Ravenclaw Seeker even if she'd already done that many times already.

YES!! Celia grinned and vheered along with her teammates as the goal she attempted to shoot went right through the middle of the goal hoop on the left. 40-20 to Gryffindor it was now, and the game was looking brighter for Ravenclaw now. Almost at the same time as the quaffle went through the hoops, Stewart managed to hit Lenora with a bludger (and he was now aiming for Cassandra), and Jami successfully defended Adriahna from a bludger from Melody-the game was going great!
Now, Cassandra as the keeper had the quaffle, and obviously had to pass somewhere. It wasn't clear where she was going to pass straight away, but Celia prepared herself to try and intercept any pass the keeper made. Then she could pass to Theo and give him a shot at goal, and hopefully he would then be able to score a third goal for the Ravens. Celia's confidence was now a lot higher than it was earlier in the game, and if they could score more goals, and Jazz caught the snitch, then it would be great!
