Post by Professor Laryssa Miller on Jan 1, 2007 22:08:23 GMT
Laryssa was reading over her reports for the day and was well into her fifth one, when her door opened to reveal a prefect Laryssa recognized as Mackenzie Holden and two slytherin girls. Her eyebrows rose, but Mackenzie finally explained what was going on and then left. Sighing, Laryssa took her glasses off and stared at the two girls. "I don't understand what is wrong with the youth of today." She stood from behind her desk and leaned against it as she continued to stare at the two girls. "Well, you've already got a weeks detention each. What else am I to do with you? I suppose I could take points... let's see how many points does Slytherin have?" She waved her wand and an image appeared before them. It was of the jars that held the house points in the Great Hall. Clucking her tongue and shaking her head, Laryssa waved her wand again. "65 points. Minus 55 points from each of you. 30 for being in the Forbidden Forest and 25 for being out at night. That leaves Slytherin with... negative 45 points. Won't your housemates be happy?" She shook her head once more with disapproval and waved her wand again to show the jar now empty of points. She sat down at her desk again and began to read. "You two are dismissed. But may I advise you? Don't sneak out again or head into the Forbidden Forest. Rules are made for a reason."

Rachel's eyes widened as she heard the final point count for Slytherin. Hmm, I'm sure a few people won't be happy with this, she thought. She felt like she was about to giggle in nervousness, but quickly bit her lip. "I'm sorry, ma'am. Thankyou," she gave Professor Miller a brisk nod before walking out of the office. As she stood outside the door, she turned to Patrica. "Do you think anyone will know it's because of us?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.

Rachel waited for a response, but realised Patrica wasn't next to her, she was still in the office. Didn't she know that when a Professor dismissed you, you left? Quickly? Flashing an apologetic look at the Professor, Rachel re entered the office and quickly grabbed Patrica. "Patrica, I know this isn't the best situation, but you have to get out of here," she hissed in her ear. Smiling again, Rachel pulled Patrica out of the office and closed the door. She leant against the wall and looked at Patrica, trying to read her. She looked freaked out, although probably not because she was in trouble. Rachel guessed she had been in trouble hundreds of times. "Hey, it's going to be OK, you know. Slytherin's are smart - we'll get the points back. And detention will be over in a week. We just have to make sure that we always have our backs to the wall in case someone decides it's easier to kill us," she joked, hoping to get the freaked out expression off Patrica's face. "Come on, let's go back to the Common Room," she said, beginning to walk away.

Patricia walked out with Rachel, ‘I hope they don’t hate us” she bit her lip. She held her hands to gather fiddling with them. “What do we tell them, they are going o know it was us probably, after all we, did go out thee window…so Ii guess the best thing we could do now, is go back to the common room and act like nothing happened see what we get from house of slitherins.” She put hr hands down. And bit her lap and stepped. “Bloody hell,” She turned o Rachel with a worried look “we lost that much”

"Yes, we did lose that much. And yes, they will hate us. But you know, when you look at it like...actually no, there's no other way to look at it. We're about to die," Rachel said, smiling weakly at Patrica. Then she straightened up. Her house couldn't care that much about stupid house points. Oh, who was she kidding? She was in Slytherin! "OK, let's go back into the Common Room and just act like nothing happened. If they know, we'll just run. OK?" Rachel asked, trying to lighten the mood. She hated losing the points, but she also wasn't about to let other Slytherins bully her. She was a Mason, and Patrica was a Dawsinson. "Let's go, Patrica."

Patricia smiled and walked with Rachel trying to act brave “We are slytherins, we do not get pushed around…by big…mean…other…older…slytherins…” she turned to Rachel with a worried look “We are so dead!”
They walked down to the common room. They walked in and Patricia looked at all the slytherins, as they looked an her and Rachel. She acted like nothing at all happened and smiled a sweet innocent smile to all of them. He grabbed Rachel’s arm and whispered to her “ just play it cool, we are fine we are no dead yet” she said while gritting her teeth in a smile

Rachel walked in and flashed a brilliant smile at the room of Slytherins. "No, we're not dead yet. And there is no one in this room who's better than us," she said giggling. The situation wasn't really humourous, but Rachel was nervous. She knew realistically that no one in this room would actually kill them - that'd take off more house points. And they didn't really have many to spare. "So...how are we all doing?" She asked confidently, sitting down daintly. She gave them all another huge smile. No one was going to intimidate her. The only reason she was a bit nervous was because she knew what she would do to someone who had lost that many points. But Rachel would not let them scare her.

Patricia sat down by the fire. And smiled a brilliant smile to all the slytherins. ‘Yes anything we miss out on, while we were…eating? Oh yes that reminds, me you should try the pumpkin cake. It is delicious…don’t you agree Rachel?” she said with a proud smile, to Rachel and crossed her legs. This is going to be so easy she thought to herself, as she let out a soft yawn.

"Mmm, delicious!" Rachel murmured, a wicked smile on her lips. These idiots probably didn't even know anything. Why was she so nervous around them. Turning to Patrica, she decided to just pretend nothing had ever happened. "So, what are you doing tomorrow, Patrica?"

Patricia smiled at Rachel. “These idiots couldn’t tell a falcon’s head from an eagle’s head if it bit them in the bum.’’ She thought to herself and smiled a satisfied wicked smile. Then she slouched in the chair. “Hmm…. I don’ know, not much. Probably homework” she let out a sigh “sadly” she then lowered her head, as her blonde curls fell in her face. I was silent. Then she perked right up as happy as ever "But other than that nothing to important’’ she said with a happy fake innocent smile.

Rachel sat back in her chair, wary of the other students. They must know what had happened - Mack would've mentioned it. She wished that they'd get it over with. Just yell at her, whatever it was they had to do. Then she wouldn't be waiting. Rachel was strong, and she always had been, but she was also impatient. Turning to Patrica, she listened distractedly as she spoke. "Nothing important huh? Why do you think they're not saying anything to us? They must know by now - Mack definatley would've said something," she whispered, her dark hair falling in front of her face. "They're Slytherins - you'd think they'd say something," she said, sitting back in her chair and staring at Patrica.

Patricia leaned in to Rachel so the other slytherins couldn’t hear her, if they were listening. “I don’t know, even if they do know. They might not, they might. There is no way of knowing unless we ask them.” Patricia once again put her hands behind her ears, and bit her lip. "If they do know, than why aren’t they showing their anger? But why wouldn’t she tell them? That is the question.”
Patricia stood up and began to pace. Maybe they are planning something she thought, after all they are slytherins and they are sneaky. Maybe the plane is big, or simple. Like giving them the silent treatment. It was possible she thought. And slytherins are smart but not smart enough to lose more points just to get them back. “That would be bloody stupid.” She said out loud and began to pace more while bitting her nail
She than sat down by Rachel. “Why don’t you try to talk to one of them. See if they answer you” if they didn’t answer rachel it was clear they were giving the silent treatment, and if they did, they either didn’t know or…. they didn’t know

Kee had lingered in the hallway between the common room and the dormitories long enough to see the Prefect yell after them and then go after them. A satisfied smile crossed her face before she turned on her heel and entered her dorm. She made her way to her bed and flopped down on it while pulling her diary from its hiding place. A muggle pen was hooked onto it which she pulled off. She opened to the nearest blank page and began to write. She hadn't been writing long when all conversation in the common room seemed to die away. Kee raised an eyebrow, placed her diary back in it's hiding place, and made her way back into the common room. She leaned against the wall as Rachel and Patricia lied through their teeth. That satisfied smile still on her face, Kee watched them take their seats and then start to become paranoid. As Patricia began pacing the room, Kee stepped forward.
"I wouldn't worry too much. No one will notice anything until a notice is put up or they see the jars in the Great Hall. How much did you lose? Well, I suppose which professor she brought you to. They all have different point lists you know. If you lost 25 or 30 for being in the Forest you're lucky, some are known to take 50 or 55. I'm sure you also lost points for being out past curfew as well. If only you had listened and stayed with me. You wouldn't be afraid you had Slytherin on all your hides." Kee raised her eyebrows and then sank into an empty chair, waiting for them to say something nasty to her. Whatever they said, it doesn't matter. Kee wasn't the one who lost points for Slytheirn.

Patricia whispered to Rachel “well we know she is pisseed’’she whispered between gritting her teeth and smiling, referring to Cherokee. She stood up and walked over to Cherokee. “Well you are just going to have to find out tomorrow exactly how many points we lost, now arn’t you love” she said mocking her.

Kee smirked and tilted her head to the side. Patricia honestly was phony and Kee could see that. She was certain Rachel could see it. Rachel wasn't dumb, however, it appeared that Patricia was. "Well, if I really wanted to wait, love, I could. Or I could just ask you which professor Mack took you to and go off that. Of course, you wouldn't know that. You also wouldn't know that half of the people in this common room wouldn't care less how many house points you lost. If you lost five points, they would still be angry at you. You see, Slytherins might be spoiled, or bratty, but there is one thing a Slytherin never is, is a troublemaker.. or if they are.. they don't get caught. And you two call yourself true Slytherins. You, love, wouldn't know a true Slytherin if it bit you in the bum." With that said, Kee stood from her seat and stretched.
"Well, then, I'm off to bed. Pleasant sleeps everyone." She smiled once more at Rachel and Patricia and made her way back into the dormitory.

Patricia stood there. She could tell that Cherokee was extremely jealous of Patricia, and a sweet grin spread across her face. It was funny. ‘’One more thing love…’ Patricia turned around to face her, stopped and held her hands. “If you really wanted to know how many points I lost…your right, you could have asked me, which teacher we were sent to. But who is to say I would tell you… and one more thng…i have it on good authority that TRUE Slytherins… are NOT goody too shoes’’ she smiled a sweet smile. “So sweet dreams love, don’t let the bed BUGS…. bite” Patricia glared At her with piercing evil eyes, if looks could kill Cherokee would be dead.

Rachel rolled her eyes before placing her hand on Patrica's shoulder. "Cherokee's right, Patrica. I was being reckless, and I got caught. Not very intelligent. But one mistake, never happened before, never will happen again. Have a good night, Cherokee," Rachel said, smiling at Cherokee's retreating figure.
"There's no point taking it out on Cherokee," she whispered to Patrica. And Rachel knew Cherokee was right - she wasn't being a great Slytherin when she got caught. But, as she had said, it had never happened before, and it would never happen again. She was a troublemaker, but she wasn't stupid. Rachel would turn this around; she knew her worth as a Slytherin, and she was determined to make sure everyone knew it as well.

Patricia turned to Rachel “well i admit it was pretty stupid to get caught. But I have never gotten caught before, and I was in a pretty bad mood to day with my parents and all so I wasn’t thinking Cleary. And it was pretty bloody well stupid of me if I do say so myself, but she didn’t need to butt in like ht, especially today I am not in the mood.” She sighed, and putts her hands on her on top of her beautiful blonde curls and looked up and shrugged with worry “what will my father say if he found out”

Rachel smiled patiently, because replying. "He can't do anything too bad - I mean, a week's detention? He won't take out out of school for a crime worth a week's detention. And yeah, it was stupid of us. But we won't get caught next time," she said, winking. Then, Rachel laughed. "I can't wait until my parents find out. They're going to get mad at me, then apologise profusely, and by the end of the week I'll have a new diamond necklace," she laughed, her voice flat. "Ah well, who cares about parents? Let's worry about them tomorrow."

Patricia smiled at Rachel, “I like diamonds…but you don’t know my dad…when he is mad, he is mad and anything can set him off’’ Patricia put her head down almost about to cry but then stopped and sniffled a little and looked up not wanting to look, week in front of Rachel and the rest of the Slytherins
