Patricia smiled. And put the picture back with a flick of her wand. Then she looked at Cherokee.
"Yeah what did you do Cherokee?" she asked with a fake smile to seem a little interested, even though she really wasn't.

Kee listened as the two talked about things. Though she was paying attention she wasn't taking much interest in anything. She hadn't bought Patricia's stupid excuse of a lie for her bruise, but it wasn't Kee's place to say anything. If Patricia wanted to lie about things, that was fine as long as it made Patricia happy. Kee let her foot bob up and down as she listened to the two talk. Patricia even brought down a picture to show. Kee looked politely and offered Patricia a smile, but other than that she wasn't too interested in anything. It sounded like she had a normal holiday at home with family. As did Rachel's. When they both asked what Kee did, she shrugged. "I suppose I've been having a good holiday. My brother is really the only one who is worth mentioning in my family. My parents are worthless and they believe I can be won over with gifts. So they bought me a bunch of useless things that I will never get any joy from." Kee fidgeted in her seat and lowered her eyes to her bracelet, a small smile on her face, "My brother, however, got me a wonderful bracelet." She unclasped it from her wrist and held it up for the girls to see. It was white gold with emeralds woven into a beautiful braid.
After a couple of moments, she placed it back on her wrist and shrugged again. "We had Christmas supper, opened gifts from our grandparents and then went to bed. When we woke up in the morning, there was a feast awaiting us, and we opened gifts from each other. It was a usual Christmas and to make it even more mundane my parents sent me back here for the last couple of weeks of holiday." Kee smiled softly. Rachel had said something about how it was peaceful, and Kee agreed, though silently she thought it was much more so when Rachel and Patricia weren't around. Kee could then lie in the dorm all night and do nothing but write. With them around, there was no such thing as privacy.

Patricia smiled and nodded. And listened, nicely. “Wow,” she said while leaning back in the chair putting her hands behind her head. “Sounds pretty normal if you ask, me. As was all our holidays I guess.” She said and sat back up taking Cherokee’s wrist to admire the bracelet. “But, Cherokee, That is a beautiful bracelet, if I do say so myself. I love it. What is it 14 karat, 16.” She then released her hand and relaxed in the chair. “It sure is beautiful.” She stopped staring at the bracelet and glanced over at Aurora, who was still off in here own little world. “Is she? I mean. Hello!!!…. Ow... never mind, she isn’t paying attention” she said while as if almost shewing Aurora but not literally. “It is amazing how we have never even said one word to each other all these years at Hogwarts. I mean, I have seen you guys before but I have never actually thought to talk to you. So what are your guy’s classes? I swear I must have one class with t least one of you.” Patricia said while putting her leg over the other, hugging her knee, sweet and angelic like.

Rachel looked around the room in disinterest. She was beginning to get bored. These girls were interesting only as long as she was expecting something new; Cherokee's plan, Patrica's truth, but now they had just succumb to small talk, and Rachel found it hideously mundane. She looked at the bracelet and smiled her approval, but couldn't really be bothered saying anything reassuring. Rachel watched in mild amusement as Patrica tried to get Aurora's attention, before asking them what classes they were in. Deciding it was time to be blunt, she leant forward. "To tell you the truth, I don't really care much for classes. The exciting things are what happens after class. In fact, if you guys wanted to do something really fun now, I could probably arrange something," she said, her eyes gleaming. Rachel was in the mood for some fun.

Patrice stopped to think bout what Rachel said. She agreed, it was after all pretty boring hanging in thee common room, night after night. Patricia beamed very unhealthy evil glare. She put her head down, while putting her blonde curly hair behind her ears, once again exposing her bruise without knowing it. She leaned in closer to the girls and eyed Rachel and Cherokee. She whispered, low and satanic… “Ever been to the forbidden forest?” she asked with eyes of gleam

Kee just listened. That's all she did. She didn't even comment on Patricia talking about her bracelet. Nor did she comment when Patricia asked about classes, Kee had to keep herself from laughing at her. Didn't she know that all Slytherin third years had the same classes? That's how Hogwarts was run. Each house was split up into years and those years went to class together. Now, once a student hits their sixth year, they can choose their classes. That or they are rather intelligent like Hermione Granger had been. But then again, Kee didn't say anything. She didn't need to say or do anything. Because Rachel soon became bored and offered doing something against the rules. Kee raised an eyebrow. She really couldn't afford to do anything so stupid if she was aiming for that Prefect rank in her fifth year. And she very well was. Her brother had been a Prefect, her mother and her father had both been Prefects. She felt it necessary to continue on the line. She wasn't about to throw all that away because of some petulant girl.
Shaking her head, Kee stood from her seat, "Actually, I would rather not venture in the Forbidden Forest nor get caught out past curfew. Call me a goody two shoes all you want, but I have a goal I want to achieve in my coming years at Hogwarts and I'm not about to throw it away because you two are dreadfully bored. I'll be up in the dorm," Kee turned to Aurora, "You're welcome to join me if you wish, all of you are, but I have a feeling that you two, Patricia and Rachel, would rather get in trouble than stay on Snape's good side." She smiled once more for them and then made her way back into the dormitory.

Rachel smiled as Cherokee went on about not wanting to join them. "That's OK, you don't have to come if you don't want to. And yeah, I'd much rather have some fun than stay on Snape's good side," she said, smiling sweetly. Cherokee would just slow them down; she was too good for Rachel. And Rachel didn't want anyone messing up the good time she was about to have. "Forbidden forest sounds good, Patrica. Let's go," she said, smiling wickedly.

Patricia smiled at Cherokee, as she stood, up. She was a little appalled what she said, but didn’t take it to heart. "Suit yourself, love, after all you wouldn’t want to put a mark on your perfect record, now would you love.” she said smiling at Cherokee like an angel. She turned to Rachel, “So how are we going to get out of hear?” She asked looking out the window. “And we also need to be back at a certain time, when we return. So we won't get caught.”
She stood up and put her hands on her hips while biting her bottom lip. Thinking, she paced back and forth. “Hmm…. well if we could just get outside, without being scene…any idea’s?” she turned to Rachel.

Rachel smiled, biting her lip as Patrica spoke. This girl was not bad at all - in fact, she was turning out to be pretty worthy. Not as well bred, or generally, as perfect as Rachel, but she was alright. A bit dumb, but she was fun.
Following Patrica's line of gaze out the window, Rachel laughed. "Well, if we're going to the Forbidden Forest, we may as well do it in style," she whispered, her hair falling in her face. Sitting up straight, she walked over to the window. Turning to look at the other students, she mentally assessed them. They were all idiots, in her opinion, other than Aurora who was alright, so they wouldn't suspect anything if she was smart. Opening the window gently, she flicked her hair as a gentle wind blew in. "Oh, that breeze is lovely!" She declared, winking at Patrica. Then leaning forward, she gasped. "Oh my goodness, I dropped my ring! The really expensive one Daddy gave me," she whimpered, realising as she said it someone might come to her rescue. Thinking quickly, she turned around and spoke loudly to Patrica, ensuring everyone could hear. "But I think I can reach it, if you help me, Patrica." Motioning for Patrica to join her, she pretended to reach forward, and delicately tumbled out of the window, trying to not giggle. "Ow, that was stupid," she laughed when she fell on the soft ground. Reaching up, she glanced through the window to see if anyone missed them. A few students were staring at her in amusement, and she brushed herself off. As long as they thought she was just another stupid girl, everything would be alright. "Clumsy me! But at least I got my ring. Are you hungry, Patrica? Let's go to the Great Hall," Rachel said, walking briskly away, smiling as she headed towards the Forbidden Forest.

Patrice smiled as she fell out the window and landed gently. “Ow my goodness. How clumsy we are.” She laughed. “Hold on, now we wouldn’t want to walk, to the great hall. That would just be horrible on my new shoes.” she smiled. She turned to Rachel. “Lets arrive in style.” she winked.
She blew a huge whistle and a broom came flying through the window, “STOP” she ordered the broom, and it froze in the air right in front of her. “It is a new Scarlet Hawk 5000…my father bought it for me, this winter break. But sometimes it doesn’t listen and flies elsewear…without my orders. Like…perhaps…the forbidden forest” she winks at Rachel. And hops on the broom.
“You can either get yours, or ride with me. Your choice” she said while sitting on the broom waiting to fly off

"Hmmm, nice," Rachel said looking at Patrica's broom. It was quite good - not as nice as Rachel's, but still, pretty good. In fact, very impressive. Rachel laughed, enjoying herself. Patrica was actually really fun, and in the kind of way Rachel appreciated. She wasn't at all like those cronies Rachel normally had around her, who wouldn't know the meaning of fun if it bit them in the bum, and Patrica had just enough adoration for Rachel without it becoming boring. "Well, I don't suppose we could say that both our brooms could fly elsewhere without our orders, so I suppose I'd better hop on," she giggled, hopping behind Patrica on the broom. "Oh dear, I really hope we get to the Great Hall quickly, we wouldn't want to be late for dinner," she said, widening her eyes innocently, before grinning wickedly. "Let's go, Patrica."

After Rachel hopped on the broom, Patricia glanced up at all the other Slytherins, and smiled a wicked smile. She looked, back at Rachel, “Brace you love!” She kicked thee ground, and they went sorring “Oh great it isn’t listening again” she yelled as she swerved and twirled to make it look believable. “Oh no! The forbidden forest. Oh dear” they flew over by the forest, and soon as they were out of sight. Patricia stopped in the air about 100 feet. She could touch the top of the trees. “They are such idiots,” she said with a laugh. “So wear to now?” she said turning back to Rachel, with happy grin across her face.

"Oh no!" Rachel cried, as the broom suddenly went "out of control". "The Forbidden Forest! Oh, why Broom! Why!" She cried, then doubled over laughing. They were soaring over the forest now, and completely out of sight. Patrica was right, the other Slytherins were idiots. Rachel leant forward. "There's a small clearing just on the right of here, why don't we go there?" She suggested. Pointing to the small area where there weren't any trees or bushes, she felt a tremour of excitement. Rachel knew if they were caught, then there would be a bit of trouble. Alright, a lot of trouble, she thought. But when had that ever stopped her before? She let out a squeal of excitement. "This is the best night ever!"

Patricia nodded and headed for the clearing. She landed and hopped off her broom, she looked at Rachel “And they say all the Gryffindorks have the fun” she laughed, an evil chuckle and ran in the forest. “Come on Rachel” she called after her. While she rushed in, she saw the trees that went up for miles and miles. And the mause on the ground, that moved and the trees seemed to be alive. The trees spiked out like demons on branches but she loved it. It felt like home, to her for some strange reason. She held her broom close, then whipped out her wand. And it produced a ball of glowing light from the tip of it, she held it out. She loved doing this, disobeying the rules. She missed it. She felt her Slytherin bloodline kicking in at the moment. She smiled a demonic smile at Rachel.
“So enjoying yourself, much?” she asked her, while beginning to walk.

Rachel smiled as the soft wind lifted her hair gently as she ran into the forest. Finally, she felt alive. Patrica had pulled out her wand, and Rachel watched in amusement as she produced a glowing ball of light. Rachel spread her arms out and began dancing, laughing. Flashing a grin at Patrica, she lifted her eyebrows suggestively. "Yes, I'm enjoying myself. Except it's no fun to be in the Forbidden Forest if all we do is dance in the clearing. Let's take advantage of this situation...let's do something positively wicked," she said, letting the last word hanging in the air. She didn't know exactly what she wanted to do, but she had to take advantage of this freedom. "What should we do, Patrica?" She asked, her eyes gleaming. Rachel had to admit it; Slytherin's were the best friends in the fun stakes.

Patricia held out the wand for light and thought about it. The moonlight was shining down on her blond curls and produced a white reflection of her creamy skin, almost as snow, she paced while biting her bottom lip. She always did that when she was thinking. “Hmm…well, now if more people were with us, I could think of some damage. But….” She sat down on rock and thought, when a black and brown spider crawled over her shoe. “Spiders” she whispered, and smiled.
She tilted her head to the left softly and looked up with an evil smile, but yet completely innocent, and angelic “Rachel?” she stood up and the wind pushed he curls from her face exposing her paleness, and her bruise once again. She walked over to Rachel. “How do you feel about spiders love?” she asked with a twisted smile.

Mack was tired and aggravated. Another day traveling the corridors and another day of dealing idiotic Gryffindors. All Mack wanted to do was get into the common room and relax. Possibly work on some lyrics. She needed to do that if Tommy was goingto continue to be her producer. Mack had kind of fallen out of the music scene a bit. But school called, and Tommy should know that school came first. Except he made it seem like he didn't. Sighing, Mack entered the common room. There was a group of third years and one of them was telling the other two she would rather not break the rules. Great. A mini Prefect. The girl went upstairs and the other two ended up climbing out the window and flying off with a broom. Just what she needed. Heading toward the window, she leaned over the sill and hollered toward the retreating broom, "That was such a horirble act!" Then turning on her heel, she stalked out of the common room, up the flights of stairs and out toward the grand double doors.
She followed the broom and then the sound of their voices. They had entered the Forbidden Forest. Sighing with even more agitation, Mack continued to follow their annoying titter as she found their hiding area. She let them talk a moment and then stepped forward, her wand illuminated. "You two better come with me." She glared at one of the girls, who she recognized as Rachel Mason and then shook her head in disgust. Motioning for them to march out of the Forest, she waited until they were both in front of her.
((For future reference, don't sneak out. You will get caught. Oh, and, the Slytherin Common Room is in the dungeons... there are no windows.. because it's below the lake.))

((oh right haha forgot about that :-P OK, Rachel won't sneak out again thanks )) Rachel was about to reply to Patrica when she saw Mack barking orders. She widened her eyes as a thousand thoughts rushed through her head. Rachel wanted to ask Mack if Dixie was OK, she wanted to tell Mack why she was in the Forest at all - the real reason, and she wanted to apologise for being stupid, but instead she just lifted her chin definately and marched in front of her, flashing a look to Patrica. "We'd better go, Patrica. I don't mind breaking rules, but even I have my limits," she whispered, trying to pursuade the other girl. The thing about Patrica was that while she was fun, she acted out in pure rebellion with no limitations. That was dangerous, and even Rachel, as defiant as they came, knew when to stop. Lifting her voice, and trying to make it easier for Patrica to accept that they did in fact have to go, she leant forward. "Don't worry, I've got something fun for us to do when we get back," she whispered, before straightening. She kept marching. At one point, trying to act like she didn't care being caught by Mack, she let out a laugh. But she kept marching.

Mack raised an eyebrow at Rachel, "Make sure to head straight to Professor Miller's office. As a Prefect I can't deduct points, but I can however take you to Miller who can." She didn't know why she had chosen to take them to Professor Miller, perhaps because she was the professor who handled detentions. She also seemed to be the toughest professor around aside from Snape. For some odd reason, she didn't feel like taking them to Snape, perhaps because she knew he would be angry at her as well. Snape was weird that way. They made their way back to the castle and opened the door for them to get inside. Walking down the corridors she was silent, but she made sure they were going in the right direction to the Professor's office.
Once there, Mack knocked gently and then pushed open the door. "Professor? Sorry to interrupt. But I caught these two sneaking out past curfew and I followed them to the Forbidden Forest and I thought I would report it to you. I've also assigned them detention for a week. Perhaps you would do what you wish with them." Mack smiled and then gave one more look to Rachel before leaving the office.

Rachel watched sadly as Mack gave them to Professor Miller. She didn't care that she had been caught, well, she cared a little bit, but to be caught by Mack was almost too much. The one Slytherin she looked up to was staring at her in disgust, and she lowered her head. Before Mack could walk out the door, Rachel stepped forward. "I'm sorry, Mack. I really am," she whispered. She wasn't sure if Mack could hear her or not, and she hoped Patrica didn't hear - she didn't want to seem weak to the girl, but she needed Mack to know she was sorry. And Rachel had to ask herself, why? Why did she care if Mack had caught her? Mack didn't care. Rachel hoped Mack didn't care. She didn't want her hopes raised again.
Lifting her head, she stared at the Professor.
