Kiani sighed as the Professor chose her. She was now extremely doubtful about her answer, though she spoke loudly and clearly, her voice echoing around the bored room. “Some Gods from Norse mythology: Loki, who was nasty and had many wives and children. There was Odin, Lord of War, Death and Knowledge. Thor, the God of Thunder, and Freya the Goddess of Love, Fertility and Sexual Desire.” Here Kiani stopped, took a deep breath and continued in an almost robotic tone. “There are many more. The meaning of Ragnarok- supposedly means the the doom of the gods.” Kiani finished slowly, looking intently at the Professor as she finished. Had she got it right? She wasn’t sure, though didn’t really think so. She didn't usually speak up in class unless she was certain of the answer, and in History not even then. By that time she was most likely asleep or getting to it.

Kris listened rather attentively to what the younger Slytherin answered to make sure he wouldn’t repeat what she already had said. Which didn’t turn out to be such an easy task at all. She said a little about anything, but didn’t really explain anything fully. “Norse Mythology as it is comes form the Scandinavian countries – Sweden, Norway, Denmakr, Finland mainly. The gods already mentioned lived in Asgard – the realm of the gods, but they could cross the rainbow bridge to get to Midgard – the realm of mortals. Odin also had a lot of help from Valkyres - maidens who chose which warriors on a battlefield would be slain. They also served mead in Valhalla where the brave would go after death. However Ragnarok is a bit more complicated than just the Doom of Gods. The beginning of Ragnarok in some translations has already taken place and it was called upon by Loki, who wished for more power and to overrule Odin, who had made Loki his blood-brother. As for Ragnarok it’s supposed to bring three ice ages that will bring by other signs as well. For example the cocks crowing would be one sign. The Fire Giants would come out form their resting place as well as the Frost Giants who would arrive on a ship made of the nails of dead men. And the following events would make Asgard and the rule of gods grumble. All of this is written down in the Eddas.”
Figuring he had said enough and that Binns could alwyas ask for more information Kris turned his head engaging Cleo into a quiet conversation again.

"Very good both of you! Excellent answers!" Binns nodded to the class and started his regular lection over the importance of mythology, gods and goddesses telling the class lots of intersting facts as Binns got enchanced by te topic and the speech he was giving himself. The loud ring of the bell shook him out of his reverie and Binns nodded to the class. "I am expecting a table about comparison of the names of GReek and Roman gods who rule over the same thing. For example Zeus and Jupiter make up one of the required 10 examples you are to make. And for 2nd part of the homework I'm expecting an essay about 1 of the Greek gods to be handed in next class. You can leave now." Not waiting for anything more Binns turned and floated through the walls towards the teachers lounge once again.
((Now for the essay I expect the MINIMUM of 175 words. And please read through the text you write. If I see ANY essay that is straightly copied from a page found at google-search I will not be giving any points for such copies. Homework is to be sent to me by the midnight of 14th December.
This class is now officially over. Thank you to all who came. And everyone who answered a question have been awarded 10 points, except for Danielle, who answered only half-way correctly and gets 5 points.))
