After class Elizabeth walked down to the courtyard seeing it was sunny and warm out and it was a great chance to just think and get it together.
Elizabeth sat down by a shady tree, and closed her eyes and relaxed, listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.
While Elizabeth sat there she wondered if there would be another day just like this, where Elizabeth and her sister could just be back home swimming in their pool or riding bikes.
Suddenly Elizabeth got this strong urge to write a story, it was a perfect day to write. Elizabeth took out a pen and paper and started writing.

Brooke sat on one of the benches in the courtyard, bored out of her mind. She had done her homework, finished reading Teen Witch, and painted her finger nails. And now she couldn't think of anything else to do.
She uncrossed her legs and started bouncing them up and down. But she quickly got bored of this and recrossed them irritably.
She needed something to do or someone to talk to or she thought she might go mad. Just then she saw a fellow Gryffindor sitting by a tree.
Brooke stood up and quickly walked over to her.
"Hi," she said, taking a seat next to her. It was only then that she realized the girl was writing something.
"Oh I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?"

Elizabeth looked up when she heard someone that was obviously talking to her, for there was no one else around.
"Hello, and no your not interrupting anything" said Elizabeth.
"My name is Elizabeth, what's yours?" asked Elizabeth trying very hard to make conversation.
"please sit down if your not in a hurry" said Elizabeth while gesturing towards the tree.

Brooke smiled and leaned back against the tree. This really was a nice place to sit.
"I'm Brooke," she said, "and I'm most definently in no hurry at all. Just the opposite actually, but anyway, tell me about yourself. I need to make myself familiar with my fellow Gryffindors, don't I?"

Elizabeth smiled and thought for a while. "Well I have a sister named Michelle and a cat named Spooky. My past is really complicated and I don't think you wanna hear about my boring past. I love to write as you might have already guessed and I love doing magic."
Elizabeth thought about what else she should talk about. "Katie talks a lot about you and from what I've heard you like pranks." Elizabeth smiled at Brooke and knew that if she was friends with Katie, they would become friends right away.
"So... what else are you into besides pranks?" Elizabeth looked at Broke and smiled.

At the mention of pranks Brooke grinned. Lately, that had been at the front of her mind.
"Well," Brooke started, "I also have a rather strange and twisted past that no one seems to want to explain to me, but anyways. I love to dance. I've been dancing since I was like two years old. Like at a studio, you know? My mum's friend, Rachel put me in classes. But anyway, I like to travel. I've been all over the world in the past few years. I lived in London until I was five and then in New York for two years and then in the last year of Rachel's auror training I lived in Moscow. Then after that we lived the next two and a half years in Paris, Bejing, Rome, Caracas, Toronto and Cairo. I've been to a few other places, but none as long term as those. Then this summer we moved back to England."
Brooke paused for a moment thinking over what she had just said.
"But I like normal stuff too. Shopping, eating, guys, manicures, magazines, guys, money, candy, guys, the color pink, ice cream. . . oh, did I mention guys?"

At the mention of guys Elizabeth laughed. At her old muggle school she was always daydreaming about guys. MAny of her books were about young lovers.
"Do you currently like anyone? because if you tell me who you like I'll tell you who I like, but you'll probably laugh!" Elizabeth wondered.
" and have you heard of the American singer Usher? I love him!"
" I also lived in America for a few years in Ohio because we have relatives that live there." Elizabeth waited for her reply and smiled.

A mysterious expression washed across Brooke's face, almost as if she was thinking too hard. She had been to Ohio once that she could remember, and she could hardly remember it at all.
"Ohio, huh? I've been to Ohio. In fact I'm going there Christmas Eve. And yeah, I've heard Usher, he's cool. I think Rachel has his new CD. She's a pureblood and so am I, but we have so many muggle contraptions," Rachel shook her head and sighed, "Muggles are cool, though. I have a few muggle friends here and there. As for who I like. . ."
Brooke bit her lip and blushed slightly.
"You wouldn't know him, but I have this pen pal. He goes to Salem Institute. He lives in New York and so I see him a good bit. What about you?"

"Salem institute... isnt that in Massachusets?" Elizabeth knew she had heard of that somewhere.
" Me, I like... You're going to laugh at me!" said Elizabeth. She was now blushing so much that her face went red. "I like... R-ron Weasly." Elizabeth whispered.
Elizabeth started laughing and couldn't stop, when she finally snapped out of it she said "You probably think I'm such a loser." Elizabeth smiled and shook her head at herself as if she didn't quite belive it herself.

"Yeah it's in Massachutes," Brooke said, curling her legs up underneath her in her 'secret hearing position'.
Brooke gave a girly giggle as she heard who it was Elizabeth liked, but then frowned, "Why does that make you a loser? I mean, is there something wrong with him that I'm not aware of?"

Katie was just walking from the libary. She was confused about many things. Jordan said that she will ask her brother to adopt her so she wont live with her father. She might be Jordan sister!
As Katie reached the courtyard she notice Brooke and Liz. She smiled at them and walked over and sat down next to Liz.
"You like Ron. Man he hates me now for playing that prank on him." Katie said with a chuckle. She gave him that candy that can make him have pimples.

"no, i said that because you know and I know that I have no chance with him because he's a 6th year and I'm a lowly 1st year, I didn't really mean I was a loser." Elizabeth added as she looked down at her knees.
"so anyway do you have a pet?" asked Eizabeth anxiously. Elizabeth loved animals and wanted to know what Brooke thought.

"Hey Katie," Brooke said, before turning her attention back to Elizabeth, "I see now. Um, I have an owl. Her name is Gabi, actually it's Gabriela, but I call her Gabi. She came as a gift for me before I started Hogwarts. I don't really know who from, though."
Brooke bit her lip and thought back to the day she got the owl. She reached her hand into her pocket and fingered the letter Gabi had brought. She always kept it with her for some reason.

"That's cool" Elizabeth said thoughtfully. " what else do you want to talk about?" asked Elizabeth.
Staring up at the sky and thinking how nice it would be to go for a swim. As she stared she noticed a cloud that looked like her cat. hmm she thought that's something you don't see everyday. Elizabeth started daydreaming about Ron as she waited for Brooke to answer.

Katie looked at Brooke she knew who she liked it was so easy to tell.
"Oh snap out of it Liz I know who you like he wont like you. Sorry to tell you this but he is a sixth and I dont think he will like you after my little harmless prank." Katie said trying to smile. She didnt mean to snap like that but it seemed the truth. She knew Harry wonted like her he was already in love with Julie.

Brooke's mind was elsewhere and she was trying hard to stay down to earth. If only Christmas would come sooner.

looking up Elizabeth said "Excuse me! I wasn't even thinking about him! your just jealous because he might just like me and he dosn't like you!" yelled Elizabeth as she came out of the trance.
Elizabeth hated yelling at Katie like that, but it wasn't fair Katie was popular and Elizabeth wasn't. Yeah Elizabeth likes Ron but that was none of Katie's buissness.

Katie than was shocked and looked at Brooke and Liz. She took a deep breathe before saying anything.
"Liz I am not all poplar. I had a bad life behind me. Before i even came here i had no friends and no mother. You can like Ron but just be careful he might now like you." Katie said before talking about her life.
"I used to live in New York than I moved to London because my dad got a better job. Just a few months ago my mother died leaving me with my father." Katie said holding back the tears. She spent so many lonlely nights back at home in the lonely manor.
"My father hates me and I hate him. After my mothers death he wanted to give me to the orphange but the butlers said they could take care of me. Well they didnt do a good job of it. They left me alone and i was lonely for many nights." Katie said as a tear went down her check. She than wipped it away and looked at them.
"I just wont to live away from my father......" katie said trailing off. She didnt feel like telling them Jordans offer.

Brooke's mouth almost dropped open. But she held it closed for the sake of her friend.
"Oh, wow. . . well that sure beats the heck out my past, I think," Brooke said, not exactly sure of what to say, "Um, why does your dad hate you, if you don't mind my asking, I mean."

"He wasnt ready to have me and i am nothing like him. He wonts me to be smart and continue a muggle education." Katie said closing her eyes.
"Liz I am sorry I yelled at you but I am not that Poplar." Katie said stilling closing her eyes holding back the tears. The imgaes came back in her mind about all the things that have happend to her over her past.
