Kiyla looked over at Katie. She sighed.
"Well i guess, guess, i can sing..." Kiyla said slowly.
"I don't know... no one has ever heard me sing before." Kiyla added with a shrugg.

Katie smiled at Kyila. She was an okay singer she didn’t really think she wanted to be a singer when she was older.
"Do you mind singing right now" Katie asked Kyila to see if she really can sing.
"I can play the music and you can give me the song" Katie asked with interest.

Kiyla opened her mouth embarrassed.
"Are you serious?" She asked her in disbelief. She had never had anyone ask her to sing before and even if she had... she was sure she didn't sound too well.

Katie smiled she knew everyone can sing. Her mom told her that and taught her how to sing the proper way so she won’t get vocal nodes.
"Just take a deep breathe and think of the song you are singing and it will take you away" Katie said smiling at Kyila.
"I know you have a good voice I really wont to hear it" Katie said looking up at Kyila as she stared in shook at Katie.

Kiyla shurgged thoughfully. She sighed.
"Well i do like this one song but I'm not so sure if you can play it on a guitar..." She said eying Katie's guitar.

"I can work with it I took My Immortal which is a piano part and I changed it to the guitar so what’s the song"
Katie asked as she played her some notes.
She stop and pulled back her long brown hair out of the way before looking at Kyila.

Kiyla nodded. She wondered if the girl even knew the song.
"Well it's called, Weak by an older group called SWV... my real mum used to sing it too me all the time. I remember her an-" Kiyla said starting to tell an old memory but stopped realizing she was about to do.
"Well yeah. I don't know if you know that song... i can sing if a capella if you want me to... i don't want to but if i have no choice.. i don't mind..." She said with a shrug.

Kyila was right she never heard of that song before.
"Okay you got me but go right ahead and sing it" Katie said still holding her guitar.
She loved holding her guitar it made her feel special. She than looked up at Kyila ready to hear her sing.

Kiyla bit her lip and nodded. She closed her eyes and visualized her room. She opened her mouth and began to sing.
"I don't know what it is that you've done to me...

Kiyla kept her eyes closed until she got finished singing that last note. She had only sang the first verse and the birdge but that was enough. She knew she didn't do all that well but she figured it was okay enough. She looked at Katie.
"Well there you go." She said with a shrug. "Not the best but.. whatever."

As Kyila was singing Katie started to play. She was also very good at the melody of what people sing.
As Kyila ended Katie looked at her dazed.
"Oh my gosh that was so good its better than my voice could ever be" Katie said smiling. It was true she could not sing.
"It looks like you found your talent" Katie said smiling once more.

Kiyla felt her cheeks go warm.
"Yeah right. I can't sing that well. I bet you sing better." Kiyla said with a small grin.
"You are a pretty good guitar player." Kiyla said.

Katie also turned red. She thought Kyila had such a good voice she just needed the confidence.
"You have a great voice Kyila I don’t know what you are talking about" Katie said smiling.
"You just need more confidence and believe that you can" Katie said taking a deep breath.
"It’s like my mom always says you never know what you have until you use it" Katie said smiling. She loved that quote her mom said to her when ever she tried to give up.
Katie than started to play more still looking at Kyila.

"I suppose." She said. She sang softly to the melody that Katie played. She as the music stopped she smiled at Katie.
"So have you been ouit here all this time playing music?"

"I can’t play all day but it’s good to have company" Katie said smiling.
She started to hum to herself thinking of her new song.
"Darn it I forgot my song book in the common room" Katie thought in her mind.

Katie looked up at Kyila.
"I don’t have a name for it yet only a couple verses down" Katie said continuing to play her music.
She took a deep breathe and started to sing.

Kiyla smiled wartmly at Katie.
"Girl, you are gifted and talented. You are a wonderful singer and a wonderful songwriter. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, not even yourself." Kiyla said in a stern voice. She smiled reassuringly at Katie.
