Cassandra sat at the Three Broomsticks sipping on a Butterbeer waiting for her new friend. She had never been to Hogsmeade before, and she was already astounded by the many shops and places that were there. OH, and on the plus side, she didn't get lost! It was really amazing that she came down her alone. Three years ago, she was so frightened of other wizards that she would never of left the castle without a teacher. But, here she was, sitting in the Three Broomstricks waiting on someone to go shopping. She really needed a new robe, and she would was really dying for a new pair of jeans! However, she really wasn't sure if muggle clothing was really accessible here.
She looked around the restaurant and just let it all sink in. She was actually with other witches and wizards, and they weren't looking at her funny. They just went about there own business and ignored her. She thought they would know she was a muggle born, and shun her before they knew her name. It was quite a relief.
" Another butterbeer, please," she told the waitress and continued to wait for Dana.

Dana glanced at the clock, after coming out of the shower and picked up the clothes to wear to Hogsmeade quickly. Deciding finally on white jeans and a dark-blue silk-blouse that made her eyes seem even bigger and more deep. Dana pulled on black heeled boots. Dana grabbed a small bag and throwing her black winter-cloak with silver lining at the collar and sleeves and hem on her shoulders left the dormitory. She grabbed a toast and an apple from the breakfast and headed out to get to Hogsmeade with one of the carriages, as she was supposed to meet with Cassandra – a third year Gryffindor – for some shopping.
Reaching the Three Broomsticks Dana noticed Cassandra almost immediately, as she was ordering some butterbeer from a waitress. Dana waved to Cassandra and made her way towards the other girl, sending a biting remark over her shoulder to some guy, who whistled after her. Dana laughed and shook her head as she reached the table Cassandra was at and smiled at the waitress: ”Make that two butterbeers.”
As the waitress left Dana grinned at Cassandra slipping into a seat opposite of her after slipping her winter-cloak off: “Hi, the day seems absolutely marvelous and I couldn’t ask of a better company for some shopping. Do you mind if we stop by the book-store as well? They let me know they know have the book on ancient charms from Russia and I’d like to buy it.”
Dana looked up and nodded a thanks to the waitress as their butterbeers were brought and took a sip, before continuing: ”Other than that I want to find myself a new dress, although some new items in my wardrobe would never hurt. How about you – hunting for something special?”
Dana shook her head once again with a grin: ”Sorry, if I’m babbling. I’m just in a great mood.”

" That would be great to go to a bookstore! I absolutely love books, especially science fiction and fantasy! But, I guess fantasy wouldn't be to fantasy here. I really would like a new pair jeans, but I'm not really sure if you can find those here. I've always wanted a blue cloak as well. I don't really have anything other than my Hogwarts cloak, and I really get sick of wearing it out," Cassandra just went into a barrage of an answere.
Cassandra certainly hoped she looked the part of a teenage wizard. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans with a nice hole in the left leg, a black sweater, and some black boots. And of course, you couldn't forget her good old Hogwarts cloak. Since she really didn't live in a wizarding community, she never really invested in the things that made witches and wizards look the part. She had told her mother about her little shopping adventure today, and was told to have and to not worry about what she spent. They would make sure she was taken care of for the rest of the semester. Cassandra's parents were not very well to do , but they were very supportive of her becoming a part of the wizarding community.
Cassandra finished up her butterbear rather quickly. She was very excited about this trip. Spending almost two years locked inside the castle was enough to get excited about just going shopping. " Well, whenever your ready?

„Muggles do have great books. It’s somtimes funny ot read htem, as their fantasy is quite close to our reality, but still – there are great writers among htem,“ Dana grinned – her grand-parents had one of their 6 book-stores in the muggle-world, so they sold muggle-books, „Actually some squibs have made fortunes appearing as muggle-writers and as muggles think it’s all fantastic, the squib just writes what he knows.“
Dana answered standing up having only half-finished her butter-beer but really wanting the rest right now either. She dropped some coins on the table, to care of the bill and guided Cassandra out of the Three Broomsticks: „Yeah, let’s go. The bigger things to watch around here are Honeyduks, Three Broomsticks certainly, Zonko’s is rather popular, and the Owl’s Emporium. Then there’s the book-store and some other pubs and an apothecary, should you ever run out of som inderigent for Potions. And of course the clothe-stores.“
Dana pondered about Cassandra’s question for a moment: „Jeans – yep, they are sold here. A store specialized for muggle clothing has the biggest choice. And I doubt that the cloak would be a problem.“ Dana smiled entering the book-store as the little bell over the door ringed silently. Dana sent Cassandra a small smile and browsed the isles quickly, thumbing through some ook on the go. She only took on e book about old Celtic legends and myths with her before going to the counter and paying for the book as well for the Ancient Charms book form Russia.
„It will take some time to translate it. I don’t usually have to read Russian in such context, so I’m more used to every-day speech,“ Dana remarked to Cassandra joining the other girl as well while flipping through the book quickly before placing it in a bag she had gottne with the books. The bad had a carry-all chamr on it, so Dana swung it back-and-forth easily, „Did you find anything of intrest or shall we go and see what Hogsmeade can do for our wardrobes?“
Cassandra hungrily looked at the many aisles of books. She really wanted to get a book on dragons. She knew that was probably insanely typical, but she loved to read about them. Even when she was younger and did not know anything of the wizarding world, she loved to read the many stories of dragon taking over the world and making it there own. The humans fighting the omnipotent creature as they struggled for their very existence. It was quite disappointing when she arrived at Hogwarts and learned that they were nothing more than beasts. She so hoped she would find one hoarding gold in their cave as they talked to their mininons about taking over the world.
She quickly found the section on the bestiary and found several books on dragons. She found two that she found interesting by the cover and purchased them.
When Dana offered to go to the clothing store, she was very excited. She hadn't brought many clothes with her to Hogwarts this year,so; she found herself wearing her school uniforms more often than not. " Of course, I'm ready. Shopping for clothes is the best part," she smiled and giggled as she headed toward the clothing store.
She was really going to need her opinion in there, she tended to make horrendous fashion decision sometimes.

Dana glanced at the books Cassandra had bought and laughed as they almost dashed towards the closest clothes store in their anxiety. Dana pulled the glass-door open and motioned Cassandra to go in front of her, before following herself. “I doubt we will find jeans here, but they seem to have cloaks,” Dana said glancing around and pulling out a red top and examining it quickly, before deciding it wasn’t worth it and putting it back.
Dana looked wandered around the store and found a gray mini-skirt that was made from jeans-cloth. Dangling the skirt in front of her Dana pondered whether or not she liked it enough to buy, but decided against it still. Moving towards where Cassandra was, Dana shifted through the racks there: “Found anything interesting?”
"Aah, I need new gloves," Dana exclaimed happily taking a step left and picking up a pair of black leather gloves with a silvery decoration on the back of the hand. Dana wasn't usually very fond of black, but the gloves matched her cloak and weren't very expensive either, so she held them in her hand and smiled at Casandra: "Just found something for myself!"

Cassandra eyed the cloaks on the racks much like a drill sergeant would inspect his new recruits barracks. She eyed each one for the color combination, the type of adornments on it, and the length. She finally pulled a blue velvet cloak out with a silver satin lining. " Ooh, isn't this so pretty, Dana!" she exclaimed. There was very intricate trimming in gold and silver on the edges of the cloak. It fit like a normal trenchcoat would, and had a hood on the back of it. She tried it on and found that it was a perfect fit. As she continued to rummage through the many racks, she also found a black satin coat as well. These should do to get me through the rest of the year, Cassandra thought to herself.
Looking through the regular clothes racks, she continued to find herself leaning to the regular old sweaters she normally wore. Black and red in color mostly. She wanted something exciting, something daring, something....like this!
Cassandra pulled out what almost seemed to be too revealing, but on closer inspection she found that it wasn't. The white shirt was in this gossamer, sparkly looking fabric that seemed to flow a little at the bottom. The sleeves belled out at the bottom and seemed to point at the end. The neck scooped real low in layers at the top. It was one of those shirts that would almost make a girl feel like a princess. " Yes, this is a must!" she said to herself.
She looked to Dana to nod in approval to her selections. But, then she found the cutest black shirt she thought would look perfect on her friend. The form hugging shirt satiny looking shirt seemed to almost look like it was made for her friend.
" What about this Dana? How do you think this would look on you?" she held up the shirt for her friend to see.

“A princess blouse. Those are so cute,” Dana said smiling at Cassandra’s choice and eyeing her cloaks briefly, taking them in, “They don’t suit me though. Not my appearance or my character. A shame really.”
Dana eyed the shirt Cassandra held out for her and took it in. “Black satin – not my favorite fabric. Too picky, but the blouse is nice,” Dana muttered thoughtfully accepting the shirt and examining it critically, “Well, I won’t know how it will look on me, until I try it on, right?”
Dana send a smile to Cassandra and left for one of the dressing cabins, where she slipped into the shirt, tying the laces that held the blouse together at sides as well as decorated expertly. The blouse was form-fitting and felt nice to the skin, as well as enchanting Dana’s body, hugging it adoringly, so Dana decided to buy it even before stepping out of the dressing-cabin to show Cassandra how it looked.
“You have a good eye, you know that? I woulnd’t have noticed the blouse myself, but I’m going to buy it now,” Dana told Cassandra spreading her arms and turning around slowly, showing the blouse. Dana walked back to get out of the shirt and then paid for the blouse after Cassandra.
“Let’s go see what other places have to offer,” Dana told Cassandra with a smile as the girls excited the shop and started to move along the street. There were some apartments in between, which they passed chatting with each-other. “This one has the widest selection of jeans. Some rather nice every-day clothes as well,” Dana said as they came to the next store and entered it.
Looking around Dana shifted through the many racks displaying different jeans, holding three different ones up. “What do you think of these?” Dana asked showing the jeans to Cassandra – one was a regular pair, one was tight hip-huggers and the third pair was form-fitting and the one Dana liked most, “Or have you found something interesting?”
" Oooh, I like those hip huggers!" Cassandra exclaimed. Cassandra quickly found a pair in her size and tried them on. They were th perfect size and fit.
" These are a definite!" she exclaimed. She also found a pair that had a dragon wrapping around one leg. She found those too adorable and had to get those.
After busheling through several stacks of jeans, she found at least 5 pairs.
Going through the stacks she did find a cute pair of khaki green pants that she thought would look great on Dana. She handed them to her and said, " These would look great on you."
They were a bit of a cargo pant, but without all the pockets. They were just baggy enough to make you look like you were hiding a wand. Well, you were usually hiding a wand.

Dana glanced at the green khaki pants Cassie showed her and shook her head: “No, I’m not sure about that. I don’t really like cargo-pants and they look a little bit too short for me,” Dana argued with a shake of her head, “I think I’m going to buy this pair though.”
Dana raised up a pair of light-blue jeans with small water-droplets at the end of the leg’s part. The jeans would hug one’s body as a glove and it also had a blue scarf made of string tied together according to a certain pattern and also holding charmed water-droplets, which didn’t change their shape. “This scarf will look perfect, if I tie it around my hips with these jeans,” Dana said presenting the pair to Cassie, wanting to hear her opinion.
“I also like this blouse,” Dana commented pulling a blue and red checkered blouse that reminded her a bit of country-style. The blouse was made of cotton and despite it being rather large, it would hug a girl’s form nicely. “Love the dragon,” Dana admired the pair Cassie had chosen and touched the head of the dragon fondly with one finger.
Dana roamed more around the store, heading to the jumpers and sweaters and blouses. Skimming through the many racks Dan pulled out a soft white V-necked jumper that would look marvelous with the pair of jeans. Before displaying a horrendous looking neon-orange jumper and eyeing with a soft giggle. “Well, it would certainly catch attention and should I ever wander around some dark high-way, then this will work better than any cat’s-eye! Or what do you think?” Dana presented the jumper to Cassie.

" Put the jumper down," Cas said as looked at it in horror, " That is definetly not for you. I don't thinks its for anyone. But I like the white one. You definetly need the white one," Cassie was starting to have not a lot of luck. Couldn't figure out why, but there was no luck.
She was throughly frustrated at the way things were going. She always hated it when she couldn't find clothes. She really only set out to buy a cloak, which she did find, but she really wanted something nice.
Suddenly this Tunic jumped out at her. It was a light blue color with a lot of bead work. It kind of looked like something a fairy would wear. It was very pretty and very feminine. She picked it up to show it to Dana.
" You like? I like," Cass went back to the dressing room and tryed it on. It made her look like a....girl. She wore a lot of jeans and t-shirts, but usually not anything that was girly. She came out of the room to show Dana.
"So, good, bad, or ugly? You can break it to me."

Dana laughed at Cas’s horror at the jumper and put it back. Turning to browse the other racks Dana turned around as Cas asked for her opinion about a tunic she had tried on. “Not bad. Not ugly. But it’s not really good either,” Dana made a circle around Cas admiring the tunic, “Fantastic or marvelous would probably fit it better. It looks absolutely dreamy on you. You just HAVE TO get this one.”
Dana let out a small whistle and clapped: “First time out and we have a winner!” Grinning Dana shook her head, pushing her hair back: “If we talk seriously now again though, than I absolutely love it on you. Certainly worthy of buying.”
Dana glanced around the store – they did have some dresses and skirts but really something a bit more formal: “You have a very good eye. I don’t think I’ll find a dress for me in here though.”
" Yeah, I think this is played out," said Cass. She strode over to the clerk and began to pay for her items. She swaggered as she carried her parcels to the door. " You know, since we're buying all these trendy clothes, we might as well buy some stuff that we know will get us out of these trendy clothes. Zonko's anyone?"

“Out of these clothes? Not in public please!” Dana laughed and waved off some curious glances they got from a couple of guys that had heard that statement, “Come on. Zonko’s that way. Personally I prefer the stock that the Weasley twins have thought up, but Zonko’s is pretty good as well.”
Dana steered Cassandra towards Zonko’s which was pretty full: “And we have to stop by Honeydukes as well. Chocolate is an absolute necessity for a girl sometimes. Don’t you agree? Especially if guys seem like idiots. I like them most of the time, but sometimes they just…” Dana rolled her eyes and didn’t finish the sentence, being quite certain Cassandra would be able to finish it herself.

(( OOps, I meant Honeydukes and mentioned the wrong store! ;D The joke was supposed to say to go to Honeydukes and get some chocolate so we wouldn't fit in these clothes anymore! I'm so sorry. WE will continue with this thread though. I just wanted tell you that so you didn't think I was wierd or saying any bad jokes or anything!:
Cass walked into Zonko's and looked at the many shelves of quality Zonko's products. Fireworks, dungbombs, and jokes supplies covered the walls. Cassandra immediately walked to the wall full of Fillibuster Fireworks and began to sort through them.
" Honey, I completely understand about met. You can't live with them, and can't live without them. However, I do like Pyro. He's so adorable.," Cass inhaled her breath quickly realizing what she had said and blushed immensly, " OH, my god, I can't believe I said that."

((lol… well, that’s an amusing mistake ;D))
“Well, a lot of times they do make our lives easier, but sometimes... bleh, I have to wonder what goes on in their heads,” Dana rolled her eyes and looked at some package that was supposed to have some purple and pink polka-dots appear on your skin and put it back with a raised eye-brow. She really wondered about the sanity of the people who thought these pranking stuff out.
“Pyro? Oh, you did say it, honey, no doubt about it,” Dana grinned moving next to Cassandra and smiling slyly as Cassandra smiled, “Well, he isn’t too bad, isn’t he? Don’t worry – he’s too young for me.”
Dana picked up a piece of Filibusters Fireworks and examined it with only half of her thoughts, as her attention was pointed towards Cassandra rather: “I am having a small party for friends on Valentine’s day. Authorized by staff. Pyro is coming, so you want me to set something up?” Dana added with a wink, “A lot of guys are thick enough, so you have to give them a little push. And girls have to stick together – so if you ever need any help – jut let me know!”
Cassandra blushed even harder. Harder than usual. She had never really gone out with a guy before.
" Well, I don't know," she stammered a little as she dropped the fireworks on the floor and she heard one of them pop off in the pack, " Wouldn't that be wierd? A Gryff and a Slytherin? The tend to be arch enemies you know."
Cassandra stammered again and smiled," But it would be nice. Oh my god, what would I wear?! And, I would have to do it behind everyone in my house's backs probably."
Then Cassie's eyed became more focused and she said, " Oooh, but the challenge...."

“So who cares about your houses. It’s not like we’re going to get Malfoy and Potter together,” Dana fell silent for a moment, then shivered, “A scary thought actually. Although they both do look cute. A place to rest your eyes on.”
“What you’d wear,” Dana grinned wickedly and grabbing Cassandra’s arm, dragged her out of the Zonko’s, “Don’t worry about that. You - none of the guests will really get much of a saying in that. Me neither for that matter, but I’m not telling before the party.”
Dana winked slyly and dragged Cassandra into Honeydukes: “But we can have some chocolate and sweets and have a girl’s evening at school, where we can spoil ourselves and talk about guys and enjoy ourselves.”
“Your house’s reaction. Now that might be a problem,” Dana slowly let out a long breath, “Well, Gryffindor is known for their braveness. And I could play a shield-cover for you two – I’ll pull my cousin and a friend in as well. They both know Pyro and will help.”
Dana picked up a basket and threw some chocolate frogs and some of Honeydukes best in it: “You two would make a lovely couple though.”
Cass thought about the idea of Malfoy and Potter....and quickly had to get that out of her mind.
" Yeah, they are the brave ones, but they are the pigheaded ones too," said Cass as she threw a package of Bertie Botts in the basket.
A Valentine's day party, with a Slytherin at that! She would never admit this to anyone, but most Slytherin's scared the ever loving daylights out of her. She just could just see them looking at her with their muggle-born hating eyes. She felt like most of them could see right through her skin into the the very heart of her soul and knew every secret she ever kept. But, Pyro intrigued her. She still remebered him throwing that snowball at Dana and hopping down in their conversation. She hated him, but she was intrigued. He didn't seem like the rest of them. He acutally seemed, well, cool!
" I would really like to go with him, but I have this horrendous fear of rejections as well. But, if you think you can do it, go ahead! I need all the help I can get some times."

“I’ll think of something,” Dana said with a slow nod as a plan started forming in her mind already. Dana glanced at Cassandra and hesitated for a moment, “I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get you two coming together, but I’ll get you together at the party.”
Dana glanced at Cassandra and bit her lower lip, hesitating a bit. “You won’t be affected by his house, won’t you? I mean there are surprisingly nice Slytherins. Mary. Pyro. My cousin – Kris. He’s a fifth year and actually more of a brother. The Sorting Hat thought about Slytherin for me as well for a moment.”
Dana grinned and picked out some sugar quills: “And if you have a fear of talking to boys or eve n feel you need practice with flirting. I’ll borrow Kris – he will behave nicely and will help you around. He has a talent for saying the exact right things if you need someone to cheer you up.”
