" I honestly don't know if I'll be effected by his house. I mean, most of the people I've met from their have been really rude. My first day here some Slytherin decided he didn't like me and put a Bat Bogey hex on me. I didn't come out of the Hospital Wing for a week! It was terrible. But, sure, if I met some nice ones it would be completely different. I mean, Pyro and I didn't get off to a very good start anyway. Ooh, Snickers...." Cassandra saw something shiny and became distracted.
" You know, I've never been really good with guys. And practicing wouldn't be that bad. It might be fun! But, I don't want to become the end of the joke though."
Cassandra looked at Dana, " Slytherin, huh? I was almost put in Ravenclaw. It was really wierd, he was pretty determined on Ravenclaw, and then I had a stray thought. He suddenly said Gryffindor out of his mouth. I always wondered what changed his mind?"

“There are nice SLytherins. Pyro. Mary Evans. Kris Graas. Tehre are some more as well – I just know those three best. Mary and Kris are basically family,” Dana smiled thinking of her friends. Actually they were both more like a brother and sister for Dana.
“As for guys. Well, I didn’t get much attention from them until last year. And this year – well, I’ve had a lot of flirting practice this year. I don’t know. After a while it just comes naturally,” Dana threw some swiss chocolate into her basket, “And it’s a good thing I’m not very shy either.”
“Well, the Sorting Hat seemed rather nice to me. So it must have seen something incredibly noble and brave deep in your heart,” Dana moved to the counter to pay for the sweets.
“Oh my! Look at that dress!” Dana gasped as they excited Honeydukes and Dana noticed a dress on the window of a new boutique that had just recently been opened in Hogsmeade. The dress was a mixture of blue and silvery-gray – the end of the skirt was silvery and from there silvery vines with small leaves and blossoms moves upwards towards the waist, getting rarer as they climbed higher and giving room to blue. The dress had two thin straps going over the shoulders and the upper part of the dress would hug one’s body nicely. As from waist the skirt fell freely and had a rather long slit on the left leg. The dress was a masterpiece and in the colors that would match Dana’s eyes and bring out her tall and slim body as well as her slightly toned skin in the best light possible.
Dana admired the dress standing in the middle of the street, paying no attention to the people moving pass her. “What do you think of it?” Dana asked turning a bit hesitantly towards Cass. Dana liked the dress, but she wanted one more opinion about it.

" It's gorgeous!" Cass was flabergasted. She really didn't like things like that, but Dana would good it in." You've got to try that on!"
Cass hurried into the boutique. It was quite cozy in the store, with a bit of a cinammon smell to it. She quickly went to the rack where the dress was on display and quickly handed the one in Dana's size to her.
" You've got to try this one. I simply won't take no for an answer."

Dana laughed and followed Cass into the boutique, taking her size of the dress from her and moving into the dressing room. Slipping into the dress quickly Dana twirled around the floor-length mirror examining he dress. It brought out her curiously-colored eyes and made them seem even bigger than they actually were and the dress really did bring out the best sides of her figure. And even though the slit on the left leg reached mid-thigh easily, it looked rather nice as well – it was teasing, but still remained classy.
“I think I rather like it,” Dana said stepping out of the dressing –booth and glancing at the price-tag, raising an eye-brow. For the cost of the dress she could buy two or three others, but she simply loved this one already. And I Cassandra would approve Dana would buy it. “Think there are any shoes to go with it as well? Or do you think I shouldn’t get it. Look around some more?” Dana asked the last question a bit hesitently, wondering how the dress looked to someone else.

Cassandra scrutinized the dress like scrutinizing a new car. She walked around it eyeing it for dents or dings. Making sure it was the perfect fit.
She knew she took terribly too long.
" I love it! It's perfect for you. However, I'm not sure about the shoes. I'm always hideous at picking out shoes and socks. I just can never match them very well," Cass headed over to the shoe section, and found a pretty pair of silver strappy sandels.
" Try these with it! I just hope your good on heels. I'm not."

Dana had already started to worry, when Cassandra scrutinized the dress and so when she gave her approval, Dana burst out laughing. “Oh, these are lovely,” Dana sat to try to the shoes on which was surprisingly easy and stood up to walk around a bit, while doing an imitation of Snape towards Cassandra and mimicking the greasy-haired professor tone of voice, “That is absolutely idiotic thinking of you, miss Logton. 5 points from Gryffindor. How could you ever think that moi – being French, haven’t been raised on heels?”
Dana couldn’t go on anymore and let a giggle escape her mouth as she walked back to the dressing-room to get the dress off. “I’m good with heels. My boots have heels as well,” Dana stepped to the counter and handed the dress and shoes to be packed as she paid for them, before turning towards Cass again: “But I am French, mon amie. I’ve been wearing heels since I was barely a teen-ager. Luckily I love them, but I’m rather good with them, after having years of practice.”
“Thank you,” Dana accepted the bag with the dress and shoes and stepped on th street before doing a small twirl, “I’m glad I found a dress for myself.”
" I'm glad some people in this world are. I get tripped up in sneakers," she led the way out into the street. Hogsmeade was a really neat place. She could get into a lot of trouble here. She really did enjoy the shops. It had been so long since she had been shopping, and just getting away from the castle for a little while was able to lift her spirits a little. With her arms loaded down with stuff, she perused the street. She looked and started to realize it was getting a little late.
" So, want to run to Madam Puddifoot's to get some coffee?"

Dana laughed: “Well, I don’t have perfect balance. But I usually fall only when I’m trying to read at the same time I’m walking. But that doesn’t make the Hogwarts floors any softer.”
Madam Puddifoot’s – dAna grimaced. She had been there with Kris the last time and madam Puddifoot had been near hysterics, when Kris stated that their cappuccino sucked. Madam Puddifoot had been insulted, but only ended up in hysterics after Kris had made a cup for them himself and it actually was better than the regular in madam Puddifoot’s coffee-store.
“Sure. I could use a cup by now,” Dana answered and they started down the street, “A mocca-cake perhaps as well? Although I better avoid ordering cappuccino – and when he stated hteir cappuccino sucks and made a better one there himself, then madam Puddifoot ended up in hysterics.”
Dana shook her head with an amused grin: ”But I have to admit it was amusing to watch their banter. And the cappuccino did suck, although I’m not as picky as my cousin.”
Dana entered the coffee-shop and ordered a mocca coffee and a slice of chocolate cake and moved to a nice cozy table near the corner and window. Glancing outside Dana noticed it had started snowing lightly and it looked absolutely fantastic. Dana too a sip of her coffee and smiled as Cass sat down at the table as well, “I’ve really enjoyed today, you know.”
Cass sat down and quickly ordered a hot chocolate. The day of girl bonding had been fun, and really this was the first she had adventured out of the castle to Hogsmeade.
She put the cup to her lips and took a sip of the drink. Weak, she thought to herself.
" Yeah, I defiently enjoyed myself today. We do need to do this again sometime," and she added in a whisper," and he's right. The hot chocolate is weak too!"

Dana burst into giggles as Cass said that the chocolate was weak again. Collapsing on the floor in a helpless pile of laughter, Dana drew some curious glances and it took a while for her to calm done. Finally being able to control herself Dana shook her head and leaning closer to Cass, lowered her voice to a whisper: “I don’t think we should let madam Puddifoot know it just yet. I wouldn’t want to cause her to have chronic hysteria at Hogwarts students entering her store.”
Dana let one more chuckle escape her mouth and leaned back in her chair: “Yes, we definitely have to do that again. How do you feel about girl’s nights? I should really treat myself to one – a facial, paint and manicure my nails and just pamper myself. Ahhh, I’ve missed all of those things. Maybe we’ll hold one sometime.”
Cass had never been much of a girly girl but she was willing to give anything a try.
" Yeah, that would be great. A nice facial would do wonders. I haven't had one of those in a couple of years. I don't think I've ever had a manicure before in fact. I used to always play sports with my cousins and could never keep my nails long. If I did, they would break."
She took another sip of the cocoa and made a face at it.

“That’s what is so great about being a witch. You can cast a charm on your nails, so they won’t break while at sports,” Dana said with grin, “I don’t pamper myself like that very often, but from time to time it’s absolutely marvelous. I was a some-what of a tom-boy when younger as well and I still enjoy sports. But who says I can’t look my best while at it?”
Dana grinned and leaned back in her chair leisurely while picking up a dessert-fork and starting eating her chocolate cake: “As far as I can see, there is nothing that will stop me from being ‘girly’ and do whatever I want what the same time.”
Cass snickered to herself.
" I was a tomboy the day I was born. When I was a little girl, my mother would put me in dresses and I would take them off. There is this one story about me when I was 3. I apparently tore one of my dresses off during church. I never believed me when I heard this, but my pastor later confirmed the story. It still embarrases me to this day."
She loved the bonding time she was having with Dana. It was nice to be able to talk to a girl that seemed to understand her. MOst Gryffindors would rather vociferize about their most recent act then listen to what you had to say.
