Ivy smiled quietly at Amelia. Maybe it was time to retreat into her shell again. After all, she had to see her father this afternoon. And she would be showing him the magical world for which she had sacrificed so much. Would he think it was worth it?
"You said you dance," she said, deciding to move the conversation on. "What sort of dancing?" she asked, hoping that she wasn't going to be struck down if the answer was blindingly obvious.

Amelia smiled, feeling special that Ivy wanted to know about her.
"I dance Jaz and Ballet mostly, and then I do dance some Hip Hop," she said, "Do you dance?"

Ivy smiled shyly at Amelia.
"No, I don't dance." Ivy said, wondering if the line of conversation she had picked would now kill all conversation as she revealed she knew nothing about it. "I used to do ballet, when I was little - but not anymore."
Ivy bit her lip, standing there awkwardly. She hoped that Amelia would not find her too boring.

Amelia shrugged, "Some dance, some dont!" she looked to her mother, who was stadnign there looking very bored. Amelia rolled her eyes and sighed.
"Okay mother... lets go get our books," she said, smiling slightly. Her mother laughed and nodded.
"Ok let's go!" Sherrie led them out of the Quidditch store and toward Flourish and Blotts.
"so anyway, i love dancing, I do write short stories some times..."

Ivy jumped, realising that she had been rude by almost forgetting that Amelia's mum was there. She hoped this would not make her think less of her than she must already do. Considering her unruliness earlier on in the day.
"Do you?" she replied, musing. "Yes, I used to... but not anymore." Ivy blushed. She could never consider her stories anything but useless.
She was glad to go into Flourish and Blotts. She could have spent a whole day in there. As well as parodies of famous Muggle books, which Ivy really enjoyed reading, there was wizard fiction and also lots of books about fascinating subjects. Ivy loved it in there for this reason.
It was crowded inside, and she found herself in danger of losing Amelia and her mum. Eventually a large, burly man pushed through and she got swept along with the crowd. She had completely lost sight of Amelia. Ivy struggled against the crowd, but it was fruitless. In the end she managed to escape to a quieter area, where the Mythology books were. Now she was able to stand on tiptoes and finally spotted Amelia.
Ivy forced her way through the crowd (something she was not accustomed to doing), having to resort to elbowing a little. This was the reason why in a way she hated going to Flourish and Blotts at this time of year. But it was the only choice she had. Finally she found herself by Amelia and tapped her on the shoulder, at the same time getting jostled by a spoilt looking young boy.
"Sorry!" she said, a little out of breath. "It's so chaotic in here." Ivy looked around. "Now, what books do we need?"

Amelia soon noticed that Ivy wasn't behind her. She grabbed her mother's arm and looked around the crowded room with worry.
"Mum, were's Ivy!" she said looking around more. Sherrie looked also, and being slightly taller than all the kids in the store she spotted Ivy rather quickly.
"She over there honey, looks like she's coming this way. Don;t worry hun." Amelia sighed and waited for Ivy to come. Soon a tap on her shoulder anounced that Ivy was back.
"Don't worry," Amelia said with a comforting smile, "It's all good," she then looked down at her list to answer Ivy's quiestion. She sighed and just handed the parchment to Ivy.
"We need all of those," she said pointing at each book title

Ivy peered down, embarassed, at Amelia's book list. She hadn't brought hers with her, which was a bit stupid, but there was no point in worrying about it now.
"Oh gob", she said, looking at the massive list of books. Some of them would be really expensive, too. She would have to draw on the reserve bank account a bit.
"Are you doing all the subjects I'm doing?" Ivy asked Amelia. She couldn't be sure, and otherwise would be a little stuck as to having the right books for some subjects. "I'm doing...um..." Ivy paused to think, giving an embarassed smile. "Um... Divination, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy too, Astronomy, and I think I may be doing History of Magic and Mythology. Plus all the usual stuff." Ivy hoped she didn't come across as a swat. She definitely wasn't one. She did fairly well at school, but you definitely couldn't describe her as a swat.

Amelia had to think for a moment... what was she taking?
"Well I know theres all the regular stuff... then Divination and Astronomy. Um.. i think there's Muggle Studies and i know there's Care of magical Creatures... i think that's it," she sighed, and shrugged.
