Caiest looked at her watch it was midnight. 'perfect.' She thought smiling and getting up from her chair in the common room. She was bored and really needed to practice. Since she didn't really enjoy company while she was practicing she'd decided to wait till everyone was asleep. Grabbing her bag Caiest walked to the edge of the portrait hole and checked once more that no one else was up. Satisfied that no one would be waking up she left the common room and began her search for an empty classroom.
After about ten minutes of searching she found what she was looking for. The room looked like it hadn't been used in years and judging by the dust build up on the desks it probably hadn't. Caiest set her bag on the ground and cleared the desks away with her wand. Then cast a silencing ward on the room. She didn't want to wake any teachers or alert any other insomniacs to her presence. Satisfied that she'd done all she could to ensure her privacy she put her wand away.
Caiest took off her robes and folded them neatly placing them on her bag. After doing that she pulled out a necklace that had a small human figurine that looked like a fairy on it. The fairy had inscriptions on its face and arms. She wasn't sure what the language was but figured it was probably egyptian as that was where her parents had been when they sent it to her. Taking off the necklace Caiest set the little figurine on the ground in front of her and pocketed the chain. Backing up ten feet Caiest said an incantation and almost immediately the figurine began to pulse and it grew before her eyes till it was her height. The figurine twisted and began to mutate till it took on her form. The only difference was the runes on the dolls forehead and arms.
This was one of the more useful things her parents had ever sent her. What was standing before her was called a golem. It was a figurine that could almost become human. It talked, breathed, even fought though it couldn't bleed so therefore it wasn't alive. It was basically a living doll. Caiest loved it and it was her most prized posession. She wasn't sure how her parents had gotten it or why as they normally only sent her useless boring things such as spell books, gems, artifacts, and the occasional necklace. 'They probably didn't know what it was.' She thought savagely as she withdrew two daggers from her bag.
"Here you are Sennie." She said handing the golem a dagger. "Are you ready to fight?"
Sennie accepted the dagger and turned to face Caiest with a grin. "I'm always ready the question is are you?"
"Of course I am." She said with a grin to match Sennies before going into her fighting stance. She looked at the golem in all seriousness waiting for the golem to make the first move. After about two seconds Sennie attacked. Caiest dodged the golems attack and tried to get in one of her own only to have the golem block it. This went on and on, Sennie attacking and Caiest blocking. After 10 minutes of this Sennie managed to get a good shot in and ended up slicing Caiest's shirt blood blossomed where the dagger had struck.
After about 20 minutes of blocking Caiest began to get bored and changed her method from just blocking to attacking. Sennie went to attack from the right anticipating her move Caiest ducked to the left and slashed downward. The dagger hit home and sliced Sennies shirt as well. "Now we're even." Caiest said grinning before resuming her attack. After an hour had passed of the dagger fight Caiest called an end to their duel. Sweating and bleeding Caiest said the incantation that caused Sennie to return to her figurine self and she tucked the necklace back down her shirt before putting the daggers back in her bag. Walking over to one of the abandoned desks Caiest sat down and layed her head on the desk trying to catch her breath so she could duel again.

Cass was walking down the hallways. It was really late, and she doing everything she could not to attract attention. With her luck as of lately, Filch and his cat would find her.
She passed what looked like an empty classroom and swore she saw a flash of light come out of the window in the door. Odd, what would that be so late at night, she thought to herself. She heard what she thought was a desk scraping the ground.
Her good old Gryffindor pride kicking in, she pulled out her wand and opened the door. There's a difference between being brave and stupid Cass. she said to herself. This is stupid, you need to go get a teacher.
The door creaked ever so slightly, and she poked her head in and saw the girl in the desk. She looked about her age. She could also see the blood on the desk where she was bleeding.
" Oh my god, are you alright?" Cass rushed over to the girl to make sure there wasn't anything terribly wrong with her.

Caiest groaned when she heard someone enter. She'd really hoped that no one would find her in here as she wasn't really the sociable type. Plus she really didn't like to fight in the precence of others and she really needed to get in all the practice tonight that she could considering the immence amount of homework she'd put off so that she could practice tonight.
Caiest raised her head a few inches off the desk to see who had spoken and noticed a girl about her age standing over her looking worried. At first Caiest couldn't fathom why until she realized that she hadn't cleaned herself up before she'd rested. Mentally cursing herself Caiest rose from the desk and grabbed her wand. "I'm fine." was all she said. She used a simple cleaning spell to clean off the blood from around the wound and off her shirt before putting the wand back in her bag and sitting down atop a desk.

Cass looked at the girl oddly.
" Okay. Your okay?! Not to be rude, but you look far from okay. You should at least go to the hospital wing to have that looked at," Cass looked at her. She sure was strange.
" What are you doing in this old classroom. By the looks of the dust, there have been two people in here tonight. There are definetly two sets of tracks in the dust."
She pointed to the small set of feet marks and the larger set.

Caiest sighed and hopped off the desk. She could tell by the girls tone that she thought she was odd. "I don't need to go to the hospital wing I've had worse injuries before." She said walking over to her bag. The girl had pointed out that there must have been two people in there. She was more perceptive then most also more nosy and her parents wondered why she was such a loner.
Caiest took off her necklace once again. "You might want to move back a few feet." Caiest said not even looking up as she set down the figurine.
Caiest took out the daggers from her bag and walked back over to where she had stood before. She still payed no attention to the other person as she said the incantation to bring Sennie to life. Just like before Sennie changed from the figurine to herself. Caiest handed the dagger to Sennie before finally acknowlodging that Cassandra was still in the room.
"Here's the second 'person.' Now if you don't mind I need to practice some more so if you'd like to stay you may just don't get in the way. You may also leave if you'd like though Sennie and I would both appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone about this." Caiest said and turned back so that she was facing Sennie again.

Cass jumped at the sight of the.....well, she didn't know what it was.
So the obvious question came out of her mouth. " What is that?"
She stared in almost horror and the gigantic thing that had just grown out of a necklace.

"I don't appreciate being called a 'thing'." Sennie said looking offended.
Caiest looked over at Cassandra. "This is not a thing her name is Sennie and she's a Gollum. You do know what a gollum is do you not?" She asked pocketing the dagger and watched Sennie copy the movement out of the corner of her eye. It was obvious that the practice would have to be put on hold for the moment.

Cass looked at the.....Sennie. She looked at Sennie. " No, I don't know what a Golem." She really just kept staring at the Golem in utter shock and amazement. Everytime she thought she had this wizarding thing figured out, she had another surprise pop out at her.
She took a couple of steps closer as if to get a closer look at Sennie.

Sennie looked a little uncomfortable at being scrutinized so closely. She walked closer to Caiest so that she could whisper in her ear. "Caiest she's scaring me why is she looking at me so oddly?"
Caiest sent a disapproving look at Cassandra didn't her parents ever teach her it was rude to stare? "She's never seen something like you before it's okay just go over there." She whispered back and pointed to a corner of the room where Sennie could sit while Caiest explained what a Golem was.
Sighing Caiest went back and sat on the desk that she had started on. "Golem originated in Jewish Folklore. It's an enchanted figurine. A figurine constructed in the form of a human being and endowed with life. That's the dictionary version of it anyway. The Egyptians however found a way to actually make it happen though it only becomes human form when given life. When the reverse incantation is said the golem can be as small as a pebble." Caiest explained in a bored tone inspecting her dagger for any damage that might have resulted from her earlier fight.
"Satisfied? Can I go back to my practicing?" She asked putting the dagger back away satisfied that no permanent damage had come to it.

Cass sat down in one of the desks and looked at the creature in amazed. " Sienne, I am right, it is Sienne? I didn't mean to be rude. It's just really kind of...different." She studdered over herself several times during this sentence.
She thought about it for a moment. " Practicing? What are you practicing?"

Caiest smiled a small smile as Cassandra apologized to Sennie. Not many people would apologize to something not human. It made Caiest almost like Cassandra at least enough to tolerate her. Caiest turned to face Sennie. "I do believe she just apologized Sennie don't you have something to say?" She nodded in approval as Sennie said apology accepted then turned to face Cassandra again.
"I'm practicing fighting using a dagger. I used to use swords but those became to easy to use so I advanced to something more up close and personal."

Cass laughed. " I completely understand about swords. I've taken Kendo most of my life, so I'm pretty good with a shinai. However, I don't have many people to practice here with. This guy I've been flirting with for ages practice with me once, but all I ended up with was a hole in my shoulder. I couldn't write well for weeks."

Caiest looked at Cassandra with interest. Someone who actually fought with swords. And she thought that this school would be boring. She wondered if Cassandra would fight her. She often grew tired of practicing with Sennie as Caiest always bested the golem. It would be a welcome change to fight with someone more skilled even if would be with swords instead of daggers.
"Do you want to practice with me? Practicing dagger fighting with Sennie is nice and all but practicing sword fighting with someone as skilled as you would be much more satisfying." She said smiling at Cassandra as she tucked her dagger away.

Cass remembered her session with Pyro, but like a dunce she said, " Sure. Of course, I don't have any equipment her. So, that means I would have to go to my dorm and get it. But, its so late I don't think I will be able to get out again without angering the Fat Lady."
But, of course, she had a feeling that this girl had a set with her.

Caiest turned away from Cassandra and walked toward Sennie her Golem. "Thanks for the practice Sennie but I won't be needing you again tonight." She said taking back her dagger and muttering the reverse incantation that made Sennie a necklace again. After she was done Caiest walked back over to her bag and put the two daggers at the bottom of the bag.
"Would you like to use one of my swords?" She asked still not looking at Cassandra as she pulled out two beautiful looking swords. They were both long swords made of some fine looking steel.
One of the swords had an intricate design on the blade of the sword and an even more inticate handle that held dozens of different runes. That one was Caiest's own sword. Caiest had had it custom made when she went on a trip to the Caribbean with her parents.
The other sword had a design on the handle but not on the sword itself. The handle also had a beautiful pearl set on the top of the handle. Caiest handed this sword to Cassandra. "You can try this one. If you don't like the way this one works I can give you another as I have two more but I have a feeling that this one will suit you just fine."

Cass took the weapon from Caiest. It felt perfect in her hand. She balanced the sword at its hilt. " The tangs nearly perfect. Wow this is an incredible weapon. I could only hope for something as nice as this."
She threw the weapon from hand to hand to get used to the weight. She wasn't used to longswords, but she would give it a whirl. She took her opening stance. " Not a shinai, but I can still give you a run for your money. Ready?"

cairo came whizzing round the corner into the great hall,
casting spells at a doxy. It escaped out of the window and cairo slumped down on a bench!

Cass's head turned. " Did you just hear something?" She walked to the window in the door and looked out. She swore she saw a boy run down the hallway into the great hall.
" Never mind. I don't think its anything important" She reassumed her stance.

Caiest smiled as Cassandra confirmed her suspisions the sword was perfect for her. It was good that it suited Cassandra as Caiest abhored using it it just didn't feel right to her. "I'm glad it works for you. The sword is yours you can keep it. Now let's fight." Caiest said falling into fighting stance. Her sword was in her left hand stretched out towards Cassandra and her right was back by her face.
Caiest lost all emotion on her face as her entire world narrowed down to the sword in her hand and the opponent facing her. She didn't even notice as a boy rushed by before leaving. She waited patiently for Cassandra to make the first move.

She circled her opponent, trying to keep foot to foot with her. After a few moments of contemplation, she made lunge at her.
