Dana hummed some tone under her breath as she walked quickly towards a secret room on third floor. Dana had stumbled upon it accidentally, but rather liked the room. It had books in there, huge and comfortable armchairs, pillows and a fireplace with a desk as well. And two huge cupboards with all kinds of imaginable stuff in them and a chest with different clothes for masquerades. It was perfect for studying in peace which Dana used to the room for mostly. Today she didn’t go there to study though – she had met with a couple of girls and they had decided on a friendly game of truth and dare. Dana had thought of the room and told everyone how to reach it – you had to take the first hallway right from the staircase and then tell a joker picture the password, which was ‘Dino Eggs’.
Entering the room, Dana saw that she was the first one in place. A quick glance at her watch confirmed that others should be coming soon as well. Dana put the huge plate of fruits one with cookies and one with mugs of hot chocolate on a small table. She had decided the stuff would be nice during the game perhaps. Grabbing a couple of pillows Dana put them on the ground and sat down comfortably singing out the last line of the song loudly. Shifting herself a little, Dana heard the door opening and looked over to the girl, smiling warmly after seeing the person, who just entered. The second person, coming for truth or dare had arrived.
“Hi, come in and make yourself comfortable. The others should be coming soon as well,” Dana said with a smile reaching over and picking up one more chocolate-chip cookie bit into it.

Jordan quickly entered the room, shaking lightly, "Why is this room behind a Joker?? They give me the wiggins, along with clowns..." She said in greeting, shaking her head and dropping her shoulderbag along the wall. She swiftly pulled her hair up into a pony-tail, letting the blue strip of hair fall in front of her face. She had found a hair changing charm, that she rather liked and every day of the week was a different color. Today was blue, yesterday was green, and then the day before was red. She was thinking purple tomorrow. But, she would worry about that when the time came.
"So! Who's all playing truth or dare with us, eh? Oh, this is going to be interesting..." Jordan said as she walked over to an empty chair and fell into it. She sighed and looked around, taking in the surroundings. She took out her wand and pointed it at her bag, "Accio bag." The grey shoulderbag flew onto her lap and she went through it. Pulling out bottles of butterbeer, packages of candy, and some other edible items, "Figured we might need some beverages and I can't live without my candy...so, hope you don't mind." Jordan smiled and took a butterbeer, popped the top, and took a sip.

“You're always trying to figure out What I am all about If you don't know what the answer is Then just shut up and kiss It shouldn't take forever To put it all together If you can't do the math Then get out of the equation I am calling you back This is * 69 Is it a minus or a plus Does enough equal enough If you can't do the math Then nothing adds up Tell me why I'm here Sure I want someone to understand But I don't need the stress I'm not about being analyzed Like it's some kind of test Don't have to be a genius To figure what's between us You can spend your whole life analyzing Justifying, quantifying, and dividing 'Till there's nothing anymore Why don't you just close your eyes And kiss my lips and let it go Just let it flow It's what I'm waiting for” Mary sang while wandering the halls looking for a joker. She was singing Hillary Duff again and it didn’t sit well with her, but what could she do?
After a few more minutes of looking Mary finally came up on the object of her pursuit. As she stopped in front of it the picture he gave her a rude look “What do you want?” it demanded. “Dino Eggs” Mary said in a singsong voice with a grin plastered to her face as she watched him grimace and obligingly open up. Like any Slytherin Mary had a thing for power, and watching him open so unwillingly at her words did make her happy she could say that for sure.
Walking into the room Mary felt the comfort of the room wash over her. She glanced around the grumbled mis-matched room with two mind; one detesting it inconsistencies and the other finding it quaint. Deciding not to judge Mary noticed Jordan and Dana and gave each girl there a slight nod before plopping into a large squashy armchair beside the cookies. “Yummy” she said while crossing her legs and taking a bite. “Not late” she said to Dana with a grin, proud of herself for not only being on time but for not having gotten lost on the way.

You want to know more, more, more about me I'm the girl who's kicking the coke machine I'm the one that's honking at you 'cause I left late again. D.J. slipped the headphones off her ears, so the were dangling around her neck and peered around the corner, making sure the coast was clear. She didn't want anymore points taken away from Gryffindor. She had lost a lot during potions, though it was worth making Snape extremely mad; it wasn't worth the loss of points. He could've just given her a detention. Snape was a vial mad, and his name did correspond with his attitude.
As she turned the corner, she almost walked past the portrait of a joker. Skidding to a stop on her heels, making a skreeching noise as she stopped a few inches away from the joker, who had put his hands to his ears because, of the aching noise. D.J. smiled sweetly and innocently, or what could come close to sweet and innocent, and walked backwards until she was directly parallel of the portrait. She turned to face the joker and smiled again, rocking back and forth on her feet, her hands clasped behind her back, "Say it already. You're probably late as it is." He told her with a small, sympathetic smile. D.J. growled, "Save it, I don't your false sympathy. Dino Eggs." The portrait swung open and before D.J. entered she looked at the Joker and shook her head with pity, "You poor strange little creature."
D.J. continued to enter the room in which Dana had told them to meet her. Her blonde hair was in two pig tail braids and she had them tied with red ribbons at the end. She loved ribbons, they made her feel all girl-ish. D.J. smiled as she came into the room, realizing she was the last one there, and pouted slightly. She then shook it off, "Was that joker as arrogant to you as he was to me?" D.J. asked as she found an empty seat and pulled it closer to the group. She grabbed a cookie and bit into it's goodness.

Dana smiled to both Mary and D.J. as they entered. “Hi, glad to see you found this place. The joker isn’t too bad, once you get used to it. Besides I like this room – it’s great as a peaceful place for studying, especially for the O.W.L.s coming,” Dana grimaced but crabbing one more cookie, shook it off.
“Anyway – as we are all here finally, how about we start with the game. Although I have to make the same request I always do – please, don’t dare me to kiss Snape. That’s one dare I wouldn’t survive,” Dana said with a shudder at the mere thought, “Besides I wouldn’t want to get into witness protection. But otherwise- I volunteer to be the first one to be asked truth or dare, as I suggested it in the first place. So shoot ladies.”
Dana smiled at the three others calmly and added: “And to save some time I can already tell you that I’ll take dare.” Dana glanced at all three girls to se who would be the first to come up with something and wondered what she would be asked to do.

Mary nodded as yet another girl came into the room. “Hello” she said as soon as she swallowed the last bit of cookie. “Yes, he’s obviously not the nicest picture out there. But fact is how he feels doesn’t matter; we knew the password he had to open.” She said mater-of-factly as D.J. asked if the picture had been that arrogant to them as well. She then listened as Dana mentioned studying in the room. ‘I don't think I could concentrate like that in such a cluttered space. Give me the elegant dorms any day.’ Mary though to herself, but did not betray her thoughts. ‘To each her own’ she thought with a shrug before bursting out in laughter as Dana mentioned kissing Snape.
“Hmm… Dare, dare, dare.” Mary said softly to herself while taking another cookie. “Oh, oh, oh. I dare you to go up to hmm… wait that won’t work until tonight. I’ve got nothing that can be completed right now though.” She said disappointed but making a mental note to use it later.

Jordan looked to D.J. and seeing her blank stare, sat up straight. She took out her wand and while muttering something, waved it. Before her appeared a pitcher of some disgusting looking slop, "It's not hazardous to your health or anything," Jordan put her hand to her heart, "I swear. I dare you to drink half of this. Don't ask what's in it, I have no clue, my brother drinks it when he wakes up each morning." Jordan said, as a glass appeared next to the pitcher. A slice of celery appeared in the glass, and Jordan poured the slop into it. She smiled, knowing she would never do it, and handed the glass to Dana.
"Enjoy?" Jordan asked with a raise of her eyebrow.

Dana sent a curious glance at Mary, knowing what kind of dares she was able to think up. But they were always amusing, so Dana looked forward to seeing them. There would be time for that later though. “Drink that stuff?” Dana made a grimace peeking into the goblet, “No offence, but are you sure your brother is sane?”
Dana accepted the goblet and stared at it with real dislike. She was never one to back up from a dare though, so she pinched her nose and raised the goblet towards the others: “Well, then. Cheers!” Gulping down the drink, Dana almost gagged on it, but finished about two thirds of the stuff, before banishing the drink and crabbing a chocolate cookie and eating it hurriedly.
“It tasted like tar, garlic and some other really-really-really gross things,” Dana added with a grimace and standing up walk to an adjoined bathroom, where she quickly brushed her teeth. “Alright, I’m ok. Never want to drink that stuff again though. It’s foul!” Dana shook her head and grabbing one more cookie eyed D.J. and Mary ponderingly, wondering which one of them to ask. Deciding she knew D.J. less, Dana turned to her and smiled, “So, D.J., truth or dare?”
D.J. watched intriqued at Jordan's dare for Dana, the goop wasn't something D.J. would even consider drinking. She watched as Dana downed it, wondering how in the world someone could drink that every morning when they woke up. She let out a laugh when Dana ran and brushed her teeth, realizing and understanding why she had done that. But, when she came back and asked D.J. truth or dare, D.J. smiled slyly. D.J. loved Truth or Dare, she normally chose dare, but there were times when she chose Truth. Any of her friends knew she would do just about anything.
"Dare, and my standards are the same as yours, no kissing Snape." D.J.'s sly smile turned into an innocent one and she waited patiently for her dare.

D.J. picked dare and Dana wondered, how much could she ask. As D.J. mentioned, she had the same standards in dare’s Dana smiled wickedly. She was known to ask tough dares, although they were amusing form most of the time. And Dana wanted to know, if D.J. would be playing it on her level.
“Alright, I think I have the perfect dare for you,” Dana said with a wicked grin and a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, “How do you feel about singing? Because how about you go and serenade our ‘dear’ care-keeper mr.Filch with... I don’t know… ‘Because of you’ perhaps?”
“You can chance the song, but it ahs to be a love-song,” Dana said after a quick thought, that maybe D.J. wouldn’t know the song she had suggested. Tilting her head to the side Dana grinned and wanted to see, if D.J. would want to chance the dare or not.
((OOC: Don’t forget, that this is all for good fun, so no hard feeling, right? Because these dares and truths can’t hurt you in any way. And I ahd a question – let’s say we get a dare that has an impact on an other character – dunno.. let’s say you get dared to kiss Malfoy… Will we get Malfoy’s opinion of the dare after it has been done as well… One post for that character do express his reaction or not?”
D.J. smiled, singing. One thing she was rather good at, but before she had decided to find Filch, she pulled out 3 pairs of ear plugs, handing one pair to each girl. D.J. stood up, "It's opera, so I thought you might need these. It's from Phantom of the Opera, I don't feel like singing in Italian right now." Motioning for the girls to follow her, and left the room. What luck! Filch was coming down the corridor as they left the room.
"Mr. Filch! Excuse me, but, I have something to say." D.J. approached the man, and his cat with a sweet smile. She put her hand on her diaphragm, breathed in and began, "Think of me Think of me fondly when we've said goodbye Remeber me Once in a while, please promise me you'll try When you find that once again you long to take your heart back and be free If you ever find a moment Spare a thought for me We never said our love was evergreen Or as unchanging as the sea But if you can still remember Stop and think of me Think of all the things we've shared and seen Don't think about the way things might've been think of me Think of me waking, silent and resigned Imagine me trying too hard to put you from my mind Recall those days Look back on all those times Think of the things we'll never do There will never be a day when I won't think of you." D.J. sang with preciseness, and when she was supposed to crecsendo she did. D.J. often sang opera, she was classically trained as a small girl with the waitress who had retired from the opera business. With a smile, and a small curtsy, she ran back into the room, and didn't stop running until she was safely seated in her spot.
((OOC: You mean like, have that person who it affects, (I.E. Draco) post once in here, their reaction? I see no problem with that...))

((Hey Dana that’s what I was going to do for you – that’s why I said later like after hours now I have to think of something else tehehe ;D why did I show you that story? tehehe Oh and I got mommy permission to still come on so long as the comp stops screwing up so lets keep our fingers crossed )) Mary watched in disgust as Dana chugged some disgusting dare she call it liquid. She laughed as her friend went and brushed her teeth. She quelled her laughter though as D.J. was questioned. She couldn’t hold it in though and broke into hysterics as Dana dared D.J. to serenade Filch. She followed D.J. out and watched the older girl sing amazingly to the greasy man. As the song ended Mary ran back to the room and fell in the chair she had been in previous. “Bravo!” she said while clapping and laughing as D.J. came in behind her. “Oh I volunteer to go next if Jordan doesn’t mind. I pick… oh I’ll go with the harder one and pick truth.” Mary said suddenly with a large grin.

"Thank you," D.J. said with a smile at Mary's "bravo!" D.J. then nodded as Mary volunteered to go first, and picked truth. D.J. bit her lip, she wasn't very good with truths. Questions rolled over in her mind, then one popped out at her. She snapped her fingers and looked at Mary intently, "What was your most embarassing moment?" It wasn't the most original question in the world, but she couldn't think of anything more.
D.J. grabbed a butterbeer, and twisted the top off. Taking a drink, she grabbed a cookie as well. Singing made her hungry, and she needed to eat. Opera was tiring, she didn't know how she was going to do this at the dinner party.

Mary sat there waiting for her question, unsure as to whether she should be nervous or not. As D.J. asked what her most embarrassing moment was Mary smiled quite relieved. “Hmm… I don't really know… I don't get embarrassed really I always just brush it off. But let me see I'm sure I can come up with something. Hmm…” she said considering. Mary took a cookie and began to munch while trying to remember a time she was truly embarrassed. She laughed as a few times came to mind but she knew there had to be something better…
After a few minutes of contemplation and munching an answer popped into her head clear as day. “I would have to say my most embarrassing moment was over Christmas break in Weinig Zug actually. Jasmine, Perseus, Jaquin and I were exploring this weird tunnel thing behind a portrait in the Enchanted Castle. This boggart appeared out of nowhere and everybody else dealt with it fine but me… lets just say it wasn’t pretty. The silly thing went and told them all my secrets and all I could do was stand there sobbing trying to banish it. It was awful.” Mary explained.
“Well Jordan… Truth or dare?” she asked with a large grin.

"Dare. Here are my guidelines, I will not kiss any adults, nor kiss anyone who wouldn't hesitate to kill me. I will not do anything life threatening, but everything else is fair game." Jordan answered with a calm smile as she leaned back, twirling the strand of blue hair around her finger with anticipation. She knew not to pick truth, she would sometime during the game, but not at the moment. At the moment, she was going with dare.

Mary smirked as Jordan choose dare. “Well if nobody minds I have a suggestion.” Mary said with a giggle afterwards. “I seem to remember from The Inferno that you are a good dancer. How would you feel about displaying your skills… say on the teacher’s table in the Great Hall? I dare you to go down to the Great Hall in ten minutes all dressed up in whatever type of costume you wish; just look like you are ready for a performance. We three will be hiding in there. All you have to do is play some music, whatever you wish once again. And dance up on the table for a minimum of five minutes. Do you accept?” Mary laid out the terms with a grin; she knew this would just be fun and nothing bad could happen even were they caught.
((OOC I with thinking of PMing a few professors and seeing if anyone would like to catch us just to add some drama – what do you guys think?))

Dana laughed watching Filch’s face as D.J. serenaded him. She was really good Dana had to admit, being quite impressed. She didn’t know many people who could pull off an opera aria and who weren’t professional singers. So she whole-heartidely joined with Mary’s applause and ‘braco!’
Listening to Mary’s truth Dana grinned and smiled comfortingly at her friend. She knew it mustn’t have been easy for Mary to have people see all her fears, but she knew Mary was a strong enough character to let it get herself down.
Dana watched curiously again as Jordan choose dare next and laughed at hearing Mary’s dare before jumping up: “Well, this one I’ve got o see as well.” Dana smiled at the other girls and was surprised as she suddenly realized that there was one girl from each of the Hogwarts houses. Mary from SLytherin, Jordan from Hufflepuff, D.J. from Gryffindor and Dana herself from Ravenclaw. “And it shouldn’t be a problem either, as you are a good dancer, Jordan,” Dana agreed and opened the door to start heading towards the Great Hall, waiting for the other girls to join her.
((Yep, get some professor to answer to this one. I’m sure we won’t get any detention nor loose points for this, so go ahead and contact someone. I think getting the opinion form one professor would suffice though))

Jordan sighed with a small smile, and stood up, following after Dana. She didn't mind dancing on the teacher's table, but dancing alone was going to be hard. She would have to pick someone from the crowd of students, someone she knew could dance as well as she. Her brown eyes were sort of in a dream stance, as they entered the Great Hall, "I'll need a dancing partner." Jordan said as she looked around the crowd of students. Not really spotting anyone, she made her way to the teachers table.
"May I have your attention? Thanks." Jordan hollered, it slowly quieted down in the Great Hall. Jordan flicked her bangs out of her eyes, and climbed onto the table, the plates disappearing as she stepped up onto the wood. Waving her wand once, her music filled the room and her outift became her salsa one. If she was to do this dare, she would go all out for it. Turning her attention back to the students, she waved her wand, and the music quieted so she could speak over it.
"Anyone here know tango?" She asked, her eyebrow raised. Someone stood up and made their way towards her, she helped the guy up and smiled, making the music grow louder. As she danced into his arms, and out again, she smiled and laughed. Knowing how good she looked, but knowing how bad this looked in front of the teachers and the Headmaster. One final twirl, and they were finished. Jordan quickly hopped off the table, and ran back out, but not before turning, doing a quick curtsey, and then leaving.

Post by Professor Minerva McGonagall on Feb 18, 2005 4:01:52 GMT
Professor McGonagall was enjoying the meal and was feeling surprisingly content as she watched the students in the Great Hall. There was a group of different aged Hufflepuffs laughing, some Raven claws were chatting excitedly over some star-cards, Gryffindors and Slytherins were being themselves. Suddenly hearing music professor McGonagall glanced up with a stern look. The meal-time wasn’t one to be playing so loud music and just then the plate in front of her disappeared. McGonagall gasped in shock as a third year Hufflepuff girl climbed onto the table and was joined a moment later by an other guy.
“MISS CORTES!” professor McGonagall managed to find her voice as the couple jumped off the table finally, “What do you think you are doing? Dancing on the staff table during a meal shows no respect to the authorities of this school! I will let you off with just a warning this time, but I never want to see that kind of a behavior ever again!”
McGonagall wasn’t sure that the girl, who just curtseyd quickly before running out of the room heard her, so she decided to have a chat with the girl about this later. Such disrespect should not be allowed, however amusing the Head-master would find it.
Muttering darkly about students getting more and more weird every day, professor McGonagall stood up and sweeped out of the room with a stern look in her eyes and her lips tightly pressed together. She would go and find that girl and have a long talk with her. Miss Cortes was out of sight by hte time McGonagall reached the hallway, so shaking her head, still in a bit of a shock from that kind of behavior, professor McGonagall headed towards her classroom.

As soon as Jordan agreed to the dare Mary wasted no time in going down to the Great Hall apart from the other girls. She slipped into the Slytherin table and made distracted conversation with a few of her housemates while popping grapes into her mouth and waiting for Jordan to come. As she watched Jordan walk up to the staff table she wanted to giggle but had to stifle it lest she incriminate herself. She watched the Hufflepuff clear the table and dance with some random Gryffindor boy she had never met. Mary didn’t find him particularly attractive and she would never go out with a Gryffindor but she had to admit he could dance. She giggled as the performance went perfectly and clapped along with everybody else as the pair left the hall.
Professor McGonagall yelled after Jordan but it was too late. Mary hurriedly finished her conversation and left the stunned Slytherins to run back to the room. She did not encounter problems with the joker but he did “kindly” request they stop coming in and out every two seconds. To this Mary simply told him to “suck it up princess” as she dashed into the room and practically fell into her seat. Finding she was the first one there Mary simply picked up another cookie and waited for the others to join her once more while considering what she could say for Dana’s turn which was coming up next.
