It was early morning. It was a Saturday meaning there were no classes. Riku was outside taking her morning jog in the courtyard. She tried to do it as much as she could and today was the perfect day. She could smell the spring coming and it was refreshing to see the snow melting.
She took a seat on a nearby bench and took a sip of her water. She bit her lip as she looked around. She saw no one so she poured some on her head. She smiled as she let the water drip down her forehead, pass her nose, and down her chin. She shook her head like a dog would then wiped her face off with a towel she kept in her bag.
She wore long blue jogging pants and a white tank top with some white tennis shoes. She said a spell and her shirt, which had been wet with the water, dried. She smiled as she took her hair out of it's ponytail. 'This is why I love jogging in the morning.'

Robert yawned as he woke. He walked over to the window and sat down and began to add somemore to the book he was writing. But then he looked out the window and saw a girl older than he, pouring water over her head. He looked closer to find that it was Riku. He threw on some clothes and looked for his tenisis shoes, but he could only find one. "Where is that stupid shoe?" he muttered to himself. "Oh well." He picked up his wand from his edstand and held is outward, not knowing what to aim at. "Accio shoe." His shoe flew from under the boy next to him's bed to him and into his hands.
He climbed down the stair case and onto the Hogwarts grounds. He scanned the courtyard for Riku. She wasn't hard to find, becouse she was one of the only people out this early.
"Het Riku!" he shouted towards her with his hand cupped over the sides of his mouth to make his voice carry farther. "Mind if I join you?" #nosmileys

She smiled as took out a brush from her bag and began to brush her slightly dampened hair. She sang a little then put it back in it's ponytail. She got up once more and strectched ready to run again. She closed her eyes as she did so and practically jumped when she heard someone say her name.
She turned around to see Robert. She smiled to herself as she replied, "No! Not at all!"
"Seems like I'm not the only one up so early," Riku said to him with a smirk. She rarely saw others out when she was jogging. It was a nice change that someone else was outside, besides her.

Robert started running towards Riku. It was times like these that he wished he could just turn into a bird than fly. It wasn't as cold as usual. The soft wind felt great. Once he caught up along side Riku, tried to start up a conversation as they jogged next to eachother.
"So where exactly are you from?" he asked her. She's obviosly Asian, he thought to himself.

Jogging in the morning was always refreshing, but jogging with someone else made things more interesting. Riku smiled at his question.
"I'm Japanese, actually. Not Chinese...or hmong...or Laos..or Taiwanese...JAPANESE." She said with a laugh as she jogged with him.
She hated when people refered to asians as 'Chinese' because that wasn't true at all. She'd rather people jsut call her asian than a whole entirely different race.

"Well, I'm as American as you can get. When I was younger, we moved closer to here. It was my fault we had to move. Dumbledor had my parents convinced that the wizarding schools in America weren't nearly as good as Hogwarts. When I first heard that the name of my new school was 'Hogwarts', I knew things were going to be interesting." He paused a miniute to catch his breath. "So did you move here from Japan or do you come here all the way from Japan every year? I guess you didn't go through platform 9 and 3/4. Does the Hogwarts Express even go all the way to Japan?"

"No, I was born in Japan, I don't still live there. I do visit there once or more a year," Riku said laughing a little. She paused to let him catch his breathe, but kept jogging in place. She smiled as she watched him.
"Don't jog much, huh?" Riku said to him. "Why'd you come out here then, because it obviously wasn't to jog?"
Riku gave him a teasing smile as she awaited his answer.

"Honestly, I love to take walks, not jogs. I was bored to death and had planned on going to the library so I could read some of The Magic in Nature Around Us. It's really interesting, but then I decieded to come and jog." Robert gave a soft laugh. "You know, to try new things. It would be so cool to be an animangus. I've always wanted to fly. It'd be so cool to be a bird. Maybe even a raven. Then I could just fly everywhere. I wonder how old you have to be before you can train to become one."

Riku listened to Robert talk. She smiled to herself as she continued to jog.
"Well, would you rather me walk than jog?" Riku asked him curiously. "I can understand why you aren't used to jogging so I can walk if you want."
What would it feel like to be able to change into an animal? Riku had never wondered that before, but now that he mentioned it, she did wonder. "I'd probably want to turn into a cat or something small," Riku said thoughtfully.

"No that's okay. I'm not that out of shape, but I prefer walks late at night." Robert realized that as the sun began reach higher into the sky, the warmer it got. The sweat trickeled down his forehead. He held his wand up in the air and said something as he flicked the wand with his wrist. Instantly a mist of tiny water droplets slowly began to fall down upon him. Together they looked almost like a small cloud. "Ohhhh. How... refreshing." He ruffled his hair then straitened it again. "I'm so glad I'm a wizard." He smiled and continued to jog.

Riku waited for Robert once again. They seemed to be going on some odd rhythm. Jog, jog, stop, jog, stop, stop, jog, jog, etc. She laughed to herself as thought about that being a dance of some sort.
"So other than writing...what do you do? Do you sing? Dance?" Riku asked him curiously. They had continued jogging again. Riku didn't perspire as easily, since her body had been used to the jogging. 'Was I that sweaty? Or is it different because he's a guy?' She thought to herself.

((Sorry I took so long. I'm trying to start my own RPG and that took a while.))
Robert thought about her question. "Actually, I don't dance, unless I'm alone listen to the radio or my CD player." That made him feel kind of stupid. Do people who've always been raised in the wiarding world, even know what those are. When he brought his CD player to Hogwarts, it didn't work. It didn't take him that long to find out that electricity and magic don't combine.

Riku listened to Robert as she jogged along side him. She felt her ponytail swayign back and forth. She smirked to herself slightly.
"That's how it is with everyone. I like muggle music, so I can see why it seems so hard to not be able to dance to it," Riku said with a smile.
"Hey, would you rather just want to walk? Seriously, I don't mind," Riku asked him as she slowed her jog.

"No, that's okay. I mean, unless you want to?" Robert noticed that Riku seemed to be leading. Is she trying to jog somewhere in particular? Robert thought. "So what do you usually do after you're done jogging?"

"It doesn't matter. Why don't we just sit. I've been joggin all morning. I think I deserve to be done," Riku said with a smile as her slowed jog turned into a walk. She smiled at Robert and walked over to the bench with her things on it.
"Usually I just shower then go to breakfast. It's always early so most of the time I have time to myself," Riku said after she took a sip of water. She looked down at her clothing. She had no persperation so she just sat down.
"Why do you ask?"

"Oh, no reason. Usually I just get up in an hour or two and practice a few spells. I wanted to arrange a duel ith someone, but nobody else wanted to. I kept asking around. Nobody has any time anymore." He almost never got up this early on a Saturday.

Riku listened as she put her things up in her bag. She smiled at him.
"Well, you'll find someone soon," Riku said softly. She looked up at the sky.
"What are you going to do now?" Riku asked him curiously.

Riku nodded and sighed. She bit her lip thinking.
"Yeah, I know her. We played Chess once," Riku said as she looked at him.
"So, what do you want to do?" Riku asked him as she stood up quickly and gave a small smile.

"I dunno..." it was rather boring. Sturdays always were. Sometimes there would be a few parties that he'd go to, but he couldn't think of any. "I heard that you tried out for the quiditch team. I did too. I hope yot make it." Robert looked at his watch. There was still quite a bit of morning left. "What do you want to do?"
