Brooke walked into the student lounge. It was not crowded , and it was pleasant.
Some where in the distance she heard the sound of music. She felt good inside.
Sitting down by the fire were it was not to hot she toke out a book to read.
She loved to read it was her world. She walked the plank with Peter Pan. Sailed in the raft with Huck and Tom. And fullfilled a destiny along the side of the Whitney cousins. It was a plaesant world. A rewording world.
Ten pages into her book she heard a sound. Turning around it was a suprise to see a happy face. " Are you lost , happy bunny? " She asked half expecting the figure to reply you smell like doo or some thing.

Amelia had been walking down the hallway, her favorite notebook pressed against her chest with a quill in her hand and an ink bottle in the other. With tons of ideas and thoughts about her on going novel crowding through her already tired mind, Amelia entered another hallway. Amelia was a writer and very good one at that. She enjoyed to write stories more than anything. She tried writing songs, though they never are that good, the lyrics yes but the music no! She was good at poems but fantastic at stories. She only has one novel, that isn't finished, and that novel occupies her mind at all times. When she knows she must be doing homework, her hand was racing across the parchment in her notebook, writing her novel.
Amelia entered the Student lounge with a content smile on her shy face. She noticed only a few people. Not alot of noise could be heard which was very much needed in order for Amelia to write well enough. A girl sat near the fire reading. She was definatly a third year and a Ravenclaw when Amelai studied her tie. Amelia watched the girl for a moment and decided on sitting near her, maybe a conversation would arise. As usual, Amelia never said hello to someone, oh no! They must start the conversation. Amelia would be so very embarrassed and much too shy to say anything as simple as "hi". So she sat down in a chair close to the girl and opened her notebook.

Jack walked into the room, humming to the beat of the music that was so loud he could hear it down the corridorr. He grinned broadly; he had told Bee to put on her best music as loud as she could, and it payed off. Bee always seemed to listen to him, but not in a servent like way. He couldn't help but be on the friendly side with her. He didn't know why. He smiled even more and walked into the Student Lounge, which made the noise sound distant. He saw two girl in seats. They were the only ones in there, besides some Hufflepuffs on the other side of the room. He sat down next to the girl he recognized as Brooke. The other girl he didn't know but she looked like a Gryff.
"What are you doing just sitting here on a nice day like today?" He asked in a pleasent tone. Bee and Mack, he two best friends, happened to bring the good side out in him. It made him happy until someone did something to bring him back to Earth.

Dixie Holden looked at herself in the mirror, her copper brown hair was up in a ponytail, and she wore her school uniform. She applied some lip gloss and headed down towards the common room. Taking one glance around, she sighed and then left that as well. No one worth talking to was out today. Everywhere she turned she realised that the school was populated by filthy mudbloods of the newest generation and she hated it. She wished they would all die already.
Dix headed towards the student lounge, ready to let her foul mood make others day so much unbearable. She figured this would be easy, considering if they were impure of blood their life was already a living hell in Hogwarts. Well, with the Slytherins anyway. She opened the door and took another glance around, still not seeing anyone worth spending her time on. Wait. There was a Slytherin in the vicinity. She picked it up like radar. A third year. And none the less, he knew Mack. A small evil smile crept across her pink lips and she walked over to the group in which the Slytherin was seated.
"Hello hello hello." She greeted each one in a breath. Dix took a seat next to some girl, and tilted her head in a pseudo warm greeting. She was going to have so much fun.
((I haven't posted as Dix in awhile, and I wanted a post to jump in on. Hope it's ok.))

Amelia jumped ever so slightly at the sudden noise of the girl next to her. She looked at the girl and smiled shyly. The girl was looking at her and Amelia didn't like it when she called her happy bunny... but Amelia ignored it and took a deep breath, trying to get the words out.
"Um... hi-hello..." she mentally kicked herself for stumbling at the simple conversation starter. She noticed a few more peopel walk into the lounge, Amelia ignored them and looked down at her notebook, wondering if she should start writing again or wait for the girl next to her to talk....

Dix smiled and let a giggle escape her rosey lips, she tapped her fingers on the arm rest of the chair and looked at the girl who had spoken, "I adore parties..." Dixie said in a lucious and rich voice that usually sent shivers down peoples spines. Dix smiled again, this time at Jack and she tilted her head. She was in a rather cheery sadistic mood, and she wondered if he would like to join her in her mood. There was one thing she disliked about Jack though, he knew her sister, thus how she knew his name. Anyone who knew Mack and liked her, Dix despised. At the moment, however, Jack was the only person who she would even consider having an actual conversation with.
"Don't you, Jack? Just adore parties? With all the gifts, and things that are liked. The music. The dancing. But, this party is a bit dull...I say we liven it up a bit," Dix looked to the other two girls and raised her left eyebrow perfectly. It was a perfect arc and she wondered if it frightened them like it frightened so many others. That look on her face that gave away her evil plotting, "That's if....you two don't mind." Dix finished in an innocent tone of voice and a bat of her eyelashes.

Dix raised her eyebrow at this girl, this girl talked more than she thought. And that was saying something, "What do you know of filth?" She asked, spitting the words out single handedly. Making each consonate and vowel so audible that they could probably make a word all on their own. She spoke slowly, in case this blonde didn't know what she was saying. Or maybe she didn't speak pure fluently, in which case Dix would merely ignore her and talk with those who did.
When the girl asked if she were Mack's sister, Dix glared at her. Why was it that Mack was more popular than she? Why was it that, she was asked if she was Mack's sister, not if Mack was her sister? It made Dix want to chop someones head off, and let them roll. Off with their heads! She would scream. And then the guillotine would slice them clear off. Slice them off clean. Dix shook her head to stop thinking and said, "No. Mack is my sister. People somehow keep making that fatal mistake." She answered in a tone that said don't mess with me.

" I know plenty as if my mother and father a pureblood both that makes me one too. And I'm sorry. So Mack is your sister. God I hate that girl." Brooke said sighing.

Dix shook her head and clicked her tongue, "Just because you carry the pureblood title, doesn't mean you are pureblood. Pureblood is a way of life, not a title. You have to live it." She bit the inside of her cheek and tilted her head at this girl. This girl who was surprisingly getting on her nerves. She hated when people from other houses acted all high and mighty because of their blood. Like they had a place to say they were better. Hah. Right. Dix was even starting to dislike this girl. THat is, until she said she hated Mack. Dix's eyes lit up and she looked closer at this girl.
Sure, a lot of people hated Mackenzie, Mack had a lot of enemies. But the hatred in this girl was strong, Dix could feel it. And being the older sister, Dix thought it was her place to make sure no harm happened to Mack. Though she was sure there were a few others out there who had their eye on Mack, having her back in case something went wrong. But Dix was the ultimate barrier, no one harmed her little sister. No matter how much Dix got annoyed of her, no matter how disrespectful and disgraceful Mack acted, Dix still loved her and would always be there for her. Unlike her parents, who would sooner die than save their youngest daughter, "Yes, a lot of people seem to hate my sister, but she gets along fine." Dix finally said in a cool tone. Eyeing this Ravenclaw with as icey a stare she could with her chocolate brown eyes.

" You know it is. I do live that life. And Mack is o.k if you can ignore the wise cracks she always puts on. And she really has it in for me." Brooke said. Why was this day became anthor argument?

"You wake up everyday, to a house elf serving on you hand and foot? You be little someone everyday because of their blood? Take pleasure in tormenting those who are of different blood and younger years than you are?" Dix asked, in mock awe, "If a Ravenclaw did that, the sorting hat needs to be reprogrammed because he's putting people in the wrong house." She sneered mildly at the girl, wondering who the hell she thought she was. Maybe if she had got her name, and the last name would ring bells, then maybe the girl was a worthy pureblood. If not, then most likely she wasn't.
"And Mack wouldn't be her without the wise cracks. Just like you wouldn't be you if you weren't conceited." Dix told her with a small cruel and sadistic smile. That was the difference between Dix and Mack. Mack couldn't hold an argument. She let things get to her too easily, Dix however let the words the other person said, help her and make better arguments. That's why Dix always won the debates between Mack and herself. Mack got too personal in it, while Dix let it fly by without a care in the world.

"That's only one out of 3. Not a good percentage there, Ms. Davis." Dix told her, "It's only 33%. You do know what a percent is out of, right? A percent is out of 100. And 33 is not good." She examined her nails, indicating she was bored. Though her mind was searching for any hint as to the Davis namesake. Nothing came to mind. Apparently this girl wasn't a worthy pureblood. Dix sighed and crossed her legs, her right leg over her left, and stopped looking at her nails.
"Alas, this school just doesn't have any decent purebloods anymore..." Dix sighed, talking to herself mostly but some to the others in the small group. She lifted her eyes and saw the look the girl was giving her, Dix laughed, "Oh, please. YOu have Ravenclaw written all over your face." Dix told her in a laughing voice. She smiled and rolled her eyes. Muttering under her breath, "Third years."

((I was told by Brooke to join in, so, here I am!))
Maddie walked down the halls, it was a very nice day out, so natrually, almost everybody was outside. She had just gotton back from the library, doing homework, as always. She hated how the teachers seemed to lately be piling on the homework.
Maddie was bored already and decided to stop by the student lounge. Maybe she would find something to do there. What the heck? Couldn't hurt anything.
Maddie walked inside and instantly spotted her friend, Brooke, two of her housemates, Dixie Holden and Jack Rendel, and some Gryffindor. Why on earth would two Slytherins be talking to a Gryffie? Why would Brooke be talking to a Gryffie? Didn't Brooke say that she hated Gryffindors?
Oh well, she would find out soon enough. She walked over to the group and said, "Hey. What's going on?"

Jack listened to the girl's conversation, without really joining in. He saw another girl walk in, and he couldn't help it. He stared alittle, she looked a bit like Mack. Was this the Dixie Holden that his father kept on telling him about? He had to ask just to make sure.
"So you're Dixie?" Jack blurted out. He wasn't enjoying the Mack comments in their conversaition. "I think Mack is perfectly fine the way she is." Jack said, alittle testy. "She happens to be one of my best friends." He added, looking at Dixie with great dislike. He had heard about this girl. He wasn't sure if he should trust her, or if she was alright. Jack was barely paying attention to Brooke or the one girl or Maddie. His eyes fixed on Dixie, waiting for her to do something.
