He grinned at her compliment, his own body starting to pick the the rythem to the next song they played, a must steadier, deeper song.
"Be careful with those compliments, they are likely to go straight to my head"

He laughed at her commened his eyebrows raised slightly as he tried to look both innocent and comical.

Kiyla laughed as she heard the song change once more. This song didn't seem to be as opbeat as the others. She could tell a slow song was coming up soon.
"I suppose... but with you, you can never tell." She said.

He laughed slightly, happy that she seemed to have relaxed again and was enjoying herself. He really did want her to have a good time while she was here, and considering he was her date, he was feeling a bit responsible.

Kiyla laughed. She was glad that her mood was changing. She didn't feel like being mad anyway.
"On my toes eh? Well you do have that effect on a lot of girls don't you?" Kiyla said then wished she didn't. She kept dancing though, pretending as if nothing was wrong with that comment.

He laughed again, taking the comment lightly and not reading into it. Partially because he never read too much into anything, and partially because he didn't want to do or say anything it Kiyla that might alter her mood.
"What can I say, its a gift?"
He raised his eyebrows again, reaching out and taking her hand so that he could spin her around like he did the first time.
"Must be all that pratice I have at dancing"

Kiyla grinned as Payton grabbed her hand and spun her around. She paused in front of him and made her movements slower yet they still stayed with the beat of the song.
"And when, do you get the chance to practice all this dancing?"

He shrugged slightly in response. Since he had started going to Hogwarts, he had been dancing less. Just the few midnight kitchen balls at home durring the summer. There was always one the day Dill and he came home from Hogwarts. Then there were the dances at school, but that was all of his dancing latley.

Kiyla smiled. She wondered what it would be like to have six sisters, heck, she wondered what it would be like to have ANY siblings at all.

He laughed slightly, their life was as his father tended to put it, organized chaos. There were thirtheen of them cramed into the 4-bedroom flat, and that meant they all had to get along rather well nearly all the time as there was hardly any place to go where one could be alone.
"Well, it has been a struggle, but I would like to think I have at least smile more girl-related education than many other males"

He laughed slightly and shrugged lightly, there was a rather long list.
"Well, I do owe my rancing abilities to them, but beside that, I know the difference between a camasol and a tank top, lip stick and lip gloss, as well as a purse and a hand bag. But they did teach me how to behave all chilvrous and what not....they seem to think proper older brothers are to open doors and pull out chairs..."

He laughed at her comment, noticing that behind his laughter the song they were dancing to was coming to a close. It was then that a voice came out across the crowd.
"While I'm sure you are all having a grand time, we have reached the last song of our ball, so enjoy!"
Payton looked over at Kiyla, smiling slightly before a slow song started to play, and after a short pause he held his hand out to her.

Kiyla listened to the voice telling that it was the last song. A slow song started to play. Kiyla looked at the ground. She sighed then looked up and saw that Payton had put his hand out. Kiyla smiled and took it.
She put the other arm around his neck and moved closer to him.

His own arm moved to her hip, resting there as they picked up the steps in tuen with the song. It was the latest song to top the charts int he wizarding world, a dispite the fact it was a slow song, it had a strong rather lighthearted beat.
"So, over all, have you had a good time?"

He grinned slightly at the question and nodded. It had been a rather enjoyable evening for him, Kiyla was great company, and she was really getting good at the steps he had taught her. He even managed to say hi to a few other friends.
"I know...and the song will be over soon."
