He grinned slightly, as he moved into the position he had been in when he first taught her how to slow dance.
"Ah, I can tell you are rather upset by it...having to get so close to me and all, who could blame you"

Kiyla sighed as if she were really annoyed.
"How did you know?" She said dramatically.
She put her hand on his shoulder and held his hand.

He was still grinning as they started to dance, the same steps he had taught her in the common room not long before. He never looked down at her feet as he did, and he kept time very well. That is what sixteen years of dancing with sisters can do to a boy. They are never very forgiving when you make a mistake.
"Ah but it is your eyes that hold the truths of your heart"
He was grinning again, as if he had worded that so perfectly, even though it wasn't necessarily the truth.
"What do you think? Am I the next Shakespear?"

Kiyla laughed at Payton's Shakespear comment.
"I can see it now written in magazines... Payton Moore the New Shakespear." She smiled at Payton teasing him.
"That was very poetic though, if I can say so myself." Kiyla said tilting her head to the side, "Now at midnight... what will happen?"

He laughed slightly, letting his head fall back as he did--he was obviusly enjoying the evening, and their little games. When he broght his gaze back toher, he was smiling again.
"So now you really are putting the new Shakespear on the spot"
He laughed again, pausing for a moment to think.
"Well, you can't turn back into yourself, its been done...and all of that romantic stuff is so over rated...."

"Ahh... but how do you know that I'm not expecting a kiss at the end of the night as in Cinderella?" Kiyla said with a raised eyebrow looking serious but had a small smile on her face.
"Shakespear would have made it that way, i'm sure." Kiyla said with hint of a smirk.

He laughed slightly, raising his eyebrows slightly suprised to have heard those words come from her mouth
"I seem to remember multiple tragedys....at least as many as there were good night kisses....so I'm not sure I should give you any garntees"

Kiyla laughed surprised that he didn't realize that she had been joking.
"Wow, you're serious?" Kiyla asked Payton. "I, you see, was only kidding."

He laughed and shook his head. Everything was a joke to him, that what you get growing up with Dillion.
"Well, shatter my dreams then..."

Kiyla laughed again. She was having the best time.
"Well, maybe I'll put back the pieces later." Kiyla said as she looked down to the ground. She looked back up to Payton.
"So.. who do you like better? This Kiyla or the other one...?"

He smiled at her, thought this time it was softer. It was still his usual, optomist expression, but it didn't have the kint of joking and trouble as it had just moments before.
"I like you for you. But, both this Kiyla and the other Kiyla are part of you, so I refuse to choose"

Kiyla nodded to herself.
"Okay, I cam accept that..." She said as she smiled at him. She looked down again at her feet.

He smiled slightly, watching her look down in response to his comment.
"Afraid your going to step on my feet"
Life was easier when you made a joke out of it.

Kiyla smiled down to her feet.
"You seem to read me like a book." She said.

He grinned at her comment, and raised his eyebrows as if that was exactly what he expected her to say.
"Ah, so you have guessed my secret power. Instead opeople, I see books with legs."

Kiyla laughed. It was true. No one really knew her like Payton, well except Ivy, and that's what kind of scared her.
"So what's my book about?" She asked him curiously.

He through for a moment, rooking up, his eyebrows slightly raised as he was thinking--though in true Payton behavior, he didn't think long. Thinking always messed up the how spontinanity a comment was.
"About someone very shy, who will the help of a rather dashing sixth year, is starting to come out of her shell"

Kiyla laughed at Payton's comment.
"Well, I am a person who is born shy so I'm a pretty tough shell to crack.." She said.

He smiled slightly at her comment, his voice softening slightly as it did when he was being guine with his words.
"Your stronger than you think you"
