Katie was just in the Girls dormitory reading a book in her bed. No one was around so she started to sing to herself as she read. She kept this up for a little while and than got bored. She got up and saw her reflection in the mirror.
Her long brown hair was up in a ponytail and her eyes were shining. She than pulled down her ponytail and headed down the stairs to the common room. When she saw a Gryffindor third year walked over towards her.
"Do you mind if I sit with you" Katie asked giving her a big smile.

It was Liliane Staggner, Liliane was sitting there reading a book next to the fire, but had looked bored with the book. She had always heard such pleasant things about this girl but had never actually had a conversation with her. Since she was sitting there alone it seemed like the perfect moment to get acquainted. Liliane looked at her with a greeting face and said "have a seat."
Liliane closed her book and Katie asked her what she was reading. Liliane replyed "Its a book that mother had given me to read. She thought that I would like it."
Katie gave her a big smile and said "Thats so weird, I was just reading the same one!"

-Hey Liliane you cant really role play my character it’s called G-mooding that’s okay just try not to do it again-
Katie continued to smile at Liliane.
"I was bored from reading the book so I came down to play some music or just talk to someone" Katie said with her eyes twinkling at Liliane.
She than tucked her legs under her and closed her eyes enjoying the warmth of the fire.
"So is there anything more I need to know about you like history parents anything" Katie said opening her eyes and putting her head on her knees.

Ooops sorry. I didnt know that  - I hope I did it right this time. Liliane brushed her light brown hair back and placed it behind her hair, a nervous habbit she had picked up. It was usually done whenever she was talking to someone new. She was paranoid that if she said one thing wrong they would never talk to her again. However Liliane seemed to be comfortable with Katie. She responded with a confident tone stating that her and her family were a pretty average family, that nothing spectacular had ever happened in her life. However,she had always dreamed of an adventerous life but is afraid of danger and things that could lie ahead. After stating all of that, Liliane had felt as though she had spilled alot to someone she didn't exactly know to well. Liliane could usually sense if a person was rude or not trustworthy, and in her eyes Katie did not seem to be any of that. Liliane brushed back her hair again and looked at Katie hoping for a reasurring response. |

Katie than looked at Liliane and pulled backed her long hair so it wasn’t in her face.
"At least your history that will be better than mine" Katie said trying not to cry.
The image of her mother back in the hospital came to her mind. Her mom was very frightened and Katie couldn’t see her or talk to her. All she could was staring at her mom all lonely in the bed.
After a few months her mom got worse and she was still not allowed to go in. But one day she saw her mom not opening her eyes and not moving. Katie banged on the door and went in to her mom side.
"Mom get up please get up something just great happened to me mom" Katie said desperately. Than Katie listened to her heart and started to cry.
"MOM" she cried. A nurse than came in and pulled Katie away.
"No I wont to stay" Katie screamed to the nurse and she was dragged farther and farther away from her dead mom.
"MOM" katie kept on screaming.
Katie tried to hold back strong tears swelling up in her eyes. A tear went down her checks and she brushed it away looking the other direction of Liliane .

Liliane felt guilty. She was speechless, there Liliane was telling her that she had a pretty good life with a good family. With only adventure and drama missing. She was scared that she had said something wrong and in her wrong doing made Katie cry. She had never been put on the spot like this before. Liliane in hopes of a good response put her hand on Katie's shoulder closest to her and said "It's okay, if you feel like talking to someone I'm here for you."

Katie than turned her head towards Liliane trying to tell her about her mom.
"My mom died last month when I got my letter to Hogwarts" Katie said with strong tears in her eyes.
"I live with my dad back at home in London" Katie taking a deep breathe.
"What about your family" Katie asked resting her head on her knees and watching Liliane intently.

Liliane looked at Katie with a very reasurring look and said "I am deeply sorry to hear about your mother and if you ever need to talk to anyone I'm here for you." Liliane looked at Katie and then continued talking. "I live with my mother,father, and my older brother Hayden and my younger sister Victoria." "What about you, is it just you and your dad?"

Katie nodded at Liliane.
"My farther and I are very close now" Katie said with a smile.
She was glad that Liliane said she could come to her for any help.
"It looks like you have a big family I always wonted a sister or brother but I guess not" Katie said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Liliane laughed. "You can take mine anyday." She said with a smile.
"Don't get me wrong, their a blast to have around sometimes, but recently they've been paranoid and gloomy. Like something changed them overnight." Liliane's smile turned to a worried look, as she looked down at the ground when she finished talking. Liliane looked at Katie and said "I've never told anyone that before." In hopes that Katie would disregard the statement Liliane said about her brother and sister. Liliane looked at Katie, and gave her the biggest happiest smile she owned.

Katie Laughed.
"Yes it better than coming home to and empty house and be by yourself for half of the day" Katie said with a big smile back to Lilliane.
Since Katie farther is a doctor he is always gone and sometimes he never comes home so Katie has learned to cope with the loneness

Katie than looked up from Liliane to see a girl her own age writing. Katie smiled slyly and got up to talk to the girl.
"I am Katie Davenport I am a first year you" Katie said to her looking at her with a troublemaker smile.
She sat down next to her ready to make some convertion.

"I am Katie Davenport one of the many good trouble makers here at Hogwarts. Jordan and Dillion are the well known to me though." Katie said pulling back her long brown hair.
"Do you mind if I call ya' Liz?" Katie said looking at Elizabeth wondering if she will say yes.

Katie smiled and looked at the cat by Liz's side. Katie scratched the cat behind the ears and smiled as the cat purred.
"Than Liz it is" Katie said looking at Liz. Katie knew they were going to be good friends.
"I own a snowy owl named Snowflake but she’s in the owlery with the other owls" Katie said continuing to scratch the cat under the ears.
"What’s this little fellows' name" Katie asked as she gave him one last scratch.

Elizabeth stared at Katie, thinking of how her sister called her liz. "yes, you can call me Liz" Elizabeth smiled at Katie as her cat Spooky jumped on to her lap and cuddled. " do you have a cat?"
