Tristian had been outside when the storm started. There was nothing to do inside. She was done with studying and reading wasn't something she was interested in doing today not with all the troubling thoughts she had running through her mind. She hadn't heard from her twin in three weeks. Three weeks and not one word from him. She didn't think that he was serious when he said that she'd never hear from him again. He'd said that numerous times before but he'd always broken down and talked to her again. He'd never been out of touch this long before so she'd come to the conclusion that he must be serious this time. 'How can my day get any worse?' She had thought then the thuderstorm had started.
Tristian loved thunderstorms but not when she was out in them. She hadn't been out for more then five minutes before she was soaked to the bone. Sighing she got up from the rock she'd been sitting on and made her way back into her common room.
Stepping in she almost ran into one of her house mates. The girl was one in her year but one she'd never talked to before. The girl looked like she wasn't too happy and muttered something under her breath that Tristian couldn't hear. Looking around she noticed a group of people all talking to one another most of them looked like they were in a heated discussion. "Should I go?" She asked to no one in particular.

Next thing Mary knew Kori was throwing a hissy about not giving said “inferior” wizards an education to which Dawn mentioned a number of other schools those with muggle blood could go to. She was going to correct Dawn on her mention of Durmstang; knowing quite a lot about the school herself due to her parents threats to send her there lest she cease interactions with the aforementioned wizards, only she was stopped before she even formed the words in her mind. Danika reiterated what she meant with her education comment, the muggleborns would be shipped across the continent to a shack to learn to use a wand to set the table while the purebloods would stay and be educated at the castle. Mary inwardly scoffed at the idea while remaining silent listening to Danika berate Kori.
It was said that Kori may not deserve the crest and Mary didn’t care one way or another, it was amusing but she didn’t want to get into it. But then Kori stood up and made some speech indirectly insinuating that Mary is the one who doesn’t deserve to be in Slytherin, though not using names. Mary simply took it as an attack on herself, Kris, Pyro, and Phoebe due to their unconcealed beliefs. Kori began walking away and Mary decided to move the conversation on.
“Actually Dawn, Durmstang doesn’t accept anyone with a single drop of muggle blood for… oh I don't remember how many generations but more than enough. My cousin Jeremy goes there and my parents are constantly threatening to send me… he’s coming to England this summer actually so you won't be the only boy around Pyro; won't that be a joy? My cousin and three of his friends, none of whom I know.” Mary said to each of them in turn rolling her eyes at the end; this summer was not looking good for her.
As she finished another girl approached and asked if she should go. Mary looked at her with a bored apathetic look on her face and decided to answer. “If you have something to do then most certainly… If not then its up to you; I am hoping you belong in the dungeons right? And if so who is to stop you from staying?” Mary said to her before looking back into the fire.

Calista was sitting outside sketching the forest when she felt the first raindrop on her cheek. She looked up and flinched.* "Crap!" She quickly closed her sketching book and threw her cloak around her shoulders again and covered her book. She ran as fast as she could for the front doors. Once she reached them she whisked herself inside and shook her cloak out. "Damnit all!" She sighed and looked down at the puddle that was quickly forming under her feet. She sighed again and grabbed out her wand. She waved it and dried off her clothes and her hair a little bit. She then started towards the dungeons. She got to the suit of armor and murmured tha password and quickly entered the common room. She looked around her and was momentarily struck dumb. There was s group of Slytherins gathered together talking about stuff. This very rarely happened. She shook her head with a grin and headed for her dorm. She headed up the stairs and entered her room quickly. She set down her stuff at the end of her bed on her trunk and then got out her comb and took out her long dark hair and combed out the tagles. She decided to let it air dry. It would be really curly and insane, but whatever. She could just braid it again and it will be fine. She changed into a set of loose grey lounge pants and her fuzzy toe socks and a red shirt. She grabbed her drawing pad and graphite pencils and gummy eraser. She looked down at her dirty fingers and sighed, but shrugged. There was no use cleaning them, they would just get dirty again. She then decided to head back down and join the conversation she had seen going on. If she got bored or anything, she could just sit and sketch. Maybe Dawn would let her sketch her. "hmm . . . " She headed downstairs and headed towards the group. "hey. I'm Calista. Mind if I join?" She went up and asked evenly and clearly. If they said no she was just going to shrug and go sketch, but she would like to talk to someone. And this group did consist of some interesting and well known people.

Kris felt his good mood starting to slip away as the argument went on and two more girls approached the group. One was from Kris’s year, the other Kris didn’t know. Nor did he care to be completely truthful. Kris smirked as Mary answered the girl form Kris’s year… Tristian or whatever her name was – rather snappily. If you were a Slytherin then you didn’t ask to be allowed to join a conversation. You just joined. Or maybe Kris was just arrogant enough to not bother with asking.
Just then a third year approached them and asked the same question, whether she can join again. “Last time I checked this was still a free country,” Kris sneered with real irritation visible in his eyes, as Kris took in the younger girl, with his eyes lingering pointedly at her dirty fingers, “And I do expect you to be a Slytherin since you are already here.”
Kris looked around the group. For Slytherins these kinds of gatherings really were surprisingly rare. Being rather moody and antisocial himself, Kris was actually rather pleased that he wasn’t supposed to socialize with other members of his house more often. Standing with one smooth motion Kris nodded to Mary, Pyro and Dawn in that order, taking the others in with just brief glance. Besides the dungeons weren’t the nicest place to be, especially to Kris who preferred fresh air and being outside. “Do enjoy the rest of the evening,” Kris stated emotionlessly as he moved towards the door and excited the common room. Mary could handle herself, Pyro and Dawn wouldn’t care and Kris himself didn’t care what all the other girls thought. Letting the common room door close silently after him, Kris moved down the hallway to find something else to occupy his time.

(( I noticed from my absences, I have many of different posts going on. Im sorry, But I must leave this post. Anyone new to this post- do not take this offencively. I am just bored, and busy. Plain and simple. If anyone on this post wants to post with me when I return from my 'time of leave' feel free to leave me an OWL or PM me and we'll arrange some time. But im sorr, for the time being I must go. To save myself from when I return with no writting skills or any thoughts about me. ))
Dawn sat silent as a punch of thunder sounded. Dawn Looked up as a few more people joined the conversation. Dawn didn't care. She merely sat and looked at her nails. She was starting to get in a tense mood and didn't want people to ramble on about minor things that Dawn rarely cared about. Kori stormed out for the common room. Dawn wasnt fond of that action. 'Who walks out on a fight?' she thouht to herself as she shook he head as she watched Kori walk away. A new girl stated her name, and asked to join the conversation. Dawn glanced at her as she leaned back in her chair and yawned. She didnt say anything.
Kris spoke up. He stood and nodded towards Mary, Pyro, and herself. Dawn replied the favor as Kris began to walk away. Looking around, Dawn glanced at Mary, and rolled her eyes as she marked the 'no conversation'. She didnt like the fact the others had to rely off of others to make or start something. Glancing at Danika, and Pyro- Dawn stood up. "I do want to talk to you later." she she directed her words towards Danika. Nodding in the same manner Kris did. Dawn nodded towards Mary and Pryo. Glancing at a few others, Dawn held her wand at her side, as she strode towards the dorm stairs, and went towards hers.

The girls attempt at standing up for herself was rather disappointing. In fact she sounded no better than a pitiful little Hufflepuff, unable to maintain herself when the slightest hint of conflict arose. Perhaps here standers for her own house were a bit high considering they were letting anyone into Hogwarts these days, but she did expect a bit more of a Slytherin. As the fifth year walked away she made no attempt to tell hurtful remarks after her. Instead she looked at the remaining group, a slight smile playing across her lips.
“There are some things worth arguing over, and she isn’t one of them, so I rest my case.”
There seemed to be a turn in the conversation, and it was not towards enlightenment. Slytherin truly was going down hill. Some new people joined, but she did not look in their direction. Instead her gaze focused harshly on the boy who had first greeted her. It seemed that the girl was no the only one unable to handle a little heat in the discussion. He excused himself form the conversation, and she was well aware that his gaze did not return to her. She took pleasure in this. He didn’t know what to do with her, and she liked that. It was after that that Dawn dismissed herself as well. The older girl did catch her gaze, and Danika returned the nod.
“Yes, we have much to discuss.”
She watched the blonde depart of only a moment before she looked back to the remaining few.
“Is the conversation too much for anyone else? I prefer not to be disturbed mid argument so if you can’t handle someone else’s opinion, I suggest you leave now.”

Pyro nodded at Kris as he left, and also gave Dawn a slight nod as she left. But as Kris was leaving Pyro noticed a slightly pleased look come across Danikas face. Pyro gave it just a mere glance and than dismissed it and looked away. If Danika and Kris were gonna have some kind of silent battle, might as well stay out of it. He considered Kris a friend, but no doubt the older boy wouldnt want anyone to interefere. Not like it was in Pyro's best interests to do so anyway.
Pyro settled back into the couch. His hair had dried, hed have to remember to rebraid it. He couldnt walk around looking like a girl outside the common room. Another girl, a third year joined the group. Pyro decided to ignore her for the moment. Than Danika added in another comment about anyone else not being able to cope with the conversation. He threw another glance at Danika and than shrugged. "I have to agree, if anyone wants to act like a Hufflepuff girl, your free to leave."

Callie looked oer the group and then shrugged as the older guy left and then Dawn left as well. All well. She looked a those aorund her and shrugged. She went over and sat in a chair closer to the fire. She sat down crossleged and got comfy. She set there and looked aorund her and then Pyro's hair caught her eye. She smiled slightly, showing the hint of a dimple in her left cheek and grabbed her paper and charcoal. She looked aorund and then set to work sketching him. She rather hoped he wouldn't mind, but then again, she didn't plan on telling him about the sketch.
She heard some of them go on about being hufflepuff girls and disagreeing or whatever and mentally roled her eyes. She smiled and looked up through the fall of her hair. I have to say that I never realized how amusing my bretheren coudl be. She grinned and shook her head as she looked back down to her sketch.
