The entire Slytherin Quidditch team was in the middle of a pratice. Everyone sprawled out over the pitch, applying their best. Nearly all of the reserves were playing- due to the fact of starters not able to play. Dawn made this practice to see everyone's best ability and who would move to a starter position. Suddenly, thunder began to roar. Looking up, Dawn noticed dark clouds over head, which she didn't seem to notice before. "Damn!" she shouted as a two lightning bolts cracked and vanished. Rain began to pour over their practice as Dawn shouted towards everyone. "Lightning! Get Out of the air! Out Of The Air!" She exclaimed as she flew length of the pitch alerting everyone. As everyone dismounted and stood in a group on the ground, Dawn said to them- "We'll make this up. Next week, same time. Now Get Inside!" She said as she marched up the hill towards the Castle.
Pushing the Oak doors open, Dawn walked into the main hall drenched. Letting out a heavy sigh- she took out her wand, from deep in her pocket. Circling her wand once, and flicking it at herself she said in an irritated tone "Arefacio." as the clothes on her body changed from completely wet, to completely dry. Her hair was still tightly in a bun and wet. But she didn't mind too much about her hair. Putting her wand away, she took her broom as she went down the four flights of stair towards her common room.
Walking the dungeons, she heard another roar of thunder. The sound of water was in the dungeons. It seemed to be seeping through the ground. It was normal- but luckily no water ever seemed to be in the comforts of the Common room. "Salazar." Dawn said in front of the coat of armor, as it moved aside and shown the arch way towards her Common Room. Walking inside a boom of Thunder echoed again. Setting her broom up against a wall, she made her way towards the sitting area in the middle of the room. Again- taking out her wand she pointed it at herself. A silver mist covered her. Slowly it fadded away as it shown her in a completely different outfit. Instead of her practice gear, she was now in a long thin black cloak, with black pinstrip pants and a creme colored top. Her hair was down, dry, and wavy. It seemed to frame her face which now had black framed glasses on.
Walking the rest of the way towards the sitting area, she pointed her wand at the low flamed fireplace. "Flamora." she said, as the flames blased up almost at the same time another thunder boom appeared. Sitting down in a tall leather back chair, she crossed her right leg over her left knee. Turning towards her left, she pushed away a few extra magizines as she searched for the one she left there earlier in the moring. It was "Q" A Quidditch Magizine, of course. It had anything and everything about Quidditch in its pages. And its thickness showed that. Opening it, she began turning the pages.
Moments later she heard the porthole open again. Wondering who it was, she glanced up from the magize and noticed it was.....

Along with the rest of the team, reserves and starters, Mary practiced out on the Quidditch pitch. It was awful out to tell the truth but nobody was complaining, Quidditch was worth it. She was practicing for her favourite position that day but just as her bat hit the iron ball another crash accompanied the sound of her hit. She heard Dawn, their team captain, order everyone out of the air on account of lightning. “Accio bludger” she said pointing her wand at the iron ball she had just hit and caught it as it speed toward her. Mary made her way down to the ground with everyone else and replaced the bludger in the trunk with the other balls. Stepping into the Slytherin change rooms she smiled and used her wand to dry her hair. She got changed into some normal clothes, brushed her hair, and fixed her makeup.
When she felt she was decent to be seen again Mary gathered her Quidditch things and an umbrella. She walked back to the castle alone with her mind full of the practice she had just been through and what she would need to work on during the one next week. Slowly she walked down the stairs to the Slytherin common room so she could put her things away before deciding what to do with her now free day.
As she passed through the porthole she noticed Dawn sitting not far from the fire and dumped her things by the steps down to the girl’s dorms, she could bring them down later. She plopped herself into a chair by Dawn and closed her eyes relaxing in the warmth of the fire. “The team is looking great. Hopefully we keep this up for the match against Hufflepuff. I just don't understand how we are in third place I mean… we are so much better than any other team don't you agree?” Mary rambled sincerely shocked at their standing.

Noticing it was Mary Evans, a third year and reserved on the team, she grinned at her as she walked towards Dawn. Looking down at her magizine she turned the page and read how the Falmouth Falcons were suspended from their next game due to a brawl on they had on the field. Grinning at how brutal that team was she heard Mary speak towards her. Thinking to herself, 'Mary, actually beginning a conversation with me. Last time we spoke all I got were evil glares from that young witch. Ha, She reminds me of how I was when I was in third year.' Dawn actually was fond of Mary, she had quite a temper which Dawn seemed to like. When she got old enough, and Dawn and her other Queens left Hogwarts she saw Mary taking over the Queen name. But she wouldnt turn to be a Queen for at least two more years.
Laughing, Dawn began to reply. "The Hufflepuff house is revolting! We will be first place next year. I have no doubt in my mind." Dawn finished in a matter of fact tone. The Slytherin team was the most disiplined and deffinatly were better than all the teams. Their only problem was Potter, he always seemed to cheat and get away with it.
Pausing for a moment, Dawn started a conversation with Mary. "So, How do you like the Slytherin house? I mean, I know both of your parents were Slytherin's theirselves. Is it everything your parents said it would be?" she asked as she knew very well Mary's views on Muggle borns. Dawn didn't mind, she just thought differently, of course.

Pyro zoomed around the quidditch pitch. Looking more like a small blur than anything as he chased after the Quaffle time and time again. Pyro enjoyed quidditch, it allowed him to forget any problems. When pyro was playing quidditch all he saw was what was on the field, and nothing else bothered him. He felt something hit his cheek. "hmm?" He slowed and placed his hand on his cheek, when he withdrew it, his hand was wet. As if on que the rest of the rain began to beat down. He shruged. "just a bit of rain" He told himself when suddenly lightning struck, immediatly followed by dawns orders to get down to the ground.
Pyro groaned but did not argue. he did not want to be hit by lightneing at this point in his life. He landed on the ground and slung his firebolt across his shoulders and listened to dawn give out orders. he walked into the teams changing rooms and quickly sliped off the wet quidditch robes and hung them up to allowe them to dry. he quickly changed into some dry clothes. He looked into a mirror and noticed how drenched his hair was. Frowning he removed the brade on his poney tail and shook his head to untangle his hair. He looked at the mirror again and chuckled at the image in the mirror. he always did look like a girl when he let his hair go, wich hung down to right between the shoulder blades.
Hed have to let it dry before he could fix it back up. A throb in his wrist made him look down at the drenched brace he was wearing. He had forgotten about it. he took off the brace, deciding to let it dry before putting it back on. He put it in his pocket. he grabed a blanket it and threw it over him, than grabbing his bag of quidditch equipment and his broom he ran out into the grounds and ran towards the castle. He made it into the castle and discarded the blanket, than made his way down to the common room. He rached the coat of armor. "Salazar" He said and the coat of armor moved to reveal an archway. He steped in and droped his bag and broom with a sigh. He scaned the Common room and noticed Mary and Dawn in a conversation.
He moved near them and heard mary mention something about the quidditch. "Well, well, what are you two ladies talking about? Quidditch? Wonderfull sport, that is, aslong as your captain is aware of the weather conditions." he said with a slight grin and his eyes having a playfull twinkle showing from behind the curtain of hair.

Mary smirked as Dawn expressed disdain for Hufflepuff house. She honestly didn’t care, the only Hufflepuff she really knew was Charlie and she really liked him but didn’t particularly feel like jumping to their defence at the moment. “It would be a travesty should we not be first next year, its already appalling the number of years the bloody Gryffies have won.” Mary agreed with Dawn. She just didn’t understand how they could be in third.
Dawn was in the process of asking her how she felt about Slytherin house as Pyro walked in and asked what they were discussing. He questioned whether or not it was Quidditch and mentioned it being a wonderful sport. She nodded her head in greeting to him before speaking. “Well we were discussing Quidditch and yes it is a marvellous sport. Now please either sit or stand somewhere else, I despise having someone stand over me.” She said gently despite her words. “But now we are discussing the virtues and vices of Slytherin house.”
Turning back to Dawn Mary addressed her question. “As you are well aware I do not agree with all Slytherin house is said to stand for but on the whole it is where I belong so I of course enjoy it. My parents never really discussed it with me though, it was always just assumed I would be here and that was the end of it. I honestly am not the biggest fan of being all the way down in the drafty dungeons but… the decor is lovely and its better than being way up in some tower filled with windows for people to spy through I suppose… In the end all that matters though is that this is where I belong.” Mary said not quite sure how to answer Dawn’s query but hoping that was satisfactory. “And you two? Were you at all disappointed in your first year upon discovering how you would spend your school years?”
Dawn asked Mary the question about the Slytherin house, but was interrupted by Pyro walking in. He was the same year as Mary, and also on the Quidditch team. With a joyous tone, he walked up to the two and assumed they were talking about Quidditch. Looking though her dark framed glasses she raised her eye brows as he added a side comment about her being captian and knowing the weather. "Of course, I knew a storm was comming- but I didn't think it would arrive for another hour. Plus, I didnt think people would be complaining about a little rain." She grinned at Pyro. "Mary didn't vent." she said as she motioned towards Mary. Of course, Dawn's tone was all in good fun. She was in a grand mood lately and deffinatly didnt feel like starting a fight of any sort.
Mary spoke about Pyro sitting down or leaving. "Join us, I would like to hear your view on the question I just asked Mary." Dawn said as she closed her Quidditch magizine and placed it on the table next to her. Crossing her arms over her chest, she listened to Mary's opinion. Nodding she understood. She wasnt that close with her parent, not many people were. "Understandable." she said plainly, but adding on- "Everyone is allowed to feel their own way, and I respect you and only a few other Slytherin's for that fact." She said as she nodded slightly towards her. Mary asked the question back towards her and Pyro. Glancing at Pyro- Dawn began.
"Well, I've only talked to my father about the Slytherin house. Actually it is exactly how he left it." Dawn shrugged. "Of course, when I first arrived as a first year, I hated the fact of being in the dungeons. But in time, I've learned to love it. I like being seperated from the other houses. I would probably try to get transfered if I was living next to a muggle!" Dawn shook her head as she looked down. Pausing for a moment, she began again. "But, as the years went on and I've learned the ropes of this school, what families to trust, where to go in different senarios, what classes to take...etc. I've learned that Hogwarts isn't all that bad. I'd much rather be home schooled by my father. But... hes a bit too busy." she said as a side note.
Turning towards Pyro, she placed her hands on her right knee. "And you....?" she pushed, as she really wanted to know his opinion. She really wasnt close to any younger Slytherin. Of course she knew some of them- like Mary and Pyro from Quidditch, but she didnt know them. She liked the fact that they arrived today and decided to converse with Dawn. She adored learning new things, whether it be learning pasts, presents, or futures.

It was raining, Phoebe could see it. She destested the rain almost as much as she detested some people. She walked slowly down the stairs, into the dungeons listening the the water outside. It was a almost a soothing sound.
She neared the portrait hole and said after saying it's password walked inside. She looked around the common room. She saw various groups of people, seeing people she knew and others she didn't. She sat down and began to sketch. She let the people around her disappear.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Mary and an older Slytherin sat near hear talking about quidditch. Phoebe, being as "sporty" as she was didn't join in the conversation, however. Well, not until she heard them talking about the Slytherin house. She looked up and got up moving closer to where the conversation was.
"Hello, hope you don't mind me joining in," She said as she took a seat by Mary. She sat quietly listening to the conversation not ready to put her opinion on.

Pyro ran a hand through his hair, wincing at the nots he hit. He walked to the back of the couch and placed his hand on it and than jumped over it and landed sitting on the couch. He looked mary. "better?" he asked. Than turned and listened to Mary answer Dawns question. he grined at dawn. "it aint the rain that bothers me, except im forced to do this." He points to his head. "so that it can dry properly, always a pain to get it back. But now lightning, now there is a hazerd."
He leaned back and listened to dawn answer the question. he thought about the question from his point of view. both his parents had been in slytherin. and in turn they both wanted him to get in. When he did get in, he believed it was the first time he actually recieved a moderatly nice owl from his father. he chuckled as he remembered the memory and than noticed that dawn was done and they were looking at him and waiting for him to answer.
"Well, both my parents were in slytherin also. When it was time for me to be sorted I had no doubt i was going into slytheirn. Although I did think it would have been great to see my fathers face had I been placed in....say Gryffindor." He laughed slightly. "But yea, slytherin is great. I believe I would have killed all the other common room mates in other houses. So slytherin is my match. Offcourse, once I got in my father immediatly wanted me to...persue.....other things..." he sighed. than noticed Phoebe. he turned to her.
"yea sure, you can join. what about you? What do you think of Slytherin?"

Kris was out once again. Flying with a thestral actually. Being already in a good mood of just reaching back from Italy, where he took a puppy he found and saved in Hogsmeade, Kris let out a shout of joy, when thunder crashed and rain started pouring down. Kris definitely loved the weather, so he leaned forward edging the thestral to fly even faster. Finally climbing off to the ground, Kris petted the huge animal and fed him some ferrets, before stalking towards the castle.
Drying his black silk-pants and black silk-blouse with red hand-sewn flames sewn onto it’s shoulders Kris grinned at some first year in the Entrance hallway, scaring the kid even worsely than when he would have sneered or scowled at him. Kris just shook his head wondering how someone could be so dumb and stalked towards the Slytherin common room, brushing his still dripping hair out of his eyes. Telling the coat of armor guarding the entrance to the house “Salazar” Kris entered with a smirk still on his face, which didn’t really look half that bad. The weather suited Kris, as he adored storms and thunder and especially lighting as well.
Taking the whole room in with one glance, Kris smiled and made his way towards a small group of people already in the common room. “If it isn’t my favorite little sister,” Kris stated with a smirk as he bowed down and dropped a kiss on Mary’s hair, feeling surprisingly happy for some reason, before he straightened up again and still leaning on the back of Mary’s chair, sent a charming grin towards Dawn and the other Slytherin girl, he didn’t really know, while he greeted the people he did know: “Dawn. Pyro. Practice looked rather good today.”
Grinning at Mary, knowing she would kill him, if Kris would stay behind her much longer especially with his hair dripping rather icy water, Kris moved to sit in an armchair, stretching his legs out in front of him comfortably and tilting his head curiously: “Did I crash some important meeting?”
Soon after Dawn went on about the Slytherin house-yadda yadda yadda- Another girl walked in. She was older than Pyro and Mary, but not as old as Dawn. Not even knowing her name. She sat down with them. Dawn stared at her. She seemed timid, but that didnt stop her, she had no idea who this girl was and it got her a angry that she just came in and didnt introduce herself to the Prefect of her house! Pyro disregarded the girl's entrance untill he was finished talking. Turning her attention to Pyro she spoke. "Ah, yes. Following what your father wanted you to do. i had many of those conversations. But of course- I didn't follow his blessing untill I had the proper superiority." Dawn's tone was reflecting a true Slytherin's, intelligent, cunning, but evil in all the right ways- as she cut her sentace short. Making sure not to say too much than she needed.
As Pyro spoke to the new girl, Dawn did as well. "Excuse me." she said in a flat tone. "Your Name?" she asked. "First impressions are everything my dear." Dawn spoke in a matter-of- fact tone as she awaited a reply.
The porthole again, slid open as an even older Slytherin walked in. But of Course, Dawn was still the oldest. He was a Fifth year, Kris Graas. He said his greeting towards Mary, as he pecked her head. Dawn surely didn't understand this behavior. They we not blood related, and that was a fact- so... how did Mary become his 'sister'? The boy addressed Dawn and Pyro both as he brought up Quidditch. Nodding a stately nod, she grinned at him. Going on- he seemed to be shinning with the aura of a brilliant mood. Of course, Dawn noticed it.
Kris Finally stopped talking as Dawn spoke up. "Sister? Do explain." she said as she looked back from Kris to Mary. The room seemed to pause for a moment as Dawn also added, towards the girl whom seemed to be lacking much knowledge about how she should hold herself on first impressions- "I would like to know, what you think about the Slytherin house?" she voice hissed as she spoke the name. "Do you like it, or would you much rather be in another? Be honest now." she said as she softened her tone and attempted to not be so demanding.

Kris tilted his head and sent a heart-stealing smile toward Dawn: “Sister. I count Mary as a little sister, as she is close enough for me to kill for her should the need arise.” Kris’s eyes flashed with mischief towards Mary – they were close, but they both had their own lives and both Kris and Mary made their own decisions. They were just there to listen, help and to not judge from time to time. “We aren’t related but we’re close,” Kris said calmly with a smirk towards Mary, “Besides I really enjoy annoying her with me calling her ‘lil sis’. It’s amusing.”
Kris annoyedly pushed a strand of his wet hair back again and absent-mindedly petted some random kitten that had wandered down to the common room and curled up in his hand reach. Be in some other house besides Slytherin? Kris couldn’t really imagine it. Never in Hufflepuff, where most people were shy and timid and goody-two-shoes on the whole. Gryffindor with it’s foolish ideas about honor and nobility was also no-good. Ravenclaw – well, the Sorting Hat had thought of Ravenclaw fitting Kris for a very brief moment, but Slytherin was what suited Kris’s nature. He liked the fact that people gave way to him in hallways, that annoying first-years didn’t bother him with requests for tutoring and there were a thousand of other small details Kris appreciated about the Slytherin house. All these thoughts flashed through Kris’s head, but as the question hadn’t been directed to him, he kept silent and waited to hear the other girl’s answer.

Phoebe gave Pyro a little smile as he said she could join. "I'm Phoebe. Phoebe Xiong if you want to know." Phoebe said flatly to the older Slytherin. It seemed that the only one over there that she seemed to know was Mary.
"Well, I love Slytherin. I wouldn't want to be in any other house. I agree with Mary though sort of. I'm not for the whole anti muggle thing but I'm not really against it either. I'm in the middle, but I'm not one of those people who pretend to hate them when i'm around Slytherin's and then when no one else is around, be nice to them. I'm just like whatever. My views have been shifting recently so my answer isn't really a solid one," Phoebe said. As she finished she doubted she was making any sense, but she didn't really care much.
She turned her attention to the boy who came over and gave Mary a rather warm welcome. She sat and watched in silence. She had no comment to make, so she just watched everyone else closely. It was just like her, being the artist that she was, watching for details and being observant.

When Mary finished speaking Dawn said that all were entitled to their own opinions and Mary was one of the few that she respected. This surprised Mary a little bit; she knew Dawn didn’t seem to mind their differing opinions but respect was something Mary had never sought to earn. Not that she was upset by it of course, on the contrary, she was just surprised was all. She gave Dawn a small smile before Dawn began to answer herself.
Pyro, who had finally taken a seat himself, told Phoebe it was fine to join them when she approached. As Dawn directed the question at him Pyro too spoke of how Slytherin was where he belonged and that he wouldn’t be able to stand his housemates were he anyplace else. Mary giggled slightly at the thought of Pyro in Gryffindor red scowling as his dorm mates chattered about silly things. She laughed even harder as she tried to imagine him joining them. But then he spoke of his father attempting to push him into pursuing less talked about ways of life. This caused Mary to cease laughing but she didn’t comment on it because next thing she knew she felt an ice cold drop of water hit her head. She was about to ball out whomever was responsible when Kris gave her a peck on the head and greeted her as his favourite little sister. “Krissy Bear!!! Sit. Join.” She said happy to see him.
He and Dawn then spoke about the sister thing and Kris explained that though they were not blood relation they felt like family. She gave Kris as hard a punch as she could though when he referred to her as his “lil sis” knowing he would barely feel it. She had a bit of a grin on her face though to show she wasn’t really upset but she did hate it when he called her that.
Finally Phoebe had a chance to answer the question herself. When Phoebe had finished Mary looked around at the group surrounding her with a content little smile. Taking note of who was around reminded Mary of the letter she had sent out before Quidditch practice that morning. “Oh Pyro, just thought I would let you know, I mailed my parents this morning but have yet to hear back. Don't worry though, as I said before, they will be thrilled.”
As she wrapped the white tape around her ankle, she winced slightly, thinking for a brief moment whether to just use magic to heal the blisters upon her feet. The thought vanished as quickly as it had come, and she continued to tape up her feet. She sighed in relief and slipped her shoes on, while zipping up the dance bag she had next to her. Kori picked up the water bottle, uncapped it, and took a sip while leaving the empty classroom in which she had been practicing her ballet. She unclipped her hair and let it fall loosely over her shoulder, as she made her way to the Slytherin common room. One thing she hated about the placement of the common room was the stairs. Then again, one couldn't get anywhere without the stairs at Hogwarts. Her feet made slight noises as she ran down the stairs at a slow pace, so jogged rather. She finally reached the portrait hole, muttered the password, and entered the common room while taking another drink of her water. Kori had stumbled upon a small group of Slytherin's, sitting around and talking. Something she never really saw.
She smiled apologetically and took off her shoes, held those in her hands and headed towards the dormitories. Kori wasn't really one to socialize. She was quiet, kept to herself, did her own things on her own and barely had friends she would just sit and talk with. So the less she saw of that small group of friends talking, the better. It pained her sometimes, to see people be something she could never be. Which was happy. Well, Kori herself was partly to blame for being isolated. She never really made any attempt to speak to someone unless she desperately needed something. Kori entered her dorm, put her things on her bed and then sat down, thinking, debating whether or not to go and join them. Or just to stay there and do nothing. The chances of being shunned weren't that bad, and Kori really wouldn't care either way. So what had she to lose? She grabbed her locket which was placed around her neck, and headed back out.
Kori leaned against the wall, wondering if she would be acknowledged or if she would have to acknowlege them. She took this time to glance around and see who was all there. A few she had seen before, but never spoken to really, but one she knew. Kris. She didn't know him too well though, so she really didn't feel any reassured. Kori just stood there, not really shy but, not really outgoing. She didn't know what to say or do. So she stood there. Ready to head back to the dorm in a moment's notice or a lightning flash's of time. It was a habit of Kori to have a quick exit out of any situation she could not handle, but she rarely used that exit. Some how it always ended up alright, and she wondered if this would be a situation as that. Just as Kori was about to leave again, she felt a cough coming on. And she couldn't hold it back. So she quickly brought her hand to her mouth, and tried to stifle the cough as soon as possible. Didn't do any good. She was noticed.

Before the girl could answer kris entered the common room. He looked at kris through his hair and gave him a nod. "sup Kris." He chuckled as Dawn expressed her confusion about Kris calling Mary his lil sis. Once Kris explained it to her the one girl finally began to speak. She told them her name and than what she thought about the Slytherin house.
He looked over at Mary and noticed a certain amuesment in her eyes. He sighed, knowing she was probably picturing him in some place he would hate to be. Than she told him about the letter she had sent off. "right, cool, thanks, let me know once youve heard back from them." Just than another person entered the common room. Pyro looked at her. She walked in but than stood kind of away from the group, looking at them, but not joining them. Pyro had never met her before, but he had seen her around the common room, but had never talked to her. "Hello. Who might you be?"

Kris sent Mary an almost boyish grin as she kicked him as it hadn’t hurt at all. The name ‘Krissy bear’ was also one of the bonuses only Mary was allowed to use, as Kris wouldn’t stand for that kind of behavior from anyone else. If anyone had been that familiar with him, then Kris would already be ripping their egos into pieces with biting comments. Kris listened to Pheobe’s answer calmly – surprisingly many Slytherins weren’t completely against muggles anymore. Kris was one of them as well actually, as he enjoyed using some of muggle inventions such as cars, telephones and motor-bikes. Muggles even had some rather good writers.
Hearing a cough Kris followed Pyro’s eyes and nodded to the girl standing there: “Kori.” For a moment Kris’s eyes lingered at her tied ankle, but Kris didn’t ask – if Kori wanted to share what had happened to her, then she would. If she didn’t want to tell, then asking about it would be pointless. Turning himself so his back was spread out over the couch, Kris let one of his legs tangle down the armchair and leaned the other on the armrest, not bothered at all by the fact that his hair was making the pillow under his head wet. “The advantages of being given way immediately in the hallways and other such details are a real blessing however,” Kris added calmly in a conversational tone while still keeping an eye on everybody in the room – every SLytherin always did so they wouldn’t be caught by surprise.

The first one to acknowledge her was a boy, who seemed to be younger then her. She didn't know him. Kori turned to face the group with a sigh, "I'm Kori." She stated, rather coldly. When she wasn't around a group of people she knew very well, her defenses rang up. And she was cold, harsh even. It was happening at that moment, and Kori was cursing herself for it. Without thinking, Kori pulled up an empty chair and sat down. She began to pull her legs up under her in her usual stance but, caught herself in time. Her ankle was still sore. She listened to Kris speak and caught up on the conversation rather quickly, what's your opinion of being a Slytherin? Do you think of yourself as a conceited rich kid, or is there more to that? And the ribbon came. Pulled itself tighter around her, squeezing, until she thought, OK! I take it back! And it vanished. Kori felt as if she owed it to her grandparent's to voice her opinion, "Being a Slytherin takes a lot more work then other's think. Especially if you don't particularly agree with everyone else on such matters. I'm not saying that I don't agree. But, there are people out there who think equality for all. I mean, there are advantages and disadvantages for being a Slytherin. But more advantages than disadvantages." After she spoke those words, she shut her mouth so abruptly her jaw clicked. She lowered her head, and looked at her fingernails, wishing someone would break the silence that inthralled above her head. Kori continued to pick at the green fingernail polish on her nails, sending flakes of the stuff to the floor. She didn't care. The house elves would get it later. She continued to do this and didn't stop until someone spoke.

Mary spoke as she brought up a letter she wrote to her parents. Thinking back, she also wrote a letter to her father. He did not respond too well. He was against the whole idea. But, Dawn knew that she was 'daddy's little girl' and could bend him to pick her side. At least she thought she could. Her and her father were never close- but as she got older she knew exactly why he acted the way he did. The wizarding world was an extremely hard one and The McGrogan Family needed to hold their name. Looking at Pyro Dawn spoke, "Yes, speaking of Owls. I owled my father. He wasn't exactally thrilled with the message. But we will surely have to arrange a meeting on a weekend where you can meet him and get things worked out." Dawn said as she assured him that she was going to help.
Soon, her attention was taken off of Pyro as a cough sounded. Looking up, she saw it came from a girl not to much younger than her. Pyro spoke to her first as Dawn was intruiged. She seen this girl around only at dinner. She didn't even know her last name! Dawn fell silent as she paused and waited for the girl to react.
Kris noted the girl, as he began to speak. Dawn just listened as she thought in her head. ' You are given way in the halls for Salazar's beliefs, not your own.' His comment seemed to twinge a nerve of hers. As the generations seemed to get younger the Pureblood seemed to vanish. Salazar's views seemed to only stand in true followers. 'I do hope they learn with the years.' Dawn thought. When she was a thrid year, she was great friends with different house members, but was very stand offish around different bloods. But as the years progressed as did Dawn.
Getting out of her thoughts, she glanced back at the girl. She introduced herself and seated near them. Listening to her go on- Dawn grinned wickedly. Kori, seemed like she didnt want to say something wrong- as did no one in a younger year wanted to around Dawn, of course other than Mary. Whom seemed to be the only one in their meeting who stands true to her word of beliefs. "And your last name?" Dawn said as her tone seemed a bit harsh than it was the last minute. She wasnt exactly mad, but disappointed in the younger years.

Kori glanced up, anger flashed in her eyes. Williams. Her name, so common to her mother's extravagant maiden name. It was all her blasted father's fault. And Kori was aware of this. She glared lightly at the older girl, who she knew to be Dawn McGrogan, "Williams." Kori spoke sharply. So sharp in fact, that she bit her tongue in the process. Unlike most people she let it bleed though, and didn't bother whining over it. If Dawn knew about the Williams' Kori would be utterly surprised. The Williams' family was not well liked in the wizarding world. They belonged no where. Too nice to be accepted with all the others and too cruel and hateful to be placed in the friendlier of the two groups. They were stuck and in between. Not many had heard about them. They constantly moved, and usually didn't speak to anyone who wasn't of blood relation. There were only two of them, Arvid and Kori. Her mother had died recently, unknown death. No clues were left behind, but then again...it could have been magic. Kori shook herself from her vivid reverie and looked at the older girl once more, "If you know anything about my family, I'll let you know now, that it isn't at all wise to speak of them at the moment in my presence." She didn't exactly threaten the 6th year, but she didn't exactly request that she talk behind Kori's back instead of to her face. Kori's gaze didn't leave Dawn's, as if challenging the girl to say something. But, she then lowered her head, in shame. Feeling she should know better then to act that way to someone much wiser than herself, she was taught to know her place. This was definitely not her place.

The fifth year girl, Kori, spit fire towards Dawn. Not blinking, she let the young girl speak. Of course, she could all she wanted- Dawn wasn't going to stop her. But when she finished she too would put her own two cents in. An obscene glare was being sent straight to Dawn's eyes. Dawn was actually astonished a girl of her statue, whom seemed to first come off shy and innocent could hold inside the devil. Inside Dawn, her mind screamed for her to simple reach for her wand and put this proletariat virus into her place. But, she took a breath and merely crossed her arms.
"Williams." Dawn spoke, as the girl finished her sentance. "I've heard the name." She said in a suttle tone, but all whom were close to her- or have seen her fight before knew this was only the beginning. This young woman crossed the line. Dawn was in a perfectly good mood untill she had to raise her voice, she didnt only step deyond the line. She wandered into uncharted territory, and there is no way of turning back. Dawn was a well known, Queen of Slytherin. But above the other Queens, she had ties to the school. She was also a Prefect. Strickly going against the young witch's words she began to go on. "Williams, If I do remember right. You mother died not to long ago, eh? Well, probably for the better." Dawn said as she rose her eyebrow egging the girl on.
Taking her right leg off her leg, she pushed herself up from her leather back chair, as she walked towards the girl. Dawn's boots clicked the stone floor as she slowly took one step at a time, as she walked toward the girl. Dawn's eyes, not leaving Kori's- she walked around her once. "Wretched Worm, don't you know what you are Dealing with? Damn right you dont!" Dawn said exclaiming towards the girl, as she stood in front of her. Her eyes were filled with the upmost malevolent look. Nearly the look which was last in her eyes when she was traped in the Hogsmeade library. Dawn stood as she glared at the girl. Narrowing her eyes she spoke slowly as she wanted her to hear every single word she said. "I have done nothing to you, dear. Today is the first day which I have ever spoke to you. First impressions are everything, Please tell me I have said that before!" Dawn said turing towards the others, whom only heard her say that minutes before her arrival. "I rarely give second chances and my dear- today does not look like your lucky day! I'll be Damned if I have to listen to a halfwitted defect like your self. I can break you in a second and anyone in this room can tell you that. Whether they be on my side or yours- they know I have the power.." Dawn said as she took out her wand and twirled it in her fingers. '... to hurt you and to punish you." Dawn hissed as she pointed towards the Slytherin Prefect badge she wore on her cloak over her right brest.
Glaring at the girl, Dawn turned on her heels and walked back to her leather chair. Sitting down, She crossed her right leg over her left. Exactly how she was before she stood. But this time, Dawn's wand was in her lap. Turning towards Kris, Mary, Pyro, and Phoebe as she spoke. "Say something before I get angry." Dawn said as she quickly pushed aside all tention inher voice. The Four of them did nothing to her, they shouldnt suffer her wrath. Dawn wasnt even angry, merely mild tempered if anything. Angry, was something Dawn was no where near reaching.... yet.
