Pyro leaned back in his seat and bascily stayed out of most of the conversations. he heard Dawn say something and brought his attention to her just in time to hear what she was saying. He grinned. "thanks Dawn, although, I aint good in meetings so I dont know how well I will be in changing your fathers mind at all." He sat back and began to fiddle with his hair. It was about dry, hed have to braid it again. That was a pain.
Just than the girl began to speak. Something in pyro told him to pay attention and he reentered the conversation just as the girl seemed to throw a threat at Dawn. Pyro didnt know dawn personally, but he knew this was not going to be good for the girl. Kori he believed she said was her name. Dawn had gotten up and advanced on Kori, pyro watched it all and muttered. "Mental note, dont argue with dawn during practice, or anywhere for that matter." After Dawn got done chewing out kori and made her way back. Pyro gave a short little cough and figured to bring the conversation to what was fresh in his mind. "Yea, so. By what ive been seeing the quidditch team has really been progressing really well."

A cough was heard over by the entranceway to the girl’s dorms where Mary had dropped her Quidditch gear but she ignored it knowing most the others would all turn and make a thing of it. Apparently they had because next thing Mary knew Pyro was inquiring about this person’s identity and Kris greeted them. She approached the group and introduced herself as Kori Williams. She then warned Dawn to keep her mouth shut should she know anything of the Williams’ history. Mary raised her eyebrow at the girl when she said this, looking at her for the first time in fact.
Mary watched as the two girls seemed to be having a staring contest, battle of the wills, but Kori dropped her gaze first. Dawn proceeded to walk around the girl in an overtly threateningly manner. Mary suppressed a giggle and simply smirked at the proceedings as Dawn finished by withdrawing her wand (which Mary knew from personal experience she knew how to use well) and indicating the prefect’s badge hanging on her chest.
Dawn implored somebody speak and Pyro headed her call by brining up Quidditch once more. Mary mock raised a glass in toast as he mentioned Slytherin making progress. “Here, here! And who knew there was room for improvement. Now all we need to do is win that bloody cup.” She said before slumping back in her chair knowing the chances of that were slim to none considering they were in third, this year.

Kris observed the argument between Dawn and Kori curiously, but knowingly stayed away. It didn’t concern him anyways, but as Dawn asked someone else to ask something Kris drawled lazily: “And I was almost hoping for a cat-fight already.” The tone was easy going and the words simple, lowering the tension a bit as Kris observed and analyzed the situation quickly in his head.
“As for quidditch? Who are you playing against at the next match anyway?” Kris asked – he knew how to fly a broom-stick and was about mediocre player, but Kris wasn’t really interested in Quidditch. He only went to see the games in Slytherin was playing as he had friends on the team, “And when is the next match?”
Stretching lazily Kris sat up once again and with a wave of his wand got himself a mug of steaming and strong espresso. Taking a sip, Kris enjoyed the strong taste and raised a calm eye-brow towards the Dawn, Mary and Pyro, as they were on the team: “And as ignorant as it may sound – does Slytherin have a chance to win the cup this year as Mary said?” Leaning back on the couch Kris observed every-body shiededly letting his face fall back into the school emotionless mask, every Slytherin could pull on momentarily.

Kori watched, emotionless. Dawn was angry. So what? Kori knew how to handle anger. She knew punishment. If Dawn was to hurt Kori, so be it. She didn't mind. It wasn't something that scared Kori like most others. As Dawn finished her threats, Kori stood as well. Her height a big difference then Dawn's. Kori was merely 5'2" and she knew she was small for a 15 year old, it didn't matter though...when she was angry she was angry. She crossed her arms defensively over her chest, tilted her head to the side and began, "Do you think I give a damn what you say? Do you think I'm scared? People run from you in the halls, not I. I'm not afraid of you. Though, I do know what you can do. What you are able to do. But, that in the least bit isn't scary. Hurt me. Curse me. Do whatever you want. In the end it won't matter, because I won't care." Kori simply stated, her tone even. Dawn's wand was resting on her lap and Kori's eyes darted to it.
"Seeing as first impressions are everything, this wouldn't count. You apparently do know about my family, you have heard about them. So my impression is nothing, actually quite better than what my parent's sent off. So tell me, do you think your threats are making me quiver in my boots? I know, I'm insane to stand up to you. But, someone has to..." Unfortunately, Kori didn't get to say any of that. She shook her head, as Mary and Pyro began talking. She had been day dreaming it, her eyes were watery but, that wasn't from wanting to cry merely from anger. Kori sighed and tucked a blonde curl behind her ear, listening to the conversation some more. Quidditch. Kori knew how to play, never played on a team. Not really. So she kept her mouth shut. Every now and then biting back a few nasty words. She didn't want hell to break loose. Not really, even though it was a lot of fun sometimes.

As Mary and Kris began to speak pyro stole a glance over at Kori and noticed that she was going to say something but he had probebly cut her off. Oh well, he thought, probably for her own good. he turned to Kris. "Hufflepuff, thats our next match." He nearly laughed outloud as he thought of their next challengers. Hufflepuff hadnt won a single match all year. And their werent going to win one against slytherin. Slytherin would trample Hufflepuff into the dirt.
He thought about the rankings for a second. Slytherin was out of the race for the cup for sure. So he shook his head. "No, I dont believe we have a chance at the cup this year. We are in third. We will beat hufflepuff keeping them in 4th and securing us the third slot, than, if gryffindor beats Ravenclaw it will knock them down to 3rd and us into second, but, if gryffindor wins, then they have a 4-0 record and theres no way to shake them off of 1st. But, we will get them next year."

Sitting across the room from Kori, She glanced at her. her mouth opened slighly and closed. She wanted to say something- but didnt. Dawn heard Mary, Pyro, and Kris speak up in another conversation. Thinking to herself, 'She has a lot of nerve to even raise her voice to me. Wreched twit. But, I do have to say- she is everything I knew she would be. She was holding in anger from her mother's death. Trying to act like everything is fine, when it isnt. Maybe thats the reason she keeps to herself.' Dawn thought. 'My mother is as good as dead.' Dawn paused her thinking and suddenly she agreeed with herself, 'I like her.' Dawn finished as she grinned to herself and looking towards Kori.
Turning back to the conversation Pyro went on about being third. "Yes, We wouldnt be in this spot of Gryffindor didnt cheat. I swear, McGonagall does something to Potter's Broom. I have nothing against the boy- but he never fails." she said as she shrugged off the subject of Quidditch.
Turning towards Pyro she begain. "Change my father's mind. Dont even try. Just when you meet him be honest. If you lie once and he knows... " Dawn stopped mid sentance, taking a breath, she added. ".. Well, never mind. Just be honest, thats the only advice I can give."
The common room fell quiet, as Dawn randomly shot out a subject starter. "Does anyone know what they want to do to when they leave Hogwarts?" she said as her eyes went to everyone sitting around, waiting for someone to reply.

I shouldn't have done what I did but, then again, it made me fell more secure. I just hope I won't have a Queen on my back everywhere I go. God, what a thought, Kori shivered slightly at the thought of that, and quickly stole a glance at Dawn who was also looking at her. Kori's eyes quickly darted to a portrait on the wall, and she studied. She knew what medium it was in, saw the tints and shades, she saw the hues, her eyes were fixed on the painting, tearing it apart. That is until, Dawn raised another topic of conversation. She looked back at the group and smiled wryly. What Kori wanted to do after Hogwarts was no secret, for those who knew her. Kori was an actress, dancer, and singer. What she did after Hogwarts would probably involve theatre, following in her mother's footsteps. Her mother had been a great ballerina in the Russian ballet, her father had been a Swedish violinist.
"I don't know." Kori simply lied. Her voice not quiet but, not too loud. Just loud enough for her whisper to be carried over the group of students who sat in the common room on a stormy night. The storm continued to thunder outside, the sound of rain pattering down on the lake, sounded like a rain stick that her father had made once. Lightening was flashing, and all was illuminated once, then sent back into darkness once more. Kori glanced down at her ankle, and began to untie it. The blisters showing, but she simply tapped it with her wand muttering, "Remedium." And then pulled her foot up under her. Knowing the blisters weren't completely gone but, nearing close to it. Dancing costed but, it was her life. Kori winced slightly but, didn't do much more and looked at the group again. Waiting for anyone to answer, wondering what they were planning on doing after Hogwarts.

Pyro sat qiuetly thinking of the Quidditch stats. Gryffindor was in the lead with 330 points, and Ravenclaw only has a 30 point lead on Slytherin. Catching the Snitch alone gave out 150 points, wich would put slytherin in the lead. But one of the other teams would also have the catch the snitch, putting them in the lead. That is if no one was to score during the game. Pyro was pretty confident that the ravenclaws would be able to defend their goals decently against gryffindor, Gryffindor might be able to score 2 to 4 goals on them, and with potter on the field they would have the snitch for sure, giving gryffindor a final score of 520. A score that would be very tough to beat for slytherin.
Maybe, he thought, if they sabotoge potter. Pyro had to agree with Dawn, McGonagall must be doing something to his broom. So if they could get Potter injured enough to be out of the game, than ravenclaw would surely win. No reserve seeker is gonna have enough experiance to perform well. Than all slytherin would have to do was score atleast 5 to 6 six goals and the snitch and than they could get the cup. He was so lost in thought he nearly missed Dawns question. But he barely caught it and tore his mind away from quidditch.
He hadnt thought much about what he was gonna do after school. He nearly laughed as he thought of what it was his father had wanted him to do. "You must follow the line as all our family has done." His father had always said to him, and pyro knew full well what that was. "Didnt they all die following him?" He had always remarked rather drielly, always angering his father. "THEY DIED GLORIOUSLY IN HIS SERVICE!!!" He had always yelled at pyro. Pyro at always just shruged. "yea, well, they still died." and than would walk off. he looked at Dawn. "Dont really know what I want to do. All I know is it should be something exciting, something fun, something thats gonna surprise me everyday and keep me on my toes."

Kris and Pyro continued the chat about Quidditch while Mary allowed herself to zone out completely. She found herself staring into the fire not caring what anyone around her was saying or doing; all that mattered was the fire popping and cracking in front of her. Her foot began tapping to an inaudible beat and words of the book she had been reading lately ran through her head. As she snapped out of her trance though she forgot all of it and wondered what had just happened, she looked at the fire for a minute and suddenly Dawn is discussion Pyro’s and her father’s meeting.
The question was brought forward, by Dawn, what everyone was planning on doing with their lives after Hogwarts. The first to answer was Kori with a small no idea then Pyro stated her would end up doing something “exciting that will keep him on his toes” she simply rolled her eyes at his naivety; Mary was thirteen yes but that didn’t stop her from being cynical. “As for me, I really haven’t the slightest. My parents plan to have me marry a nice pureblooded boy with a hooded white cloak hanging in his closet and raise nice little pureblood babies to pass on the legacy if not the name…” she stated flatly, that was life and what they wanted; she said nothing of herself, she didn't know what she wanted herself.

She had been in the common room for the greater part of the afternoon. She had never found this so called 'Great Outdoors' extremely fascinating to begin with, and the skies were already a bit too crowded for her liking. She was sitting comfortable in a corner, the latest edition of "Witch Wears" and a sketchbook in her lap when the storm broke out. It was then that more of her house mates began to slowly flood into the room. On occasion she could glane up to see who had entered, not that she cared. It was ture that Slytherins were the best at Hogwarts, but even some in her own house were barely worthy of her time. It was't until a small gathering around an older Slytherin formed that she even vaguly began to listen. Not that she could have avoided it. They were being rather loud. She rose from her chair and moved towards the group.
"What is the point in plans when the wizarding community simply lets itself be run by mudboods and muggles?"

Kris shrugged calmly as Pyro answered his question. He wasn’t particularly interested. Listening to everybody else answering Dawn’s question, Kris smirked: “I get asked this awfully often lately. Had a conversation with Samantha the other day on the same topic basically.” Not commenting any further, as most Slytherins knew the names of the Slytherin Queens who Samantha was part of now, Kris just tilted his head and smirked towards Mary, knowing that she had a too strong will-power to ever do something that boring.
Just then one more girl joined them and commented on Half-bloods and muggle-borns running the magical world. “Really? I don’t see doing some humdrum jobs and pushing paper as running the world,” Kris answered in a steely tone of voice. Something about that comment had irked his nerves, even though his face was coldly emotionless, “Half-bloods and muggle-borns do the jobs that should be below every pure-blood. I don’t know a single Minister of Magic either, who would be a half-blood or a muggle-born. Even Fudge is a pure-blood. An idiot and completely useless but a pure-blood.”
Kris locked his icy stare with the new-comer, speaking with an almost silky tone of voice: “Or do you think you could do much better. Maybe we should just all bow in front of you and let you run the world what ever way you desire? Tough luck, dolly – if you didn’t know it before, then I’m going to have to break the news to you. The world goes round without you as easily as with you. And muggle-borns and half-bloods are useful as cheap workers for dirty jobs.”
Kris smirked coldly and took a sip from his drink. He certainly thought he was better than many others, but Kris would rather use those lower than him than get rid of them completely. Verbal manipulation was Kris’s specialty and for that he needed someone to be manipulated. And Kris even had some good acquaintances who were half-bloods or in a rare case a muggle-born. He saw a way to use them.

It was a boy who reply to her comment first. She was not surprised by the comment--no, males were almost always as ignorant as mudbloods and hardly ever serve much more purpose. Her gaze focused on him, her dark honey brown eyes iced over to blue. Normally her appearance did not change when she entered a more heated conversation, but that small detail she had not mastered full control of yet. Besides that though, she remained rather unchanged. Her voice was the same, strong and foreign tone heavily influenced with a Slavic accent.
"You should bow down to me if you think mudbloods serve any purpose higher than a house elf. They are fifthly, and stupid, and should not be favored by Professors and Headmasters, when they shouldn’t be allowed to a worthly educational program at all."

Dawn listened as Kori merely pushed her subject aside. Soon after Pyro and Mary spoke up. Pyro wanted something to put him on the edge of his seat. Something new and exciting to confront him every moring. Thinking, of course a Dead eater job came in her mind. 'Too bad his mind is stuck in the gutter. But, he would be good.' she said as she studied Pyro. Mary said she wanted a family and what not. Looking at her, Dawn knew she was destined for much more. She will figure out her future in the next few years.
As the group sat, a young girl walked up to them. She spoke of halfbloods and mudbloods- which took Dawn's attention. Watching her, Dawn knew who she was. She was in the Yakov family. She had a striking resemblence of her mother. Dawn remembered a few years back, their parents talking in her presence. But the two were never aquanted, nor have she ever hard of the girl's name. But since Dawn knew of her family, Dawn was sure, she knew of hers. Smirking as Kris spit out towards her. Dawn knew very well, how she would react to his tention towards her.
As their words seemed to die down, Dawn spoke. "Yes, Fudge is a pureblood- but is doing his job to his best. I dont care for the man, but he is doing most things to pureblood likeing." Dawn nodded towards Kris. Turning towards the girl, she grinned. "Finally, someone enters this conversation with the same beliefs as me." Pausing for a moment, Dawn took it upon herself to introduce first. Something she rairly did. "I am Dawn McGrogan, from Scotland." she said as she held out her hand towards the girl to shake her hand.

Another number was added to their ranks as a female voice was heard speaking to the group. She commented on the uselessness of planning for the future when the magical community seemed be run by those she considered inferior. Mary simply sat there bored as Kris and she debated what would be considered running it and Danika expressed the opinion that they should not even have an education. Mary honestly couldn’t care less what was said considering it wouldn’t change how things were done so why bother justify her opinion? As Dawn piped in and introduced herself Mary realised she didn’t know her name yet despite having been in the same house for three years. Seeing as Dawn has already proffered her hand Mary simply gave the girl a court nod “Mary Evans” was all she said before turning and looking back into the fire.

Pyro noticed a few skeptical glances from the people around him as he spoke of what he wanted. He didnt know what their problem was. He just didnt want something boring, like a desk job or something. He decided to drop it and not pursue the subject anymore as yet another girl decided to drop into the conversation. Her and Kris seemed to start out on the wrong foot and the tension between them began to grow. Dawn and Mary had introduced themselfs so Pyro figured to do the same. "Pyro." He said absent mindedly.

Who does this girl think she is? Kori thought, as she looked at the girl who had been oh, so nice to them. Kori's eyebrow furrowed and she listened on. Tapping her foot to keep herself from blowing up again. She listened as introductions were made, wondering if she should introduce herself. She really didn't think she would be seeing this girl again, so why bother. "Kori." She muttered. Then again, why not? Kori looked away, fixing her gaze on the fire as well. Her anger welling up inside. She bit back her opinion and kept quiet.
Finally she couldn't any longer; "No education? Yes, they are low, sure they are nothing but, to have no education? Half of the wizarding population is half blood or less. Do you want them to have no education at all? So Muggles can run over our world? No matter what blood, the wizarding community trys to keep it hidden! No matter how badly we hate it, mudbloods and half-bloods are going to run it as well! So deal with it! It's not like it used to be," Kori shrank in her seat, "God how I wish it were."

(( sorry for the shortness... Im suppost to be away, but I HAD to post ;D ))
Looking away from the new girl, she listened as Kori began to be angry again. This girl came into their conversation with a bad attitude, sure its know for a Slytherin but dont say anything unless you have words to back up your statement. Speaking in her normal tone, Dawn wasnt in the mood to yell anymore. "Kori, There are other schools. Beauxbatons of France, Durmstrang from Sweden and Finland area, Salem Witches Institute from the US. They can easily take in Muggles or Halfbloods. Dumbledore is simple ducking in and inviting anyone to this school." Dawn paused as she added. "At least we can have one house to ourselves. But we are simple falling apart as bad as this school seemed to be."

Normally when someone new spoke to her, she didn’t even bother to give them the respect of letting her gaze settle in there direction. Though, this particular Slytherin was different. She had heard the name before, both in the outside world, and while in Hogwarts. There was no Slytherin, older or younger, who was unaware of Dawn and the McGrogan Wizards. Her focuse immediately dropped from the male who had spoken to her first and was directed towards the sixth year, her own hand extended out to meet Dawn’s with a firm handshake.
“Danika Yakov, of Ukraine, Romania and London – take your pick. And as for having the same opinion, anyone with sense would have that opinion.”
It seemed that the introduction had started a trend as most of the remaining students introduced themselves. She barely sent them a passing look as they did. There was another girl, who she glanced at, then a boy, followed by another girl who seemed to think she had some big, bad opinion of her own. They were letting anyone into Slytherin these days.
“Do not miss quote me. I said worthy education and there is a difference. They should be educated, in some separate shack on the other side of the continent where they will learn ickle firstie spells and how to keep their magic to themselves. That is besides useful skills like how to set a proper table. And if you are willing to roll over and play dead while an over population of low class filth flexes their pathetic muscles, then you are not worthy of the Slytherin crest.”

Kori understood what Dawn said, there were other schools; but then again Hogwarts was one of the best. As Danika began speaking again, saying Kori might not be worthy of wearing the Slytherin crest, Kori stood. Her brown eyes flashing and looking deep at the girl, "You know there are times I wonder. Wonder at all if I am worthy of this crest. So I have my doubts. Besides I'm not the one you should be speaking to about rolling over and playing dead for mudbloods and half-bloods. Not in this room anyway." Kori spoke rather coldly and continued to look at this girl.
"Fine. You're allowed to have an opinion. I just think it's wrong. There is a difference between true hatred of mudbloods and halfbloods, and believing it because you think you have the power to." Kori finished. She smirked before leaving and making her way back to the portrait hole, "Imbecile." She muttered quietly so no one could hear her.

Pyro sat at the couch, staying mainly on the outside of the conversation. He did keep his ear open though to listen to the others speak. He chuckled for it looked like now Kori and the girl who had introduced herself as Danika would get into a verbal fight. “This is just a day for cat fights.” Pyro muttered to himself.
He turned in his seat to face the two. After Kori had spoken her piece, to Pyro’s disappointment, she moved to leave. She was walking towards the exit of the common room. Probably looking for a escape. Pyro had to wonder if this Danika girl would even allow Kori to leave without first responding to Kori’s words.
