The Hogs Head

[Ayumi]

The damp and musty smell filled Ayumi's nostrils as she entered the dark pub. The wooden floor almost felt like it sunk beneath her feet. Her black robe stood still around her. Ayumi looked around, squibs mostly sat in the pub. A group of them were huddled in a corner, no doubt doing something illegal. Ayumi walked pass them, and walked pass a witch who was hooded and was coughing horribly. Ayumi continued walking, clutching her book. She walked towards the bar and waited for someone to attend to her

A man came walking up to her, yet again another squib. He was wiping a class. however, it was still dirty, maybe it was because the rag he was using to wipe it was dirty. "What 'er want?" The man asked in a disgruntled voice.

Ayumi stopped looking at the dirty glass and looked up, "uh I'll just have a butterbeer."

"That 'ell be 10 sicles" The man said, eyeing her.

Ayumi gave him 10 sicles, the man snatched the coin from her hand in a rude matter. Ayumi gave him a vague look as he walked away. He came back with a dusty bottle and almost threw it at her. Ayumi clutched the butterbeer, "You know you otta be more serviceful to your customers." Ayumi said in a rude sarcastic voice.

The man grunted and said, "And ya otta just keep your nose where it bests be missy, I got yer drink ya, what more do you want!"

Ayumi stared at him coldly, her crimson eyes turning into ice, "You filthy squib." she said and walked away towards a table.

The man stood there giving her a disgruntled look, he shook he's head and went back to wiping glasses.

Ayumi sat in a booth and opened her butterbeer. She let out a sigh and took a sip. The warm liquid filled her stomach and gave her a happy feeling. She placed the bottle on the table and opened her book.

Opening to the page she had last left off, she sat back and began endulging herself in the book

[zanna]

Zanna strode around Hogsmeade, she hadn't been here for quite awhile, and the familiar surroundings made her feel comfortable. Being in the wizarding world was so much more better than being in the muggle word. Surrounded by non-magice users. However it was fun to play their simple games, but they quickly would get boring.

Zanna had done a little shopping. She had bought a few goodies from the candy shop. She felt a bit flustered from her long walk around hogsmeade and felt no desire to walk back to the Three Broom Sticks.
She continued walking, her bag swishing and her robe fluttering silently. Ahead of her she spotted the Hogs Head Pub, and stared at the blood hog's head that was postioned on top of the entrance. She grimaced at it and felt a shudder run down her spine.

"I don't want to... but it's best if I freshen up." Zanna said and walked into the pub.

When she entered, a sour smell filled her nose and the sound of manical laughter from the squibs filled her ears. Instantly, Zanna felt uncomfortable. Nevertheless, she walked up to the bar and ordered a butterbeer.

A scrawny man walked up to her, looking very mad. Zanna thought to herself that it would be best to tread lightly with this man.

"What did er says?" The man asked her, very rudely.

Zanna looked taken aback and stared at the man, no doubt he was a squib, they never had any respect. "I asked for a butterbeer sir." Zanna said, trying not to sound angry.

"Eh 10 sicles." He said, holding he's hand out. Zanna stared at he's pudgy fingers in disgust, he's palm was no better. They were covered in brown and green, whatever that was. Zanna quickly took out her pouch and handed him the money.

The man took the money and gave her a dusty bottle. Zanna held it with a napkin. Not wanting to touch the bottle that the man's hand held onto.

"Th-thanks you." She said, and the man grunted in response. She turned around and looked for a suitable place to sit. Somewhere that was far away from the sight of this man. She then spotted a young witch sitting in a booth, deeply indulged in a book. Zanna looked at her black hair and crimson eyes, and began walking towards her. When she reached the booth, she looked down at the girl and smiled. "'ello, is it ok if I take a seat here, my name's Zanna."

[Ayumi]

Ayumi's heart raced, the book she was reading was begining to reach it's hugest turning point. Then she heard someone's voice and she looked up to meet eyes with a girl with Brown hair and blue eyes. She looked as young as her, maybe younger.
Ayumi felt a little mad, this stranger had interrupted her in the most important part of the book. Nevertheless, she forced a smile and pointed to the seat in front of her.
"Well hello, I'm Ayumi." She said, looking at the girl, who looked very clean and proper. "Don't see much of your type here in the hogs head, what brings you here?" Ayumi asked, looking at the girl.

[zanna]

Zanna smiled and took the seat. She struggled to open her butter beer with the napkin that she held, but it was like battling with a tiger.

She decided to take a rest and begin opening the bottle later. As she listened to Ayumi, she watched her Crimson eyes, they we're so... different. When she noticed that Ayumi was staring back at her, she decided that she was waiting for an answer.

"What do you mean "type"?" she said looking a little hurt. "I'm no different from you." She added almost offensively

[Ayumi]

Ayumi looked at Zanna, she seemed quite offended by her question. She tried to think about what she said wrong and then laughed. "Oh no, I just meant what are you doing here, I mean you're so clean and proper, as you can tell, that's not very common here." She said smiling.
She took a sip of her butterbeer and noticed at the corner of her eye that the man at the bar was looking at her suspicsiously. She fidgeted in her seat and looked back at Zanna, and noticed her still closed butterbeer.
"You need help with that" she asked.

[zanna]

Zanna softened her face instantly, it now held a sheepish look. "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were asking something offensive." She said managing a smile. "Well, I was kinda tired and this was the only pub that I could find, I was too tired to walk back to the Three Broon Sticks."

Zanna stared helplessly at her butterbeer, which was still closed. She then looked back to see Ayumi fidget in her seat, thinking it was just her eye, she ignored it. Then she heard Ayumi's offer.

Zanna smiled and said, " Yes please!" and then let out a giggle

[Ayumi]

Ayumi smiled at her reply, "As proper as she may be, she's lazy." She said in her head. When Zanna pushed her bottle towards Ayumi, she took it as a yes and swiftly opened it. "There that wasn't so hard, now was it?" She said with a grin.
Ayumi turned around to meet eyes with the man again. She fidgeted again, and the man quickly turned around. She glared at him, and then back at Zanna.

Zanna grabbed the bottle, after Ayumi opened it and took a long sip from it. She slammed the bottle back on the table and let out a satisfied sigh. "Actually that was very hard, I mean did you see those hands that barkeep had, they were just disgusting." She said with a grim face.
She then noticed Ayumi fidget again and then glare. She knew something was up. "Anything up, what's with the glare?" Zanna said in concern

[Ayumi]

Ayumi laughed with Zanna, that squib did look really shabby. Wasn't smart to trust this place, especially with that squib constantly looking at their table.
Ayumi took a final glance at the squib, he was really watching them. She gave him a cold stare again. And jumped at Zanna's question.
She looked at Zanna and talked in a hurridly matter, "That squib over there is giving us some dirty looks and he's been watching us." She dropped her voice, I think we should send him a message from us witches. She said grinning.

[zanna]

Zanna's face turned in worry, "ew, he's watching us, why would he do that, he's a squib, ew..." Her voice trailed, but she looked up in surprise at Ayumi. "what do you mean give him a surprise?" She sat back and eyed Ayumi.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi looked back at the barkeep, the squib was dealing with another customer.
"Look, you know what I mean give him a surprise, let's give him a little juice." She said with an evil grin, pulling her wand out of her robe.
"You familiar with Windgardium Leviosa?" Ayumi asked.

[zanna]

Zanna continued to eye Ayumi, who was currently holding out her wand and staring from Zanna, to her empty bottle and to the barkeep. Suddenly her eyes widened both in excitment and in fright.

"No way, your not thinking, but we'll be in big trouble!" Zanna said in a loud voice.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi smiled, she watched as Zanna quickly put two and two together, well maybe three and three.
"Lower your voice will ya, no we won't get in trouble he's a bloody squib, best he can do is throw a dirty look, come on Zanna, cut the goodie girl act, you know you want to do it." Ayumi said with a huge grin on her face.

[zanna]

Zanna dropped her worried look and looked down at her fingers. She idly played with them, then took out her wand. She lifted her face and had the same grin.

"Let's show that filthy squib some manners." She said and stood up, taking her final gulps of her butterbeer, and looking down at Ayumi.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi got up and grabbed her book. She waited for Zanna to finish her drink and walked a couple of feet away from the booth.
When she was satisfied with her distance, she lifted her wand and flicked it, "Windgardium Leviosa!"
And her bottle began to rise from the table. She guided it towards the barkeep, and looked back at Zanna.

[zanna]

"Windgardium Leviosa!" Zanna pronounced after a flick with her wand. She followed Ayumi's bottle and waited for Ayumi's signal.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi looked hesitantly at Zanna who had cast the spell and was sending her bottle next to her's. She looked at Zanna and winked.
"Hey squib, here's a lesson on what happens when you mistreat us witches!" Ayumi yelled
The whole pub was watching her and Zanna, she smiled. The squib looked at them with maniacal eyes when he saw the levitating bottles, they were right on top of him.
"What the bloody hell do yerrs think yer doing?!" The squib yelled his eyes bulging and his face was turning beet red.
Ayumi grinned at him and looked at Zanna,"Now!" she said and released the spell. Instantly the bottle fell and crashed near the squib. He sent out a shriek and jumped over the bar.
Ayumi doubled over in laugther and placed her wand back into her robe. She turned around and ran out of the Hog's Head, with the squib following her.

[zanna]

Zanna followed Ayumi and laughed at her remark to the Squib. She laughed even harder when she saw he's bulging eyes and beet red face. She heard Ayumi yell "NOW!" and instantly dropped the bottle.

The sound of both bottles crashing rang thorughout her ears, and she laughed hysterically as the squib jumped over the counter. She turned around, brushing tears from her eyes and followed Ayumi as they ran out of the pub.

They both were laughing hysterically now, the squib behind them yelling such nasty curses.

"That was riveting!" Zanna said through tears and laughter," but now we gotta lose him, he really wants to get us!" She said, as she quickened her run.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi continued laughing, both her and Zanna were now half-way across Hogsmeade, the squib still after them.
"Oh wow, he is not gonna give up!" SHe said laughing.
She quickened her pace and caught up with Zanna. She heard a thump and looked behind them, the squib had fallen. SHe laughed even harder and almost fell.
Then in the corner of her eye, she spotted an alley, quickly, she ran towards it, pulling Zanna.
She crouched down and covered her mouth. Trying her best to blend with the shadows and to muffle her laughter. She looked at Zanna and felt tears fall down her hand.

[zanna]

Zanna heard Ayumi's laughter and saw her catch up to her, "Oh man, this squib is fast!" She said loking behind her, then she saw the squib fall with a loud "THUMP!" She let out a huge laugh and felt Ayumi pull her into an Alley, still laughing, she watched as Ayumi crouched down and slink agaisnt the wall, she did the same, laughing hard. Ayumi looked at her and she saw her hand on her mouth, even though her laugh was muffled, Ayumi had tears rolling down her hand. Zanna covered and mouth and listened to the squib as she passed the alley, still swearing.

Ayumi and her sat there for a few minutes stfuling their laughters. "That was awesome!" She said, but then quieted as the squib came back. Apparently he ran out of hogsmeade and had given up on his hunt. He walked pass them, swearing even more harshly and soo he's voice faded.

Zanna let out a sigh of relief both from the chase and from the laughter. "Ayumi, you are one crazy but cool witch!" She said
