The Hogs Head

[Ayumi]

Ayumi began to calm down, and listened as the squib passed them. She turned back to Zanna and said,"Yeah I know!" but the silenced herself as the squib returned, he's voice coming, then fading. This was no doubt the most exciting day of her life.
When the Squib was gone, she stood up and held out a hand to help Zanna, "Thanks Zanna, but that squib was really getting to me." She said after Zanna's compliment.
She brushed some dirt off her robe and walked out of the alley. She sighed and stretched her hands out, "Well Zanna, what do ya suppose we do now?" She said and turned around and stared at Zanna

Zanna had already calmed down and smiled at Ayumi's reply. She grasped Ayumi's outstretched hand an lifted herself up. "Oh boy, i don't think I've laughed like that for I dunno how long!" she said enthusiastically. She stood up and shook her robe so that the muck would come off. She looked down at her robe and was happy to see that it was back to it's normal dark blue state.

She looked up at Ayumi and replied," I dunno, let's go where to our heart's content!" She said walking down the road of Hogsmeade wiht doubt in her mind but with confindence in her heart." She turned around and looked at Ayumi, "Well are you comin'n?"

Ayumi watched Zanna walked down the road of Hogsmeade, "You bet I'm coming!" she said catching up to Zanna and walking down with her, not knowing where they were going exactly.

Chess was sitting in the back of a wizarding pub in Hogsmeade, Hogshead. Sipping a cup of coffee he was reading the Daily Profit when he suddenly saw something happen around the bar. The owner of Hogshead had a few bottles threw at him as he winced to dart them. Looking off the top of his reading glasses, chess saw two girls run out of the pub laughing and giggling.

Putting his paper down. He pushed it to the side of the table. Taking his glasses off his face he put them in his glasses case as he took out his wand. With a flick of his wrist he was gone in a *BANG*

With out a seconds noticed, Chess appeared at his home, in a study. Walking towards large books he had stacked on his desk he opened on. The side binder read, 'Hogwarts First Years.' These books had details of all the students in Hogwarts. Every teacher had them. Opening the book up he turned the pages looking for the two girls which were in Hogshead. "Ahh, here we go." he said as he took his glasses out. Dipping his quill in an ink jar set on the table he wrote down their names. "Zanna Kween and Ayumi Kimoto." After writing a breif letter he folded it up and walked over to his owl in the corner. "Give this to the Ministy of Magic, Its Urgent." his low voice sounded as he grabbed his wand and left in a *BANG*

Quickly appearing at the Gates of Hogsmeade Chess held his wand at his side as his dark blue cloak trailed behind him. The bartender ran past him, as Chess turned around. 'I didnt see the girls back there.' he thought as Chess turned back around and walked the opposite directon on the man running. Not many people were in Hogsmeade at this time, so it would be easy to find them. Walking past a few alleys, no one was in them. Tapping the tip of his wand on his leg he walked past another. He heard laughing comming from with in. Walking toward it, their stood the two girls reminising over what had just happened.

"Expelliarmus! Expelliarmus!" Chess sounded as The two girl's wands flew toward his free left hand. Catching them he put them in his pocket as he started on the two. "Dear Girls, It is rule for all wizarding students out outside of the school Are NOT allowed to practice magic!" he roared as he walked up to them and stopped. "I am Professor Chess Frostner. I am a new detentions cordinator at your school, Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry, which you were suppost to be starting in september. But with the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Undersage Sorcery, you two might not even see the first day!" he glared at the two girls. "I sent the Ministy of Magic an OWL, but I bet they already knew about it. Plus, Why did you attack the bartender like that? He wasnt anywhere near you two!" Chess boomed as he crossed his arms and waited for an answer out of one of the two girls. "Explain yourselves!" He said.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi felt her wand fly out of her hand, quickly she turned around to meet the face of a very stern man. Ayumi saw that he was holding both her's and Zanna's wands. Ayumi froze, she knew they were in big trouble. Thoughts ran through her hand, not going to hogwarts, failing her family name, ruining her chances of becoming a new person... Ayumi could not allow this!
She tried to find the right words, but only lies flew into her head so she decided to tell the cold hard truth.
"Sir, if I may explain... I attacked that squib with using my magic because, well because I felt that he was violating me or rather us, and well I understand that I took rather drastic measures to show that squib how to treat us with respect. My deepest apologizes sir..."Ayumi said as her voice trailed off.

Chess listened as the first girl went on with her reason. " Violating you. Give me a reason how? I was sitting in the pub with you and I didnt see much going on. All I heard was laughing coming from you two!" he roared and went on. "Secondly, neither of you should he holding your wands during the summer. I can only think you had them with you because you were planning to use magic!" he exclaimed as he set it in thick to the girls in front of him.

With his arms still crossed he looked at the girl that spoke up first and said, "Respect! Miss Kimoto, you are a Halfblood, Not much above a squib in the blood status. And you Miss Kween, a Muggleborn, hardly anything for either of you to be calling him a 'squib' in a crude way! Hardly anything that you should be saying respect." he roared as she narrowed his eyes at the two. "Appologies wont do good a'tall now. Owls should be on their way to your parents at this very moment. I do hope you regret what you have done!" Chess said as he turned around and started to walk out of the alley. "I will be sending your wands home. So your parents can deal with them." Chess said as she flicked his own wand and vanished in a *BANG*.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi shriveled both in fear and terror as the Professor raged at them. She hadn't thought that it would bring this much trouble upon her. She felt even more guilty knowing that Zanna was also part of her little game, which was not so fun. Ayumi took a quick glance at Zanna and then back at the Professor.
Ayumi flinched at the thought of her mother knowing of her little fun game that she had started. This was defintily not good she thought. She looked at the professor who was already walking off and then disappeared with a *BANG*
Ayumi's nerves calmed a bit but she was still tense. She looked at Zanna and tried not to think about what happened. "Look Zanna I'm really sorry I didn't know, honestly I didn't. I guess I'm just trouble, you might not want to be around me anymore..." Ayumi said her voice trailing off.

Zanna stood still as if frozen by an artic wind, the professor looming over them was enough to tell that they were both in serious trouble. She absorbed every word he had exclaimed and wrinkled at the thought of her father discovering her little dilidand. She caught a glimpse of Ayumi's face, who looked a her then back the the professor. Zanna kept her eyes locked on him. She thought in her head a little joke, "He's name does live up to him, he's a total frost head."
When she exited her thoughts, she watched as the professor walked away and disappeared with a loud sound. She let out a slight giggle and then turned to Ayumi who was apologizing.
"No worries Ayumi, I'll still be your buddy, just don't think of something crazy like that again, might I suggest we actually THROW bottles at him next time." Zanna said with a smile.

[Ayumi]

Ayumi smiled, she was amazed at the fact that Zanna was so cheerful, even though she was in grave trouble. "Yes let's throw bottles at him next time." She said grinning, she walked out of the alley and stretched, her smile faded as she thought of what her mother would say to her after she discovered this. Whatever it was, it was not good. She turned around and met Zanna's gaze, "aren't you worried about what might happen when you get home?" Ayumi question to the smiling Zanna.

Zanna cracked a few bones as she exited the alley after Ayumi. She smiled, though inside, she couldn't help but mourn the loss of her wand. Truth be told, she wasn't at all worried about what her father would say, sure her would be mad, but he wouldn't go crazy. That's what she loved about her dad, he was a man of second chances.

She stared at Ayumi's grave face, a knew that Ayumi was in for it, "Well Ayumi" she said, "My father's a man of second chances, let's just put it at that." She said smiling.

"Besides, that professor, he totally lives up to he's name, he barks are worse than he's bite, that is unless he hits you with an air of frostbite." She said grinning, her eyes glowing trying to lighten up Ayumi's grave mood.

"Tell you what, let's get some ice cream, that'll cool us off, but if ya think about it, that encounter has left me with a craving of hot coco." She said as she started down the road towards a pleasant little cafe' "Let's go Ayumi!" She said beckoning Ayumi to follow.

Ayumi's mood lightened, she liked Zanna, she was a up beat and carefree person. It was good to see that at least one of them was dealing with the crisis smoothly.
She giggled at Zanna's remark, it was true, "That Chess Frostner, why not just name him Professor Frostbite." She said laughing. She watched as Zanna walked down the road, blabbing about ice cream and hot coco, she walked after her, "Actually, I DO feel the need for that hot coco." Ayumi said as her and Zanna walked towards the Cafe'.

Zanna smiled as she heard Ayumi's footsteps follow behind her's. She knew that Ayumi was feeling better, and was feeling much better herself. She flipped her hair back and ruffled her dark blue robe. She smiled at Ayumi and opened the door to the cafe'. She walked into the cafe' and breathed in it's lucsious and tongued drooling smells of cookies, cakes, brownies, and so much more. Walking dreamily, she sat herself down on a cushioned chair and inhaled the delicious scent. She stopped sniffinf when a waitress walked up to them. "What'll be dears?" She asked.
Zanna looked up and smiled, "Well have two warm vanilla fudge and one brownie." she said.
The witch noted that on her pad and walked away. Zanna looked back at Ayumi and said, "A halfblood, blimey, I wouldn't have guessed, you've got eyes like a serpent, would'ave guessed you were a pureblood."

[Ayumi]

Ayumi followed Zanna down the road and walked into the cafe'. She was welcomed by a sweet fudgy smell and instantly felt warm and comfortable inside. She tooka seat into the cushioned seat and felt even better, all her worries evaporated like water did in the air. And she lay her book down on the table and placed her hands across it.
She watched as the waitress came to the table, and when she was about to answer, she heard Zanna's voice already order for the both of them. Shrugging it off, she looked bath at Zanna who had asked her an intriguing question.
Ayumi sighed and thought of a way to answer this."Yes I am a halfblood, my mom's a witch and my dad's a muggle. Why, hm well my family, the kimoto's are a proud pureblood generation, filthy rich mind you, just too stink'n proud and stuck up" she said smiling," but my mom, well she just wanted something else I guess, what you call that thing love and what not and guess she was happy with my dad." Ayumi said, quieting down. Then she rebounded the question. "As for you, a mudblood, muggle born is more nicer, but anyway, yeah have any idea as to how the heck you got like that?"

[zanna]

Zanna was startled by both Ayumi's response and question. "Wow, your family a generation of puries, but broken by your mother, a rebel she is" She said laughing. She shut her mouth when their orders were placed on the table. She smiled at the waitress and took a bite out of her brownie, then another, then a long sip from her vanilla fudge. "It felt soothing to eat such sweet things." She thought to herself.

"Well, not really, you see, I'm the first witch in my family, so I have no stink'n clue. Strange it's got'sto be, my mom died, so I don't really know much about my family name, but they were all muggles. Guess I'm the freak" she said with a doubtful gaze

[Ayumi]

Ayumi took a sip of the vanilla fudge that lay in front of her, "whatever Zanna ordered, it was really good." she thought to herself as she took another ship. Ayumi listened to Zanna's response, it seemed like she didn't have a clue about her family name.
"Look I'm sorry about your mother, but what do you mean FREAK, being a witch is not freaky." Ayumi said in a disgruntled voice, calling witches was not cool, in her book.
She stared at Zanna from her cup waiting for a response.

[zanna]

Zanna continued to drink from her fudge vanilla, having already finished her brownie. She was content, but then saw Ayumi's disgruntled look. No doubt she was mad at her remark about her saying she was a freak.

"Well I didn't mean that being a witch is freaky, or some sort like that, I just mean well my dad would always have this remark, ah here's my little freak. You know something like that, not something that I approve of, but makes me think, is that how muggles see me, or rather, is that how my family sees me?" Zanna said with a downcast look as she drank her fudge vanilla.

[Ayumi]

Aymui placed her finished coffee on the table and looked at Zanna who seemed to be a little down. Feeling that she had down enough bad for the day, she stood up and began speaking. "Look I don't know what to say about how your dad sees you or some sort like that, but understand that all muggles will see us all like that. You know, my father couldn't stare me in the eye the first few months he found out about me being a witch and all. But he adjusted. He may be a muggle, and I may be a witch , but we are human, and it takes time for us to understand and adjust. Maybe your dad just doesn't understand the importance of you being a witch and all." Ayumi said with deep confidence.
She then dug into her pocket and took out 2 sicles and left lay them on the table.
"Look I have to get home, so I'll see you sometime later, so bye for now." She said casting a final glance at Zanna and finally walking out of the cafe' towards home, which now didn't seem so welcoming.

Zanna continued drinking, and lifted her head at Ayumi's response, she felt better hearing something like that, because in a way, it was logical. She looked up to see that Ayumi was laying down two sicles and saying her farewell.

"Until next time kimoto." Zanna said as Ayumi exited the cafe'.

Zanna watched her fade off into the distance and finished her coffee. She sighed and left her money on the table and set off for home. Ayumi's words still playing in her head.
