After Pyro crashed back to the ground he bit his lip to stop his painful yell. Luckily he manged to keep it all behind his lips in a muffled growl. He breathed deeply in with his nose and let it out slowly. The breath came out a bit faulty and Pyro noticed that if he breathed in to deep, there was a stab of pain from his side. Just than the Slytherin girl that had not been there during the attack knelt beside him and offered him a hand. Pyro looked at her hand and than at her. He shook his head. "No, don't worry. I'm alright, just....ah.." He searched for the right word. "Shocked! That's it, just a bit shocked. I can get up myself."
This time as he attempted to get up he tried a different approach. Instead of trying to get up the legitimate way. He pushed with his feet backward into the pillar. He used the pillar as a support as he slowly began to rise. Putting his feet underneath of him and continuing to push. Finally he was up. Leaning heavily on the pillar, his side screamed at him worse than a housewife yelling at her husband who had forgotten to take out the garbage. He held his side with one hand and bit his lip to hold back the cry of pain that wanted to come out. His breath was faltering as he tried to get the pain under control. He coughed and was immediately grossed out as he had to swallow back a thick liquid substance that had come up with his cough. It tasted strangely of blood.
He turned to the girl next to him. "See...." He said, a bit strained and wincing. "No prob....." Pyro scanned the room and spotted the closest chair that was intact and took a staggering step to ward it. His side continued to complain with each step and it seemed like he walked a thousand miles before he finally reached the chair and collapsed heavily into it. He coughed once more, covering his mouth with his hand. Forcing the substance back once more. Pyro glanced at his hand in surprise for a moment and than dropped into his lap. "I am....was up." He said in answer to Madison's question. "Give me a few minuets and I'll be up again."
Pyro couldn't help but wonder where the Professors were. Those Death Eaters had been running, which suggests that they had attacked somewhere in the castle. Why was it taking the Professors so long to give chase?

Fiona shook her head as Pyro disregarded her offer. She knew he probably would before she offered, but she couldn't help feeling a little out of place among the disaster. She watched as he slowly stood and she noticed his hard breathing as well as his grimace at the pain. He turned to look at her and tried to prove that he could do it by saying "See, No prob." Fiona held back the protest she was about to issue at him and instead just nodded her head in agreement. She knew he would never accept her help, from everything she had ever heard about him he would never accept anyones help.
Fiona leaned against the wall as he stumbled to a chair to sit down. The others were beginning to actually get up themselves and she would never admit it, but she was glad to see that no one was hurt too badly, other than Pyro whose pain seemed to be overwhelming. Fiona didn't know why it was taking so long for the teachers to show up. With all the racket the Death Eaters had caused she figured they'd be right behind her. Fiona spoke to the others, "What's taking the Professors so long to get here?" Fiona looked to the others as she waited for someone to answer.

Post by Argus Filch on Jul 19, 2005 8:37:11 GMT
Filch moved about the hallways of the castle with his customary scowl on his old and bristly face. He mumbled and grumbled to himself as he opened up doors to empty classrooms and shining his lantern into the dark room to see if anything was amiss. Satisfied with this classroom he moved onto the next, and the next after that. Suddenly, there came a noise from one classroom and Filch approached it cautiously. He opened the door and there was a explosion of motion and feathers. A flock of beards escaped out and Filch fell back in shock and landed on the ground with a thud. The birds escaped the classroom in what seemed like a endless line. Finally they flock seemed to thin out and Filch stepped into the class and looked at the carnage within. Bird droppings and feathers covered the entire class.
"PEEVES!!!!!" Filch screamed. Knowing full well that that pesky poltergeist was behind this. Before he could do anything though there was a crashing sound above him. Filch looked up at the ceiling as a huge ruckus broke out above him. Sounded like a battle. Filch quickly rushed down the hallway, moving aside a tapestry and stepping into a secrete tunnel he came out on the floor where the sounds had come from. It was quiet now. The student lounge stood before him. Voices could be heard coming from within. As Filch looked at the hall leading to the lounge he noticed that the walls were chipped as if spells had bounced off them.
Filch ran to the door of the lounge and stopped in the doorway, looking at the destruction within. Furniture was broke and thrown about the room. Across from him a window had been blown open. A old Ravenclaw boy was standing in front of it. Within the lounge stood a group of students, some Slytherins and Gryffindors. What could have happened? Gryffindors and Slytherins didn't get along well. Could they have battled? "Alright!" Barked Filch as he stepped into the lounge. "Whats going on here? What happened here?" He looked at the each of the students gathered. He than walked up to the boy at the window. Filch recognized him as the Prokenstien boy. "You, Prokenstien. What happened here? Explain?"

Post by Professor Minerva McGonagall on Jul 23, 2005 8:22:52 GMT
Death Eaters were attacking the castle. It was inconceivable. With her wand at the ready Minerva rushed after the escaping death eaters. The death eaters were younger then her, so they did manage to rush away, especially since Minerva stopped to help a young girl who had just been in the wrong place in the wrong time. The girl came to her senses again and Minerva sent her off to the hospital wing before rushing forward to the student lounge where a lot of sound was heard.
Argus Filch entered the student lounge mere moments before Minerva. Stopping at the doorway, Minerva pushed a hand to her rapidly beating heart and looked over the situation. “Death eaters attacked, Argus,” Minerva told the care-keeper in explanation before the Ravenclaw boy – Prokenstien – could start explaining. What had happened here was obvious enough. Taking control of the situation Minerva rushed into the room looking at the SLytherin boy who had blood dripping from his mouth corner. “Mr. Prokenstien, ms. Holden help mr. Blackfire and ms. Logton go to the Hospital Wing, please,” McGonagall ordered with authority, “Ms. O’Reilly, are you wounded? If no, then you can tell me what exactly happened here.”

Fiona stood dumbfounded as Filch entered the lounge almost accusing everyone there that they did something. Fiona was about to interrupt him when Professor McGonagall ran into the room. Fiona was surprised and slightly flustered when Professor McGonagall ordered her to explain.
"No Professor, I'm not hurt. Three Death Eaters attacked them. I was standing in the hall and saw the whole thing. The Death Eaters ran in and attacked all but Holden. They, then, jumped out of the window. The Ravenclaw boy entered the room not too long after they left. He revived them." Fiona left out the part about her entering long after the others had come around. She didn't want the Professor to think she had anything to do with the attack. In truth, Fiona was slightly shocked that the people she had looked up to the most all her childhood would attack students. Fiona looked back at the Professor waiting to see what she was going to say.

Jaquin left the window to inquire the younger students about what had occurred when a tumultuous scream errupted from just outside the lounge. It was such a loud scream that Jaquin jumped about a foot in trepidation, but recognized that the scream belonged to Mr. Filch and it's tone was not a happy one. He glanced around wildly at the destroyed lounge immediately realized that he should not have stayed for such a long time; Filch would think that he had done it and would think that they were the culprits. Instantaneously, Filch appeared at the door way, looking extremely angry and possibly mad. Jaquin tried to look as ingenuous as possible while staring anywhere but at Filch, the caretaker who had a nasty reputation for wanting to hang students from their ankles from the ceiling. He looked around at the depredated room, attempting to hide some of the chairs from the room. After a few seconds, Filch asked him to explain what had happened. Just then, Professor McGonagall arrived and Jaquin could not answer. She asked him to go to the Hospital Wing, however, Jaquin answered indignantly, "I'm not hurt! However, the rest of them.-He pointed to the other students.- were caught in the crossfire. It was the Death Eaters, Professor McGonagall.-He heard the Slytherin girl explain and decided to back up her statement.- They seemed to have destroyed this room in their hurry to leave. When I was heading back up to the castle from Hagrid's, I saw several figures, three to be exact, sprinting towards the Forbidden Forest and I realized that they had come from somewhere around here. I came to investigate and found the student lounge in ruins." Jaquin stopped for a moment to catch his breath as he had said all this extremely quickly, then inquired worriedly, "What were they doing here, Professor? Why would the Death Eaters want to attack students just for the sake of attacking students? Was there anything stolen or were they after Potter?"

First Filch, then McGonagall. Mack listened to the instructions the Transfiguration professor gave her and the Ravenclaw, and walked over to Pyro to help him up. Fiona started to explain what happened and the Ravenclaw did the same. Mack narrowed her eyebrows as she slipped an arm around Pyro to help him stand, nearly falling to the ground- she wasn't the strongest of people. Mack sighed and looked at the Ravenclaw boy, "Hey! Genius! Professor McGonagall said to escort Pyro to the Hospital Wing, not stand around and repeat just about everything Fiona just said." She snapped at him.
"Honestly..." She muttered quietly to Pyro, "You would think with that big brain of his he would pay attention."

Ms. O’Reilly started to explain about the attack. McGonagall nodded as she pursued her lips into a tight line upon hearing the story. She had thought something like this might have happened. Fortunately all the students so far could be revived. O’Reilly finished her conclusion and mr. Prokenstien started to give his view of the situation. He agreed with the facts the Slytherin girl had already stated while adding the useful little detail about the death eaters escaping to the Forest. This fact would have to be looked at closer.
But the boy had obviously not listened to her as attentively as the situation demanded, so Minerva sent a stern look at him over the rim of her glasses. “Thank you for your explanation, however this is NOT the time for jokes. I believe I requested you to HELP the wounded students. Obviously not all of them are in good enough state to go to the Hospital Wing themselves. And ms. Holden, I do not appreciate such words about your school-mates. You shall all be told everything you need to know about the attack in right time. Now, please, help your wounded school-mates.”
Minerva turned her attention to O’Reilly again and nodded at her: “Thank you for explaining me what happened here. Please go to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom and tell the Headmaster that an attack has taken place here too. Argus, could you please go and see if there are any more hurt students somewhere in the hallways.” Nodding to everyone after giving direction, Minerva turned and left the student lounge with her wand at ready if there should be any more trouble to be expected. Moving quickly down the hallways McGonagall moved towards the Forest. There would be no hope in catching them anymore, but they might have hurt more students on their way.

Cassandra supported herself up on the table as she looked up bleary eyed one more time. Relief flooded her as she saw Filch walk in, and then Professor McGonogall. Extremely dizzy, she tried to keep up with the conversation that was going on between the adults and the students. Even though her head hurt, she could tell that older Ravenclaw's boys answer was pompous. Blacking out for a second, she came too long enough to here McGonogall give an angry retort to Mack.
Trying to stand up on her own two feet, she rubbed her bleeding head. " Professor, Pyro and I are fine. Besides, I should get to the common room and che-" Cass' words were cut off as she fell against the table. She couldn't keep her balance, and she guessed that she had a bad concussion. " Mack, could you please help me get my bearings?"

No sooner had Pyro sat down and the thought passed his mind that Filch came bursting into the room. Pyro watched, and could clearly see, Filch's mind working and as usual, come to the wrong conclusion. Filch moved to Jaquin and asked what had happened. "Hey! Idio......" He was going to finish with: isn't it obvious what happened, but his comment was cut short as McGonagall came into the room. Pyro's face dropped a little, McGonagall had never been his favorite teacher, but than the incident with the canaries had pushed him over the edge with her. Pyro noticed McGonagall's look and he promptly wiped a new trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth.
On McGonagall's orders Mack came over to him and began to help him out of the chair. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine." He didn't fight though and soon was in a standing position, leaning slightly on Mack for support. Fiona and Jaquin both put their two cents in to the professor. After a bit more instruction from McGonagall everyone went to do what they were ordered to do. With the added support of Jaquin Pyro was finally able to be moved toward the hospital wing. Not that he needed to go there.
