Mack's attention had turned to the window- she watched the rain drizzle down the pane. Mack loved the rain- she loved to listen to the stories the rain told, but the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was louder than the rain and this made Mack quite agitated. She had decided to not go to that class for one reason- Dix was in that class. Mack would be forced to sit with her, and it would all be on big mess and she didn't want to put up with that. She looked at Cass who was summoning books, or trying to summon books, and smiled slightly. She stood up and walked over to her friend- withdrew her own wand, and pointed it at the bookshelf, "Accio book." The book flew to her hand.
"I was there for that class, surprisingly." Mack told Cass with a smile. She sat down on the table, her legs swinging back and forth. She looked at Cass as she said something about getting rid of curses and how it can't get rid of all and pointed to Maddie. Mack giggled and looked down at the book as well. It was rather interesting- and Mack wondered what else was in there. There came a loud sound from the corrdior and Mack looked up quickly, "I sort of feel upset that I didn't go to DADA. Seems like some party." Mack stated calmly, she then sighed and looked back at Cass- "Do you think Professor Vector would mind if we showed up a little bit late?"

Maddie listened to Logton and Mack a bit. She heard them talk about DADA, and Charms. "Well," started Maddie honestly. "I'm not very good at Charms either." she didn't mind talking to a Gryffindor actually, or even a Hufflepuff. She rather enjoyed having a nice conversation, and it didn't matter what house they were in. She just didn't like it much when some people tried to argue with her about blood or houses.
"I didn't show up to Defense Against the Dark Arts either, I was going to, but I was kinda late so... umm... yeah... Actually, I'm not good at that either. Actually, the only subject that I am good at is Potions, and sometimes Charms." she said, in a rather nice voice. She actually was enjoying just talking. She had also tooken what Mack had said into consideration, and made a short, mental note of it. Maddie wasn't exactly the perfect true Slytherin yet, but... she was working her way up.

Class had gotten over. It was a useless lesson on vampires. All just a bunch of reading and taking notes. How boring. The professor than dismissed class but invited them all into a back room. Pyro didn't feel like continuing that boring lesson. He was one of the few that left the classroom. Pyro walked down the hallways, his bag bouncing against his side. He looked down and remembered the stupid essay he had to write. Groaning he made the decision to get that done with A.S.A.P. His choices were either the common room, or the lounge. Since classes should still be going the lounge should be pretty empty. So there was a good place to go.
Pyro stepped in and noticed that a few students were already there. Pyro recognized a few of them, fellow Slytherins Mackenzie and Madison. He than noticed someone else he recognized. His cousin, Cass. Pyro hadn't talked with her much ever since they found out they were cousins. Pyro walked over to a table and dropped his bags on the chair, than walked over to the group. "Well well, what have we here? Skipping class are we?"

Cassandra lifted her head from the book as she heard the door open. She sighed another heavy sigh as she saw her cousin, Pyro, walk in. Oh, great...Cass thought to herself. She wasn't quite sure if she wanted to see him right now. Their last meeting hadn't gone too well, and she still remembered how he acted during their duel. Forcing a smile, " Hello, dear cousin. How are you? Are you skipping DADA? By the way, what were you guys doing up there? We've noticed that it has gotten pretty loud up there, and we wondering why we weren't invited to the party?" Thinking for a second, " Oh, wait. We were. We just decided to skip class." She smiled a guilty smile.
Flicking her wand up, she attempted the summoning charm once again. This time, her concentration rested on a deck of cards that lay together in a stack. " Accio!" she cried. The cards wiggled, but instead of coming over in one big pile still neatly togehter they all flew over like they were being shuffled into a pile. Cass yipped with surprise. Smacking her in the face, they landed in a mess on the floor. Blushing brightly, she looked around as people began to snicker.

Bellatrix shoved open the door to the student lounge to find several students lounging about. Running through the lounge Bellatrix had her wand in hand. "Avery, Goyle, hurry up!" She yelled out over her shoulder as she ran to the students. Three Slytherins, two Gryffindors were chatting. Slytherins and Gryffindors together in conversation, the very thought of it made Bellatrix's blood boil. "Stupefy! Stupefy!" She sent the spells flying at the Slytherin boy and girl (( Pyro & Madison )). "Crucio!" A blast of yellow light flew from her wand at one of the Gryffindor girls (( Cassandra )). Rushing past the other two, Bellatrix glared at the younger Holden girl, "your parents will be most displeased, associating with those beneath you."
Bellatrix then ran to the window and smashed it to bits with a well placed hex. Below the flower beds of the Courtyard would soften her fall. "Goyle! Take care of that Gryffindor, but LEAVE THE HOLDEN GIRL ALONE THIS TIME! Avery, lets go!" Bellatrix then cast a feather weight charm on herself before jumping out the window and landing in the flower bed. She then began rushing as fast as she could toward the Dark Forrest.

Pyro nodded his greeting to Cassandra. Even though she was a Gryffindor. She was still his cousin, so her blood was good, so it wasn't to bad to converse with her. Pyro looked at the other Gryffindor for a second. He didn't know her, not that he wanted to. He looked back at Cass.
"No, I'm not skipping, I was just in the class. The professor dismissed class and invited some of the students to some back room. I didn't feel like going. We were stud...." His sentence was cut short as someone burst into the lounge. Pyro turned and looked at the person. It was a woman.
Pyro's eyes drifted from the womans face down to her hand and he noticed the wand, pointed right at him! Pyro dove to the side but was to late. Pyro felt the spell hit, luckily he had dodged the full brunt of it. The spell was still enough to knock him down. Pyro didn't land from his dive to gracefully. He hit the ground, bounced, and rolled and collided with a chair. Pyro heard a Crucio spell being cast and hoped it wasn't aimed at him, he had read what that spell could do.
Pyro groaned and tried to get a grip but couldn't. His head was spinning and that wasn't helping the room stay still either. Pyro saw a blur run past him and he figured it had to be the woman. Pyro looked back to the door and noticed a hulking figure enter the room. Woa...big guy Pyro thought to himself. He shook his head vigorously, trying to clear the fog. He managed to fight up to his hands and knees but thats as far as his body would allow.
Normally, Pyro would just lay down and try and stay out of it, but this time he was mad. That woman had attacked him for no reason. What had he ever done to her? Pyro groaned once more and shook his head, giving it one more attempt to get up off his hands and knees.

"Not good, no, very bad." When Dumbledore showed up the jig was up and they had to get out of there fast! Avery was about to create some sort of destruction but Bellatrix had already beaten him to it. Running out of the hallway he fired a few spells blindly over his shoulder as he ran toward where Bellatrix had gone, the Student Lounge.
Though he only entered the Lounge a few seconds after Bellatrix, he could tell she had wasted no time as bodies were everywhere. One boy though was staggering, trying to get to his feet. Avery laughed at the boy's attempt and aimed his wand at him. "Down you go boy-o! Florikus!" A gust of air erupted from his wand and hit the boy push him backward.
Avery then followed Bellatrix's lead and jumped out the window after casting a featherweight charm on himself. While he was floating down he wondered how a featherweight charm would work on someone as fat as Goyle.

Pyro won his battle and he managed to stagger up. His vision was still a bit blurry but it was returning to him. Pyro noticed a peculiar sight in front of him. Three wands were pointed at him. The wands were lined up next to each other, but the two on the sides were spinning around the one in the middle. They spun around closer and closer until they combined to form one wand. "Down you go boy-o!" Pyro heard as he looked up at the man.
"Damn...." Pyro muttered. He had been to slow in his recovery. He was stuck now. He remembered the woman who had struck him first and he now marked this man. Attuning the face to memory. He would pay these goons back someday.
Before he knew it he was flying. Struck by some gust of air. Pyro flew a short distance and than struck a nearby support beam. Pyro heard a Crack! and he knew that it wasn't the beam that given way. Pyro drooped to the floor and landed on his feet, but he didn't remain up for very long. With his back against the beam Pyro slid down and slumped into a sitting position. Pyro's vision filled with blackness and than his head dropped between his knees and he was out. A small trickle of blood escaped the corner of his mouth and rolled down to his chin.

Maddie listensed to the others talk for a bit, and, as she looked out the window at the rain still pouring down. She didn't exactly hear what they were saying though... she really just heard fant voices, since she was kind of out of it. She was suddenly irrupted from her zone, when she heard the door to the student lounge barge open and hurried footsteps. She jerked her head forward, to see a woman standing there, with her wand out, point toward Pyro and her.
She saw Pyro go down, and she watched him try to struggle up again. Maddie didn't spend much time watching him though, because when she looked back up to the woman, she saw her wand pointed staright at her. Maddie's eyes widened a bit and she muttered, "Oh crap.". She watched as the burst of light flew flew out of the woman's wand, and struck Maddie square it the chest, shooting her back a bit. She had only been in contact with that spell before, when she was a young girl, and had accidently got in the way of her father's death eater meeting. She was out cold just like that, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Just as she had suspected, she heard a few fant voices, and heard someone say the "Crucio" spell, and just like that, she was out.

Emily stood there and watched her friends fall to the ground. When she suddenly realized that one of the death eaters sort of commanded one to come after her. She froze with fright. She tripped over herself and onto a chair. She caught her balance and sat up. Her eyes widened. She couldn't believe it!
She started her day at Hogwarts sort of well and now she and her friends were going to be attacked by Death Eaters. She wanted to scream for help. But she stayed silent instead. "Why is this happening to me?" she said with terror. She watched as Madison and Cass fell to the ground. She was getting nervous.

Gregory followed hot on Bellatrix's tail into the room, panting slightly from the exertion. He wasn't supposed to have to run away from stupid Hogwarts teachers! The idea had been to finish off the Potter boy! And hurt some other students at the same time. Well, at least he had the chance to do that now. There were a number of students in the lounge, and though Bellatrix had already dealt with most of them by the time he had got half his breath back from running, as well as specifically instructing him not to touch the Holden girl - why not? She was fraternising with two Gryffindors for goodness sake! - there was one idiot left for him to deal with.
Avery must have made quick his escape from the classroom where he had been stunned - Gregory reflected with some dull pride that his revival spell must have been more effective than usual - and Gregory had lingered too long. He sent a quick 'Crucio!' at the remaining standing Gryffindor, something that would cause her a great deal of pain, probably like she had never felt before, but would only remain effective for say, a few minutes. Those few minutes would probably feel like hours to the girl, he reflected with satisfaction as he tossed himself out of the window without any regard for caution, casting a feather weight charm on himself as he went, as well as another one on his way down to make sure the jar of the landing would not knock all his teeth out - they were very rarely soft landings. He landed only moments later, all the well kept flowers now well and truly ruined, squashed and flattened by the various landings, but mainly his, and stumbled up, regaining his balance quickly to allow him to sprint at what really was a breathtaking speed for someone of his size after Bellatrix, towards the Forbidden Forest, and make good his escape.

Jaquin was walking up the lush, green lawns of Hogwarts Grounds when he saw three figures emerge from a window on the second floor. He instantaneously recognized that the figures were Death Eaters. After scrutinizing the face of the first Death Eater from a distance, Jaquin recognized the face as that of Bellatrix Black's. His gaze followed the stacks of antediluvian stones that the castle was comprised of and landed on the window. The window was the window of the student lounge. Jaquin did not know what to expect, but he was sure that people were hurt and he needed to help them and alert the rest of the school of the calamitous situation. He burst through the front doors and went of the stairs, four at a time and ran along the corridor to the courtyard. Jaquin made a sharp right turn and found the Student Lounge's door ajar. The gargantuan room was in shambles; books were strewn across the oaken floor and a many chairs were knocked over. There were three unconscious people, all whom were younger than he was. However, Jaquin did not notice the fourth student, a Slytherin. He recognized the one propped against a support as Pyro Blackfire, Jaquin hurried over and unsheathed his wand. "Enervate," he whispered as he saw the younger Slytherin stir. Jaquin walked over to the other three, meticulously avoiding the chairs, and did the same. Then he headed toward the open window and peered out of it, scanning the tree line of the Forbidden Forest.

Nicole saw Jaquin looked worried. She deiced to fallow him what ever was happening it was better than what she was doing. She was some of the Slytherin kids were following Jaquin. Nicole couldn't help, but wonder what was going on. She new one was suppose to live the castle, but Jaquin was looking at the Forbidden Forest. "What is going on?" she said said to her self. She was going to walk up to Jaquin and ask what was going on, but he was in the 6th year she didn't think that he would tell her a 3rd year anything. So Nicole just walked up to him and didn't say anything. Any one who would walk by would think that she was just looking outside. She really wanted to ask him what was going on and why he looked so worried. But just as she stared to speak one of the teachers walked by. She had to wait until the teacher was gone to ask him. After she finally left Nicole was going to ask him, but she didn't have any hope he would tell her what was really going on, but it was worth a try and plus even if he didn't tell her she could just follow him and find out. Nicole was very good at following people with out being notice. It was one of her talents that she could actually use with out getting yelled at. After about 10 minutes of planning her question she ask"Jaquin you look very weird what is going on, and why do you keep looking a the Forbidden Forest?"

It all happened so fast. Cass had looked up at the doorway, expecting another student from DADA, and saw a woman with her wand out. Before she could think, Cass cried, "Reducto!" and the little bolt of white light shot out of her wand. However, her fear must of caused the spell to be weak; because it seemed to disintegrate before it even got to there attackers. A little dumbstruck, she saw Maddie and Pyro go down first with stunning charms. Then, the woman pointed her wand at Cassandra, and the word " Crucio" was barely audible above her scream. Pain engulfed her body, and she started to feel herself lose her balance. Falling back, she felt a dull pain in the back of her head as she blissfully passed out.
Coming to, she saw a older Ravenclaw, who she groggily recognized, walking over to Emily and performing a charge. Sitting up, the room began to swim. Putting her hand to the back of her head, she could feel the wetness in her matted hair. Wondering what was in her hair, she looked at her hand and saw that it was wet with blood. Looking behind her, she saw the table she had leaned upon earlier. She had obviously hit her head on the corner of it when she fell.
" Pyro? Mack? Is everyone alright?" Cass fought her way too her feet, but had to continue to lean on the table for balance.

Fiona stood leaning against the door frame of the student lounge. A smile played across her lips. A Ravenclaw was helping a Slytherin, whom she knew by the name Pyro. Fiona also recognized Maddie who was in the same year, however she did not recognize the other Slytherin or the Gryffindors. The Ravenclaw was obviously older, but definitely not better than her. He was now moving to the others and performing the same spell on each and they began to stir. The Ravenclaw seemed not to have noticed her for he stood starring out a window facing the Forbidden Forest.
Fiona had seen it all happen from Bellatrix Lestrange to the now stirring room. She didn't know why Bellatrix had attacked the Slytherins, but she didn't blame her, after all they were conversing with Gryffindors.
Fiona moved completely into the room and stood looking at the mayhem with a satisfied expression on her face. She does like destruction as long as it hurts someone. Fiona took out her wand and began to twirl it between her fingers as a Gryffindor tried to stand. She fought against the urge to cast a spell on her and instead decided to say something.
"It's quite unfortunate that she didn't do more damage to you. You rising and all so quickly after you fell. Pity that, that there Ravenclaw showed up. You might have been out for hours."

It happened so fast. The lights and the words. Bellatrix said some things to her, and all Mack could do was glare. She felt like she was so helpless and worthless. She stayed, rooted to her spot; her mouth gaping in suprise, shock, and fright. Bellatrix passed over her, and than told Goyle to leave her alone. Something about leaving the Holden girl alone this time. Realisation struck Mack, Dix had been hit with a spell. They came from the DADA class.
The Death Eaters disappeared as soon as they had appeared.
Her eyes flickered to Cass, Pyro, Maddie, and the other girl with helplessness. It wasn't too soon when someone came by to help them, a Ravenclaw- a much older Ravenclaw. Still she stood in her spot, still completely unaware of how she could help. More people seemed to come and Mack found her will to speak when Cass asked if she was alright, "Ye-yeah. How 'bout you?" Mack looked up as another girl came up, Fiona. Mack snarled as the girl made a comment to Cass, "Shut it, Fiona! I'd like to see you take a spell from a Death Eater and see how much strength you have afterward!"

Fiona laughed at the attempted insult to her strength and character. Fiona didn't think she'd be any better off than half of them, but figured she'd never really have a problem with being attacked by Death Eaters. Always shying away from a conversation, she decided to give in on the argument and instead began to look around the disastrous room.
For the first time Fiona had actually seen the kind of destruction a Death Eater could cause. She was trapped between awe and disgust. Her parents had always wanted her to follow after their footsteps and become a follower of the Dark Lord and she had to admit the power was there. However, standing in this kind of destruction she wondered about how evil the Dark Lord and his followers were. Teenagers had been attacked and some hurt badly, they weren't adults, not even a threat to them. So why did they attack?
Fiona pushed this thought to the back of her mind as she looked back at Mack. For the first time Fiona actually felt like apologizing, but just settled with a statement. "You're probably right." Fiona then planted herself in a seat facing the others.

Pyro swam in a pool of darkness. Darkness as far as the eye could see. He was dazed, confused, and completely lost within all the black. Every time he tried to move his body there was a dull ache in his side that stopped his movement. His body felt drained. Energy-less. Pyro heard a voice, a male voice somewhere off in the distance. Pyro felt some energy returning and he began to stir.
Groaning Pyro managed to slowly open his eyes. He raised his head and looked up into the face of a older Ravenclaw he recognized. Ja...Ja...Jaquin. That was it, Jaquin, a 6th year. What was he doing here, and what was Pyro doing here. He couldn't remember anything. His mind searched for the memory and suddenly it all came flowing back in one great rush. The Death Eaters bursting in, their attack! Pyro whipped his head around, bringing a stab of pain from his side, and scanned the room. There was no sign of them.
Pyro saw the broken window and knew that they had escaped there. Pyro looked about the room again and noticed Cassandra starting to stand. Pyro also noticed Mack, it looked like she wasn't attacked. Why? Another Slytherin girl that Pyro recognized as Fiona stepped into the room. Pyro didn't pay much attention to her. "Yea, I think I'm ok." Pyro answered to Cass's question. Pyro attempted to stand but the sudden fire that erupted in his side sent him crashing back down to the floor with a growl. "I'll.....Just sit here....A moment." He said more to himself than to anyone else.

Fiona sat watching each person individually. Her eyes came to rest on Pyro who was still hardly moving. She watched as he tried to get off the floor, but he must have been in a lot of pain because he sank back down.
Fiona then decided to do something that completely clashed with everything she had been taught, but she couldn't stand seeing the pain and destruction any more. Fiona stood and walked to his side. Kneeling she held her hand out to him. "Come on, I'll help you to a seat, it'll be more comfortable." She knew Pyro to be the kind of person to never let anyone help him, but she felt like she had to do something other than just sit there. She looked into his eyes waiting for some kind of reply to her kind offer.

Maddie opened her eyes barely, just to see an older student, jumping out of the window, that she was a just a few feet away from. She figured it was the person that had revieved them, because she saw everybosy else who had been attacked, stirring and beginning to wake up as well. She heard heard Cassandra ask if everybody was alright, but Maddie decided not to reply, because she still felt a bit dizzy. She also saw another Slytherin girl, Fiona come over, and give a nasty insult to them. Well, it might have only been to a few people, but Maddie didn't really care either way, but it was still a very nasty thing to say, considering she hadn't even been attacked at all. She heard Mack stick up for them, and Maddie smiled a bit. Even if Mack might have been a bit mad at Maddie, she was still a pretty good person to have great come-backs for insults such as those.
Finally, Fiona helped Pyro, and grinned a bit at that as well. Even if she acted tough, she still wanted to help him. She looked around at everybody else, and the other Gryffindor, Emily, still looked as though, she wasn't doing very good. "Is everybody up?" she asked. She knew that Cassandra had already asked something like that question, but she was still wondering. "How much destruction did they do out there?" she asked again, gesturing to the other side of the student lounge. She didn't feel very much like standing up, and looking for herself, since she still didn't feel very well.
