GRACE SOTERIA HUNTER
The Basics:
House: Hufflepuff
Year: 5th
Age: 15
Blood: Muggle-Born
Wand: 13 inch, Willow. Chimaera Scale
Pet: Very tiny brown barn owl named Pebble.
Physical Description:
The ability to look people in the eyes is an attribute practiced regularly by Grace. Dark brown eyes, tinted with green, can always be found to be staring right back at you. Intensity is the word to best describe this. Perhaps that same word is to be used to define her appearance; eccentric and inspirational. Eyes, previously mentioned, are often outlined with heavy eyeliner. Her smile, equally as beautiful as her eyes, frequently flashes large glimpses of happyness. Dark and long is her hair, side fringe, healthy looking. She stands from an average height, with a small nose and pale skin. She speaks in a soft english accent.
Personality:
Grace Hunter is a lovable, friendly and thoughtful soul. Arrogant, some would label her as, snappy, snooty and snobish. A matter of opinion is what decided this for you, but I can promise you that she is nothing of the sort. She cares for all around her down to the last, tiniest creature. Everything and everyone is equal in her mind. If someone acts harshly, it does not make them a bad person. All things deserve to live and prosper, just as people deserve to be forgiven and treated with kindness. She gets ridiculed for acting so kindly and adopting such a healthy outlook on life, but has developed the talent of blocking out the ridicule and not to feel angry.
She channels much of her energy into her hobbies. Writing, art and quidditch. Those three groups combined are what give Grace's life a light. She can often be discovered late at night propped up in bed scribbling out stories in her notebook, or otherwise outside on a sunny afternoon, basking in the heat near the lake with a skethpad and paintbrush equipped, or plumetting around the quidditch pitch on her broom in eager practice to get better. Creativity, in other words, pretty much summarises our Grace. Poetry, photography, reading, animals, swimming, all spark her interest.
A thirst to learn everything about the world around her drives her to focus on her schoolwork. She spends plentiful amount of time studying, but not nearly as much as she does writing. She has been noted to, during class, gain a sudden spark of inspiration, dive for her bag and hurriedly make notes and sketches of her realization on an exciting new story plot, situation or setting, whilst shouting at the teacher to wait. She has a keen imiganation and finds pleasure in allowing herself to be absorbed in her own head. On quiet evenings, she will perch on the common rooms windowsills and gaze silently at the scenery outside, lost in a series of her own thoughts.
History:
Grace Soteria Hunter was born along with her twin her twin brother, Elias, on the 30th of October to parents Isabella Willow and Andrew Hunter. Shortly after having the twins they got married and relocated from the hectic lifestyle in London to the quiet countryside of Thetford in south east England. There, Grace and Elias spent their time together growing up in their peaceful surroundings and spending a number of adventurous days in the wonderful woodland of their area. A strong bond was created ever since the twins birth, strengthening as time developed and their trust in each other expanded. They share together their worries and secrets, hopes and fears and often resolve each others problems and tell each other every day that they love each other.
Isabella is a loving mother. She is easy to talk to, pretty, and an encouraging individual who can always offer good advice. She spends the majority of her time pondering outdoors and wandering the healthy coutryside with paints and canvas alongside her. Some of her art is successfully commissioned and sold for moderate sums of money, some is hung decoratively in the Hunter's family home. Andrew is an architect, a confident and ambitious man. He values his family with the highest love and attention, and acknowledges that it is their happyness that inspires his.
The Hunter parents are both muggles, entirely oblivious of the wizarding world and it's connection to their family until the twins eleventh birthday. They were not, however, shocked or dissaproving, but instead were encouraging, and to this day, delighted at their childrens luck to have the oppurtunity to develop such a unique skill. Grace was very shy in her younger years, and distant from those in her school, and so it did not come as much of a shock when her classmates were told that she would be attentding an alternative high school.
Grace was, in practicality, seperated from her brother in her first year at Hogwarts. This did nothing for her already low self confidence, as her brothers usual presence at her side acted as a strong point for her. Sorted into seperate houses, different classes and different tables meant that her first couple of years at Hogwarts were spent silent and shy. Her confidence has slowly developed as she has grown out of the need of her brothers constant presence.
The discovery of Quidditch, the responsibility of spending large quantities of the year away from home and the meeting of new friends allowed Grace to develop her personnal attributes and character. She excels in charms, finding the manipulation of objects around her a source of great creativity.
