Who has been role-playing for 6 years.
And currently plays Ivy Tunstall, Sita Mehadi H7 and a few others.
Anna Jacqueline Monkshood
The Basics:
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 5th
Age: 15
Blood: Halfblood
Wand (length, wood, core): 10¼ inches, birch, dragon heartstring
Pet: Rat
Physical Description:
5½ feet tall, Anna is neither tall nor short. It is her mass of curly red hair that makes her stand out from a crowd; she is fond of the bright colour, but doesn’t spend any more time grooming it than is necessary to keep it reasonably tidy. She has blue-grey eyes, a long nose and a thin, clever face. She dresses neatly, modestly, and above all, functionally.
Personality:
Anna certainly knows her own mind, perhaps to the point of wilfulness. She is never afraid to voice her thoughts, either, and is often a touch acerbic in her expression of them – she takes a critical view of the world and nothing is perfect. Although quite aware of the world’s shortcomings, Anna is not unhappy or dissatisfied with life: she is a great believer in making the best out of whatever comes one’s way in life.
Although strong-willed and assertive, Anna is not unpleasant. She will not go out of her way to please anyone but herself, but she is as nice as anyone else, really, just more open about her nature. She is willing enough to make polite conversation with strangers, but is not overly talkative, one of the quieter ones amongst her group of friends. She is quite slow to form any deep friendships, and has flitted between alternative friendships of convenience for most of her life.
Anna’s hobbies include sketching, reading and Gobstones. She is quite sporty, and particularly enjoys swimming. She has been roped into one Quidditch match for the Ravenclaw team, and although she is secretly a little afraid of heights, she wouldn’t entirely rule out playing again – it was quite an exciting experience.
As would be expected of a Ravenclaw, Anna does well in her academic work. She is particularly good at Transfiguration, Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts.
History:
Anna hails from Devon, although she spent the first five years of her life living in London; the move to the countryside came after her parents’ divorce. Anna’s mother is a Muggleborn witch, her father a Pureblood wizard. Both Anna’s parents have remarried, and she has two half-sisters on her father’s side of the family, both significantly younger than her. Anna doesn’t mind the separation too much – she gets on well with her stepfather, and she only visits her father every now and then, so it doesn’t matter too much that she and her stepmother don’t always see eye to eye.
Anna likes adventure and that was how she regarded the move to Hogwarts. She likes being at boarding school – apart from the regimented structure of the school timetable, she can organise herself how she likes without interference, and certainly without interference from parents. She works quite hard and is willing to dedicate herself to academic work, so she has done well in lessons in her first four years at Hogwarts. As for friends – she has made them, but not kept all of them; she’s not really too bothered.
