Physical Description -
Matthew is rather tall for his age (5:8). He has bright, piercing blue eyes, set on a rather shy, pale face. His hair is dark brown, rather long, and almost always messy and impossible to control. He has four large scars grouped together on his neck, forming the shape of what looks like a scratch mark, placed there due to a freak dog attack, where a crazed Rottweiler attacked him at the age of 6. He is a slim build, and looks as though he will look more athletic as he grows older. His smile is both exceptionally mischievous and cheerful. Since first year, Matthew has settled well into Hogwarts, especially in his classes, and has developed a keen aptitude for Charms and Potions. He has also starting to show signs of being less shy and more relaxed around other people.
Personality -
Matthew can sometimes, although rarely, be withdrawn, quiet and shy, but most of the time can be very mischievous, creative and cheerful, just as his smile portrays him to be. He is kind to everyone, and always speaks the truth, both of which are not always good. Hugely intelligent, Matthew takes his studies seriously. Having this personality makes him an easy person to be with, and as a result has some very close friends.
History -
Matthew was born on the 13th September, and was raised by his mother and father, Alice and Jason, [both muggles]. Raised in the thick countryside near York, he loves the countryside: the bright colors, singing birds, beautiful scenery, etc.
When Matthew was 10, his muggle father died due to unknown circumstances to Matthew, and Matthew only found out the real reason when his mother told him that he had been abducted and killed by a cult the police couldn't identify. Alice, so upset by his death, proceeded to look after Matthew with absolute love and care, to, in a sense, make up for his Dad's death.
Matthew showed his first sign of magic at the age of 6, when he was being attacked by a crazed Rottweiler, his mother, being in utter horror at the time, gave the reason that "Matthew was saved by someone shooting the dog from a distance, straight through its head the bullet must have went, it near enough exploded, I would've loved to thank them, but they didn't even show themselves, little Matthew stopped crying the minute the thing was dead, even let out a couple small giggles, brave little soul."
Matthew has been nicknamed Wrathis since 6 years old, and has been named so due to the dark side of Matthew. Since around the age of 6, not only has he been peculiarly mature and distant, which scared his classmates, but teachers also were affected and struggled to explain to Alice, Matthew's mum, that, basically, they got a feeling of evil from her young son. As a result of his outstanding maturity, distance from classmates etc, and an unexplainable sense of darkness coming from him, his classmates decided to name him Wrathis, as it is a name that sounds, well, rather evil. As time carried on, even teachers, adults and Matthew's mum turned to calling him Wrathis, which Matthew didn't really mind. More to date, Matthew's evil side is less common, and doesn't come out as often, and in a way, makes Matthew seem to have two split personalities. Both Matthew and Wrathis.
