Wynd shares his sister blue eyes. But his are lighter than her dark blue. Where hers are almost cold as ice, Wynd’s are like a chill breeze. He stands at 5’9”, an inch taller than his sister. Whereas she grew up quickly, Wynd kept his boyish look. His light brown hair falls upon his ears. It often gets into his eyes; a trait that bothers everyone but himself.

Similar to many Slytherins, Wynd believes that only the purest blood should be allowed in the hallow grounds of Hogwarts. Similar to many Slytherins, his ideas are ignored. But they won't be for long. Unlike many Slytherins, Wynd and Ruby actually have the drive to do something with their ideas. The world will be a better place. Wynd and Ruby are like two halves of a whole. They compliment each others' strengths and those qualities that are not yet perfect. Wynd enjoys Quidditch only for the glory that comes with winning. He could care less about losing. Wynd and his sister take studies very seriously. They have to. He excels in Potions and Care of Magical Creatures to balance his sister’s talent in Charms and Transfiguration.

On December 25th, a day that is often associated with the birth of the savior of Muggles, Wynd Lehane and his sister Ruby Lehane were born. Their mother Patricia found herself giving life on this day on giving. Her husband, William Lehane, stood not far off and watched this miracle. Ruby was born first with Wynd following exactly twenty-three minutes after.
The two now proud parents brought back their children to their castle in Ireland. For, like many Purebloods, the Lehanes had acquired a large sum of money over the generations. Patricia and William were determined to be the best parents they could be. They did not allow the house elves to watch them for a second. Instead only allowing a Pureblood that they knew and trusted to care for the twins in their time of absence. Ruby and Wynd did everything together, from crawling to walking to finishing each other’s first sentence. The Lehanes were happy.
All that changed when the twins were four. On a trip to London where they had to act like Muggles everything changed. Ruby was in her father’s arms and Wynd was holding his mother’s hand when Muggle thieves attacked them. William did the only thing he could think of, he pulled out his wand for protection. Before he could do anything one of the Muggles knocked him down and grabbed Ruby. As they drew closer to Patricia and Wynd, Patricia only thinking of the children pulled out her wand and performed two unforgivable curses that night. The ministry came shortly after and took Patricia to Azkaban. No one believing their stories that it was in self-defense.
The twins have not seen their mother since. Ruby writes daily owls to her but Wynd has given up hope. Their father went into a depression and was not as social as he once was. Ruby and Wynd never gave up their relationship. If anything they became closer due to their mother’s disappearance. Nothing was going to tear their family apart further then it already had been.
When the twins received an owl telling them that they were accepted to Hogwarts, they worried about leaving their father. He assured them that it was all right and that they needed to learn magic in order to stop this from ever happening again. Wynd was glad that he was going to Hogwarts with his sister. He needed to get away from the void of energy that was their father. For although he loved his father, he secretly blamed him for what happened to their mother. If only he had acted faster none of this would have happened. Wynd tried to express his feelings to his sister but he couldn’t. He couldn’t let her know that he had feelings of resentment.
When Ruby and Wynd arrived at Hogwarts they were put into the Slytherin house, the house for the true wizards and witches. They didn’t accept half-breeds or even worse, mudbloods. Wynd hated mudbloods with a passion. They reminded him of the two thieves and he would never forgive them. He could never forgive them.
His first few years at Hogwarts passed with too much incident. Whenever a mudblood would make a comment about their mother in Azkaban they were soon silenced by the twins’ wrath. They never did anything to get them expelled but they were sure to make a point of who was actually in charge. When the Dark Lord rose Wynd was hopeful that he would see an end to muggles. But that bloody Potter.
