“It's simple he says!” Dustin yelled out of anger to himself as he pushed through a dark tiny half caved in passage. “It was clear when I went to Hogwarts he says!” Dustin yelled again waving his wand around while it lit the way for him. Each rock or part of the fallen passage he had to push out of the way brought up a question which he had been asking himself for almost a week. It was as if the it was written on every rock, “why?” If it wasn't for the fact that he was afraid it would cause another cave in he would have just used magic to clear the passage. “This is just the beginning too...” He let out with a frustrated grunt. Yet another rock from the ground above was in front of him, yet another rock he would have to move by hand. “Why not turn back? It's not worth risking your life.” A thought crept up as he began pushing it. “Yes it...” He muttered as he pushed against the rock. "Is!" He finshed saying as the rock moved enough to finally allow him to pass by. “I swear I know there is an easier passage and when I figure out where it is I'm going to throw that old man down it and seal it.” Dustin let out as he was letting his anger and frustration get to him, although he didn't mean it he could sound like he did when he was in a such foul mood.
Dustin toke a break at what he guessed was the halfway point or at least he prayed it was, he was getting really tired from pushing all this debris from the cave in away. If he knew it was going to be this much work he would have just tried to walk right into Hogwarts and take his chances or have someone else do this but he was here now and this was his mission. A mission he questioned with every step he toke closer to Hogwarts. “Why?” He said with a sigh as he sat on a clean part of the passage. “Why couldn't it have been simple. A nice girl, whose beautiful and wonderful to be around and isn't part of a family who are trying to kill my family and me.” Dustin asked out loud not expecting a response but one would be nice if it could help him understand why he was doing all of this. There was only one reason he was doing all of this that he could drum up and yet it was the best reason of all, love. He let out one last sigh as he got back up and kept walking facing a few more rocks in his way. Dustin would have guessed it had been almost five hours but it was probably only two at the most before the Passage had cleared up and looked safe again and pretty soon he found himself up against what seemed like a wooden wall and he toke another break not out of being tired but this time he needed to think.
Dustin looked down at what he was wearing and smirked at how dirty it was and torn from all the rock pushing but he already had a spell in mind for that. The hard part was really to come, he was actually breaking into Hogwarts. Hogwarts the school he had been expelled from a few years ago and with out a disguise no less but he hadn't been here for years so only two people here would be able to pick him out of a crowd of students. He got his wand ready as he thought of what house uniform he should magic up before walking in. Gryffindor was his old house but they normally knew who each other were easy, he would get pointed out in a second. Slytherin was a good choice, it was Angela's and Damara's house but still he would be spotted as not belonging. Ravenclaw was also out as he guessed the brainy house would remember who was who so that left Dustin with the last and probably the best option for hiding himself in, Hufflepuff. Dustin always loved the Hufflepuff house, always so kind and trusting and that was just what he needed at the moment.
He pushed his ear to the wood and couldn't ear anything on the other side but that still wasn't good enough for Dustin, he didn't come all this way to get caught now. A simple wand movement and a few words and he could see through the wooden wall and knew for sure the coast was clear. Dustin pushed on the wooden wall and it started to open from one end, he opened it enough to slide through then closed it behind him and finally got a good look at what the wooden wall really was and smiled. “The old man was right, it was a mirror so that means I should be on the fourth floor.” Dustin said out loud to himself as he tried to remember where everything was, he hadn't needed to know what was inside Hogwarts since he was expelled but it all came back to him pretty soon. “Hey look guys, it's a lost huffy.” Dustin heard from behind him, he didn't know the voice but also didn't like it at the same time. It was definitely from a Slytherin, the tone just gave it away. He turned slightly and saw three Slytherins walking up to him. “Lost little Hufflepuffs should go away if they know whats good for them.” Another one of the students let out with his crooked grin showing. “Or..” Dustin stopped himself quickly. “Your a student and a Hufflepuff, now act it.” Dustin said has he mentally yelled at himself, he couldn't be himself and beat the hell out of them for being just so smug. “Yes um, I must be going.” Dustin let out trying to sound like he might have been intimidated. As he walked off he could hear the three Slytherins laughing and making fun of him for being a Seventh year and still getting lost. “If I ever meet them outside of here I'll tell them the truth, while I'm kicking them.” He muttered as he kept walking down the stairs, he was heading right for the Great hall if he remembered right. As he reached the ground floor he finally found a clock, this was the first time he checked the time since he had entered that passage and it was close to dinner time. Even If Angela wasn't in the Great hall he might just sit down and eat something.
“Angela... I'll have to get used to saying that or .. maybe not.” Dustin thought as he stood outside the Great hall, this was the first time that thought even popped up into his head. What if this was all a game, some kind of act to get close to him and learn something. Her mother did get rescued while she was around him, which was something he was pleased about actually. For all the hatred he had for Angela's father, he didn't have anything against her mother. Dustin just shrugged as he realized it was to late now he wasn't about to go through that passage again with out knowing the truth about all of this. “Okay Dustin just think Hufflepuff, think Hufflepuff and no one will know the truth.” Dustin muttered as he walking into the Great Hall, everyone was eating and not paying much attention to yet another student entering and that's all Dustin was just another student. Dustin looked over to the Slytherin table right away, there was no Damara which was good but what about Angela. He couldn't find her till he realized the problem, he was still looking for blonde hair but that was Ava. Once he looked again he found want he guessed was her at a far off spot and alone.
Dustin regretting picking Hufflepuff now as he walked along the Slytherin table, it was a dead give away that he was at least at the wrong table but he didn't care at the moment. He did the best he could to hide any yellow on him and kept walking toward Angela. “What should I say...” He asked himself, it was yet another thing he didn't think of. A girl he loved and yet at the same time barely knew, a girl who was hiding who she really was and was someone he shouldn't even be within ten feet of. Yet he didn't think of this till now. All that time in the passage pushing rocks and this hadn't come up. Dustin kicked himself for not thinking of this sooner but it was also too late now. He just toke a deep breath and sat right next to her and hoped she wouldn't rat him out, try to kill him or scream. “So Angela Merciano...” Dustin said in a low tone as he looked forward, it felt so weird to be near the girl he loved and yet she looked completely different from a week ago. “Not even a kiss goodbye when you ran off? That's most unforgivable.” He let out followed by a weak smile as he finally looked over to her. “All this time and that's the best I could come up with, stupid!” He mentally yelled at himself once again as he kept looking at her. This was Ava, different on the outside but still Ava on the inside.
