“Again really?” Thomas said as he opened his eyes but he couldn't see much, the sun was right in his eyes which caused Thomas to close them almost immediately. That window hadn't always been like that, normally it was a bit to the left and kept the sun away from Thomas while he slept but it had decided to move all on it's own a couple of days ago. “That's the problem with living in a magic castle, everything keeps moving around without permission.” Thomas thought as he rolled in bed trying to get himself back to sleep. It was still pretty early and he didn't have any reason to be up. Today he only had classes after noon so he could have slept in, if the window would have allowed it. Thomas let out an annoyed almost grunt like noise as he got out of bed giving up on sleep for today. As he stood up he stared at the window wishing it would move back to where it once was. After a good minute or two of looking at the window he sighed slightly and got ready for the rest of the day. A day where he should have been sleeping till eleven at least.
“I hate being up so early.” Thomas thought as he got changed into his school uniform. It wasn't that Thomas was lazy or anything like that, it was just that Thomas having a good nights sleep was a rare thing and he hated when it got ruined. “Stupid window.” He muttered as he passed it by picking up his wand from his nightstand pocketing it then made his way downstairs. Thomas made it to the Common Room but it seemed pretty empty, five people at most littered the room. A few seemed to be studying while others were just talking. Thomas for the first time looked at the clock realizing it was only nine which made him annoyed for second but it soon passed. Thomas didn't really know any of the people in the Common Room and they all seemed pretty well into their own conversations so Thomas decided to go find something to do elsewhere.
As Thomas left the Common Room he couldn't help but notice that the Fat Lady was still asleep in her portrait. “Now that's just not fair.” He said with a quiet laugh not wanting to wake The Fat lady up. Without anywhere really in mind to go Thomas just started walking down stairs. There wasn't much reason to where he went, he just wondered the hallways a little as he made his way downstairs. Thomas had been pretty much everywhere in this school so it was very hard for him to get lost. He was sure there were plenty of places that he hadn't been yet but he doubted it was possible for anyone to find everything about Hogwarts in just seven years in this place. By the time Thomas had made it down to the fourth floor he felt like he had to have wasted an hour already at least and his stomach starting to grumble slightly. He just shrugged as he made his way down to the great hall. “Well one good thing about being awake so early is breakfast, which is probably the only good thing.” He said to himself as he kept walking down the stairs.
It so far seemed like a quiet day, Thomas hadn't run into too many other students today. Maybe there was class for all the other years or something going on right now, Thomas didn't tend to keep track of any other class schedules besides his. The thought of “Oh well more breakfast for me” came over him but it didn't matter how many students were eating, the tables never ran out of food. After what felt like maybe a half hour, which was probably caused by his sudden hungry Thomas made it to the First floor and stood right in front of the Great hall. He could already hear the sounds of everyone inside talking and a few yells which was normal with some students yelling to other tables, something which bugged Thomas to no end. There had been a few times when he sat next to one of those people that he just wanted to push them right off they're seat but he fought back the urge every time.
Thomas walked in then immediately looked at the Gryffindor table, it had quite a number of students sitting there already and Thomas had already picked some of the few he felt like avoiding. Not because he hated them he just had a mental list of people who didn't care for him much and people he didn't care to be around much. Thomas walked down the table then found a pretty empty spot besides one girl sitting there, she seemed to be his year maybe a year lower. He had seen her a couple of times in the Common Room but never seemed to have spoken to her once if he could remember correctly but he knew better then to trust his memory completely. “This seat taken, if so don't worry about it. I can always go sit with the Slytherins, I'm sure they won't try to kill me or anything like that.” Thomas said with a slight laugh at the end as he pointed to the seat next to the girl.
