He eagerly awaited his arrival, and even felt slightly impatient as he sat on a stone bench in the Courtyard, his leg shaking uncontrollably. Dylan had shown up some half an hour earlier from the time the two decided that they would meet, and he had a few more minutes to wait before he would finally see him; and how he felt so incredibly teased as the minutes seemed to take their sweet time passing by. He had never felt this way before about anyone. Ever since earlier when they had kissed.....his lips and stomach were still tingling from the meeting, and he couldn't wait to feel that again. He wanted to feel that all the time.....it was nice. It was more than nice; it was incredible. And hearing him admit that he had liked him....it was the sweetest, most serene song that ever layed itself upon Dylan's ears, and he hadn't been able to stop smiling since leaving the Hospital Wing some five hours ago. He also hadn't been able to shake his unrelenting feelings of weightlessness and total bliss, and this made him that much more anxious.....
He slid off the bench and layed down on the cool stone floor of the Courtyard. The sky glowed a warm purple, and Dylan smiled and closed his eyes. He had run into Peeves on his way back down to his Common Room, and surprisingly, he wasn't angry nor did he have any words for the ghost. If it wasn't for Peeves' foolishness, what happened today probably would have never happened at all. So in a way, he was almost thankful. It was as if the universe had done what the two of them just couldn't seem to bring themselves to do on their own. For such a long time there were so many problems and hurdles the two of them just could not seem to get over. Something always happened.....something always got in the way. But finally.....finally they were at a place where Dylan had no intentions of letting himself, or August leave. He knew....all along from the first moment that they had bumped into each other in his fifth year. It took him a while to realize it, but he knew that all along he was who he wanted....who he needed.
He heard footsteps, and he sat upright with incredible speed only to be sorely let down. It wasn't him; it was some Hufflepuff dragging their feet pass the entrance to the Courtyard. Dylan layed back down exasperated. This wasn't fair. He supposed he was doing this to himself. He needed to calm down. He would be here when he would be here. But I want him here now, Dylan thought helplessly. He sighed, and once again, he closed his eyes. This time, he allowed himself to completely relax, which was hard considering he was full of energy at the moment. But he relaxed himself nonetheless, taking smooth, deep breaths of warm air. He would lay there, and not think. He would lay there with a blank mind, and meditate until the time came.
