Cole walked across the back lawn from the main house toward the quidditch pitch that hid behind the guest house. With his broom over his shoulder and his bag in his hand he closed his eyes as he felt the suns rays on his face. It was a nicer day than he has expected it to be. Opening his eyes back up Cole passed the guest house and opened the gate that led onto the pitch. Walking over to a bench on the side of the pitch, Cole set his stuff on the ground and sat down. Looking around at the pitch Cole remembered the days when he was younger playing on it. His dad had built it long before Cole was born, and this is where he had done most of his training. Not many kids were fortunate enough to have a quidditch pitch quality enough for professionals to play on in their backyard. But then again when your dad owns a quidditch shop it's part of life. Opening up his bag Cole took out his equipment and started putting some of it on. Dawn was coming over and they were going to play around on the pitch for a while and eventually talk about the wedding. It had been a long time since the two of them had played quidditch together. Dawn was always busy with work and Cole spent most of his day's at quidditch practices to begin with so coming home and playing more usually wasn't on his agenda.
Sliding his boots on his feet Cole thought of the day before when he was at a Puddlemere United practice. He had played well like he usually did and the owners of Puddlemere were really intent on signing Cole. Cole said he had to think about it but the decision needed to come soon. The start of the season was in 2 months and Cole needed to be a training camps for whichever team he signed for by Monday. Seeing as how it was Saturday he knew that he would probably make his decision today. The three teams that he had been practicing with were the Foulmouth Falcons, Puddlemere United, and a team from America, the Fitchburg Finches. While the first two teams seemed like the logical choice, the Finches were the team offering Cole the most money. While money didn't have much to do with it since Cole was already wealthy, the idea of going to another country and helping with he popularity of quidditch in America was very tempting. Cole shook his head as he tried to shake off the looming decision.
Grabbing his broom Cole walked out to the middle of the pitch and looked around him. This was where he felt most comfortable, this was his home. When he was on a pitch, no one could touch him. No matter the money, or the work this was his first love. Smiling and taking a deep breath he jumped on his broom and took off zooming around the pitch. After a couple laps he took off straight up and then relaxed as he leaned backwards and began to fall. This was a feeling that he loved, complete free fall. After falling a good 300 meters and pulled out of the dive just before he hit the ground and flew next to the goal posts and floated looking around. That's when he saw the blond hair walking onto the pitch below him. Smiling Cole yelled down "Dawn McGrogan on a quidditch pitch? I didn't know you could play anymore."
