Andrew Thornton didn’t even bother waiting for the carriage that would take him down to the village of Hogsmeade. He was far too energetic to bother with sitting still. Besides this way he could get a bit of jogging in. What it was about running Drew wasn’t too sure. He enjoyed the solitary act that came from it…mainly because lately he’d forgotten about that. There was always someone with him anymore, not that it bothered him, but every now and then you just needed to be left alone to think. That was right then and he was enjoying it as he jogged down the path of Hogwarts…the sound of feet slapping against cobblestone the only thing ringing in his ears as he continued his quick paced jog.
Hogsmeade days were always the best days for a jog. There was always so much more to see and there was always time for a Butterbeer after. As it always did it took a bit of time before he even caught sight of Hogsmeade behind the trees. It never got old; even now in his 6th year it was still the same as it had always been…fascinating and extraordinary. Of course that’s how he thought about the whole wizarding world. It was fascinating to him and it never lost that vibe.
Drew slowed down as he came into town, his hands running through his hair to straighten it to the best of his ability without a mirror. He liked the fingers through the hair look though and he didn’t care what he was wearing. If there was anyone in Hogsmeade that was going to really notice what he was wearing then they needed a new life. He flipped his wand between his fingers before slipping it into the pocket of his pants, his eyes settling on The Three Broomsticks as he hummed one of his songs to himself.
Slipping through the door of the Broomsticks he moved to the bar, a smile stretching across his face as he visited with Madam Rosmerta before ordering his Butterbeer. Now this was one of the reasons why he loved this wizarding town. Blue eyes turned to search the pub, landing on a familiar face. “Julius,” Drew said as he moved to the table with the 7th year Gryffindor. “Mind if I join you?”

Post by Julius Lionheart on Mar 6, 2009 8:24:30 GMT
" No......I don't want to ride that.....it scares the hell out of me." muttered Julius in his sleep. It was somewhat a little late in the morning, but Julius was usually a late riser. Suddenly a sound that would shame a bomb was made, causing him to jump in his sleep, only to fall out of his four poster bed. He fell face down, which was bad as his head bounced hard on the floor. Cursing the cause of the noise, he turned over and sat upright. What had made the noise, he tried to figure out. For a moment he looked around, nonplussed, but he remembered his dream, and what had made that booming noise. Blast-ended skrewts, they were the horribly ugly entities that haunted his nightmares, and one blasting off had woken him up, luckily. Groaning, he pushed himself up off the ground, and stumbled slightly, still feeling the damage that the stone floor had caused to his head.
After a few minutes, his head cleared, and he remembered that today was one of the Hogsmeade trip he had been waiting for. He quickly got undressed, and walked over to the dresser next to his bed. He began searching through his mess of clothes, looking for something appropriate of a day for relaxation. He found his favorite pair of jeans, black as night and cut up around the knees, then put them on, relishing in the sheer delight that the jeans seemed to give him as the coolness of the fabric touched his legs. He found a suitable shirt as well, long sleeved, white, and had an red-tailed hawk design on the front of it. This was about the only time that students were allowed to wear something other than the usual school uniform that they wore. Putting on some socks and shoes, his outfit was complete, except..... yes he needed an hat. Searching, he found his Winbourne Wasps beanie and put it on. Looking himself over in the mirror, his thoughts of the fairer sex popped up, and he believed he was ready to use his charm on any unsuspecting young lady. Throwing a plain blood-red hoody on, he grabbed up his wand, sticking it in his left pocket. He hastily left the dorms, out the common room, and through the castle.
Once out of the castle, Julius saw that he really wasn't that late in heading to Hogsmeade, in fact he was one of the first to leave. He had passed the Great Hall, and had seen that it was still packed full of students eating. Wondering whether this meant that his friends wouldn't be there when he arrived or if they had left without him, he didn't know, but he wanted to head out on his own, so he grabbed an carriage to himself. It left at a good pace, so all he had to do was look outside, watching the scenery pass by.
It only took a few minutes for the carriage to reach the village, but one could always see it before hand, even though it was partially obscurred by trees. It was the Shrieking Shack that one usually saw when first glimpsing the small village, always an incredible sight. A child like grin spread across his face, which was what usually happened when he visited Hogsmeade. It was this very place that had begun his real crime spree at Hogwarts. He had snuck here in his third year, accompanied by Perseus, Jaquin, Nasser, and Jason. The memory was enough to make him grin any time.
The carriage stopped, and Julius came out of his reverie. He quickly exited the ride, and slowly walked into town. He always loved those first steps into town, they always felt different, due to the fact that one inevitably changed in some way when they visited a place that they hadn't been to in a while. He saw the Three Broomsticks close by, and decided he needed a Butterbeer for old times sake. He hastened his pace, and reached the door within moments. He opened the door and walked in, taking in the fumes that reached his nostrils. They were a mix of different drinks and aroumas, and some were bad, some good, but all smelled sweet and right when melded together.
He made his way to the bar, where the ever voluptuous Madam Rosmerta served her customers, and playfully flirted with her a bit before ordering up a Butterbeer. He pointed to a table in the back where he would be, and made his way over to it. It was devoid of anyone, so it would be inviting, if say perhaps a beautiful woman wanted to join him. He sat down, in an relaxed position, waiting patiently for his drink.
He heard the footsteps before he heard the voice, and looked up to see his fellow Gryffindor, Andrew Thornton, walking up asking if he could sit at the table. " Need you ask? Of course, you may, but alas you are not the beautiful woman I expected to just show up out of the blue." he replied, a wide smile on his face, his tone holding that joking persona that is almost always did. " Still, your company is much welcomed, and although a beautiful woman you are not, at least your not Drake Manning." He paused, and asked politely " What have you been up to nowadays?" He hadn't talked to Drew in a while, and it was always fun to catch up with his friends. It was after he finished talking that Madam Rosmerta appeared, placing two drinks on the table. He picked up his Butterbeer, and took a swig, awaiting Drew's reply.
