“Hosgmeade!” Norah woke with a start. The girl couldn’t help but be excited when she actually took the time to plan something which wasn’t very often. Norah didn’t want to miss out on any experiences in her life, but she wasn’t exactly a planner. But she could keep up with her life which was a good thing considering that she was the only one that dictated it really. Norah saw life as a choice. She could choose to skip class and she could choose to drop out of school and become a clown, but Norah knew that those were poor choices so she simply elected not to take that path. However, she still hated to limit herself. Ack! Norah’s brain was a complex little thing, but she understood it perfectly and that was all that mattered. Norah quickly pulled out a pair of tattered jeans and a royal blue sweater. She made a funny face in the mirror as she brushed her pin-straight chestnut brown hair. She then reached for her white bag and pulled on her Ravenclaw scarf and that was it! Norah was all about house pride so her outfits usually showed some form of that but she wasn’t much on fashion. Nope, she would rather be skate-boarding. Norah ruffled her hair out slightly before smiling and darting out of her dorm.
Norah ate her waffles fairly quickly. She received some glances as she covered them in hot fudge and peanut butter. She didn’t even notice them though as usual. Norah finished off her glass of pumpkin juice and was off. Yes, she was a giddy girl but not normally this giddy. This was to the point that she looked like an air-head. But Norah didn’t notice. Nor did she see anything at all wrong with air-heads. She shook out her hair as she nearly raced the corridors. She couldn’t help it. When excitement overtook her it really over took her. And what was wrong with that? Nothing. Nothing at all. She was excited to spend some time with her friend. She did get to see Harmony frequently but they didn’t have all the same classes nor did they share a dorm. So when Norah got the chance she spent time with her friend, she made the best of it. Norah and Harmony had known each other since first year but they didn’t really talk until their third year. But to Norah it still felt like they had been friends for five years. Not that numbers really matter in life.
Norah squinted her eye-brows as she approached the Hufflepuff common room. Even if Norah could be enthusiastic at times, she wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t about to barge into the Hufflepuff common room. That would be plain silly! Norah crossed her arms and waited for Harmony. A first year student walked out. Norah approached him. “Hi. I’m Norah Walsh.” She said brightly. The little boy stared at her in awe. Sometimes Norah failed to see her beauty, actually all of the time. But this boy sure seemed to notice. “What’s your name?” He flinched. “Jake.” He muttered as he trembled. “Cold?” Norah asked oblivious as always. Jake shook his head. “Okay. Well do you perhaps know Harmony Chan?” She asked. “She should be meeting me to go to Hogsmeade but I haven’t seen her yet.” Jake’s eyes bugged out more still trying to understand why Norah was talking to him. Jake shook his head after nearly a minute of still silence. Norah shrugged her shoulders. “Tis okay. That you Jake. Bye.” She said before walking from the little Hufflepuff closer to the common room. Jake stood eyeing her. His jaw was still dropped in shock.
Norah was too excited to simply lean against the wall and wait. She stomped right up to the entrance to the common room. “Harmony Lily Chan!” She exclaimed in mock anger. However even a mouse could tell that Norah would never be so harsh to anyone. Her tone was actually quite amusing it sounded so fake. Norah giggled at herself. “Harmony I made plans and we will be late!” She sounded like a mother, but in a funny way. Norah chuckled. Harmony would understand how amazing that was better than anyone one. Norah sighed and fought the urge not to run into the common room as she waited for her friend.
((So technically this is in the school right now, but soon enough it will be in Hogsmeade so I put it here.))
