Working in the robe shop was brilliant. It allowed Hester to continue her search for the missing cousin. She had gotten some clue that the stupid little half-blood was a Hufflepuff. This she had overheard from a conversation that Sadie was having with one of her friends while they shopped for robes. Hester only guessed that the girl with Sadie had asked about another friend of Sadie's and she was answering the questions. She had tried to follow them around but it seemed like the more she tried to evesdrop on the two friends, the more customers came into the shop. None of them really bought anything, but she still had to help them with their every whimsy. The slytherin in her really wanted to come out and jinx all of the other customers so that she could listen more to the Hufflepuffs. She still needed more information about this girl. Knowing that she was a hufflepuff was a start, but it got her no where. Has she already graduated? Hester could be fairly sure that the girl had yet to graduate since the girl was younger than her, and Hester had just graduated last year.
She looked around the store, searching for Sadie and her friend. There were still too many heads for her to seperate Sadie's from the rest. She started to panic. How was she going to find out more about this girl. Hester wanted to at least know her name so that she could curse her more in her mind. Hester detested the girl for stealing her grandmother, and Hester wanted her to know that. Hester needed to find this girl. It had bothered her through her whole trip with Arya. Everytime she had seen elderly women playing with what appeared to be their grand children, Hester's thoughts wondered back to the day that her grandmother had left. It was what had made her vicious. It had changed her in ways that she never assumed possible. Hester had become bitter through the unbiding rivalry.
Looking around the shop, she noticed that the crowd was starting to thin out. She was looking for Sadie and the young girl that she had spotted Sadie with. The girl appeared to be a Ravenclaw and close to Sadie's age. Hester wondered how much this Ravenclaw knew about the girl that Sadie had been answering questions about. She hoped that the two of them would still be in the shop browsing when the other customers thinned out again.
