A library was where most people dreaded to be. Who liked to read anyways? Who enjoyed wasted a day away laying around, flipping pages, with minimal physical activity, just to scan over 200 pages of script? Well, also reading to some was a hobby. the chance to fall into another person's life (fiction or not) seemed to be a blessing. To escape their own, and experience another. Or, people just liked to learn about things that were unknown to them. To learn of things they never dreamed of seeing in person. Books could be used for an assortment of pleasures, or woes. It could be seen as a pleasant hobby or a trying time when reading. But to Sydney Rawson, It was quite enjoyable.
Syd was an active girl, so the minimal activity part was what she did when she was winding down her day to relax. She often read at night, before bed. But today, she was on a trip to the Library in Hogsmeade to return her weekly picks. She was often busy during the day, spending time playing with her brothers, or just helping her family. So, a few hours an night was all she was allotted to read. She didn't mind. Since it was distinctly for pleasure she did it whenever she was free. And today, since her younger brother's were off to her aunt's house, She had the time to travel to Hogsmeade and trade in her books for a few new ones to tide her over till school began again.
A large woven bag hung over her shoulder and across her chest. It weighed down at her side as she walked the cobble stone streets of the quaint town of Hogsmeade. She was happy to be back to the town, since she lived aways away, she rarely visited. But not only did she want to get a a few books to read to finish summer, she wanted to relax for the afternoon and wind down. She had two younger brothers that seemed to act just like she did when she was younger. Always on the go and always needing to be entertained. She loved her family, but she needed a day out of the house. And a trip to freshen up her book supply seemed ideal for the day. It wasn't as bright as a normal summer day would be. A few clouds in the sky, and a prediction of a possible summer rain shower, built on Syd's idea to relax inside.
Walking into the front double doors of the library Syd smiled softly as the smell of old books filled her nose. She laughed at the idea of dust, and what ever else she smelled was also accompanying the hard bindings of the millions of books that waited on her search; but she was prepared to find at least four books to add onto her small library at home to read in between old favorites. Walking over to the desk. She opened her bag and pulled out five books that seemed to weigh down her left side. Placing them on the desk, She turned to the librarian and said. "I'd like to return these."
